PLAYED BY ShadowBright Twenty Four (24) October 18 | Female Huntress Human | |
Aisio Pendragon |
★ APPEARANCE
Aisio (pronounced AY-see-o) is small in stature, 5’2 and 100 pounds she does not strike that imposing of a figure. She has the trademark glowing eyes of the Pendragon family, with hers glowing a striking crimson. Her hair is cut short and straight, barely touching her shoulders. The scarlet locks shimmer in firelight, seeming to glow with the fire’s light itself. She wears a long black trench coat over her deep red leather armor. The ornate scabbard of Excalibur rests on her back, with the golden hilt of the broken blade the only part visible without it drawn.
★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
The Pendragon name, once known and praised throughout Remnant, has become little more than the dust it came from. What used to be a noble house has fallen to the last surviving member of the family, Aisio. It wasn’t always like this, in fact the house fell within Aisio’s lifetime, and many others likely remember their old glory. The family almost fell when humanity was forced into the mountains, but still the Pendragons persevered. However, when her older brother and father died to a surprise attack from a pack of Bhargests, Aisio was left to claim the legacy of her family, and hope it would not end with her.
The Pendragons have two things that have been passed down for as long as they can remember, the Wings of Icarus semblance and the greatsword Excalibur. Excalibur once had a companion, Caliburn, though it was lost long ago. Aisio inherited the Wings of Icarus, but Excalibur only ever goes to firstborns, at least until her older brother Leo fell in battle with no heir. The sword had already been worn by time, two of the three dust crystals within it shattering and preventing them from being replaced. The final blow it took was too much, and the blade shattered, splitting in half.
Aisio finished off the rest of the Barghests, claiming the broken blade as the last surviving Pendragon. Now she is known as the Broken Warrior, hailing from a broken family and wielding a broken weapon, nobody expected her to survive very long. But against all odds, she did, utilizing the power of Excalibur and the Wings of Icarus to beat the odds and keep the Pendragon name alive. Of course, that can only last so long, and without an heir the Pendragon name will fade from history, becoming nothing more than ashes in Remnant’s history. Aisio blames herself for the loss of her brother and father, and strives to keep their legacy going, to make sure they didn’t die in vain, and to make sure that humanity is protected from the creatures that seek its destruction.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Aisio wields two weapons, Excalibur, the Broken Blade and Flamelash. Excalibur was originally a five foot long greatsword, part of a set of weapons built for a king. Now, it is nothing more than a longsword three feet in length with a jagged point indicative of the shattered nature of the blade. The blade is a faded red, originally forged with fire crystals thrown into the molten metal. As such, the blade can light aflame without spending any aura points. However, the flame is limited to encasing the weapon and can not be used in any other way. Imbedded into the hilt is the last surviving crystal, the green wind one. With it Aisio can cleave through the air itself, creating an instantly filled vacuum that creates a gust of wind for two aura points.
Flamelash was Aisio’s weapon before she took up the broken blade, and it was designed in honor of Excalibur’s old companion, Caliburn. Flamelash is a golden revolver with a dust crystal encased in glass where the rotating chamber would be. Normally, this crystal is fire, but can theoretically be replaced with any color, though the only other one she carries is electric. Flamelash activates the dust within it when the trigger is pulled, shooting a dart of whatever element is loaded into the chamber-usually fire-out of the barrel of the gun. This dart has a range of about 55 feet before it starts to dissipate.
With the flick of a switch, Flamelash transforms from a revolver to the handle of a whip. The actual whip is formed by the dust loaded into the chamber of Flamelash, creating an elemental whip ten feet in length. Flamelash still has its trigger while in this form, and pulling it will send a burst of elemental power into the whip. This can either emit a burst, pulse, or blast of the appropriate element, or it can double the length of the whip for a few seconds. Each crystal of Flamelash is tailor made for the weapon, and as such Aisio can’t simply grab a random dust crystal and slot it into the weapon. Every crystal chamber has twenty uses, with each pull of the trigger and each minute in whip form expending one use. Aisio carries with her two spare fire chambers, an additional one loaded into Flamelash, and one lightning chamber.
MISC.
Aisio also carries with her the shield she used with Flamelash, now using it with both Excalibur and Flamelash. The shield is a medium size round shield with green crystals inlaid throughout the shield. This allows it to emit blasts of wind, which she uses to disorient foes after blocking an attack as well as propel her through the air at increased speeds. Each use of the dust with the shield takes one aura point. She also carries with her a fire crystal and ice crystal to use with her semblance. Each of these can be activated five times before needing to be replaced and are placed in a harness over her armor, but under her trench coat.
Aisio’s striking crimson aura gives off a feeling of sheer drive. While active her aura crackles like a flame, never wavering and never giving up, just like her. Aisio utilizes the aura abilities Offensive Enhancement and Illumination, and instead of learning new abilities she specialized in those two, and her semblance. Her offensive enhancement takes anywhere from three to seven aura points, giving increasing effects the more she spends. At its highest level, she can restore the broken part of Excalibur with a blade made of her aura and spreading the flames onto it for one minute. At this strength, the power of the actual blade increases as well, granting her far more destructive power. Her illumination is far weaker, taking one aura point and glowing like a campfire for five minutes upon use.
Wings of Icarus
Aisio possesses the legendary semblance of the Pendragon family, the Wings of Icarus. This semblance allows her to manifest glowing wings made from her aura to grant her “unmitigated” flight. Her wings glow a bright crimson and crackle like flames, giving off its own waves of heat. While the wings are active, the general feel of her aura is magnified and spreads over a much larger area, inspiring everyone nearby with a great deal of drive. To activate her semblance takes 50 aura points, but once spent her semblance stays active until it expires.
The time limit for the wings starts at fifteen minutes, but can decrease as she uses it. For the first three yards off the ground she gets nothing happens, however for every yard beyond that Aisio loses one minute on the duration. Once it runs out, Aisio can’t use her semblance again for another thirty seconds. Along with that, the wings are quite physical, feeling pain and impacting objects in the same way a normal limb would. This makes Aisio a much larger target than normal while using the wings, and striking a wing while she is in the air could very well send her spiraling into the ground.
Aisio can use dust to create “wing gusts”. These wing gusts are elemental bursts that come out of her wings in anything from two focused lines to a semi-circle burst. She carries with her ice, which can send out a freezing wave or a jet of icicles, and fire, which can emit a fiery pulse or beams of flame. Utilizing her semblance in this way uses three aura points while also using a minute on the duration of her semblance. This forces her to be very conservative with how high she flies, how many wing gusts she makes, and how long she fights. In theory she can use any crystal dust with her semblance, but she hasn’t tried more than fire and ice.
