Mizumi plummeted towards the ground, listening intently for the order to deploy the dampeners. She laughed at Dusty's comment, her entire face brightening at his voice before she shook her head, attempting to clear her mind. Eve shouted "Now!" and Mizumi's hand slammed into the switch, the shimmering barrier stretching out beneath...most of her. It absorbed the majority of the impact, but she then hit with a little more force then anticipated, knocking the wind out of the giant women. She groaned, and at Eve mentioning they could say they work, pressed into her earpiece and spoke. "Yeah they work, but they need to have some in a larger size." Her words were out of breath and pained as she pulled Blowback off her hip, spinning it into hammer form and using it as a brace to stand up. "I'm gonna catch my breath for a moment, but once I'm done, where do I go?"

Chrohn's descent to ground level was a bit slower than his compatriots. His board was angled downward to trigger his approach to the ground. And while he was going down, a bit of radio chatter was going on. Smooth jump, I sure as hell didn't have one. That door hatch popped outta nowhere. The thought was bitter, but Chrohn could only blame himself for not watching where he was going.
The ride down, aside from the breeze that was created from his descent, was fairly uneventful with a clear lack of excitement. Upon seeing that his allies were already on the ground, he sped up his flight by angling the board down a bit more and put more pressure on the thrusters while releasing some of the pressure on the black dust, further increasing his acceleration. After a few moments he caught up with the group, swerving around while keeping his grip on the sword in his hand, creating small dunes from the force of air that the board had behind it. "Wooo, didn't need to use the Impact Dampener," Chrohn said as he hopped off of his hoverboard, "So we're heading to the capital now, right?"
After this question Chrohn proceeded to adjust the current set up of his equipment. He unstrapped the impact dampener, sheathed his sword on his back, strapped the impact dampener to his left arm, and now carried his hoverboard over his shoulder in his right arm.

Prior to the mission, Eve had set up her Scroll to display the students’ Aura levels, glancing at them quickly before stuffing the device back into its holder. In the young woman’s opinion, the drop couldn’t have gone any easier. Everyone landed safely - for the most part - and seemed to be unscathed. The students even found it in themselves to remain relatively lighthearted in the midst of the serious mission, to which Eve smiled and rolled her eyes. “I can see why they stuck the three of you together.” She was with a chuckle. “Make sure you kids don’t lose that spark as you progress through the years of Vytal.”
Fastening the straps of her backpack, tightening it close to her body, Eve motioned for the students to follow her. “There’s no time to waste. If the Cult is in the city, it’s likely that they already know they’re coming.” Her eyes shifted quickly to Chrohn, her expression one of slight disappointment. “And you’re little stunt probably didn’t help us.” She added. “In fact, assuming they’ve got eyes on the sky, it’s likely you gave us away.” She let out a frustrated huff before shaking her head. “Nevermind, students. Let’s move.” Trekking through the short distance felt like it took hours, the winds of the desert whipping sand in their faces.
Eventually, they reached the wall of the city, and a small access door that was created for emergency evacuations. “Alright, class. Keep your weapons ready.” Eve directed them, drawing Skorpio as she placed a hand on the door. “Once we’re in here, we don’t know who might be an enemy. It’s important that you do not attack anyone unless they attack you first.” She raised a finger to her lips in a hushing motion, counting down from three with her fingers before rushing through the door. Her eyes scanned the access shaft quickly, ensuring there was no one around that could compromise the mission. Looking back at the students, she waved them through.
She wasted no time. “Let’s go, you guys.” She said calmly as she began rushing down the long adit.
Back in Setek, Amber sat among the group of orphans, telling them fanciful stories of her travels from Rift. Having such tales to tell was something that, only a year ago, she never thought she’d be able to experience. Luckily, she had managed to get away from her old life, choosing to dedicate herself in the pursuit of becoming a Huntress. It helped that she didn’t have to do it alone, having been assisted by an old Hunter that happened to be at the right place at the right time. “What’s the scariest monster you’ve eber fought, Am’er?” The eldest child asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. Amber’s expression twisted as she thought hard, purposefully making a goofy face.
“That’s a good question.” She replied, tapping her finger to her face as her eyes looked up towards the ceiling. “Probably an Elder Taijitu. That’s not a fight that I won, mind you, but it was definitely the scariest thing I ever fought. They’re much bigger than the stories make them sound!” She threw her arms up, imitating a monster’s sounds, followed by the children responded with exaggerated screams and laughter. There were days, like today, where the once princess felt like she was a surrogate mother to the children. Despite having only been in Setek for about a week, she felt close enough to the orphans to call them family. If she ever left, she’d do everything to ensure they were taken care of.
A sudden crack - glass being broken under a boot - echoed through the abandoned house. Amber’s blood ran cold, and the look on the kids’ faces changed drastically. “All of you, get out of here - now!” She snapped in a whisper. The eldest girl squeezed her hand tightly, mouthing the words “Be careful.” Amber nodded, mouthing back with “Don’t worry, I will.” The kids made their exit, sneaking through the back of the building as another piece of glass broke beneath the sole of someone’s boot. Her breathing rattled as she turned slowly, her ears catching the quiet steps of someone making their way down the hall. “I know who you are- why you’re here. You don't scare me.” She said, trying her hardest to avoid looking scared.
“Did you hear me?! I’m not afraid of you!!” She added, her tone becoming significantly more aggressive. In the darkness, the sound of a sword being drawn could be heard, accompanying the footsteps growing closed - and faster. “Everyone is afraid of me, your highness.” A deep voice responded. As a dark cloaked figure emerged from the shadows, its face wrapped in reddened bandages, her eyes shifted quickly to the window that was mere feet from her. The figure raised its hand, aiming directly at her, as an intense ball of fire began to take form. Amber knew what she had to do. Frantically, she lunged forward, crashing through the glass before plummeting to the streets below.
He had found her.

Four days prior
Ferr stood before a hologram of a representative of Vytal. A fellow graduate of the Hunter's academy. Their conversation started out mellow with many jokes and strolls down memory lane. Ferr snicked. "...Then I said, Ferr sure. And then she gave up the fight and walked out the ring." His companion began to laugh aloud while holding onto his face. The sound was genuine and real. It was an opportunity which came along so rarely. And for good reasons too. Ferr glanced at the time, they had spent their reunion laughing and joking until the wee hours of the morning. Long after any ease-droppers would have dispersed. "I thank you Justin, for amusing me with your time. No doubt you are busy."
"Indeed I am." The other man said with a smile and nod. This would be the last time either made a cheerful expression during their meeting. "So you ready to hear what I need to say?" Ferr took in a deep breath and took a seat. The door was closed and windows shut. No one could listen in. "I have my system clear of nostalgia. Please inform me." Justin nodded. "That's the Ferr I know. And the Ferr I know is strong enough to rescue Princess Amberleigh." Ferr threw himself out of his chair and stood up tall. His situation grew more important than he originally thought. "Appears she's been in Setek. Don't know her exact location, but she is somewhere in there. We have reports to prove this-"
"And you need me to go in because bad thing?" Ferr interrupted. Wasting time with sarcasm only because he already has the next day planned out.
"A team is being formed. Students of Vytal and Hunters that were called in. We also wish for you to join in. Though people might still be tender about the Rift invasion."
"That was sanctioned and had a reason behind it." Ferr clarified. "It was because the Princess was missing. And now that we know where she is, perhaps things will calm down a little."
"You must have been living under a damn rock." Justin referred to the incident at Vytal. To which Ferr lowered his head and crossed his arms. "You'll be sent the full details. Try not to make it too obvious you are Legion. Most of the students didn't care much for that battle. Understood?"
...
"Understood." Ferr's words echoed the silence which was his own mind. Due to a error, Ferr was forced to take a smaller aircraft towards the mission zone. Though he was late, Ferr hoped Vytal informed the team ahead of his presence. Otherwise things could get ugly. One well-experienced Hunter against some students was no big deal. Their handler might kill Ferr if introductions go south though. However because of his lateness, Ferr was making a riskier move. Having his pilot fly closer to Setek before Ferr jumped out. He checked his equipment, finding his weapons in place, side-arm at the ready, and Dust around his waist. Without further delay, the pilot lowered the bay-doors and notified Ferr that it was time to jump. Grabbing hold of a damper, Ferr threw himself out into the desert.
He allowed the wind to pass over his body for a time before diving towards the wall separating Setek and the desert. From above, he could see the group of students plus handler. Once the Knight adjusted his trajectory, he activated the damper. Slowing his decent until he hit the sand. Being inexperienced with this method, Ferr hit the ground harder than he had wished. Or he was meant to. A low thud indicated his crash. While the injury was mild and not noteworthy, Ferr worried he would have given away their position. Clad in armor and his worn-out helmet, Ferr rushed towards the access door. Nearing the rear of the party.

Chrohn was a bit embarrassed. His little "stunt" was meant more for safety than anything else, but Chrohn could agree. If this wasn't such a sensitive mission with someone of such importance, Chrohn wouldn't have felt as bad, or so he felt. However if someone came close to dying because of his actions, that's definitely something Chrohn couldn't overlook in his own behavior. "Sorry," he muttered.
At her mention, Chrohn drew Lucky 7 and hooked up the hoverboard on his back. From this point on, Chrohn took to walking about with a lighter step, before Eve waved him and the rest of the group in through the door. Before him was a place that he'd only heard of in the news.
(Sorry it's short, but it's all I could do with the time allotted today)

Dusty jokingly punched Chrohn in the arm after Eve berated him before tousling his hair right after. "Mistakes happen, man," the young man said. "Don't let it bother you too much. We've got a job to do and moping around isn't going to get it done. Besides, if we do end up fighting this cult, we can give back to them what their 'god' did to Ms. Rose." Dusty's smile faded as the words left his mouth and his gaze hardened into a glare. He drew Ardu and Leagtha and snapped them together into Daybreaker at Eve's word, giving the bowstring a experimental pluck to check its tension. "Let's give these bastards the good, old one-two," the archer said, grinning again before dashing into the tunnel.
As they ran, Dusty had an idea. He placed two fingers to his ear to activate the communicator so he could speak a little bit quieter instead of shouting to everyone around him. "When we get topside, I think it's best if I take to the rooftops. I'm better at long range and we could use someone scouting ahead to check for any danger. Plus, I could give some good fire support with few obstructions from up above. Let justice rain from above, you know."

Mizumi nodded, fully lifting herself up and making her way to the rest of the group. As Eve berated Chrohn for his entrance, Mizumi looked to the ground and sighed, not wanting to contribute heavily to either side of the argument. Dusty's comment on where he would be best brought the woman to her senses and she spoke into the earpiece as well. "I would do best on the ground, I personally prefer hitting things up close." This had the dual effect of putting her where she was best, and also helping both her and Dusty not get distracted with each other. She followed closely behind the group, entering the evacuation tunnel with a small amount of effort, and continued simply following Eve. She subconsciously rubbed a hand along her neck, still slightly unnerved by the fact that Cirsi could not assist her at all during this mission, lest the rest of the group hear her. Releasing a deep sigh, she hefted Blowback in one hand, spinning it gently through the air, careful not to hit anyone. The purple crystals in its shaft began to glow as kinetic charge began building within it.

Chrohn seemed to have taken Eve’s words a little harsher than she intended, but at least - she thought - her point had gotten through to him. They simply could not give the enemy any opportunity to get a step ahead - it’d be the death of them all. She did her best to flash a reassuring smile to the student, but found it very difficult in the heat of the moment. Leading them further and further through the tunnel, Dusty chimed in through the earpiece. "When we get topside, I think it's best if I take to the rooftops.” He pointed out, to which Eve responded with a slight nod. He wasn’t wrong, given his acclimation to long-range attacks.
The girl, Mizumi, made known her desire to remain on the ground. Again, Eve nodded. “You’re both correct.” She said as they finally reached the exit to the tunnel. “Now we know exactly what to do once we’re through the door.” Placing her hand on the latch for the door, Eve’s eyes set on the students one last time with a sigh. “Okay, class. Ready your weapons.” She said, flinging the door open. Without waiting, she dashed through hoping the students would follow without hesitation. “Dusty, rooftops. Go. Mizumi, on me. Chrohn, take the rooftops on the opposite side.” She called into the earpiece. “Keep your eye out for the Princess - and be prepared for an attack from the enemy. They likely know we’re around.”
While this was happening, Amber had finally landed in the street. The glass from her crashing through the window had done a number, marking her with small scattered cuts. Blood trickled from the small wounds, stinging as she staggered to her feet. There were no signs of her pursuer, however, which eased her already intense panic. Now on her feet, Amber took no chances and ran as fast as she could down the street. She had to find help. Someone, anyone, that could keep her safe. Not far from where she was, a deep rumble shook the city to its core. It was like an earthquake, just barely enough to throw her off balance. Falling to her feet, Amber looked behind her to see the robed figure slowly making his way towards her.
“Someone, help me!” She cried out, her voice carrying across town.
Her attacker raised his hand, a polished black orb held tightly in his twisted fingers. The orb pulsed with a dull black light, causing the small colorless orb around her neck to pulsate in tandem with it. Amber, despite every fiber of her being begging her to do so, couldn’t move an inch. The hooded man’s arm reached for thin air as a black and twisted form of a sword manifested in his hand. She could feel the tears building up as he drew closer and closer. In fact, she even found herself closing her eyes. Maybe this was all just a dream - maybe if she closed her eyes, she could open them up and be back at home. She didn’t want to die.
She couldn’t. Not yet.

Ferr entered the corridor behind the Vytal students. He paused for a moment and watched the youths run towards fate. A feel of woe pinged the Hunter. Their intensity could be felt from here. Whoever these kids were, they were trained well and had good hearts. Ferr took in a deep breath and began to run softly after closing the entrance. Perhaps he should remain out of sight and mind until the right moment. It would provide a good opportunity for him to scout the new class. He knew well his class turned out some major Hunters. His hopes were high for them. A finger brushed the hilt of Gungnir, ensuring quick access should plans go awry.
Ferr took pause while the young team's handler addressed the the members. While she did this, Ferr crouched down in his armor before stopping all together. He moved back a few inches to ensure he was hidden in shadow. The woman was checking to ensure total preparation was still needed at their level it seemed. Ferr had a slight chuckle at the the thought. Of course they do. Everyone needs that one moment where they either fall back or step forward. No one was ready for battle one-hundred percent of the time, everyday all day. Especially if deranged killers were involved. Once Ferr heard the exit open, and see the Huntress rush out, he concentrated his aura in order to activate his semblance. This caused a slight change in the air around him. One which would hopefully be over looked. With his face hidden behind a helmet, his bright eyes began to glow an azure blue in preparation for the mission. With any luck, he'll catch a glimpse of the Princess. If need be, he could use Aura Optics to enhance his vision. Finally, Ferr stood back up and prepared to run once the students had followed their teacher.

He shrugged after dealing with his friends. They were right; brooding on it wouldn't get anyone anywhere. Chrohn was going to be busy living on for Ama and himself. Now at the combat orders, Chrohn was somewhat confused. Topside? Why topside for my route? I don't have any ranged capabilities. Here he shrugged. Not much I can do about the situation. Chrohn cracked his knuckles as he approached a building opposite of Dusty's assigned location. The building was rugged, and from what Chrohn could tell, it lacked a lot of hand holds.
"So how am I gonna scale this bad boy?" He looked around and found a few objects that would aid in his ascent, assuming that Chrohn would be able to properly control his body in adjusting his weight so that nothing is bearing down too much on whatever happens to be supporting it.
Yes, Chrohn had his hoverboard, but after the berating he just received, he figured it would be best to save that for a later date, if at all for this mission.
With this, he started climbing. The cloud watcher started with a soft ascension onto a nearby dumpster while looking for that next handhold. It was just above him, a a brick windowsill was protruding from the wall by several inches, perfect to grab and hopefully stand on, assuming it was structurally sound. All Chrohn could hope for was that stability behind his support.
A leap later and he was clambering up, with carefully positioning his body as he did so. The support held, though dust and small parts of the brick fell to the ground below. Good thing I'm not afraid of heights. Another leap to a nearby pipe, a few shimmies over and another pull up later and Chrohn was on the roof. "I hate parkour." Another moment later and he pressed on the earpiece, "I'm on my side of the rooftops"
