"I like that pair idea! Vanessa can team up with Chrohn and I can team up with Kyle! Class year buddies!" Ciela started running around trying to push people into pairs, shoving Vanessa toward Chrohn and setting herself next to Kyle. She raised her hand, trying to high-five Kyle.

Kyle is rubbing his head. The little flygal and him, Paired up. He then high fives Ciela. "Let's go, partner."

"So... I'm staying with Chron. Fine, i guess. Just give us some time to make up strategies."
Vanessa then dragged Chron towards a hidden place, and then stared at him for some moments, before saying anything.
"So, whadya have in mind for a strategy?"

Chrohn didn't mind the fight technically being a three-way battle royal; actually, it made everything a bit more fun, but it didn't stop Chrohn from groaning on the inside a bit. Typically a bit of choice in the matter was always preferred, but as the other group had already formed, the gambler would have to take the hand given to him, playing for a flush.
When Vanessa approached him about strategy, his voice dropped low as he motioned for her to come hither. "From what I can tell, most everyone here relies primarily on close combat weapons, and from my experience, most ranged weaponry is used either if they specialize in it or as a last resort for those that stick to melee but I missed the new guy's intro so I could be wrong about him-I don't even know what he uses." This could be a problem for the fight, as unknown variables were never fun to deal with: they could be both over and underestimated, which required a whole new level of caution. However, this was easily a trait that could prove useful for hunters: spontaneity, and the ability to adapt. Some could handle this, others couldn't, but those who couldn't were often hurt or killed in the line of duty.
Here, Chrohn shifted his stance and shot a quick nod towards the harpie, "I'd say be careful with Ciela as her wings look be a problem, but it looks like she has problems focusing on a single thing from our previous interaction." I don't know much about the boy though, nor the blacksmith. I assume the blacksmith stripped to lighten the load, but there could be some other reason to that action. "I don't know much about the guy, nor the blacksmith, but I'd approach both with caution for separate reasons: the blacksmith because he's more experienced and the guy because he's an unknown variable." It was now that he relaxed his stance a bit as it seemed others were still prepping. Chrohn took this time to get the partner's opinion, "What about you? Any strategies you might have?"

Vanessa looked at the Harpie, before pondering for a bit, as if she was trying to remember something. She then got an idea, and whispered it to him.
"She's small, very small. To deal any type of strong attacks, she will have to use the propulsion of her wings into a diving attack. If we manage to block or endure it, she will be staggered for a while before she can soar up again. And if this goes wrong..."
She goes up and picks something from her waist. It seemed like a pistol magazine, except it was blue instead of the normal black color. It also had a badly-drawn thunderbolt on it.
"We can zap her down from the skies."

Ciela turned to her new partner, looking up at him. Why did everyone have to be so tall... "Okay, so Vanessa's pretty good at ranged stuff, and she can defend way better than she might look. So if you can hit her super hard, she should be out. I don't know about the... really, really ig guy, but I'll deal with Chrohn. A flyer for a flyer, after all. There's no way he can keep up with me." She smiled, a competitive glint in her eye.

Kyle just put his left index finger on his temple. "Hmm. I can take Vanessa. But you're gonna need backup so that you wouldn't get shot down. So there's that.......A flanking maneuver? That sounds good. You take Chrohn, I'll take Vanessa."
He then sits and waits for any and all attacks, with his hands on his Daggers.

Ciela nodded, turning to face the others. Her wings snapped open and she floated about a foot into the air, one leg crooking and making her look an awful lot like a little ballet dancer in midair. "Ready when you are!"

His strategy was simple: Destroy the air support, then take your time picking apart what's left. Instead he turned the brief moments of quiet to fervent, silent prayers in his head, Un-Sevran, Ys-Ashema, Un-Prim, any of the numerous deities that came to mind as his mind flickered between the numerous possibilities of this fight. He was about to thrown in another prayer to Ys-Shaka when the flying one declared she was ready. Without a word he slid a magazine of rubber bullets into the handgun, taking a deep breath.
Well. It would be rude to keep them waiting, wouldn’t it? His arm snapped up, taking three rapid shots at the Ciela, two directly to the torso, followed by one aimed right between the eyes . Before swinging towards the other group with the sword spear, a giant, billowing gale surging towards them as he did so, tearing up dirt and stones as it moved.

Kyle sees that he was swinging at him with a wide swing towards them with the sword spear, a giant, billowing gale surging towards all of them! "Not happening, Skull-bro!" He jumps back to avoid the swing and he throws two strange looking Knives. "Get back!" After about two seconds they hit the ground near Stan, they then explode! (One fire, One Ice.) They make a makeshift Smokescreen. "Anyone got any plans? Cause I'd love to hear them!" He Draws two Black and Silver Daggers. One of them says, "Black" and the other, "Talons".
