Having parted ways with the king, Cullen turned back and made his way to the city. This was the first time it had snowed in a long time. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more Finn was positive that he had no knowledge of the last snow, either. Had it really been that long? He chuckled a bit, running his hand through his hair to slick it back. “Yer turning into an old timer, Finn.” He said to himself. “Might wanna get that checked out before you start forgetting more important things.”As he continued his stroll through the city, Finn watched the way the people interacted with the crystals of ice as they rained down from the sky. Some of the kids were scared, while others found it to be quite enjoyable. Older people, parents of the kids, seemed to be a hundred different synonyms for frightened. He couldn’t blame them, especially with how the weather was sure to impact travel on the roads. Cullen then passed a father with three children and, with a smirk, handed the father a few spare Lien. “Get those mouths fed, yeah?” He said sternly. “They say children are the future and all that. Wouldn’t want them to starve, would we?” The father accepted the sudden gesture, clearly not expecting a complete stranger to just hand him money, especially someone from the royal district of town. This was what Finn Cullen was known for - his generosity and empathy towards the people with less than himself. With a quick, haphazard salute, Cullen turned his back to the man and continued his journey through town. After a while, Cullen began to notice some of the clouds looking eerily dark. Was a storm coming? This struck him as odd, especially considering that apart from snow, the forecast for the next few days was relatively clear. With a slight grimace, he wondered for a second if he should call the phenomenon in. Ultimately, he decided not to do so, figuring it could easily just be him seeing something in the clouds. This stuff was a rarity here, right? Maybe he just didn’t know enough about snow. Approaching the front gate of the city, a slight glint of colored light caught Finn’s eye. Certainly not a star. Maybe it was the sun through the clouds? He glanced up into the sky, trying to catch sight of the odd light once again. Just as be was prepared to give up the search, the light appeared. Red, fading in and out in a strict pattern. Was it...? His blood ran cold, the expression on his face being one of absolute fear. The bottom of a large airship broke through, followed by another, and then another. Legion had arrived. In a fit of panic, Finn ran to the nearest guard booth and grabbed the microphone connected to loudspeakers throughout the city. “This is Finn Cullen of the Royal Guard. All civilians please get inside as soon as possible. Barricade the doors, windows, fireplaces - anything that could be used as an entry point to your home.” He called out, his voice shaking slightly. “All available men and women, please prepare yourselves for combat immediately. The city is under attack. I repeat: THE CITY IS UNDER ATTACK!”As if on cue, the airships began opening fire on the city. Small helicopters left the docking bay of each ship, each one carrying and dropping dozens upon dozens of soldiers, Legionnaires, and Guardians. In a matter of no time, the full force of Legion had entered the city and began combating the forces of Rift.
The time was now. Drawing in one last, calming breath the Captain gave the order. “All units, prepare for combat now! Today we show the Kingdom of Rift that we will not tolerate an attack on our people! Begin the descent now!” The airships did just that, opening the bay doors as they lowered enough in altitude to release the helicarriers that would bring the soldiers down to the streets of Rift. In the meantime, the massive ships began unloading their arsenal at the city below. The Captain sat in his chair on the bridge, gently rubbing his forehead as he contemplated the ramifications of this attack. One person did not share that conflict of mind. Golden haired and red eyed, a young woman had just finished zipping her boot as the captain’s order came through. She was ready to go. She was donning leather armor, light enough to allow for free movement but heavy enough for adequate protection. At her side, her sword. At the other rested her satchel, which contained twelve Dust pommels for her sword - Fire, Earth, Ice, Wind, Energy, and Gravity - as well as three twelve round magazines for the 9mm strapped to her upper thigh. She was ready to go. Raising her arms to tie her hair back, the girl was startled by a knock on the lockers. Lifting her head, her red eyes met the gaze of a grinning young man with intense blue eyes. “If you don’t hustle, you’re gonna be late, Quel.” He teased, leaning against the lockers in an effort to look cool. She immediately scoffed in response, rolling her eyes as she returned her attention to the small mirror on her locker door. “If I’m late, I don’t fight.” She replied, finally fixing her hair up. “That’d be a bad thing for me and a good thing for them, so believe me, I’ve no intention of being late.”Taking a quick breath, Coquel turned her attention to the young man before walking up to him and placing a swift kiss on his cheek. “Be careful today, please. I know you’ll be up her and all that, but I still worry.” She said quietly. The two exchanged a quick hug before the boy nodded. “I’ll find a safe nook once I’m back on board the ship. You have my word.” She looped a black earpiece around her ear before the two parted ways. You had better be safe, Eli. You promised me, so I won't accept anything less.Crawling into the helicarrier, she exchanged reassuring glances with a few of the soldiers and other Hunters sitting near her. “Hope you’re ready, boys. I hear Eli is a little shaky behind the controls of a carrier.” She said sarcastically, grinning at the expressions she got back. With little warning, the carriers dropped from the bottom of the ship and made their way to the streets below. Some in Coquel’s carrier fainted, obviously overwhelmed by the moment. Once they were low enough, each of them took turns jumping off the carriers and began flooding the streets. She was immediately encountered by two members of the Royal Guard. Both were adequately skilled, keeping even ground with the young woman as she parried their attacks and visa versa. Eventually, she gained the upper hand, plunging her sword through the chest of the smaller man. He staggered for a time before dropping to his feet, then Coquel turned all her attention to the survivor. As he readied himself to fight, she smirked as she mirrored his stance. He was a brave warrior. That was something she could respect.
You may begin initiating battle with NPCs. I will write responses to all attacks initiated on NPCs of either side. Happy posting! Was totes listening to this while writing.

Haru was not surprised by the message he heard, he wasn’t going to run and hide in a house for now. Haru wanted peace, and his own kingdom was now waging war on another for speculations, putting hundreds, thousands of peoples lives on the line. Haru could only hope the innocents were inside and safe, not too be disturbed. Haru himself looked up and watched as ships dropped off their soldiers, a group right in front of Haru and the kid he had noticed before. The kid looked like he knew something about combat but Haru would protect him if he didn’t. Running as quick as he could he rushed past the kid charging the legion soldiers, his eyes lighting up, his vision was colored into a blue light before transferring into his hand, running his hand along his scythe blade on his back he pulled the blade around quickly as his semblance started up his scythes power.
There was no reason to hold back when it was war, if he did he could easily die which needed to be avoided. The group must have been split off as their numbers were rather small, only three soldiers, nothing special in their looks either. They looked like the most basic of the android soldiers with basic longswords, and one with a machine gun. Luckily they hadn’t taken much notice too Haru who took advantage forcing an ice blade out of his scythe as he grew nearer, hovering for a short second as he swung a wide arc too slash one of the android with his scythe. Just as he was bringing the scythe down on one of the longsword users the ice blade he had created earlier split in two and shot towards the gun user attempting to take off its head.

Aisio looked at the man as he approached, not giving much thought until he began standing next to her. Upon presenting his shield, Aisio reached hers up and rapped it against his, the gesture filling her with determination. She lit the blade of Excalibur, the fire arcing along it and searing across the shattered point. The order to deploy rang out, and the doors opened before them. She smiled at the man standing next to her, having to look up as she did so, and spoke. "That's my cue. I'll see you on the other side." And with that final comment, she leaped from the airship. Heights were not a trouble for her, the ability to fly made sure of that, and to accomplish her goal she needed to be one of the first ones out. When she jumped, she was likely about 100 feet above ground, and now she was in a full dive towards the ground. 60 feet, still not close enough, but Aisio saw the ships dropping around her. 40 feet, the rest of the units began getting ready to jump. 20 feet, Aisio activated her semblance, the fiery wings spreading out behind her and slowing her fall. 10 feet, the rest of the soldiers began jumping and Aisio banked upwards, soaring back to 20 feet and angling towards the royal district.
Her goal was not to fight the soldiers of Rift, her goal was quite simple. Detain the king as soon as possible, end this conflict with as little bloodshed as possible. She flew over the fight going on beneath her, and for a few minutes, nobody seemed to notice her. Then she heard a few calls of "up there" from below her, and found herself dodging bullets, arrows, and various other projectiles as she dipped and weaved through the air. She spun in the air, maintaining her momentum but changing her facing as she stared at the people firing at her. It seemed to be a group of six soldiers, four armed with assault rifles and the other two armed with compound bows, and all of them firing at her. She pulled her wings back and flapped, drawing upon the power of the ice crystal on her harness to create a wave of ice flying directly towards the group. The gust increased her speed towards her objective, and she turned and sped back towards it without even a second thought. Her objective was clear, and she wouldn't let anything stand in her way.

Ferr's smile grew the moment their shields met. This gesture was in some ways better than words before combat. The small-ish woman seemed to understand and have similar feelings to Ferr. Determination, hype, and eagerness for action. Prepared to make a remark, Ferr was nothing if not irritated that the orders to mobilize were given in the same breath. In the same moment, the warrior-woman left with a quick remark, leaving Ferr alone to his own preparations. "Stay alive!..." He cried out behind her, hoping his words would reach. A sigh escaped him as he looked on down the corridor. "'want to know your name at least." As the soldiers began to move, the ebony-maned man rushed to his vehicle in the cargo bay. He could see the snow coming down and covering the land beneath through an open hatch. This might service them will or hinder the attack. Could some resistance use the snow as cover? Or would it do more for Legion other than act as the cover they used during the approach?
Whatever the case, he had faith in the men and women around him. Not to mention the tech and command center. Upon reaching Slip, Ferr threw his goggles on and shouted "For Legion, Aesir, and glory!" Upon his command, the bay doors opened once the carrier was closer to the ground. Driving the three-wheeled vehicle of the ship, the suspension system managed to hold the vehicle together in one piece. Guns already began to go off, alarms were raised and resistance was coming in hot. Setting his sword to his side, Ferr opted to keep only his right hand on the wheel. Allowing his left, and in turn his shield, to hover just below his noise and line of sight. Should anyone would take shots at him, the shield would protect him.
As he drove past his comrades, Ferr thought the tracks his trike made in the snow would lead the troops. A funny idea that held no obvious value however. His smile would soon turn into a stern lip as he came face to face with a battle finishing up in front of him. A blond maiden, Coquel, was somewhat recognized as being in the Legion forces. She could handle herself well enough it seemed. But what if this other fighter got the better of her? She did already have to take one down. Ferr hesitated for a moment. He watched for a moment before a royal guard attempted to assault the man. With an ax in hand the man rushed at Ferr while he sat in his vehicle. The azure eyes of the would-be-victim fell upon the guard a moment before the ax came down. In a quick motion, Ferr lifted the shield to meet the ax-- grabbing his sword at the same time. Once he grabbed the blade, Ferr would bring it up and thrust it towards the guard's throat.

The balloon had finally popped and with it, the full force of Legion gushed forth like water rushing through a burst damn.
Dusty cursed as he drew back the bowstring on his bow. His left eye was scrunched up as his right eye stared down the shaft of the arrow, the glowing purple tip as almost like a sight for him to aim with. If only he knew where to even shoot. The Legion soldiers were pouring out from absolutely every possible crevice. There were too many to try and pick out just one, not to mention the giant mechs stomping around behind them. He cursed again. Clearly, Legion had no intentions of playing around. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched a boy around his age charge past towards a group of soldiers and attack them with his scythe and some sort of ice attack. Whether it was through his semblance or by using Dust, Dusty didn't know. Nor did he care, so long as the kid could handle himself for the time being.
Dusty finally settled his arrowhead on the leg join of one of the Guardians. His fingers released the bow string and the arrow shot forward, the Kinetic Dust enhancing its speed and power far more than a normal bowstring could manage. The young man quickly turned and dashed towards one of the buildings around him, nimbly climbing up to the roof. He tapped a few buttons on the screen on his wrist, filling two arrows with Water Dust and Energy Dust. He drew the Water arrow, aimed at the ground directly in front of a whole platoon of Legionnaires and fired. The blue-tipped arrow streaked through the air, though this time much slower, and hit the ground, causing a large wave of water to erupt in its place in the direction of the androids. In one smooth motion, Dusty drew the Energy arrow, notched it in place, and shot it right at the wave of water. It struck and burst, making the entire wave course with electricity as it began to break over the Legionnaires' heads.

Haru Luckily for the young Huntsman-to-be, his attack left the Legionnaires taken by surprise. As the arc of ice flew towards the group, the mechanized soldier opened fire at the ice, slowly breaking it down to pieces before it had any opportunity to split off into two. Unfortunately for them, this exhausted all the ammo in the android’s current magazine, and it quickly scrambled to reload their firearms. It was during this time that Haru lunged at one of the sword-wielding Legionnaires with a wide arc. Unlike his previous attack, which had failed, this attack met its target. Metal tore like paper as the scythe cleaved through the android. It staggered backwards for a moment before falling back, convulsing sporadically as its systems went offline. The other two turned their full attention to the boy, the gunner opening fire while the one with the sword engaged him up close. With a heavy swing of its sword, the Legionnaire attempted a powerful slash at Haru’s abdomen. Dusty Ghrian The arrow had, luckily, met its mark. It punched through the first layer of the Guardian’s armor, sticking deep into the joint with no intent of ever being shook loose. While the giant mech was able to move, it was with jerky movements as the behemoth’s systems tried to compensate for the damage. It was a good shot on Dusty’s part, but whether he would be capable of another debilitating shot was up for debate. The Legionnaires that had entered the fray targeted the boy immediately, opening fire with the full force of their assault rifles. They followed their target before he disappeared on the roof, the leader of the small squad directing the others to keep their heads up. The young man’s next attack was a great display of strategy. The water arrow burst before the Legionnaires, causing them to step back with surprise. Even without the followup arrow, the water was enough to do slight damage to the various systems that made the androids work. The leading Legionnaire’s camera system flickered out as the Energy Arrow made its way to the group, burst in the wave of water. The electricity pulsed through each of the machines, and one by one they dropped to their feet. [OOC: Actually super well done, Cam] Aisio Pendragon Run, you fool. Run! Cullen’s heart pounded as he rushed through the streets towards the Royal District. First things first was a stop at his home, which hid the original version of the Hound. It was bulkier than the weapon he had stolen from him, but it would do more than enough good in this situation. As he ran out, he immediately noticed a group of six soldiers firing at a woman descending from the sky. “Idiots...” He scoffed quietly. Though their attacks were relatively on their mark, the attack from the woman was superior to what they had thrown at her. Two of the men managed to duck out of the way of her attack, but the others were struck by the ice wave and collapsed on the street. At this time, Cullen couldn’t tell if they were dead or incapacitated, but there was no time to find out for sure. He remained hidden for a few minutes before running out to meet the two men that had survived the attack. One had a rifle, the other had a bow. “Get ready, boys! The fun is just getting started!” He shouted, keeping his eyes on the woman as the three began to pursue her through the city. Ferr Aesir The soldier attacking Ferr had done so with little in the way of preparation. With a deep shout, the man ran at Ferr with an ax, intent on plunging the steel into the back of the young man’s head. Instead of doing so, however, the weapon was met by the Hunter’s shield instead. In what felt like only a few seconds, a sword was thrust into the man’s throat. His eyes widened with surprise, gurgling slightly as he struggled for breath. There was nothing. As his last breath escaped his lips, the man’s entire world went dark. Not far from there, a handful of guards caught sight of Ferr, and immediately began opening fire on the young man.If they could do anything in the limited amount of time they had left, then they would avenge their fallen brother. Ceyla Regenwald Meanwhile, Coquel and the guard stared one another down, both in position to strike or counter. At this point, it was only a matter of who would make the first move. Overcome with anxiety, it would be the guard that initiated combat between the two of them. Running at the fair-haired woman, he readied himself to deliver a powerful slash to her abdomen. Still in position, Coquel watched for a time as she readied herself to guard his attack. She carefully watched his footsteps, zoning in on the sound of his feet on the stones beneath them as he drew closer and closer. Now.In one quick, seemingly lightning-fast motion, Coquel clipped a Gravity Dust pommel onto her sword and, with a mighty swing of her weapon, sent a powerful wave of gravitational energy flying at the man. She dashed after the wave, switching the pommel for one colored Red. The man slammed against a wall, dropping to his knees before staggering up to his feet. He had lost sight of the woman in all the chaos but had little time to regain his bearings before she was upon him. That moment felt like a lifetime, his eyes finding the opportunity to fix onto hers as a swing from Daedalus, superheated by the Fire Dust, cleaved him in two. This did not kill the man, however, as his wounds were instantly cauterized. He attempted to scramble away, crawling on his elbows as Coquel watched him pitifully. Walking towards him slowly, Coquel placed a foot on the back of his shoulders to keep him from moving. The man released a muffled cry. It was fear. As he whimpered, she tilted her head, almost as if she were curious. “Are you afraid?” She inquired. The man frantically nodded his head, closing his eyes tight as he fought every urge to look up to the woman. Those eyes, however, would never open. A loud, single gunshot echoed through the immediate area before being drowned out by the sounds of battle. Coquel slipped her pistol into its holster before turning her attention to the rest of the fighting, walking away from the young guard’s lifeless body. Her eyes fixed on the young Hunter known as Ferr, contemplating whether to assist him against the small squad that had engaged him or to head deeper into the city. Aisio barely managed to get eyes on the three people chasing her. Two of them were from the squad firing at her before, but the third one was a newcomer, and one who looked quite dangerous. Luckily for her, the royal house was not far away, a minute at most from her current position. She pushed herself as fast as she could go, trying to maintain something between her and her pursuers at all times, as she came to the gates of her objective. Landing just outside the door to the house, she turned to face her pursuers. Raising the blade of Excalibur to point at the group, her crimson aura flared and wrapped around the blade. She sought to only restore the blade, not increase its natural power, but it would assuredly be intimidating nonetheless. The crimson glow wrapped around the broken point, expanding into the full five foot greatsword the blade was meant to be. The flames arced happily across the new addition, crackling excitedly as they became whole again. Her aura flickered like flames around her, embers floating off it and her crimson eyes flaming with sheer determination. She tucked her wings in behind her, taking on the look of a fiery angel of vengeance as she spoke. "I am Aisio Pendragon, wielder of the legendary sword Excalibur and inheritor of the Wings of Icarus. My quarrel is with your king, surrender now or I will be forced to cut you down." With that, she pulled Excaibur slightly down into a fighting stance, her round shield lifting to be presented to the group before her. She would wait for their answer before striking them down, but if they displayed aggressive movement or declined her mercy she would create a blast of wind from that shield in an attempt to earn the upper hand.

Dusty grinned as his electrified wave of water washed over a few of the Legionnaires, but it was gone as quickly as it had come. The ones he destroyed were quickly replaced by more and there were even more behind them, not to mention the Guardians, human soldiers, and Hunters with them. He needed a new plan. Trying to stop them by destroying or incapacitating them wasn't going to work in the long run. He only had so many arrows and his Aura would give out eventually. He needed to try and contain the flow of Legion soldiers. Get them all in one area, then have some giant attack take them all out in one stroke. He ducked behind the roof of the building he was on and wiped his glasses clear of frost again. He sucked in a deep breath and exhaled slowly, his mind racing to think of a plan. He took one more peek out from behind the roof to get a look around, mumbling and nodding to himself. Maybe...
Dusty tapped away at the screen on his wrist again, setting the next sixteen arrows to be filled with Earth Dust. He drew the first arrow, took one more deep breath, and left his hiding position. He ran towards the edge of the roof towards the building across the road and leapt as high and far as he could, shooting the arrow down into the road between the buildings. A wall of stone even in height with the buildings and four feet thick shot up from the ground, blocking the road between the two. He landed on the wall and kept running until he reached the next one. He repeated the process again, then a third time, all the while sliding, jumping, and flipping out of the way of gun fire from the soldiers below. Upong reaching the fourth building, he turned and ran along the length of the army, walling off the roads to its right for five blocks. Five more arrows, five more walls of stone. He turned again upon reaching the last building and ran along the back of the army, walling off another three blocks, before making one final turn and blocking the roads to the left of the army. All sixteen arrows gone, as well as a good chunk of his energy.
Dusty reached the building where he had started and ducked back behind the roof again. He took several deep, steady breaths as he recovered, daring to take a peek as he did. The area Legion's army was in was completely sealed and hopefully, they wouldn't be able to continue their march forward.

Haru was surprised by the soldiers, seeing their attention quickly focus to his ice was abnormal among his enemies, usually targeting him instead of his ice, but it was the smarter thing too do as the gunner was much more effective than the sword wielder he managed to destroy with a clean swipe. However ow he was forced on the defensive as his plan had not gone completely as he wanted. Haru was not exactly the type of fighter who fought groups, he was much more capable against a single opponent, but two was not bad.
As the two enemies engaged him he knew the only issue would be the gunner, a slash from the swordsman was readable. Haru knew he didn’t have the time to waste on the two soldiers in front of him and needed to get to the bigger fights to help more against legion. Focusing Haru activated wind sprint increasing his speed greatly, as well as his reactions. Quickly jumping to the side of the slash from the android he had now placed the swordsman in between Haru and the gunner. Hoping the gunner would shoot the android but not counting on it, Haru charged the first Swordsmen with a speed no where close to his previous attack. Another slash from above his shoulder down diagonally to the left as he hoped to split the android in half, not caring whether it was blocked or not he continued his momentum into a lunge as the scythe came back around he swung it waist height in a large circle to cut the gunner in half. The couple of moves preformed took less then 15 seconds with Haru’s enhanced speed hoping to end the fight quickly.

Three bullets managed to cut through Ferr's unprepared defense along with his clothes and flesh. Far off from any organ, the shots brushed his skin while cutting him at the same time. His shield was thrown upward as the bullets began to barrage the ice-colored shield. Slower than only an instant, Ferr jumped from his position in the seat. During this transition, his legs were exposed for two seconds before Ferr crouched to the opposite side of the vehicle. With a knee on the ground, a feeling of safety took hold for a short breath before his eyes-brows furrowed. Concentration was his ally in this moment. How many guards were there? Was it all of them with firearms or just some of them? What is the distance between them? All good questions that would get him out alive. Keeping the shield raised, Ferr peeked around the side of his trike-car. Eyes falling on the targets; he counted a small group, Having bullets fired at him prevented a solid number from being reached. He reeled back behind cover before sighing, "Fuck it."
Before the man rolled out of cover on the now ungraceful snow, he thought it would be a good time to use a gun. Since he did not have any firearms in his arsenal, Ferr relied on the oldest method of ranged combat. Charging. In one fluid motion, Ferr left the safety of his cover and dashed towards the guards. He kept his body low and back arched; providing protection to a majority of his body thanks to his shield. As Ferr drew closer, he triggered Svalinn and used an Ice crystal on the shield to expand it's protective diameter two feet outward. As bullets became lodged in the ice, the Hunter pulled his sword back and activated the wind dust within. Air began to pour out from the blade. With a powerful swing, Ferr assaulted the guards once he was a few feet away from them. The warrior would follow up with a second swing, following the path of the first. Knowing that if this attack did not kill the guards, he would be forced to craft a dome around himself using more ice dust.
