Chrohn was already making a retreat when the official order came out to run. If he had been not stuck with carrying his downed partner, he most likely would have taken to fighting a bit longer, but he didn't want to risk his partner getting even more hurt than she already was, simply because Chrohn was distracted or pinned down. However, while some who wore bigger stones around their loins would call him a coward, Chrohn had decided this was the best time for a tactical retreat, regardless of if it had been called for by the higher ups or not.
As he zoomed through the area towards the academy, Chrohn had stopped a few times here and there, either re-adjusting Ama on his back, or knocking the Grimm over with enough gravitational force to keep up easily three hundred pounds of humans several feet in the air with consistency. Chrohn had actually done this a few times as he had no desire to dismount, and on the latest, Chrohn had regretted doing so for several reasons.
To start, he had taken the black dust thrusters to the grimm's face, as he usually did, however two things caused this to go wrong: First, Chrohn wasn't angled properly while doing so, and the second was that the Grimm was able to retaliate somewhat before getting shot backwards. The combination of these two events ended up knocking Chrohn off of the board, while also rendering the board as non-operational for the time being. "Uggh, today is not a good day for me," he muttered in a nervous, sing-songy voice as he got up, struggling with the extra weight on his back. His sword and Ama's....whatever her weapon was were nearby, scattered among the ground, with his hoverboard nearby as well. I gotta carry all of the things....FUCK. Ama, why did your hand have to uncurl. Board, why did you have to get trashed. Grimm, why couldn't you take the board to the face like a good little hellion from...wherever you come from.
Chrohn sighed once more as he thought about how to organize everything. Okay, so....there is my sword, Ama's hammer lance thing, and my board. How can I play equipment Tetris to get this to work. He pondered for a few moments before some Grimm started approaching, NO TIME TO THINK THEN, FINE! The end result was Ama and the board getting strapped to Chrohn's back via jacket while he ran about with her weapon and his in hand. Fuck....heavy...how does she lift this on a regular basis. All she does is eat ice cream? While running and slashing at the Grimm with his sword, Chrohn decided that it would be best to avoid using Ama's weapon due to how it looked to require two hands, and how heavy it seemed to be, especially with how dire of a situation this seemed to be. The less mistakes there were, the better.
And as such, he continued back towards the school at a steady, yet slower pace than before.

Mizumi Tai Mizumi quickly spun and began retreating when the call for retreat came out. Once more spinning her hammer and slamming it into the ground as she did, the giant women moving with large strides. Of course, her movements were stopped when the Grimm above screeched, dropping Mizumi onto the ground as she held herself on one knee with Blowback. The sky darkened and Mizumi's vision blurred for a few moments before focusing again on the darkness covering them. Mizumi stood and continued her retreat to the academy, this thing was massive and certainly not something she could fight. Whatever this Grimm was, it was certainly casting a massive shadow over this battlefield. Shadows...oh no. Mizumi's mind made the connection at the exact same time as Dusty's did, and she screamed out a warning, mentally and physically, just a moment too late. "Dusty, no!" Then his eyes went black, and he almost seemed to be succeeding for a moment, a terrifying shadow copy of the creature rising from the ground. Except them his muscles started seizing, and in turn so did Mizumi's. She growled as she dropped onto her knee again, her arm's loss of control throwing Blowback a few feet away from her. It took a few moments, but Mizumi eventually deactivated her semblance. She felt Dusty grow distant, felt her body slow and become sluggish and her aura lost it's yellow tint. Along with that, the spasms rocking her body stopped, as they were truthfully only wracking Dusty. Standing up she first grabbed Blowback from where it fell before sprinting back towards Dusty. Her feet made loud thuds as she ran, and she didn't change course for much anything instead slamming it out of the way either with her hammer or her hands, focused instead on getting to Dusty. She got to the boy, a combination of terror and determination on her features as she immediately darted next to him. "Oh no, Dusty. Come here big guy." She reached down and picked him up, hauling him easily over her shoulder. At this point she realized he was missing his weapons, and a quick examination of the area located the two halves of his bow. Another few steps and she grabbed those as well, putting them together into a bow and spinning Blowback into its rifle form. Mizumi ran, ran back towards the academy with Dusty over her shoulder and both their weapons in her hands. A combination of her massive size, fear, determination, and luck ended up having Mizumi catch up to Chrohn. Seeing him struggle to carry Ama, and seeing Ama unconscious on his shoulder sent another pang through her chest. "Chrohn..." Her words froze in her throat, instead coming out as a small chocking sound. Mizumi realized she was crying, tears streaming from her eyes in an almost completely uncontrolled downpour. How had this gone so wrong? It was just a training exercise, a class outing, maybe some combat if a few Grimm ended up attacking. Nobody expected the Grimm to launch a full invasion force, nobody expected that thing to appear in the sky. She swallowed and looked at Chrohn again, running alongside him towards the academy. "Do, do you need some help? I can carry some of those things for you." Her gaze flicked back towards Dusty, still spasming on her back, and she sobbed once before turning back ahead and focusing. "Don't worry guys, I'll fix you up when we get back." The words were muttered, barely audible even to Chrohn and meant mostly to reassure her. Lavender Rose Lavender was slightly more prepared, helping the students get out the moment the call for retreat came out. She fired needle after needle from Skorpio, dropping Grimm into a temporary state of paralysis as the students retreated. Then the massive Grimm coated the sky in darkness, the screech burning through her ears to her very core, rattling in her soul itself. That was one of the only times Lavender had ever shown true fear, and it was likely one of the last times she would as well. She looked around and saw no more students in the immediate area, all of them already sprinting towards the academy again after the howling wail. So Lavender did the same thing, continuing to cover them while they ran, a few more needles just to insure escape. Lavender ran past a focusing Mizumi, and used the last needle in her cartridge to paralyze a Graylich that was chasing her. Mizumi just kept running, too focused on something, or more likely someone, to care for her own safety or the Grimm attacking her. Stupid girl, she couldn't save whoever she was after if she died on the way there. But Mizumi wasn't her problem, her problem was the massive Grimm in the sky, and more importantly what it could do to her students. She came across Eve, on the ground and with her weapon broken around her. Lavender strode over and helped her up, loading a new cartridge and vial into Skorpio before spinning it around and grabbing its blade. Presenting the weapon to Eve, the scorpion teacher almost smiled in a reassuring manner. "Go Eve, get back to the academy. Protect my students, make sure they get there safely. Even with this, there are still the Grimm swarming the street and everyone's too panicked to notice. I can't blame them though, anybody would be." Lavender turned around and looked to the sky, dipping Sting in its poison vial once more and holding her now empty left hand in a defensive pose. Glowering at the massive black creature in the sky, she looked like she was getting ready to fight it, likely because she was. "I have to protect them from this, draw its attention. Because if it even looked at any of my students they wouldn't stand a chance. Hell, I don't stand a chance, but I can at least survive a little longer. Just, promise me you'll protect them. Promise me you'll keep them safe." Her words were just as usual, dark, dreary, and straight to the point. But there wasn't a twinge of dishonesty in her voice, in fact there was even a pang of regret as she brought up her students, and it was clear she truly cared for them. Turning back to the massive Grimm blotting out the sky, she growled one final challenge. "Those are my kids, and I won't let you hurt a single one."Combat Notes:Lavender RoseAura: 605/700 Fire Crystal: 10/10 Ice Crystal: 10/10 Energy Crystal: 10/10 Sting's Poison: 23/25 Skorpio Spares: 2/3 Skorpio Needles: 10/10 Skorpio Vials: 10/10 Given Skorpio to Eve Mizumi TaiAura: 50/150 Synchronize: Deactivated Charge Value: 14/200

A high pitched chime pummeled Eve’s eardrums as she tried to struggle to her feet. She was disoriented, and rightfully so. Off in the distance, deep in the city, she could hear the sounds of battle. People screaming, weapons being fired and met with the roars of Grimm. The massive monster from the sea - what she was accepting may be one of the legendary Four Wills - loomed over the island and scanned it with its piecing red eyes. This was it, she was thinking to herself, they were all going to die. To not be reduced to a torrent of tears required every bit of willpower Eve had, and just when she was about to lose the last bit of hope she had, someone helped her up.
Staggering to her feet took a lot more effort than she had hoped, obviously a result of her fall from the rooftops. Covered in a series of bloodied scrapes, as well as bruised, Eve drew in a sharp breath before accepting Lavender’s weapon. It was so good to see a friendly face. "Go Eve, get back to the Academy.” She directed, adding her intent to stare the beast down. Despite wanting to protest, despite wanting to order Lavender to retreat, she couldn’t. There were no words that escaped the tired woman’s lips, only a pained and raspy wheeze. The fall, the horror of the monster above, it had all been so much in a short amount of time.
Gripping the hilt of Lavender’s weapon, Skorpio, Eve reluctantly sighed before nodding. She would go back to the Academy, she would make sure everyone would be safe. In the effort Lavender did not survive, she could at least promise the woman that. Were Eve capable of words at that moment, she would have left with a “Be careful, Lavender.” - but just like before, the words just couldn’t form. Maybe there was a little bit of brain damage from the fall, or maybe she had been terrified to the point of losing her ability to speak. Regardless of the cause, at least she was alive. At least she could survive.
Weaving through the streets, Eve made her way to the Academy, meeting up with students and ordering them - as best she could - to the school along the way. There was an eerie lack of Grimm as they neared Vytal, causing Eve’s stomach to churn uncomfortably. This didn’t stop her, though, as she bolted into the school where a number of civilians and students all huddled together for shelter. Maybe she was wrong, maybe they could survive. There was a fleeting moment of serenity in the building, which shattered like a mirror as a heavy rumble shook the island. It was like an earthquake. The foundation of buildings throughout the city rumbled, knocking free dust and debris.
Dusty’s Shadow Clone of the beast faded, seemingly to the dismay of the monster. It was almost as if it had looked forward to the challenge. The giant serpent was now moving, coiling around the city like a hungry viper. Even after two loops, it still towered above the area of the city that it had now turned into its trap. Down below was Lavender, who had foolishly decided to stand against the might creature. It’s glowing blood red eyes stared at her, its heavy breath steaming as it made contact with the air. With a heavy bellow, the monster flicked its tail before its entire body started to emit a soft white glow. It was like the moon, and almost as beautiful. Eve could see it from within the Academy, and she was completely awestruck by the majesty radiating off the thing.
Then, like a bolt of lightning and with a wide-open jaw, the Will of the Skies struck down upon Lavender’s location.

When Mizumi caught up to Chrohn offering for help, he shook his head "No thanks, I can manage." This was followed by looking at her baggage. And it seems Dustuto is having a fever of seizures, he thought, worried about the situation at hand but also about what may lay in store. Chrohn's body was sore, and he didn't even fight much. Hell, if it just came to fighting, Chrohn was positive he could've lasted a good while against some grimm that weren't the giant sea penis they were dealing with. However, his body was also not used to carrying easily 300 pounds more than usual.
As they ran, Chrohn attempted to initiate conversation with the able bodied teammate. However, how everything came out was odd. It was clear, not blubbered up with tears and snot, and it was calm, despite the shitstorm that was around them; it was his usual tone of voice, slightly flat, but not monotone, and only slightly disturbed by his huffing as they ran. "So...Mizu..." his mind blanked, and after a moment the gears stared cranking again," How are you holding up? Do anything fun lately?" His mind was still carefree, but for once he was actually glad he had attended some classes, specifically all of those related to first aid. Did he pick those? No idea. Were they helpful? Damn straight. One reason he started talking again was to accomplish multiple goals. First, long walks along the middle of the battlefield were boring. Secondly, It helped with reading his allies, and checking their location. Last, it occasionally helped trigger more train of thoughts. And the last one was definitely working for once.
He kept up the pace, though started talking again while they ran. "Oi, swap Ama and Dusty with me. I've done about as much as I can for Ama right now, and from what I recall, you aren't to particularly saavy with first aid and white-magery. While my stuff isn't the best, it'll definitely help tone down the spasms and relieve some of his pain. If you're up for swapping, just let me know. I'm ready whenever you are."

Mizumi TaiMizumi swallowed tightly when Chrohn spoke, his calm words serving to dull the torrent of tears pouring down her face. She nodded when he asked how she was, even smiling a little when he asked her if she'd been doing anything fun. "I, I've been better." When he asked to swap Ama for Dusty though, she shook her head quickly. She could fix Dusty, could help him, she had to be able to. She stopped moving and closed her eyes, feeling towards Dusty with what little aura she had remaining. "Mizumi, your aura levels are almost depleted. Be careful." Cirsi's worried voice spoke into Mizumi's ear, the AI only audible to her. Mizumi nodded, another tiny smile hitting her tear ridden face as she found Dusty's yellow and frankly fading aura. "I know, I can do this. I can fix this, he'll be fine." She attuned her aura to Dusty's, feeling the majority of her aura dissipating. That wasn't the worst part though, because as she synchronized she felt the pain roaring through her body. She dropped to a knee as her shimmering aura became green again, barely able to maintain her hold on Dusty. Of course, it wouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows for Dusty, as all of Mizumi's fear and panic and a little twinge of something a bit more flowed into his mind. The giant women hummed gently, focusing herself on the pain Dusty was feeling, and focusing on getting rid of it. Her aura flickered in protest, fading even more to the point were it looked more like a thin veil of smoke. Her mending flowed through Dusty like a river, easing his pain-and in turn Mizumi's. As soon as she felt his pain go away she dropped the synchronize, what remained of her aura returning to blue. "I," She sniffled, wiping her eyes and shaking her head before continuing to speak. "I can help Ama too, I have just enough aura." Mizumi stood back up and continued running with Chrohn, hauling Dusty on her back whether or not he had recovered. Mizumi's goal was making it completely to the school, getting all of them to safety. She caught sight of the massive beast begin glowing, and saw it strike down at a small, tailed, red and blue figure. "Professor Rose..."Lavender RoseThe red crystal in Lavender's gauntlet glowed as she pulled upon her semblance, instantly relocating to a foot away from the maw crashing down on her. The scorpion was barely able to see the massive head slam down on a fiery replica of herself, then felt the following shockwave. She was lucky she was so quick on her feet, and so stable, because even with all of that she began to shake and rattle from the force of the impact. The fiery replica created by her displacement exploded, causing an eruption of fire within the mouth of the Will, which Lavender was just putting together was what this thing was. Most people would've ran at the realization, would've realized they couldn't win and made a tactical retreat. But not Lavender, she already knew she wasn't going to win and knowing what it was didn't change that. Her purpose here was to protect her students, make sure the next generation was alive to fight things like this. They weren't just her students, no they were her kids, she cared for them almost as much as a mother would. So the knowledge of what this thing was simply caused her to narrow her eyes, place her right hand forward, the three inch point sticking off her index finger dripping in poison. Once she became stable upon the ground again, she charged. Lavender moved right up next to it and displaced again, going three feet straight up and grasping onto the front of this thing's face. Sting curled in and pressed into the skin, and as it did her rose aura glowed, the poison upon the ring turning blood red as she enhanced the potency of it. Her stinger followed quickly after, slamming straight down in front of her in an attempt to plunge through its skull and inject yet more venom. Then the yellow crystal in her glove glowed, and she was replaced by a crackling electric copy. She wound up another two feet up the massive draconic beast, dipping Sting back into her bottle of poison and doing the same thing. Curling her hands around it, gripping tightly and having Sting administer her paralytic poison, though not enhancing it this time. Then slamming her stinger down upon its body trying to do more damage, after all her primary tool to finish off Grimm was Skorpio, and Eve had needed it more. The electrical copy exploded, lightning arcing along the head of the Will. Lavender may have known she was way out of her league, but she wouldn't go out without a fight. Her kids were counting on her. As Dusty lay on the ground, he could feel his muscles slowly beginning to relax and his cramping easing away. It was like working out: he had taken on too strenuous an exercise for his current physical state and he was paying the price for it. He gave a short, painful laugh as the thought of exercising to the point where he could make a shadow copy of the creature above the island. Protein beyond protein, performance enhancing drugs, and who knows what else, probably. If he ever did get to that point, he could probably beat Mizumi in a fist fight. He laughed again, the pain marginally less this time. Suddenly, though, he felt Mizumi's prescence in his head disappear and his muscles quickly tightened back up. He grit his teeth in agony, barely registering Mizumi picking him up and carrying him. Her semblance has halved his pain as she shared the load, but their separation and each bouncing step his partner took brought more cramping and pain.
"Jeez, guys. I'm not dead yet," Dusty managed to say, forcing a smile as he looked at Chrohn. He saw Ama on his back, his smile fading and turning to worry. He hoped she was okay. It didn't look like she was moving much, but he couldn't see any blood or injuries. He opened his mouth to speak again when he felt Mizmui synchronize with him and a sudden wave of emotions washed over him. He blinked, barely able to register everything she was feeling. Her fear for his well being, her pain that she was sharing with him, and...
Dusty felt his cheeks grow hot in spite of the situation. He looked at the back of Mizumi's head as he felt his cramping quickly ease away. Out of all the times they'd synchronized, how had he never noticed...that before. He didn't protest as Mizumi desynchronized with him, stood back up, and continued running with him over her shoulder or even do much of anything. His face was blank as he processed what he'd felt, though his face was still as Fire Dust.

The head of the massive beast struck the ground with immense force, sending a powerful vibration pulsing through the island. It was akin to a small earthquake, rattling the bodies of building and human alike. The Will of the Skies was largely unaffected by the explosion from Lavender’s Semblance, but despite that it flinched. Fire and smoke rose from its mouth, noxious black liquid dripping from its mighty jaws. As the gargantuan creature loomed over the island once more, staring down the city with a murderous gaze, it released another earsplitting roar - much like the one that had ripped through the city like a hurricane minutes ago.
With a whip of its great tail, the Will sent wave upon wave crashing upon the island. Its glow became brighter as the skies churned, followed by heavy rains and great bolts of lightning. A storm to dwarf all storms had come upon the island of Vytal. This was the Will’s call to the rest of Remnant, as if to say “We are here, we are ready.” The beast then returned its attention to Lavender, the woman that had foolishly attempted to fight it alone. Many Hunters had been put down by the likes of mere Barghests - what hope did she have against a beast of apocalyptic proportions? She was now charging the behemoth, as if she hoped her measly weapon would do the great serpent harm.
Her stinger met its mark, pulsing venom into the monster. It would have seemed to anyone but the monster that her attack was effective. A deep, rumbling growl emitted from the maw of the monster as its glowing red eyes stared the woman down - almost as if it were gazing into her soul. Before it could attack, however, one of her copies exploded once again. The electricity did little to the Will, but it did travel through the water that coated its heavy scales. At best, it was a tingling sensation to the monster. What was not intended or expected, however, was the energy flowing from the Will’s body and into one of the powering stations for the Waters of Life.
The generator spurred to life, activating the small portion of the energy shield it was allocated to powering. An immense pulse, that would otherwise have become the barrier between Vytal and danger, seared through the body of the monster like a hot knife. It writhed in pain, howling into the skies as it begging for help. Its cries were not answered. Quickly regaining its composure, the serpent’s eyes locked in on Lavender. It’s intent could not have been more clear. The great beast stared down at her, as if pitying the woman. Releasing a hefty sigh, steaming in the air, the Will turned itself towards the sea.
As it disappeared into the horizon, the storm began to subside. Just before the passing of the last cloud, a sudden bolt of lightning fell from the sky - striking Lavender where she stood. Before the woman could recover, before she could even stand, came another. Then another, and another. A barrage of bolts fell from the sky, numbering almost a dozen, before finally ending. The beast was gone, as well as the Grimm that came with it. People began spilling out into the streets, observing the ruin that had fallen upon a sizable portion of the city. A rescue party had already begun searching for survivors.
Eve.
She went out looking for Lavender.
We will do one more round, then end the event. Thanks for participating and making another successful event, you guys!

As they ran, stopping briefly as Mizumi briefly patched up the seemingly broken Dusty, the boy piped up and Chrohn responded, still calm and a bit flat," Oh hey, Dusty! You're awake. I was worried that you might miss out on the ever so exciting run home. Ya know, always fun to run with an overload of stuff. This actually reminds me of my first year here. It wasn't fun. I was tired, not as fit and a whole hell of a lot shorter." It was just boring chatter, given this was also the most exciting, boring run home ever.
And after some loud noises from the sea penis, a few lightning strikes that hit way behind the group, the grimm just seemed to disappear. Given this was also potentially due to the fact that Chrohn wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings that were immediately before him. He had his friends to worry about.
After a few more moments, they ran into the some of the members of the rescue party as people started into the streets.
(Sorry for shit end post, but I'm always bad at these.)

Lavender Rose Lavender was surprised when the generator shot up, the technological wonder searing through the Will like butter. The creature roared, it's erratic movements tossing Lavender off its head and straight onto the ground. She groaned, the fall dampened by her aura but still painful and bruising. Along with that the water running along its scales had coursed the tiniest amount of electricity into her as she gripped onto its face. It glared at her, the sheer power in its eyes sending a temporary shiver down the teacher's spine. But instead of springing down and ending her life then and there, while she was disoriented from the fall, it instead sighed and flew away. Lavender rose on shaky legs, before gasping and dropping back to a knee. It seemed her leg was twisted from the fall, and while she would be okay shortly with her aura, she was stuck to one knee as she called out after the massive Grimm. "This is my island you draconic bastard, and those are my kids. You fly away and tell your friends, tell all the Grimm, don't fuck with my students!" Lavender's words were shouted out into the distance, and as the massive Grimm disappeared into the distance, she smiled. She had won. Well, she hadn't fully won, but she hadn't died a horrible death against one of the god damned Wills. It was certainly a feat of strength, and tenacity, and one she would brag about for the rest of her life. The skies began clearing, the howling gale leaving with the dragon as it flew towards the horizon. As it disappeared over the horizon she brought her stinger around and as the poison glistening upon it turned gold, she stuck herself with it. The medical poison coursed through her, her messed up leg feeling much better rapidly. Then a crack resounded through the air, and she didn't even have time to react as the lightning hit. The first one slammed into her aura, a slight bit of disorientation sending her sprawling onto the ground, though no massive damage. Another thunder crack, and the next bolt collided, sending electricity through her nerves and causing her to growl. Her aura still took the brunt of it, but it was getting torn apart rapidly. Another one came down, smashing her aura apart as it hit and causing burns to appear along her back, her clothing singed. Then Lavender started doing something strange, instead of screaming, or growling in pain, or even just staying defiantly silent, she began to laugh. Even with this, she had still won. Her students were safe, the Will had been driven away, so it didn't matter if she died here. She did her job, the next generation of hunters was still safe to continue their training, hopefully they could kill that thing for good. Booming thunder rocked the sky again, and this lightning bolt didn't have any aura to get through, impacting her unprotected body in an instant. Pain arced through her, and her leg began spasming as electrical pulses aggravated the nerves. Yet still she laughed, a genuine smile on her face for the first time in a long while. She wasn't fully down just yet, though the following bolt of electricity sought to correct that. It crackled through the sky and right into her, causing her vision to go black and her skin to tingle. Her giggling stopped, but she didn't stop smiling, even through the pain. Then yet another lightning bolt arced through the sky, and Lavender's heart stopped. It wouldn't matter if someone got there shortly after, the following bolts insured she would be long dead before then, her movements owing only to the lightning sending electrical impulses to her nerves. Mizumi Tai Mizumi smiled as Dusty spoke, even bringing herself to laugh at Chrohn as she stopped. Gently setting Dusty down in front of her, she smiled even brighter, simply staring at him for a moment, before dropping both the weapons she held in her hands and crushing him with a tight hug. "Oh thank god you're still okay! Next time you try something that big, at least let me take some of the burden off you ya big dummy!" She continued squeezing him in a hug tight enough to wrangle bears, Blowback slowly dimming its purple glow as the charge wore off. She finally loosened her grip, though she kept him in a still decently tight hug, and looked at him with worry. "Do you need more healing? I can help more, anything you need just ask." Her words were no longer nearly as teary, though they still had that tinge of sadness and a whole lot of worry within them. But then the giant beast roared and screeched, bringing her attention to it as it began flying away. Mizumi cheered loudly, releasing Dusty completely to throw her hand up in a cheer. Professor Rose had done it, she'd beaten the Grimm that threatened everybody, the whole island even. With a cheer and a teary laugh she turned back to Dusty and bounced up and down, grabbing his shoulders and lifting him with her. "Hah! She did it! Professor Rose beat that thing!" Another cheer as the sky cleared, and Mizumi was happy for a moment. Then the first lightning bolt flew towards the ground and her face fell. Her bright smile fell into a look of shock as she saw lightning bolt after lightning bolt crash into the ground where Professor Rose was last seen. She took a single step towards it before Cirsi spoke up in her ear, the AI speaking in an almost panicked voice. "No! Your aura levels are too low, you can't risk going back out there!" Mizumi froze, pulled her foot back, and stared at the ground. She quivered slightly as she thought about it, if anyone could survive that it would be Professor Rose. "She's okay. She has to be."Combat Notes Lavender Rose:DECEASEDMizumi Tai:Aura: 25/150

Dusty blinked and stared up at Mizumi after she had set him down, not really registering what she had said for a moment. His face was still beet red as he stared up at his partner. "Y-yeah, I'm fine... Perfectly fine..." he said, coughing into his fist before she suddenly hugged him. He blinked again, his shoved into a very...soft place that didn't help his embarresment at all. As she continued, his gaze hardened as a mixture of emotions. Anger, frustration, and so many things conflicting inside him. "You couldn't have helped me with that. There's only so much you can do by synchronizing with me. I... I wasn't strong enough to handle it, to create something strong enough and big enough to stand against that creature." His eyes lost focus for a moment as he slipped into silence. After a moment's pause, the emotional feedback he'd felt from Mizumi wriggled its way back into the forefront of his mind and his face grew not again. He squirmed his way free from the bigger girl's grip, a task easier said than done, but managed to do it when Mizumi released him. He took a few steps back and looked away, still blushing furiously. "I'm fine, Mizumi. I just cramped up is all. I'd say you're worse than my mother, but my mother wouldn't have been so worried."
Dusty watched as the beast roared and left, seemingly as if it was fleeing. He smiled a little, glad that the short nightmare was finally over. He allowed Mizumi to bounce him around in her moment of joy, only for that moment to be quickly cut short when the lightning began to fall from the sky. He pushed Mizumi's hands away as he stared up in awe at the bolts of pure energy struck the ground. Right where Professor Rose had been. He began to run, muttering "No, no, no..." to himself as he ran towards the professor's position. As he neared, a bolt hit the ground a few feet in front of him. The force of the blast knocked him back, sending him skidding along the ground. He cursed and rolled back to his feet, running towards Professor Rose as the lightning bolts stopped. He slid on his knees next to the fallen professor, his aura already glowing its soft, golden yellow and his hands raised to heal her, but just by looking at her, he knew. She was gone and there wasn't anything any of them could do. Dusty's hands dropped to his sides and his aura faded away as tears bubbled up in his eyes. "Dammit..." he said through gritted teeth. "I should have been stronger... I should have made that shadow copy...You'd be alive if it weren't for me..."
