Dusty kept going on his frantic climb up the snake's neck, taking potshots with arrows as he went. It felt like he was doing little more than poking a pin into a piece of cardboard at this point, accomplishing what felt like little more than leaving golden needles on the giant Grimm's neck. "Well, this is going worse than I'd hoped," he mumbled to himself as he shot a seventeenth arrow into the Grimm's hide. "Definitely not the 'Death walks among you' vibe I'd been going for." He went to draw the eighteenth arrow when he saw a flash of red leap through one of the monster's necks. The next thing he knew, he was airborne. Then he was falling in a worryingly long arc. Buildings passed under neath him as he started careening down back to the ground. The archer hit a button on his bracer, filling a single arrow with Gravity Dust. He drew the arrow and fired it to where he thought he was going to land, a vegetable stand by the looks of it, and had the area around it's gravity ease up.
"Too fast," was the only thing he said before he crashed into a sack of potatoes and sent of flurry of vegetables into the air. He groaned as he stood back up, rubbing his head. A flying potato returned to Earth and knocked Dusty on the head, making him adjust his rubbing to the newer sore spot. "The judges' score?" he said to himself as he stood up and dusted himself off. A large wad of the goop slammed into his back, covering the young man in the nasty green stuff and eliciting a sigh from the goop's victim. "Two out of ten," Dusty said with a look of disgust as he inspected his jacket. "Dammit, this is leather. And the fur lining's going to be all screwed up now!" He stamped his foot in frustration as he walked away from the vegetable stand and back to the growing group of people. He recognized Ferr from the siege on Rift and what the Hunter said next proved complicated: he and most likely Aisio, if she was still here, had conflicting interests with the Vytal crew. He watched the conversation play out, holding back a comment when a Faunus girl he didn't know asked if Ferr was on the right side. He turned to look at Chrohn as his roommate walked up to the group, taking a moment to glance down at his arm. That didn't look too pretty. Definitely dislocated and likely broken.
"Hold on, I can help with that. I've had to reset bones before," Dusty said to Chrohn, walking over to the other boy. He was still synced up with Mizumi, so his enhanced strength should be enough for him to reset Chrohn's soldier. He tapped a button on his bracer, filling an arrow with Ice Dust, which he quickly drew and broke the head on, letting the liquid Dust dribble on to Chrohn's shoulder. "It's not an ice pack, but it should deaden the pain a little bit." He drew another arrow and held it out for Chrohn to take. "Bite this so you don't take your tongue off. Now, hold very, very still. This is going to hurt." Dusty gently lifted up Chrohn's arm, judging the injuries. Definitely a break in his forearm and his elbow was also dislocated. This was definitely bad. He'd have to reset the breaks and Chrohn's elbow first before he could get his shoulder. With a grunt, he clicked the split bone back into one piece and quickly followed by resetting the dislocated elbow. His green aura glowed and flowed into Chrohn as he healed the fixed bones and adjusted his position. He moved behind Chrohn, holding the arm up parallel to the ground with one hand and placing his other hand at the spot where the shoulder and arm should meet. "Try not to scream, okay?" Dusty said. He took a deep breath before pulling back on the arm and pushing the arm bone back into socket, a very gross sounding series of clicks and a grinding noise sounding from the other boy's arm. Dusty's aura glowed again as he healed his friend's fixed up shoulder. "That should do that trick," he said with a nod and a pat to Chrohn's back before looking at Ferr.
"I agree with Busted Bone Boy over here," he said to the Hunter, crossing his arms. "She should come with us. I did find and protect her first, after all. Finders keepers." He very slowly dipped his foot into his shadow, catching a small chunk of shadow on the toe of his boot. If things turned ugly, the students didn't stand much of a chance against two professional Hunters. A quick blinding, then disappearance would be the only way the Vytal kids would be walking away with the princess today.
