\ Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
Going for a straight punch like this, Raven was well prepared for a counterattack. This was the reason why he'd kept his left arm in reserve in an anticipation for a response, but what he didn't expect was that she'd actually invade into his space. After watching her fight many times before, he half-expected her to step back from his punch to avoid it, but instead, the girl ducked underneath, and threw herself into his opening. In response to this, the hunter angled his left arm in such a way that he'd be able to easily intercept the course of her punch long before Lily land a hit to her intended target area. The Hunter had to give her a credit. For someone unarmed, she was giving him more trouble than he could possibly bargain for. Followed by a sound of flesh squarely hitting against his metallic arm, Raven pushed her away, but Lily came at him again - this time with her claw extended to impale his shoulder. Again, her attack was a fruitless attempt in injuring him. After losing his entire left arm, he'd replaced it with a prosthetic arm a long time ago, something that many people failed to take notice when fighting him. However, the true intention of the attack came clear to him when she climbed ontop of him, kicking off of his body in a powerful force enough to knock him down on the ground. Thankfully, his soul seemed to realize that he was in danger, and used the aura to cushion his body from being further injured when he impacted the ground. Hard. Though Raven was in a world of pain, he knew his opponent would hardly give him any time to recover, so he got up, took a stance and got ready to throw a punch once again. Once again, she was flying towards him in a straight line, with her claws outstretched to go for the vulnerable part of his neck. She was fast, but not fast enough. By the time she kick off from the wall, he threw a punch forward using the Hound.
It was all or nothing. The revolving compartment spun and roared to life. The primer struck the bullet, and fed itself into the gauntlet. The wind that was compressed into his weapon became released in form of a violent twisting shockwave which seemed to rip through the air that it traveled. The result of the destruction afterwards was no less than devastating. It was almost as if some tornado passed through the arena in a straight line, rending everything in sight and the girl was sent flying as a result. Now that he had the momentum of the match, it was time for him to reveal the Hellhound. His obsidian left arm rumbled to life, and started to glow in an angry crimson and bright orange, almost as if liquid hot magma was coursing through its veins. Thereafter, it went through series of transformations. The plates popped out, interlocked with one another in order to take form of an armored arm which was eerily similar to Barghest's. While Lily was still flying after the effect of his shockwave, Raven revealed a charging handle at the side of his arm and pulled it backwards before switching it to its mode to semi-automatic. The vents popped open, flames ejected out of its openings as the fighter soared through the air at incredible speeds at Lily direction who was still in the air. His eyes widened, full of ferocity, without mercy. He reeled the 'Hound' back, pounded away at her small body, then pulled his right fist back to slam the full force of the 'Hellhound' at her much like a battering ram attempting to crash through the castle gates. Even if she were to block it, the flames propelling him through the air would lead both of them crashing back down to the ground like an infernal comet. --- Shockwave Rounds: [2/6] AP: [145/160] MADE BY VEL OF GS

As Lily found herself soaring through the air, she had to wonder exactly how she had found herself in this predicament, and why she hurt all over. The last thing she recalled, was landing a mostly successful attack against her opponent. She recalled him on the ground beneath her, and she recalled her attempt to attack his unprotected neck flesh, but she didn't quite remember what had happened after that.
She had precious little time to recover. The ground was rushing toward her fast. Though, her opponent was rushing towards her even faster. She had only just managed to shroud herself in an extra defensive layer of Aura when the explosion rocked her world. She was sent rocketing toward the ground, and even with her aura shrouding her body, she felt this one. She bounced off of the ground hard, her body still moving fast. She twisted in the air, managing to land on her feet the second time she came down. She skidded for a few feet before finally coming to a stop. She was breathing heavy, but didn't have the luxury to stay in place and catch her breath. She ran. Her opponent had been much quicker than she could expect, and his capacity for ranged attack was impressive. Not to mention the close quarters combat capabilities an explosive punch like that indicated.
She acted quickly, putting distance between herself and her fiery opponent. She was surprised by him. He was an unassuming looking boy, but fierce in a fight. She was actually having fun.
She made a few quick directional changes, trying to throw his aim off if he were trying to get another shot in.
The boy may have been deceptively fast, but there was absolutely nothing deceptive about Lily's speed. She had rarely met the person who could keep up with her in a footrace. And when she employed her semblance, she believed there was nothing alive that could match her. This was her greatest weapon in a fight, and something she had to employ carefully. This boys weapons were formidable, they allowed him to unleash devastating powerful attacks without so much as a minor drain on his aura. Meanwhile she was burning through her reserves just to stay in the game. She had to get a few good shots in if she wanted to turn the tide.
Turning suddenly, Lily found her opponent and activated her semblance. Rushing headlong at him, she raised her right fist and delivered a crushing mach two aura enhanced punch straight to his gut. She'd aimed to hit his solar plexus, and hoped to stun him for a time. After the punch, she launched into a flurry of fast shallow slashes across his chest and right arm. She used her speed to it's fullest, trying to get in as many strikes as she could before he recovered, but always held back just a little, prepared to dodge or duck a punch of required.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
Most students stayed down after taking a punch like that, but what Raven failed to realize was that Lily was a tenacious opponent. Perhaps it was the girl's tribal upbringing, and the different raising environment that caused her to be like this; even so, he found that aspect of her respectful as a fighter. Even after hitting the ground like that, the Faunus girl somehow managed to regain her footing. However, just because she looked a little worn out didn't mean that he was going to give her a chance to recover. Spreading out his left arm out in front of him, the Hunter put himself at a stable footing and begun to shoot series of explosive fiery concussion shots directly in the girl's direction. Lily, however, seemed to realize what he was about to do, and decided to put distance between them. Even going as far as utilizing her semblance for directional changes to throw off his aim even as he attempted to lead on his target. Her semblance, without a doubt was giving him the most trouble in this fight, more than he could possibly ask for. Trying to keeping up with a mach 2 speed was by all means not an easy task, as well as annoying. As the girl began to close in on him, the brunette's golden eyes widened. It didn't take much of a rocket scientist to figure out what she was about to do at this point, but even as he attempted to put up his guard against incoming blows, she'd already entered his space and planted her fist directly into his solar plexus. causing him to grunt and haul over. His visions wavered for a moment from the sheer force and pain. Despite knowing the differences in their strength, and their overall physique, for the first time, Raven realized just how strong the girl's punch was. Why wouldn't it be? With the kind of a velocity she produced from her ability, her fists themselves were very much like a bullet of their own. Not that he'd ever taken one into his body, but even so, the boy felt his world spinning and it took all of his will not to black out. She then began her onslaught, slashing away at him with her claws. Chest first, then the shoulder. Little bits of blood sprayed over on the arena as Raven threw up his guard in order to protect his vitals from being struck while stepping backwards from her attacks. Perhaps by now, it was a good time to use his own semblance. The boy's eyes were now on her strikes, attempting to get a read on the exact timing of her attacks as she bombarded away at his body with a barrage of her own brutal assault. BGM;; BloodedgeThen, he saw it. A brief fraction of a second of opening in her attacks, even if it was just a momentary falter, Raven would take full advantage of it. The soul within his body flared up, quivered and made itself manifest. He stepped his right foot back, and swung his left arm upwards as if he were drawing out a sword. Despite what people might've been thinking, in his hand was indeed a sword. It was like a streak of translucent blood red light, slicing through the air as it sang deathly hymns and psalms to all those that stood before its crimson edge. This time, Raven stepped forward and closed his right hand against the sword he'd created. However, this time, the weapon immediately transformed into a shape to a great axe with an enormous chopping blade. Putting all the strength that he could in his arms, the hunter brought it downwards for a devastatingly crushing blow, but then, the weapon changed again to a spear, he thrust it forwards before digging the tip into the ground to use it as a leverage to thrust his own body forward with a kick aimed towards the center of her chest to pin her down. --- Shockwave Rounds: [2/6] AP: [90/160] MADE BY VEL OF GS

Having her barrage interrupted was something Lily had expected... the way that it was interrupted however was not. She deftly dodged to the side as the sword swiftly cut the air where she'd just been. As she began to formulate plans in her mind for dealing with this new weapon, it shifted quickly into an axe. Had the axe blow landed, she would have surely lost a limb at the very least. This was a much more dangerous opponent than she'd given him credit for.
She was about to flee when she felt a blinding pain in her shoulder. She looked down and saw the spear lodged, deep. she was having trouble moving her left arm now, and before she could do much about it, she found herself pinned to the ground struggling to free herself from beneath the heel of her opponent. She squirmed and struggled, but to no avail.
She knew that there was only one recourse for this situation. Her special move, that she hated to use against other people. The move she primarily reserved for fighting grimm. She took a deep breath as she entered her semblance state.
She could typically hold her semblance for much longer if she were remaining stationary, however, when throwing punches while stationary, that rule was a little different. Still, she could do a lot of damage in a very short amount of time. She threw punch after punch at the boy's leg which was pinning her down. When her semblance faded, she let out a scream of agony. The rubber of the boy's shoe which was holding her down had gone molten, and she felt the pain from that, coupled with the friction of her semblance having been active while she was in contact with something and being so active all come at once. She place on her chest where his foot had rested was like a pit of fire, agony was her world. She couldn't even really focus on the fight in that moment, and instead could only roll around in pain as the stupidity of her actions fully reached her.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
Raven's sudden counter assault threw his speedster of an opponent into an array of both confusion, and surprise. Despite her superior speed advantage over his own, the girl seemed to have a great deal of trouble dodging the incoming attacks. When the spear he'd created out of his semblance lodged itself deep in her left shoulder, the hunter knew that at this point she had one less options for an attack. If she was going to ever use that wounded limb of hers again in this bout, it'd be only done so with great difficulty. As the girl backed off, Raven plunged the lance down on the stone arena's floor, and launched himself forward with a hard kick to the torso to pin her down. Once again, the blow had landed solidly as he'd hoped for. Lily was pinned, and was squirming underneath his weight and the strength that he was bringing down upon her to no avail. She would not escape him, not this time. All the boy had to do was to deliver the coup de grâce. Raven reeled the Hellhound back for the finishing blow. The obsidian colored limb glistened darkly under the light of the sun, its spiked knuckles were like the guillotine. Surely, this one last blow aimed to the head would bring the girl down for the count, but again, the girl started to glow in pristine white color as she'd done before. <"Oh no you don't. Not this time!">Suddenly, his attention was ripped to the sizzling sound beneath his feet. Raven's widened, realizing what was happening. Before he could remove his feet off of her, Lily punched his leg, causing him to hop backwards not only from pain, as well as from surprise at what was happening. Though the soles of his combat boots were obviously ruined (and most likely not going to wear it ever again), it wasn't something that he'd suffer damage over. The girl on the other hand, was a totally different story. The high density rubber meant to withstand extremely high temperatures from the heat that his weapon generated had turned molten right on her. As the girl writhed in pain, the teachers who'd seemed to have heard of a 'spar' going on in the training grounds immediately came to her rescue. Raven knew well that at this point, this fight was over, and watched as medics carried her off in a stretcher. The girl's bag was left behind and with it, the stuffed animal that she'd held so precious. Its stitches were ripped in several places from the abuse it'd taken, but it was an easy fix. Raven picked her bag along with his own and went about his own way as if it were his trophy. (ooc;; hope you don't mind the time skip)Later that evening, Raven came to the medical bay where Lily was being treated for her wounds. From what he'd seen earlier, burns would be rather severe, and the nurses said that it'd heal with time. Though they weren't sure if they were going to leave a scar, that was really up to how strong her aura was. Thanks to their guidance, he had little trouble finding her again. Even if she seemed to be obviously bandaged up from wounds as he was from the wounds she'd received, the girl seemed to be sitting upright again looking fine as she did a while ago. Once she'd taken notice of his arrival, the hunter would toss the girl's bag - along with the stuffed animal (which was looking like a brand new thing at this point) in her direction. Closing both of his eyes, the boy scratched the back of his head, looking tad sorry over what he'd done. As he stitched over the girl's precious memento, Raven had plenty of time to think over his actions. After pulling out his scroll, he started to type in his message. <"Hey, are you feeling alright?"> Whatever Lily's answer was, he erased it to type in a new message, <"I fixed up the stuffed animal that I unintentionally destroyed earlier. It was a real pain trying to find the matching colors for the thread."> MADE BY VEL OF GS

By the time the pain had passed enough for Lily to realize what was happening, it was too late.
"No! Let me fight!" She screamed as they put her on the stretcher, she wasn't done yet, she still had to teach this boy a lesson for his behavior. She still had to fight. She couldn't lose, not like this.
The teachers however, had a different opinion on the matter. They held her down, even strapped her down, much to her protesting howls. The pain in her chest was unbelievable, but the shame of losing a fight like this was even worse.
Her time in the medical ward was... frustrating. She couldn't help but be depressed after being required to stay. She didn't like that she'd lost, she had still be willing and capable of fighting, but the school didn't want her to injure herself too badly for a simple spar. She spent her time in the recovery ward in silent meditation.
She was still upset about how she'd lost, the burn marks on her chest would serve as a painful reminder of her foolish use of her semblance. She had thought she'd at least deal more damage to her opponent with her final barrage of punches to his leg, but he had managed to walk away from the fight under his own power.
She was bitter, but her meditation helped. Her aura was strong, and the peaceful rays of it that bathed the room whenever she meditated helped to not only calm her mind, but to ease the stresses of the overworked attendants when they came in to check on her. She unwittingly drew extra attention, nurses and attendants would bring her water and food with more frequency than some other patients simply for the relief that attending this strange silent girl provided them. When the door opened again, she was expecting another nurse, and was honestly hoping they'd just leave her alone for a while so that she could meditate in peace. They'd refused to bring her her backpack, saying simply that they couldn't find it, so she was unable to study, and furthermore was worried about her belongings having been stolen.
Instead, she found the boy who had faced her in combat, and looked at him with intensity in her eyes. Before he'd even managed to type away at his phone, she said "I shouldn't have lost that way. It wasn't fair, I wasn't done."
She still seemed quite bitter. Her aura faded as she was snapped out of her peaceful meditative state. As he threw her bag towards her though, she seemed to lighten up slightly.
When he typed out the message, she scoffed lightly, looking back out the window she'd been staring out when he'd entered.
"I'm fine, just frustrated is all." She thought of Aegle, and how the girl got up and kept fighting no matter what had happened. She wanted to cry. She saw her pathetic loss as a strong blow against her pride. When she looked back, he was holding up a new message, which prompted her to check her bag.
"Y-You fixed Mr. Flufflestiltskin?" She asked incredulously holding the stuffed animal to her chest where she'd been burned. Through some manner of persuasive magic, she'd managed to convince the nurses and attendants to let her remain in her tattered black dress, which now sported a fresh hole roughly in the center of her cleavage. It was hardly appropriate, but didn't strictly violate any of the schools decency rules, even if it came close. This little nook was exactly where she held the toy. A small wince as the stuffed cat contacted her burn was all the pain she showed. She looked back to the boy she'd fought in a new light and said "T-Thanks, I guess you can't be all bad if you'd go through that much trouble for me."

"Y-You fixed Mr. Flufflestiltskin?" Mister Fuffle - what now? Well, whatever the little stuffed animal's name that Lily was holding might have been, she seemed to have lightened up somewhat despite how sour she was feeling from that fight earlier. She was right, it wasn't fair. Raven could easily sympathize with her feeling that their match concluded in such an anticlimactic manner than the way it should have. If he were in her shoes, the brunette knew he'd be feeling the exactly the same way, but nonetheless, now that their dispute have ended, the boy felt as though he had no more reasons for staying around. "T-Thanks, I guess you can't be all bad if you'd go through that much trouble for me." Raven shrugged. as if to tell her: It wasn't a big deal, but he had to admit that knitting something like this for a first time in a long while was rather enjoyable. Jackie always brought her stuffed animals to him than to their mother whenever they were torn from her playing with them too roughly. He could still distinctly remember her cries, and in midst of her tears that her Mister Wilson's buttons had fallen out again, or ears have ripped been off. Seeing her smiles meant the world to him, even if their parents weren't around from their hunting missions, he'd do his best to fill the empty space in their home. Could he truly go back to that time again? Pulling off the bag over on his shoulder, the boy brought up his scroll to type in series of new messages for Lily. <"Well, I've done what I've come here to do. Don't really see the reason for me to stick around longer than I should,"> He erased it, and typed in a new message, <"So... I guess I'll see you around the campus. Don't take my bag again by mistake, though."> MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily hopped out of bed in one graceful motion, landing silently on her feet beside the bed. She grabbed her backpack in one arm, and Flufflestiltskin was tucked away under the other.
"We're not done yet." She said grinning. "I can't stay cooped up in here for not a minute longer, and well, I owe ya one for fixing him up like that. He looks even better than when I'd first gotten him."
She began walking toward the door, and craned her neck to indicate that the boy should follow her. "C'mon," she said as she plodded silently out the door.
Despite her attempt at discretion, she was set upon by nurses and attendants as soon as she left the room. They were gathered around telling her to go back to bed and that she was still too weak to move.
To illustrate that she was not, she jumped into the air, contorting herself so that her feet impacted the ceiling, which she used as a springboard to clear the crowd of people that was forming around her.
"I'm FINE!" She shouted, more upset by the people who had crowded her than the actual circumstance of the day. She did not do well in a group. She rushed down the hall, turning to give Raven a quick look that indicated that he should follow. Her acrobatic display had sent signals of pain coursing through her chest and into the rest of her body, but she was not worried. She had dealt with worse pains, and the idea of being slowed down by such a trivial wound and still calling herself a huntress sickened her. She wouldn't let the pain interfere with her studies, or her daily life.

Buddy you're a young man hard man, Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day!
When the girl started to shift from her bed, Raven turned his attention back to her, raising one of his eyebrows as if to ask: What are you doing? The brunette was no doctor, but when faculties told him that he ought to lie down, he knew he had to lie down until the doctors here were for sure ready to release him. However, judging by the way she'd just jumped out of the bed... she seemed almost perfectly fine again save for an uneven hole at the center of the girl's dress. The boy had a feeling that the teachers would definitely say something about it if she'd just walked on out of here like that. "We're not done yet." She suddenly spoke up to him, "I can't stay cooped up in here for not a minute longer, and well, I owe ya one for fixing him up like that. He looks even better than when I'd first gotten him."Raven shrugged in a mildly uninterested manner, not really looking all too terribly excited for whatever the girl was planning. The young brunette had already had a fair share of shenanigans for one day, so he wanted to end this meeting on a quiet note. His newly found companion... seemed to have other ideas in mind. The girl began to sneak out of the room, moving as quietly as possible even if there was no one in here with them. Once she'd walked out, her neck craned from the edge of the doorway like some cartoon character and beckoned for him to follow. A pause. ... Wait, was he seriously supposed to partake in this terrible misadventure that they were about to have? All the hunter came here to do was to simply deliver the goods that he'd recovered earlier from the arena, and give it back to her. Now, he was her accomplice, and he didn't even have a chance to protest to this idea. If the nurses and doctors caught them, neither of them would hear the end of their ranting. Not to mention, he wasn't even given the chance to have a say in the matter. <"Wait, just what kind of situation is this?"> If he looked as normal as possible, then maybe, just maybe he could come out of this unscathed. As he let out an inward sigh, the boy walked out of the room - only to find that despite their careful sneaking (if one could call it such), the two hunters were inevitably stopped by a group of doctors, and nurses. They urged for Lily to go back to her room, telling her that she shouldn't be moving yet. Given the behavior that she'd shown him earlier, the young brunette had a feeling that despite the protests of medical staff, Lily wasn't going to stop. Somewhere in his head, he had a feeling that she'd only reply with the kind of answer he'd give to others if they were concerned about him: Annoyed, perhaps with a tinge of anger leaving him. While the boy expected a retort, what he didn't expect was the kind of scene she'd make, which would frankly leave, everyone in the hallways quite dumbfounded. Though Raven knew that she was more agile, acrobatic, and faster than he could ever be, she surprised Raven yet once again. The suddenly girl sprang up to the ceiling, used it as some sort of a springboard, and jumped back down to the ground, easily clearing a mob in front of her with ease. Hell, only if he could do that. "I'm FINE," Then she darted off, quite frankly, leaving all of them in the dust and dumbfounded. It left the doctors and nurses scratching the back of their heads, making these poor confused men and women asking themselves: 'What the hell just happened?' While Raven wondered if he was supposed to follow her at this point.... Though from the look of her face, she wanted him to come with her. <"Ha... what a pain."> Raven darted right after her, but unlike her, the boy was falling way too far behind. Only keeping up with her speed, just barely enough to be able to make her out in the crowd. To her, it might've been no more than a light jog, but to the young hunter, this was a full on sprint. It felt as if he were playing a game of tag with a rabbit of all things. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Lily darted through the halls deftly dodging student and medical staffer alike. She wasn't going too fast, she didn't want to lose her friend to the crowds after all. Every once in a while she would look back to make sure he was keeping up. Once she was in a section of the compound where the people were a little thin, and she was relatively sure that she wasn't being followed, she slowed down and let Raven actually catch up. In the meantime, she busied herself by tapping at her scroll a little bit. She was ordering some curry from the place Aegle had showed her. It was going to be delicious, and she'd share it with the boy who was kind enough to fix his mistakes and gave her one hell of a fight.
She didn't mention this, and instead just started walking once the boy had caught up with her. When they were finally outside again, she breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't like being cooped up inside like that. It made her skin crawl.
She was headed away from Vytal, off campus. "So, you're a pretty good fighter, I gotta respect that. Tell me about yourself." She said with a smile, "And, I guess if you have questions for me, you can ask. I uhh, I don't have many friends yet. This is how you do that right?"
She was feeling self conscious, but she wanted to make up for the way she was treating him before. She'd felt justified, but she still felt like she was a bit more harsh than she needed to be. Maybe the next time they fought, it could be as friends and not out of spite. She would like that.
The settlement surrounding Vytal was interesting. They arrived at a bench not too far from the woods where she had expected food to be waiting. Shrugging, she sat down. This wasn't her final destination, but the scenery was nice and the air was fresh, she couldn't help but feel a little bit more relaxed here. The proximity to wilderness, tamed though it may be, was nice. Birdsong filled the air, the aroma of flowers nearby wafted on the breeze, the people tended their gardens and sold their goods. Here in the world of man, people lived freely, carelessly. She envied their naivety. To be so free, at least to her, indicated that they'd never really experienced the horrors the world held. Whether or not that was true, she didn't really care. It was strange to see, but still inspired within her a desire to protect. And she would. "This school is great," She said in a lapse between him typing and her examining the world around them.
