Gild laughed again, waving in kind. "Well, now that I've got my Glemmy back, I've got a hunt to get to. Don't worry, I won't be launching her at any flyers this time." With a final laugh, Gild walked off, ruffling his messy blond hair as he walked and still laughing for some unknowable reason.
Argent, on the other hand, sighed, visibly exhausted and a bit irritable. "Seems like we're done here, then." With that, he leaned and shrugged his shoulders back, aiming to remove Ciela from his shoulders. He significantly hoped she didn't intend to make a habit of this.

Ciela waved him off. "Bye Gild!" She called after him, leaving her off-guard when Argent shifted back. With a tiny yelp she tumbled backward, and she tried to pull into a full backflip and land on her feet. She overcompensated, however, and wound up landing square on her tiny rear, harder than she was expecting. The jolt ran up her spine and made her cringe, but it was barely a second before she was on her feet, with the help of a half-second burn from her pack.
"Hey! At least warn me before you try and dump me off like that!" She stomped, taking a second to dust off her dress before returning to glaring at Argent. It was clear that she was really, really trying to be scary... but she knew, deep down inside, that no one below five feet even on a good day can be scary. It's just not how the world works.

"Y' didn't warn me before y' plopped on up there, I just returned the favor." Argent scoffed a bit, still rather irritable. Dusting off his shoulders, he watched as Gild headed off before turning towards the town. He had no intention of hanging around now that his job was done, and he was tired. He just wanted food, a bath, and to get some sleep.
"I guess I'll see you whenever they assign us a dorm room." Argent waved half-heartedly as he walked away, before fiddling with his tail to get it back in place. It was almost a given that, as soon as he got home, Aksha would insist on a play-by-play over dinner, so Argent had to quickly run through the details in his head to make sure he had everything right.

Ciela scowled at Argent's retreating back, briefly making a face at him. And then she reminded herself that it was better to not be mad at him; better or worse they were partners now and she needed to at least try to be his friend. If he wasn't going to make strides to be... not a dick, then she had to pick up the slack herself. She had a dorm room to decorate, and she intended to recruit the tallest person she knew to help her out. She had posters that needed to go up, sheets that needed to be arranged, tools that needed to be lugged in, probably entirely more clothing than was really necessary... She skipped off, humming a cheerful tune. This was gonna be fun, whether or not he liked it.
