Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
"So if nobody else has a question, we'll end the class here for today. Remember, we'll be having a test about this tomorrow," The teacher tapped her hand against the whiteboard, "Dismissed." As soon as she spoke of this, the sound of a bell signalling the end of the day echoed through the classroom. Hearing this, Raven picked up his bag and headed on out without a second thought. Today had felt surprisingly longer than usual, especially the classes. He never thought he'd be able to hear the end to the lectures of his instructors, but here he was, out in the open. However, even if he managed to make it back to his dorms, he still needed to study for the upcoming test. The thought of it just made him exhausted. By no means did he consider himself all that bad in the head, in fact, he even managed to come out on top of his classes once. Letting all the strength on his legs leave him, Raven sat himself down on a cusion of grass beneath him and unzipped the bag to reveal the contents inside. He'd managed to packed a few Schnee Energy Bars as a snack earlier in the morning for his usual afternoon physical exercise, but the mute's eyes widened when dug through the bag that was 'supposedly' his. None of the objects in it were familiar to him. After letting out a frustrated grunt, the boy took out of the notes inside, hoping that he'd be able to find the owner's name, but when he looked through, the language that was written in the paper... was rather peculiar. Perhaps one could call it 'tribal' as it wasn't used anywhere. When he saw the name, the answer behind this mystery became clear to him. Lily Wilde. She was a student here, obviously, but what made her stand out than most was her background. She wasn't from any of the four kingdoms, but the rumors which swirled around her told him that she was from the wilds. The no man's land, which was known to teem with Grimm and strange wild life - as well as the old kingdoms' ruins. When he heard of this, it surprised him that people actually lived outside the safety of the kingdoms. Sure, most of them were small-time tribes and villages, but it amazed him how they'd managed to live with the threat of the Grimm lingering about. Raven rose to his feet, and upon slinging the bag over on his shoulder, he headed back into the school to look for this so-called 'Lily Wilde'. He remembered her; after all, she was his classmate. Though they never 'talked', the boy knew her by face - as well as by name, but she wasn't in the campus itself, so he took his search outside into the academy courtyard. However, amongst the crowd of student, her presence among them stuck out like a sore thumb. With a plain-looking black dress, and a matching hair to go with it. Not to mention the fact that she was a faunus - so she was pretty easy to spot. Faunus by no means were rare species, but their distinct characteristics, especially their ears made them easy to detect. In addition, they had the same bagpacks. Without being able to speak, however, Raven knew that he had little ways of getting her attention. He wasn't sure how she'd react to a tap to a shoulder, so he felt rather unprepared. Given her background, a lot of the students didn't like her simply for the fact that the girl was 'different' compared to them. Hell, he even heard some of them calling her a 'freak of nature' in the hallways. It made the mute feel a little sorry for her. <Well, here goes nothin',> The boy told himself as he walked up to the girl. When she was in his arm's reach, he made an effort of tapping Lily over on her shoulder gently with his non-mechanical hand in hopes of getting her attention. Her skin was surprisingly smooth to the touch. Raven expected it to be a lot... rougher, but nonetheless, this was the only way to get her attention. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily had finished class a little later than the rest of the people attending, as she usually did. She took amazing notes, going over each and every thing that the teacher covered. She would occasionally enter her semblance state to elaborate on an idea that she felt required additional attention. This allowed her to write incredibly fast for brief periods of time. She never entered her semblance's full state, as that would be incredibly dangerous to do sitting completely still in a classroom. For this reason, she usually sat in the back of the room where her constant entering of her semblance state wouldn't draw attention away from anyone but the teacher. Satisfied with her work, she reached for her bag, only to find it was not where she had left it Somehow she had missed it getting moved, and it was near an adjacent seat instead of her own. She frowned, she felt like she would have noticed if someone had moved it. When she grabbed the pack, something else was off. The weight wasn't quite right. She brought it up to her nose, and neither was the smell. It didn't smell like her at all. She frowned as she opened up the pack. The contents were all wrong. Gone was her dress, gone were her notes, and gone was Mr. Fuzzlestiltskin. She frowned deeply, and bolted out of the classroom. She ran around for a while, but never managed to find the owner of her own bag. She stood for a moment, defeated, in front of a soup shop, when she felt an arm reach out and touch her shoulder, she jumped almost to the top of the first story, and clung to the sign. Who was this guy? He just randomly touched her out of nowhere and didn't even bother saying anything to announce his presence. She cautiously dropped down from the sign, the bag slung over her shoulder as she took up a defensive stance. "What do you want?" She asked, recognizing the male student from her class. She was, in a word, unsure. There had been several students who had deemed it acceptable to act violently towards her after the pigeon eating stunt the previous week, and she had not interacted with this student at all. It was not impossible that he would be another bully. The bullies up until now weren't anything too special, but she was always especially on guard when dealing with a new opponent. She sat the pack down behind her. She would have to focus on finding it's proper owner later, for now she needed to make sure of this student's intentions.
She was tense, but doing her best not to show any outward aggression. Her claws were still retracted, her gaze was as neutral as she could keep it under the circumstances. She waited for an answer of some kind. Her breathing was steady, her eyes scanned each detail of the boy. Unfortunately, she was at an angle where she could only see the straps on the backpack that he held, and had no idea that he was actually the one who'd mistakenly grabbed her identical pack.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
As he'd initially expected, the girl's reaction was not something that he was able to predict, nor was it something that he'd expected out of a normal person. She was quick, much quicker than he'd initially calculated. If he'd blinked, he might've missed her jumping up onto of a sign like some frightened kitten. Well - the funny thing was, she WAS a cat, in a sense. He didn't particularly mind, but... the only thing he'd minded was the bag that she had over on her shoulders was his. It wasn't like he could tell her to get down here and give it back, so he attempted to reach for his scroll in his bag - only to realize that the only way of communication that he had with others was in Lily's possession a little too late, or more specifically, in his real bagpack. "What do you want?" She asked. What did he want? He came all the way out here so that they could trade their respective bags, and she asked him what he wanted? Raven felt slightly offput by the girl's behavior. It wasn't like he was here to be a bully or anything, nor did he try to give off any signs that he was here to do anything particularly malicious to the faunus, unlike some of the students around here. The boy did his best to stay calm as much as he could, but little by little, he felt frustrations growing within him. Unable to communicate, let alone express what his intentions were. His teacher, Calypso taught him how to deal with that, but in this situation, it didn't help as much as he'd expected. Take deep breaths Raven, deep breaths... but he felt something snapping within him when the girl took off her bag and set it down on a place that he had no hopes of possibly reaching. Oh that's it. <"God damn it, that's MY bag you have there! Can't you see that this is yours?!"> Letting out a frustrated grunt, the mute unslung the bag he had over on his shoulder and waved it in front of him before angrily throwing it down in front of him. He then pointed at her, and back down on the ground, hoping that she'd get the message he was trying to convey was loud and clear for her. Even a faunus, coming from a tribal background would have no trouble understanding him. There really ought to be no form of misunderstandings between them, right? They can talk it out, civilly. That's what Raven had hoped for. Well - not that he could really talk, but hey, a guy could hope. The mute then crossed both of his arms over his chest. Though it's been no more than a few seconds, a look of impatience on his face was clear. He wanted his bag back, no matter what. The students around them whispered amongst themselves, some of them even going as far as getting out of the area. Raven was known for his... explosive temper and a weapon to go with it amongst his classmates. His combat training scores proved that he was a ferocious opponent. Almost nobody in the school dared to anger the hot-headed brunette, especially when he was feeling this impatient. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily was absolutely livid. She rushed forward and knelt to check her bag. Sure, she could have used her semblance to grab it out of the air before it landed, but she was frankly stunned by the explosive nature of Raven't outburst. She opened the pack up and rummaged through the contents. Her favorite dress was fine, ripped in all the same places with no new additions. Her notes were slightly out of order, but not disastrously so. However, a few tears came to her eyes when she saw the state of Mr. Flufflestiltskin. He was the stuffed kitty that one of her saviors had purchased for her as they passed Setek on the way to Vytal. It was the first material possession that she'd ever owned, and it was a gift from someone who meant the world to her. The hairs on her ears bristled and she stood up with fury in her eyes. Her claws extended without her thinking about it. She only just kept herself from fighting the opposing student then and there.
"You and me. Training Field." She growled as she collected her things. "I'm going to teach you a thing or two about respecting the property of others." She said as she gestured to his bag, leaning against the wall neatly. There were a few tears in her eyes, whether from anger, or from remorse that her stuffed companion had been desecrated, it was unclear. As she rushed off towards the training center, she gritted her teeth. She supposed she was long over due for learning how to sew. It was something her parents had always done for her, but both of her dresses, and now her gift were all torn and tattered. She found it likely that they would have at least one book on sewing.
She could have taken the other boy's backpack with her, to provide some sort of collateral, but she wasn't heartless. She wasn't going to force him into coming. She was pissed, but she wasn't the type of person who would act that way towards a stranger. The boy was free to just leave her alone if he so chose, but she hoped that he would at least come. She darted quickly through the streets. Sprinting for her was incredibly fast. Nobody but a hunter could even dream of catching her when she ran like that, and even some hunters who'd put no emphasis on developing their speeds would be left in the dust. She was the first to the training field, and so she waited. She passed the time in a meditative pose that her father had taught her. It was supposed to help control anger and instill peace inside of her, but she was having trouble focusing on it properly.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
Getting the message he was attempting to convey since the second he'd met her, the faunus girl climbed down from where she sat in order to collect her belongings. However, she seemed tad bit upset over what he'd done, especially to that strange stuffed toy that he'd somehow managed to brutalize from his own fit of anger. This, in turn, caused a few droplets of tears to form within her eyes, causing the young hunter to freeze for a moment as she'd set his bagpack down next to her. He swore to himself he saw this kind of scenery a long time ago when he was no more than just a child. The thought of it simply stung his consciousness. "You and me. Training field." She declared, causing a few students around them to whisper among themselves. Some of them were expecting a fight between them, which was not quite far from the truth. Many typical brawls and disputes were conducted on those grounds, because 'spars' were encouraged so as long as no serious injuries occurred. "I'm going to teach you a thing or two about respecting the property of others."
She then left. Leaving him, and his bag behind. Raven wondered after what he'd done why she didn't take his bag with her. She could've easily escalated this overall situation, but instead, she indirectly gave him a choice to whether accept this fight, or just walk it off, as he'd usually done. However, the boy had a feeling that if he turned his back from this, and walked away without giving a single explanation, or an apology for his action, he'd regret it forever; though quite frankly, he was no good at either of those. Scratching the back of his head in frustration, Raven picked up his bag and slung it over on his shoulder before heading towards the direction of the training grounds where his challenger awaited for him in a lone arena devoid of any spectators. It was a good spot too. The battlefield was an open ground without any cover for the either side, and because of this, the two fighters could easily engage in one another in a straight-up bout with little distractions. The hunter had little idea as to why Lily had chosen this particular spot in order to settle this dispute, but not a single complaint left him. After all, he couldn't talk. Setting his down the bag beside him, Raven put both of his hands in his pockets, and watched Lily who seemed to be in middle of a meditation with his golden eyes. There were many ways for a hunter to channel the throughout his or her body. In a way, one could easily see this as a light warm-up exercise to stretch their muscles before the big game. Meditation was but one of them. There were no guarantees that the girl wouldn't start attacking him right off the bat the moment he showed up like this, so he began to perform his own breathing techniques to help his soul channel his own aura throughout his body as he walked up to her. Despite what Lily might expect, Raven showed no signs of hostilities. Instead he started writing - rather, typing a few letters into his scroll before flashing the tiny screen in front of her face. "Look, I'm really sorry for that outburst earlier. I sorta came here to apologize about what I did, since... I feel bad about what I did to your stuffed animal." After making sure she'd read this, he erased the texts before repeating the same process, "I know this doesn't exactly excuse me from what I've done, but I can't exactly talk - let alone express my thoughts. In turn, I get pretty damn pissed about it if I can't express myself by typing out a message using a scroll or with a sign language, hope you understand." MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily's eyes were Steely cold when she first opened them to view Raven't appearance. She sat there in place, watching him. Her aura was still radiating off of her. A result of her meditating. The white light radiated off of her creating a stark contrast between her dark features. She rose slowly, but with the lazy grace of a cat. Raven had almost instantly begun typing when he arrived, which she found odd. When he turned his scroll around so that she could see, she took a few steps closer and read the text. Her face softened slightly, but there was still a hard edge to it.
"You know, I was pissed to. What did I do though? I sat your bag down, you threw mine to the ground in a fit of rage. That's what this fight is about. I wanted so badly to tear you to shreds on the spot." she said her claws coming out again. She took a deep breath, and retracted them. "Look, this is happening. You could have walked away, but I'm glad that you came. Like I said, I'm really, really pissed myself. I can't fight you in an area where the school wouldn't sanction it, but I was super close to fighting you back in the courtyard. This is the only way that I can work that energy off in a private setting."
She looked around. For the most part, they were alone here. However, a few students from the courtyard had begun trickling in after Lily's declaration of hostility. Some were excitedly tapping away at their scrolls, most likely in the process of summoning more students to the spectacle. She gestured to those students with her eyes and said "We're going to be drawing a crowd soon." As she said so, she began stretching. "I mean, we can wait for them for all I care. I'll teach you a thing or two no matter how large the Audience. The one thing that remains constant is that I am definitely going to fight you here. I don't know much about being unable to speak, or how hard that is, but you didn't need to behave the way you did. I'll fix Mr. Flufflestiltskin once I learn how to, but that's not the point. You damaged a precious gift from the person who saved my life, you did so when all you needed to do in order to get the message across was flash my backpack. Not to mention the fact that you were the one who walked off with my backpack in the first place! What's my reward for trying to track you down? A broken memory and an incredible sense of rage."
Her eyes hardened and she took a few steps back. She didn't have any paper on hand, as she did for her bout with Aegle, so instead she uprooted a small clump of dirt from the field and tossed it high into the air.
"The fight will start when this hits the ground. Prepare yourself."

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
Lily's obvious rage towards him was understandable, as well as justified. Like she'd said, with the rules that the Vytal academy had set up, there was no clear way for her to fight him unless the two somehow agreed to a spar in the training grounds. Techincally, this wasn't a fight. According to the laws that the headmaster had laid down, it was actually the other way around. He could've easily walked away from this, and he could've done so as he'd typed away at his message, but Raven didn't move a single inch from where he stood. Instead, the boy stared down at her with his golden eyes, narrowing them slightly as a large body of students who saw their bicker gathering towards the outskirts of the arena. The hunter knew that at this point, the talk was over long before he'd got here. She was no longer willing to negotiate any peaceful closure between them, so Raven put away the scroll into his pocket. Though fighting this one out wasn't the most favorable of ideas that he had in his mind, but if this was the only way to get her to quell the aggression that she was putting up against him, he wasn't going to back down either. Clovis' never backed down from a battle if they were presented with one. "We're going to be drawing a crowd soon." she began, "I mean, we can wait for them for all I care. Not to mention the fact that you were the one who walked off with my backpack in the first place! What's my reward for trying to track you down? A broken memory and an incredible sense of rage."<"... Really? You were the one who walked off with mine in the first place. If this is how it's going to be, then don't cry afterwards. You'll make me feel even more bad."> As the girl stepped a few feet backwards away from him, Raven did the same and cracked the back of his neck. He then hopped in place a few times to get an overall feel for the ground that he was on. Then, as soon as he took a typical high guard position to protect his head, the silver bracelet on his left wrist 'Hound' roared to life, causing series of interlocking plates to surround his entire forearm as well as his fingers. However, his prosthetic left arm, was yet to show its true nature. The girl then picked up a small clump of dirt, and threw it high up into the air. "The fight will start when this hits the ground. Prepare yourself."The seconds felt like minutes, minutes felt like hours. Raven felt his heart beating faster each moment that it passed, and dug his left leg. He never crossed his fists against Lily before - let alone any Faunus, but he managed to get only a few small glimpses as to how she had dealt with her opponents during combat classes. However, much like that of Faunus nature she possessed, it was somewhat rough and unpolished, but feral, which reflected the background that swirled around the girl very well. Of all things, one thing was certain: She was fast. Much faster than he could possibly be. He couldn't show any openings. Plop. Raven made the first move. Unlike his usual, rush-in and beat his opponents down senselessly tactic, the boy decided to make a retreat backwards, provided by the fact that Lily was much faster, and this was an open ground, she easily had an access to the openings of his guard. For that, the hunter quickly hopped back and fired off a shockwave from his gauntlet in his opponent's direction, deliberately missing so that it'd be able to make a some sort of pseudo-smoke screen to cover his escape - if not, at least distract her long enough for him to be in a much more ideal position. Thereafter, using the recoil provided by his weapon, he made sure he'd fly backwards to a nearby wall so that the only way she could only possibly come at him was if she entered his line of sight. Upon letting his back meet against the wall, he waited and took up a defensive stance with his eyes on the dense smoke screen that he'd created. The moment the cloud of dust was disrupted, he'd make sure he would have a counter ready of his own. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily ignored the boys retort prior to the fight. She knew that she was one of the last people out of the class, and this boy wasn't present when she'd left. She chose instead to focus on the battle at hand. When the fight began, and the field became shrouded in dust, she reacted calmly. When the cloud rose up, the very first thing she did was enter it. It may have obscured her vision of her opponent but it also obscured his vision of her. A mistake that could prove fatal.
She moved about the smoke, using her superior sense of hearing to gauge roughly where her opponent was moving. He was hardly equipped to move around silently, whereas Lily was able to near-silently pad through the smoke, her bare feet making almost nothing in the way of noise.
When she was sure of his position, and he seemed to be unmoving, she extended her claws. She had not used them in her battle against Aegle, but this was no friend she was fighting. This was a boy who needed to learn a little bit of respect. Plus, he was employing a weapon against her, so it seemed only fair. She began sprinting at him, full speed, and activated her semblance. The world slowed down, and she found herself bursting out of the smoke and running directly at her opponent at her full mach two.
When he came into view, she spent the entire sprint toward him looking for the optimal point of attack. As she drew near, she lowered he center of gravity as much as she could while maintaing her sprint.
She jumped at the last second, her claws glowing white infused with the strength of her Aura, she aimed to rake across his shoulder as she rebounded off of the Wall. As soon as her feet touched the wall, her semblance faded. She could see the boy below her, and the white streak of her Aura's afterglow. trailing out of the smoke. The world came rushing back to her with a thunderous roar as sound caught up with her and the smoke distorted violently, finally catching up with the faunus sized bullet that had just thundered through it. The wall cracked under the weight of her momentum, and she sprang off of it, landing harmlessly several feet in front of the boy. Her arms crossed over her chest, and her claws extended like blades from her fingers.
She studied the boy, to see if her blow had found purchase in his shoulder. She wasn't aiming for lethal blows, she just wanted to force him into a submission by throwing the full weight of her skill at him from the start. Should things get truly desperate, she may need to engage him in closer quarters in order to set up a more effective semblance attack.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
As he'd initially predicted, the dust cloud became disrupted as a result and she came right at him for a full frontal rush, but she was fast. Very fast. Perhaps much faster than he'd previously calculated. This actually surprised him to a point that he startled a little. Seeing it from the stages, and actually seeing it was a totally different experience altogether. However, he couldn't panic. He couldn't afford himself to end up in such position. At that moment, the boy's mind raced, attempting to foresee her point of entry into his guard. With the kind of speed she'd employed against him, he knew that he could be hard pressed on being able to actually land a hit on her. Raven never had to employ his semblance into the battle, but he had a feeling that in this battle, this girl just might force him. The thought of it caused a small smile to crease across his features, but it quickly faded when the boy's eyes caught her jumping at the very last second. <'Shit, from above?!'>The hunter shifted his body to his right, but it was all too late when he felt the claws scraping against his shoulder. Raven let out a small hiss of pain and pointed his gauntlet backwards, launching a shockwave once again in order to propel himself towards her point of landing. The moment she landed, the boy was already in front of her with his fist ready. He reared his right fist back, the revolving chamber spun and roared to life as all the winds in the area seemed to gather into the single point of his fist. However, the punch wouldn't come as she'd expect. Instead, he slammed his left foot directly onto Lily's own to keep her from escaping as he activated his aura, causing electric currents to rush through his body. Unless she could somehow change her trajectory at the very last second as he could, he doubted that the girl would have much of a chance of escaping his counter. The girl made a grave mistake escaping through the air and leave herself vulnerable. Despite his style, she'd quickly find that Raven was far from a simple brawler. Using the foot he'd slammed down on to propel himself forward, he would smash his right shoulder directly onto Lily's torso to immediately knock the air out of her, and force her back. However, this was not the end to his assault. The fist which he'd reared backwards came flying at her full force at lightning fast speed with a force of a wrecking ball, enough to send a Grimm flying like a ragdoll with its strings cut. However, the strike would never reach her. Instead, it'd stop inches away from the girl's face - if not, a few feet if she chose to escape backwards. <"Gotcha."> The hammer struck the bullet, and as the bullet fed itself into the gauntlet, the hyper velocity cyclone of a shockwave would pound away into the fiber of her very being. The arena in front of him was torn, and ripped asunder as if tornado had passed through the place in a straight line. --- Shockwave Rounds: [3/6] AP: [155/160] MADE BY VEL OF GS

This fight was new territory for Lily, in much the same way that her fight with Aegle had been. While Aegle was her first human opponent that she had engaged in protracted combat, this boy was the first that she had engaged with more going on for him than simple punches and counterstrikes.
Her foot throbbed where he had stomped on it, a tactic Aegle would not have employed, but a fairly good one for dealing with someone like her. Without her ability to move freely, she was in a lot of danger. However, he quickly gave up that advantage by shoulder checking her in the torso. Her defensive aura quickly flared up and she found herself taking the solid hit in stride. He was definitely powerful, that much could not be denied, but she wasn't going to give in so easily.
After watching her performance in other fights, she could definitely see how he might have expected her to dodge away and strike once she was sure of herself. It was a tried and true tactic that she'd always employed. However, her fight with Aegle taught her many valuable thing. One such lesson, was the value of counter attacks. When the boy's fist came soaring directly at her face, her first instinct was to jump backwards, and regroup from a position of power. She quelled that urge in favor of a more aggressive approach. Ducking the fist, She channeled her aura into her left leg, and her right fist. Kicking off of the ground with a kick that left it's mark in the ground, she balled up her left hand into a tight fist. It glowed white with the brilliance of her Aura, radiating the feelings of hope and peace that might have filled Raven with a sense of serenity were it not quickly approaching his midsection. She was aiming to plant a good hit in his solar plexus, to knock the air out of him and leave him doubled over in pain long enough for her to finish the fight easily. Her left hand attempted to find purchase in his shoulder, the claws extending to pierce the boy'd own left shoulder, where she'd attempt to swing herself over his head with the momentum gained from the powerful kickoff jump. As she swung over him, using the shoulder as an anchor, she'd plant both of her feet in the center of his back, before using him as a spring board to kick herself up into the wall, and back down again directly at his unguarded neck. Both hands extended with claws out and vicious intent radiating from her tiny body.
In the brief fraction of time before kicking off of the wall and angling herself back towards her opponent, she could see the true intent of that punch. The shockwave that exploded right where her face was sent waves rippling through the smoke screen he'd thrown up earlier. Truth be told, she wasn't dodging that move, but she should have been. She'd already seen the sort of power it could wield when he'd used it to create the screen in the first place. She had to take in his additional weaponry when considering the fight at hand. That was one major advantage he had over her in this encounter. She had not managed to realize her weapons as physical items, even if the concept schematics were fully fleshed out at this point. She was working at a disadvantage against every opponent who wielded weapons in a fight, and she had to fight like that were true.
She couldn't afford to forget about an opponents weaponry, and even if she were lucky this time, she did not want to rely on luck in a fight such as this. That could prove fatal in the field.
