Aisio Pendragon vs. Finn Cullen As the woman landed and prepared her weapon, Cullen motioned for the other two men to halt. He looked them over quickly, doing his best to analyze their abilities based on their appearance. The one was clearly a newcomer, calluses having barely formed on his hands as compared to the other, whose features were worn from years of fighting. With his head, Finn motioned for the younger of the two to retreat. Resistant at first, the young man eventually did so, leaving the two more experienced fighters to deal with the girl. Cullen smirked in response to her introduction. “Well, it’s nice to meet you Lady Pendragon,” he replied, bowing politely, even slightly sarcastically. “I’m afraid I must apologize for the condition of the place, but you must understand, we weren’t expecting guests.” The other guard chuckled under his breath, causing Cullen to do the same. Both took defensive stances, with Cullen transforming his weapon into its war scythe form. “My name is Sir Finn Cullen, Commander of the Royal Guard - also known as Finn Tosenslayer,” he said, introducing himself in return. Even in the heat of battle, sometimes being a little polite could go a long way. “I’m afraid I can’t let you anywhere near the king or queen, unfortunately,” he added. “In fact, making sure you never step foot in the next room is my job description.” Cullen and the guard prepared themselves for what seemed to be certain combat. On his life, he would ensure the safety of the Sablier family. Ferr Aesir vs. Soldiers The incoming fire from the Rift soldiers was relentless, as bullet after bullet sprayed over the battlefield and lodged themselves into Ferr’s ice shield. As he began his charge, two of the seven enemies stopped to reload their weapons. One of them was unlucky, the target of Ferr’s first attack. He flailed backwards, trying to avoid the attack as best he could. Unfortunately, this was not enough, as Svalinn ripped through the man’s forearm and sent him sprawling back. It would be the second attack, by the grace of whatever gods looked down upon Remnant, that would miss him. Clutching to the bloodied wound, the man howled in pain as the closest soldier to him took advantage of Ferr being mid-attack. Instinctively, he pulled a stun baton from his belt, thrusting it at Ferr’s side. The other guards, dismayed by how easily their comrade had been put down, ran off into the city. Hopefully, they could lose him in the chaos, assuming he decided to pursue them. In the other direction, Hunter clashed with Hunter in what was sure to be one of the bloodiest battles since the Great War. Ferr would now have to decide which course of action to take: chase the five soldiers that made their retreat or move deeper into the Royal District. Dusty Ghrian vs. Ceyla Regenwald Dusty’s tactic had turned out to be a lucky success. One after another he dodged incoming fire from a rather large group of Legion soldiers, including two Guardians and just less than a dozen Legionnaires. With each shot came a wall of stone, blocking all routes the invading force might have had to escape. Unfortunately, one of the Guardians had tracked the young man’s movements as he jumped from point to point, locking in on his location on the nearby roof. Four Legionnaires, armed for demolition, synced to the Guardian’s sensors. Rockets fired off in the boy’s direction, intent on wiping taking the whole building down if they had to. As the clouds broke for a moment, sunlight flooded the city. The white of the snow became intense, almost blinding to some, and was enough to distract the human soldiers that had been trapped by Dusty’s wall of earth. Little did he know at the time, but the young Hunter’s antics had caught the attention of the nearby red-eyed Huntress from Legion. Coquel had watched as a wall of earth spawned from nowhere, and she quickly sprawled to the rooftops to see what all the commotion was about. She detested needing to leave Ferr to defend himself against the small troop that had targeted him but figured the young man was more than capable of taking care of things on his own. Seeing the explosive attacks on a small section of a nearby building, she concluded that was where the source of these walls had to be. Without hesitating, Coquel readied Daedalus in the event of a surprise attack and began running in the direction the Guardians were now firing. Hopefully, this wasn’t all overkill. They had their orders, but Coquel would rather as few people died as possible - and that as few of the casualties were younglings as possible. If all went smoothly, she wouldn’t have to take this person’s life. Haru vs. Soldiers If the android had been capable of frustration, it was probably an emotion it would be experiencing at that moment. Missing its attack, the first of the swordsman Legionnaires tumbled forward and directly into the gunner’s line of fire. A short burst of fire and the android slumped down lifelessly. Haru’s rush at the remaining swordsman was hard for the robot to track, and it was quickly cleaved in two by the boy’s attack. His training at Vytal Academy was beginning to show, that was for sure. In the same quick motion that had just dispatched the swordsman, Haru made quick work of the gunner. During the relatively short time that had passed since Haru initiated his attack, a Guardian had wandered nearby, firing aimlessly into the buildings lining the streets. Its goal was simple: kill as many as possible. Noticing the Faunus boy, the Guardian prepared to engage him in combat, locking on with its energy guns and rocket launchers. This would be a true test of skill for the boy. He had done well against smaller units, but how would he do when faced with one of Legion’s most powerful machines? Haru had managed to defeat the three androids, but his good mood was quickly ruined as he heard the huge mech unit shooting the building around him, likely killing civilians. The act angered Haru, killing civilians who had no way to defend themselves, it was truly pathetic. Haru hadn’t planned on taking a mech head to head as he had not figured a sure way to beat them, but now he had no choice as the guardian locked onto him ready to engage. Haru wasted no time in acting, he knew the guardian could not be as fast as Haru was. Closing the distance between himself and the guardian Haru activated one of his lovely spells.
Only yards away without stopping Haru formed 5 Shards of air that looked like harmless wind. But each shard was meant to hit a joint in the mech, one at each knee, one at each elbow joint, and one at the mechs neck. But Haru couldn’t stop there, using his semblance again he slashed twice while nearing the bot, shooting out two of his ice shard, special ones in fact, that would shatter on Impact to form two more ice shards to attack. If they shattered then it would mean a total of 9 shards hitting the mech. But Haru still wasn’t done, doing the work on the run he used his momentum from the second swing to jump and roundhouse the mech in the body followed by a slash as Haru would be propelled backwards by his own kick. As he landed he cared not what the mech would do as he threw up a 10 ft wind wall in case of an explosion.

Aisio's look darkened when Cullen told her she wouldn't be allowed past. She had hoped to get through this with minimal bloodshed, get to the king, detain him, end the war. Unfortunately it seemed that was no longer an option. "Very well." Aisio leaped into the air and emitted a blast of wind from her shield towards her two opponents, the force propelling her upward and backwards. Immediately she spun in a circle, sweeping Excalibur in a circle as the green crystal in its hilt glowed. The swing cleaved through the air itself, a shrill shriek ringing across the courtyard as an influx of wind filled the vacuum and sent a large gust towards the two men on the ground. Pulling her wings back and drawing upon the fire crystal on her harness, she emitted two cones of fire from each wing, each of them placing one enemy in the middle of a cone. Aisio spun around in the air, changing the momentum of the gust into forward momentum as she charged at Cullen and the guard. The whole thing happened in only a few seconds, and as she charged she held the shield towards them in an attempt to close the distance. A scythe's advantage is a long reach, so closing the distance and staying close is the proper course of action. When she got next to him she swung Excalibur in a wide horizontal arc, the five foot greatsword leaving a trail of embers as the flames coursed along it. The fire in her eyes showcased her anger and passion. "You're king tried to assassinate Chairman Barnett, yet you would protect him? Prevent him from being punished for his crimes?" The words were punctuated with another swipe from Excalibur, swinging up and to the left in an attempt to cleave him in two. She spent the whole time flying above and around him, using her wings to acquire the height advantage. Following the swing she flew over his head and dropped, thrusting the greatsword straight into his chest before flapping her wings and flying to a distance again. She had to be careful, couldn't stay in range for too long or risk taking an unfortunate blow from that scythe. This man was clearly more experienced then her, which meant Aisio had to rely on superior tactics and mobility to win this fight.

Dusty scanned the now walled off battlefield. It seemed that no matter what the defenders of Rift did, the tide of Legion soldiers never seemed to shrink. But he did have them all trapped. Now all he needed was some way to quickly reduce their numbers. His mind raced to come up with a plan, only for his train of thought to be interrupted a powerful explosion from right next to him. He instinctively curled his body away from the source, shattered pieces of wood bouncing off of his jacket and metal breastplate. He turned back and looked back at the battlefield. The young man's eyes widened as he spotted a Guardian and a squad of soldiers armed with explosives were all aiming towards him. with their weapons. The roof of the building was nearly shattered.
"Shit!" Dusty yelled as he leapt out of the way of another barrage of fire, tossing a bottle of Glass Dust behind him. A large wall of Glass formed to absorb more of the fire and give him time to escape. He ran across the series of stone walls and roofs in his path, distancing himself from the steadily crumbling building. He ducked behind another roof again and went to draw another arrow from his quiver when he felt a sudden warmth hit his back and a dark shape form on the roof in front of him.
The sun had come out.
Dusty grinned broadly and released the arrow from his fingers. He broke Daybreaker down into Ardu and Leagtha and sheathed the twin knives onto the harness on his back. He hopped down onto the ground behind one of his walls, his irises flickering from bright blue to jet black. Dusty rubbed his hands together gleefully before slamming them down onto the street. As his semblance was activated, the shadows around the entire walled off battlefield began to shimmer and began to reach in Dusty's direction. His own shadow began to grow up and out from the ground, slowly solidifying as it grew taller and taller. It quickly cleared the tops of the buildings and towered over the battlefield below. He took a step into the field, aiming to crush a group of Legionnaires beneath its black boot. "You're in my shadow now," Dusty said quietly, a wide grin across his face.

Before Ferr could even react to the five soldiers' retreats, the warrior had to deal with the sudden pain rasping his side. His layers of clothes didn't assist in preventing his skin from being burned or the volts from stinging his body. Ferr hadn't felt this sort of pain in a good while; possible since he was attacked by bandits months ago. It wasn't the impact of the baton. It was a quick and fading feeling. The stun-gun however caused Ferr to lose his cool and fly off the handle. Yelling out a blood-curtailing roar, he jabbed the man in the face with his shield. Upon contact an ice crystal was used to freeze the assailant's face. This would have killed a man on it's own but Ferr was not satisfied yet. "Go to hell bastard!" This would be the final words either of the two guards heard. With great force Ferr bashed his left fist into the frozen man's face while his right brought Gungnir down quickly. The blade managed to cut the ice and then flesh. Spinning on the balls of his feet, and curving the blade as it descended, Ferr used momentum to toss his sword into the already downed fighter without an arm. "Three lives taken today! Will there be more?"
Azure eyes glowed with anger from the sudden attack. It burned his side; and his ego too perhaps? In any case, his vision became blurred thanks to the sun reflecting off of clean and dirty snow alike. Crimson and Virgin, red and white. As rays of light both ascended and descended, a new breath of air rushed into Ferr. He was prepared to run, catch the other five soldiers, and brutally kill them all. For a moment this was his new course of action. Bending a knee beside his example of brutality, the warrior pulled his weapon out of the warm corpse. As Ferr did this, he placed his fingers in the stained snow while diving into thought. It would be easy to rush into battle seeking blood. A warrior, a hunter, an Aesir would obviously rush to chase down the five missing targets. This was not Ferr however. He was strong and wouldn't allow a small outburst jeopardize his chances of getting out alive-- of winning this battle. Gripping his fist in the snow, Ferr pulled up crimson snow flakes and scattered them onto the bodies of the down guard. "Sorry." The somber, hushed word was filled with regret. Only after this assault would he have time to truly seek out peace of mind. For now he stood back up and turned to his ride. The machine was filled with bullet holes. It wouldn't drive even if it got a push start. Not to mention the tall formations which now halted the Legion forces from advancing. There was only one choice for Ferr now.
Leaping back into Slip, Ferr began to start the engine. Once the engine began to resonate pained cries, he initiated it's hover mode. While this would kill the machine, it could be repaired. In exchange, Ferr now had the ability to maneuver around and over buildings for three minutes. Holding onto the controls tightly, the Hunter positioned the jet to lift up into the sky. Now at a level equal to that of the pillars Dusty created, Ferr had now escaped the battlefield for but a moment. Tilting the dust-powered jets forward, Slip was now going faster, reaching a speed on par with a troop-carrier. His aim was to get as close to the Royal Distract and the King's home as possible within the two minutes of power he had remaining.

Aisio Pendragon v. Cullen Cullen wasn’t going to take any chances. As soon as he saw the woman jump into the air, he hastily grabbed two rounds - one Earth and one Energy - and inserted them into the chamber of his weapon. During this time, the gunner that had remained with him opened fire, providing cover while all this was happening. All in all, Cullen estimated it was only a few seconds until he was complete and the woman had send a wave of wind and fire in their directions. Cullen and his ally braced themselves, and in one heavy motion, Cullen swiped his scythe upwards and activated the Earth Dust within. A pillar of earth, just large enough to shield both the men, erupted from the ground. The wind and fire were stopped dead in their tracks, but the latter element crippled the wall and caused it to shatter. This was good enough, in Cullen’s eyes. At least they weren’t toast. A little disoriented by the first attack, Cullen had not seen Aisio charging him. She got close - too close. Before he could even react, the gunner raised his assault rifle and unloaded a full magazine at Aisio while she was mid-attack. Her words made the man scoff, almost even grin. The distraction from his ally was one Cullen would take to his advantage, and with a heavy swing of his scythe, Cullen sent a powerful wave of electrical energy pulsing at the woman. Cullen had trained for two decades, mastered his art to become one of the Kingdom’s finest - some even arguing he was among the best in all of Remnant. These were things the level-headed man never let influence him, be it in combat or otherwise. With Aisio’s attack interrupted by gunfire, followed by Cullen’s assault with the scythe, the gunner had reloaded his weapon and prepared himself once again. Finn had to be honest with himself here, this guy really knew how to fight. Taking a defensive stance, Cullen’s attention returned to Aisio, directly answering her comments just a moment ago. “Our king had nothing to do with the attack on Barnett,” He said calmly. “He's too busy mourning the loss of his daughter. Did'ja ever think that maybe your leader was the psychopath trying to start a war?”OOC: The gunner and Cullen’s team counterattack is an example of an interrupt. More about them, if you’re unfamiliar, can be found HERE. Ferr Aesir Many guards noted the vehicle hovering in the sky, but due to the sheer amount of chaos within the city, had little time to dedicate to catching him. They were unprepared for such a battle, and as minutes became hours it was clear that they were never going to retaliate in full for the attack. Legion had caught Rift by surprise. One guard, however, saw an opportunity to take the flying craft down. He was a frail looking boy, probably just enlisted. He was one of the only guards in the barracks at the time of the attack, leaving him with a number of weapons that would have done his allies good on the battlefield. He was decked out for war. An assault rifle over one shoulder, a sword at his hip, and a pistol on his thigh if he needed it. More for the situation was the missile launcher he had acquired from the restricted access locker, which he was only able to open because of damage it sustained in the initial attack. Aiming said launcher at the hovering vehicle, he waited for a time for it to be even in the sights. Beep...beep...beep..beep..beep.beepbeepbeepbeepBEEP! A solid lock and a prompt pull of the trigger and a missile was hurled in Ferr’s direction. While it took its course, the young guard jumped from his vantage point and followed on foot as fast as he could. If he were able, he would avenge all his fallen comrades as soon as he found the man he had hopefully shot down. OOC: Not my best for Ferr's response, but they should get better following. Haru One attack after another, Haru went to work attacking the Guardian. It staggered in place for a moment, trying to process what was happening. The boy was fast, but not fast enough to evade the massive machine’s sensors. Every shard that was sent in the mech’s direction was met with fire from its energy gun. The shards exploded on impact, sending a wave of more flying in its direction. The machine responded appropriately, firing at the new wave with its rockets. Of the nine, it managed to shoot down five. The four other shards struck the Guardian, but not in a place that was particularly effective, having obviously been blown off trajectory from the rockets exploding. Still, a hit was a hit. The boy had thrown a wall up to protect himself against explosions, a lucky move given the missiles. The Guardian, however, remained in position - simply aiming its weapons to keep the boy pinned down. This was because, behind Haru, another Guardian and half a dozen men were aiming their weapons at him. It appeared to be the end of the line. The boy’s Aura reserves were sure to be near their halfway mark, another fight of this magnitude was more likely to get him killed. Luckily for him, these men were not heartless. “Drop your weapon and surrender, boy.” The leader of the group ordered. “If you comply with no problems, I’ll see to it personally that you are not harmed.” Dusty Ghrian v. Ceyla Regenwald Coquel watched the boy carefully, out of sight. He had a lot on his hands, what with the barrage of explosives thrown his way. As she studied his response to pressure, she found herself a little impressed. The glass was a good move to cover his tracks, but the shadow thing he did? Now that was a move she found respectable. The time was as good as any for her to activate her own Semblance, the first void of Gallows activated. It was in this void that she had complete control over sound waves and, at least in this application for the time, would use it to completely silence her movements. Surprise was what made Coquel as dangerous of an adversary as she was. Silence made her one of the Fang’s deadliest assassins. She watched as the shadow behemoth grew and grew. It was a little daunting, for sure. Coquel felt that, with the proper training, this kid would go places - especially with his Semblance. Unfortunately for him, he was fighting for the wrong team. Keeping him within eyesight, Coquel kept herself hidden for a time while she contemplated her options. Should she kill him? If so, how? Sword or the gun? Nah, that didn’t seem right. It didn’t feel right. She would have to incapacitate him. Drawing in a quiet breath, Coquel ran towards Dusty from behind. Gallows kept her silent and, once she was close enough, Coquel raised her hand and delivered a heavy strike to the back of Dusty’s head with her hand. Just to be safe, she whipped out her pistol and would raise it to the back of the boy’s head should he be resilient enough to avoid being knocked out. “Give up, boy. Don’t make me kill you.”Coquel’s AP: 720/740 Legionnaires: 225/250 Guardians: 19/32 Legion Soldiers: 207/270 Legion Hunters: 22/27 City of Rift: 108 casualties Update: We’re nearing the intended end of the event. Aisio's eyes widened at the gunfire, and she quickly spun around to place her shield in front of the bullets. Of course, the gunfire kept her attention from the scythe swing rapidly approaching. Luckily for her, she was close enough that the strike didn't have its full power, unluckily she was both in the air and taking the full brunt of it. The blade hit Aisio and sent her slamming towards the ground, a groan escaping her lips as she bounced. Aisio had underestimated the gunner, a mistake she would not make again, and it had cost her an uncomfortable amount of aura. As she bounced Aisio created another wing gust, this one of ice, and sent a stream of icicles towards each of them. She felt her wings start to burn brighter on her back, they were starting to fade. She only had a couple more minutes left on them, then she would have to hold out for thirty seconds on foot before burning another huge chunk of her aura. The gust sent her backwards, propelling herself away from her opponents and to a height above their heads as Excalibur's flame faded away. The last of the embers dissipated as she slid the greatsword into its sheathe, glaring daggers at both of her opponents. "Barnett is no psychopath. This attack came only as a last resort, when Legion couldn't afford to sit idle anymore. Do not try to turn this on us, your king is the only one to commit a wrong here." Aisio floated there for only a moment, the only thing in her hands the large round shield. In an instant she whipped out Flamelash and fired once at the gunner. The red crystal glowed within its glass confines, a 3 inch long dart of flame soaring through the air straight towards the gunner. Just for good measure, immediately after she fired one at Cullen, before flicking the switch on the side of the gun.
The golden revolver shifted, the barrel turning upwards and the grip rounding out, before it became a long cylinder. Aisio flicked another switch, this one causing a 10 foot long whip of flame to extend from the cylinder. She moved slightly forward, getting just in range for her whip, before cracking it towards them. Embers flew as she unloaded a constant barrage of flaming lashes, the cracks being audible quite a distance away, and Aisio's face a stoic face of raw determination. She had taken a nasty hit from that scythe, but that gun had given her a good deal of trouble too. The gun was more of a threat at the moment, so Aisio flung the whip towards it and wrapped it around the gun, attempting to swing it forward and into Cullen before flinging it over to her. Immediately after doing so she pulled the trigger on Flamelash, the end of the whip emitting a burst of fire from behind Cullen. The ends of her wings started to burn away, a clear indicator that she had just under a minute left on them before they burned out completely. She had to hope she could last long enough without her height advantage to activate them again, or that she wouldn't have to so she could conserve aura. Either way she was currently trying to stay at least 8 feet away from them at all times, utilizing the superior reach of her whip to her advantage.

“Drop your weapon and surrender, boy. If you comply with no problems, I’ll see to it personally that you are not harmed.” Was what Haru heard as he failed at destroying the mech in front of him, damn things were stronger than he gave them credit for, barely flinching as his shards hit. He knew now there was no chance to fight, but when people made such promises it was rarely ever the truth, and Haru wasn’t willing to leave it up to pure faith. However he didn’t know the best way to escape, but he began to get down on his knees faking a surrender to buy him time to think. He knew a wind wall would not sustain the danger posed by the large group, so he had to use something he didn’t use often.
As he began to drop his weapon Haru shot both his arms out, the right one to the single guardian throwing up a 10 foot wind wall, the left hand spawned a hurricane in the midst of the group of soldiers. Haru only hoped that the soldiers would be distracted, killed or whatever by the 125mph winds. As his dust did its duty Haru brought around his scythe slamming it on the ground as he pressed its third button, a force of air propelling him up. Due to the rubble from the guardian he was able to grab a stone and fling himself on the other side of the broken wall. Not taking any chances Haru once again sped up his actions and sprinted 2 miles out of the district before he almost collapsed from exhaustion.

Ferr was able to clearly see the target coming into view from over the horizon. Normal buildings, offices and shops, began to slowly being upper-class establishments as Ferr neared the home of the King. It seemed like smooth sailing from there on out. The district was distinguishable from all the others due to it's design and decorative nature. The sight was one to admire and deserved to be taken in. This experience was dulled thanks to the war-zone Rift had become. Carriers in the air, gun fire echoing each breath that disappeared from the world. Hunters and soldiers dying, human and Faunas, Guard and invader. Buildings which symbolized the revival of humanity now fell due to infighting of the very species. This must have been what his ancestors went through daily. Ferr told himself that it will end soon, and his kill count will remain on the low side. He might get scolded by his mother and grandfather for it, but his father will be proud of his diligence. As he began to relax in the drivers seat, something disturbed him. A low whistling sound began to break through the chaos. Hairs on the nip of Ferr's neck stood up and were followed by a chill rushing down his back.
Someone watching him? Quickly scanning the city around him, the warrior only had a moment to understand his situation. The missile fired by the young soldier soared through the air quick and steadily towards Ferr's vehicle. "God no." His voice resonated with a tinge of fear and some denial. He would not fall this day because someone was too afraid to face him combat! How was he going to make it out alive? Could he even do such a thing? Perhaps and perhaps not. "I'll be damned if I die here!" The words were said as though they were fact. As-though his soul would be banished to the underworld should he be killed by artillery.
As the missile neared his position, Ferr tilted the jets downward and aimed for the city below. It was obvious he was going to have to ditch Slip. His favorite method of travel; it was necessary. Before he could formulate a proper plan however, the dust jets died, leaving Ferr in a motor-trike stuck on neutral which was now skidding across the ground. Quickly taking his blade from the side seat, Ferr jumped out of his vehicle and rolled on the ground. Hitting the bright snow, the sidewalk's curb, and then a building. Down the street, he could hear the missile reach it's target. An explosion would toss snow and burning metal into the air before littering the earth. Mild trauma to the head caused Ferr to remain on the ground by an alley way. Gungnir had flown into said alley. Struggling to find his balance, the warrior stumbled into the shadows to reclaim his weapon.

Dusty was grinning madly, an insane glee shining in his coal black irises. The giant shadow version of himself was stomping through the battlefield, attempting to kick, crush, and throw anything that was in its way. The young man did his best to avoid killing any human or Faunus that were fighting for Legion, only trying to incapacitate them, knock them out, or remove them from the battlefield The androids, however, were not so lucky. The young man went out of his way to try and destroy them with extreme prejudice. As the shadowy giant continued its rampage through the battlefield, Dusty had to laugh. With this on their side, there was no way Rift could lose!
Then, he felt a strong, swift strike to the back of his skull.
Dusty grunted in pain as his head snapped forward. His face slammed into the ground, shattering his glasses and sending a gush of blood from his nose. If the world hadn't made a shift to blurry, he would have bee seeing double. His head was pounding as he tried to lift his upper body off of the ground, only for his arm to give out and send him sprawling back down. The shadow giant had long since disappeared and his eyes had since shifted back to blue. He lay on the ground for a moment, letting his head clear for a moment. Someone, he assumed the person who hit him, said something to him, but it came in too garbled for Dusty to understand. So, he stayed on the ground until he felt strong and clear headed enough to lift himself up, only for his head to meet a pistol.
Oh, wonderful.
Dusty really did get caught with his pants around his ankles this time. "Whatever happened to not hitting guys with glasses...?" he mumbled as his mind races to think of a plan. The cold metal of the gun was burning against the back of his head. From what he could infer, the person pointing the gun at him had given him two options: surrender or die. And neither really floated Dusty's boat. The sun was still shining down and his shadow was still on the snow beneath him. He could make a getaway, but he'd have to do it quickly and hope the person wouldn't guess that giants were the only things he could do euthanized shadows. "Both excellent choices," he replied sarcastically, slowly dipping three fingers into his shadow and pulling out a small black sphere. "You really make a compelling argument. But, I'm not so sure door one or two are really vibing with me, you know? So, I'd have to say, that after careful consideration, I choose door number three. Now, let's see what I've won, shall we?"
As he finished speaking, he tossed the small, black orb over his head and squeezed his eyes shut. It exploded in the air, blacking out anyone who happened to be looking at it's vision and blinding them. He followed up by swinging his leg back in a sweep to knock his assailant to the ground before taking off in a mad dash, grabbing the frames of his glasses off of the ground as he did. He had to get away and try and fix his glasses. Without clear sight, he was about as useless as a civilian in this battle.
"Note to self: next time bring the spares along," Dusty told himself.
