- Please be sure to read the following threads: RULES, THE PLOT, ROLEPLAY RULES, AURA, and SEMBLANCES.
- When posting your application, please name it in LAST NAME, FIRST NAME format (e.g. "Smith, John")
- Characters must be at least 17 years old to begin their Freshman year at Vytal Academy, 18 for their Sophomore year, so on and so forth. This should be indicated in the "Occupation" section (e.g. "Freshman", "Sophomore", etc). You can gain some insight on the Academy by visiting the end of the KINGDOMS lore thread.
- Check out the <SMALL NEEDS> section to find characters that are wanted for certain plots. This will get you into the role play a lot faster, too!
- Characters start with an initial Aura Point reserve of 100 and gain 25 points per active year, meaning they'll graduate from the academies with 200 under normal circumstances. Hunters will continue to grow their reserve by 50 points per active year under normal circumstances. Some characters, however, display much more potential than others, and their desired reserve will ultimately be decided with staff cooperation.
- Student Aura scaling explained: Freshman characters start with 100 AP and, upon completing your first year, gain 25 - giving them a grand total of 25. This growth is mirrored throughout their years as a student, gaining 25 points after completing a year. This means senior class students will graduate with 200 AP.
- Drain on Aura does not have to be excessive, it can be graceful as well. Regardless of the path you choose, there should be a clear amount of Aura drained by performing certain tasks with one's Aura. If staff feel that the drain for certain tasks is not enough, they will work with you to make it acceptable. As with the above rule, some characters have much more potential than others.
- Avoid "Sue/Stu" characters. What does this mean, exactly? The problem with that question is that it's a little hard to define, as many places have a different definition of the terms. The best bet is for you to check out <THIS> Sue/Stu test. Alternatively, if you have more time, you can find a more detailed test <HERE>. If your character passes, bravo! If not, back to the drawing board!
- There are three playable races on TWBTD. They are Humans, Faunus (humans with aesthetic animal traits, such as rabbit ears or wolf claws), and Androids. For the most part, all these races are mostly the same, but there are some differences to be noted. Apart from their animal aesthetic, Faunus have greater reflexes than humans and enhanced night vision. Androids follow suit, having stronger physical capabilities than humans and Faunus, however, they lack a soul and thus the ability to use more powerful Aura abilities and Semblances.
- Faunus are only allowed to possess one animal trait. This is usually found in the form of ears or a tail, but can sometimes include things like water breathing for aquatic Faunus or sub-flight for avian or other flying types.
- Once you have completed your application, please post in <READY FOR REVIEW>!
