Today was a big day for young Max! Normally the young hunter in training often practiced on his own to try and improve his skills but since he didn't want to get rusty he decided it was time for something different. The young hunter got dressed in his favorite black with white stripe suit, black tie and dress shoes and then quickly got his gear together. Max grabbed his ammo satchel and filled it with six clips each of fire, Ice and electricity low impact clips which each held 12 rounds each. He stuck three fire dust crystals and three ice dust crystals in his bag to use as grenades and then slipped his pistols inside his suit jacket inner pockets. Once his bag was packed, the young hunter slipped on his back harness where he would slip his skateboard when it wasn't in use. Once he had everything, Max jumped on his board and headed for the training field. As he skated, he let the cold air wash over him and flow through his hair, excitement building in him. "I wonder who I will get to fight today! I hope I don't get stuck fighting a short range fighter again. I hate having someone super close to me during a fight, makes it hard to skate around."It wouldn't take long for Max to reach the training field to find that it had somewhat of a small crowd thanks to the cold weather, which Max didn't really mind. That just meant that there were less people to get in the way of any fight that he would happen to get into. As he entered the training area, Max found a nice empty bench and quickly skated over to it and sat down, making sure to keep his feet on his board while rolling it side to side absent mindedly. Once he was comfortable, Max pulled his pistols out of his jacket pockets and popped out the chips. Usually Max chose to kept fire dust bullets in his pistols by default but today he decided he was going to try something different. The young hunters fighting style relied on his mobility while also robbing his foe of theirs be they hunter or Grimm. The way he achieved this was by skating around on his skateboard while using his ice dust bullets to either freeze his opponent in place or create ice patches on the ground to make it harder for them to move while it just made things all the easier for him. Another way he accomplished this was by using his lightning dust bullets to stun or temporarily paralyze his foe so that if he needed to he could activate his semblance and use his aura cannon technique. Max decided that today he was gonna use the seasons cold weather to his favor and so he reached into his satchel and pulled out two ice bullet clips which contained 12 bullets each and popped them into his pistols while slipping the two original clips back into his bag for later use. Once he pulled back the chambers of his pistols by resting them under his arms he just smiled and watched the crowd. "Bring it on someone."Dusty Ghrian

Dusty pulled slightly at Daybreaker's string as he stood across from a target in the training field's range. After a moment, he reached up and pulled an arrow from his quiver. No Dust or any special alterations. Just an arrow. Sometimes the basics were best, plus he didn't feel like burning up any of his Aura at the moment. The young archer notched the arrow onto Daybreaker's bowstring, taking a deep breath as he raised the bow and pulled back on the string. He slowly released his breath long and slow, staring down the shaft of his arrow through his glasses covered eyes. After another moment's pause, Dusty let the arrow fly with a quiet thwip.
The golden arrow speed through the air, though not nearly as fast as his Kinetic Dust arrows. It landed in the bulls eye of the target with a loud thwack, vibrating for a few seconds after it made impact. He pressed the button on Daybreaker's grip, breaking the bow apart into the twin daggers Ardu and Leagtha, and sheathing them into the scabbards on his back. He stretched his arms across his chest and made a few minor adjustments to his metal chestpiece and bracers, as well as tapping on the Glass and Steam dust bottles attached to his chest. Dusty walked briskly down the range towards the target. He grabbed the shaft of his arrow and, with a forceful tug, pulled it free from the Styrofoam and put it back with its 59 identical copies.
Dusty stretched his arms above his hands as he turned and walked away from the range before tucking his hands into his pockets. He glanced around at the other students as they fell on one boy who was slightly younger than him and stuck out with his black and white suit. The archer raised an eyebrow as he looked the younger man up and down for a moment. He looked like he was ready to spar someone and who was he to deny the guy. He waved at him as he walked a little bit closer with a smile. "Hi there," Dusty said cheerily. "You seem to be on the lookout for someone. Need any help finding them?"

Max couldn't help but smile a small smile as a rather tall blonde with glasses, bow and quiver of arrows walked up to him and asked him if he needed help finding someone. Max just smiled and stood up and began to twirl his chrome colored pistols in his hands so fast that they looked like chrome blurs as if it was normal. As he did so he just raised an eyebrow at the slightly older boy and decided to just skate over to where the combat area of the training facility was. Once he was on the right side of it, the young hunter stopped spinning his guns which now were being held upside down with his pinkies on the triggers.
"In fact you can my fine sir. My name's Max Chromium and I'm a first year. Normally I don't go actively looking for a fight but I have found myself in need of a little practice. I think your archery skills would be a good match against me and my twin pistols."
Max then just grinned a smooth grin as the rest of the students began to gather in small clumps in order to watch the fight. Some of the students began to whisper to others about Max, talking about things like how Max usually really fought other students unless openly challenged or how they didn't know what his semblance was as a result. If Max was honest with himself, all the whispers and hear say made him rather nervous but he knew that he needed to focus on the fight at hand. As he waited, he just popped his neck and rolled side to side on his board.
"I didn't catch your name stranger! Hopefully we'll both have fun with this fight. It's been quite awhile since I stretched my combat muscles."
(OOC: sorry it's so short.)

Dusty stared at the younger boy with a slightly amused look on his face. This kid was something else, with all the fancy pistol spinning and that really stupid looking way of holding them. He had only had a bit of practice with firearms, but he at least knew that shooting them in such a way was impractical. "Nice to meet you, Max, but I'll let you know that it'll take a lot more than pistols to stop me" Dusty replied with a chuckle. He drew Ardu from its scabbard and inspected the blade of the long knife for a moment, running his thumb along its sharp edge. "You can ask the Legion soldiers I fought a few months about that, if you're curious."
"Kick his ass, Dusty!" a voice shouted from the crowd that had gathered around them. A chorus of shouting and cheers rang of from the crowd, mostly from Dusty's classmates that had learned of his foolhardy exploits outside of the school. The young archer waved his hand to quiet his rowdy friends and classmates, smirking slightly as the shouting hushed down to a loud whisper. "The name's Dusty Ghrian and I'm certain we'll have lots of fun," he said, his eyes flashing mischievously as he drew Leagtha and snapped his knives together. Daybreaker formed in his hands. His fingers dashed across the screen of his metal gauntlet, punching in a series of arrows for use in his spar. "You know, at your typical school, the freshman are usually hazed. To see if they've got the mettle to stick it out with the big boys."
As he spoke, Dusty leaned down and spooped up a small, black ball from his own shadow, his blue irises turning jet black. "Let's call this your... he said, tossing the black ball up in his hand a few times. ...initiation." Dusty quickly tossed his Shadow Sight ball towards Max, aiming to quickly blind the younger boy before drawing his first arrow, an Earth one, and firing it directly beneath Max's skateboard. A stone pillar shot up from the ground, hopefully tossing Max right off of his feet and sending his skateboard flying.

Max just grinned as Dusty began to talk about how freshman were usually picked on to see if they had what it takes to fit in. It was true that Max was a freshman but on the other side of that coin, he was one of the first years with above average aura control, already having mastered his Semblance. As Dusty manipulated his very own shadow to create some kind of shadow orb in his hand while his eyes turned jet black. As Dusty said that this would be his initiation, Max made sure to keep an eye on the orb. "Let the fun begin then."As dusty threw the orb, Max decided that right after the orb went flying he would jump with his board while also leaning his body backward so that if needed, his board could be used as a shield. While he was in the air the young hunter heard the sound of an arrow being released which was followed by the sound of the Earth moving in some manner. As Max landed a foot away and he could once again see, he noticed that he just narrowly avoided being scewered by an Earth spike. This Made Max just smile. "Now that's just cool! Now it's my turn."Max then pushed his left foot off the ground and began racing toward Dusty on his board, As he did he very subtly aimed his two pistols at the left and right side of the ground of the foe and fired three shots from each Pistol to create connecting patches of ice on the ground. Max then just grinned and turned his direction slightly to skate on the right ice side, the ice making his board even faster. As he went to circle Dusty, he aimed his pistols at Dusty's feet and fired three more shots each to try and freeze him in place. Once he went to circle all the way back around to Dusty's front, he would try and do a kick flip to try and hit dusty in the head to disorient him. "You need to chill."Dusty GhrianActions done: fired 6/12 shots from each pistol to freeze the ground around dusty as well as try to freeze his feet so he could try and be hit with Max's board.

Dusty watched as Max raced towards him, before looking left and right at the growing ice patches that now surrounded him. He pulled a Steam dust bottle from his bandolier and tossed it on the ground, creating a large cloud that obscured his position. The archer dashed from his spot, drawing another Fire Dust arrows from his quiver. He fired them at three spots in Max's icy trail, melting it down and putting blockages in the younger boy's path. He drew two more arrows from his quiver, a Water and Energy arrow respectively, notched them, then broke out of his cloud. He quickly spotted Max and fired his arrows right in the boy's path, sending a wall of electrified water right at him.
"Welcome to the Splash Zone! You'll find it's quite a shocking experience!"

This guy was good! Not only did Dusty manage to blind him by using steam by combining his dusts but by the sound of the Ice heating up and evaporating, he had gone to work destroying the ice path that Max's pistols had made. As Mas got closer to where the ice was melting he could feel his board begin to shake under him causing his almost always perfect Balance to waver. As Max tried to stay on his board, he heard the familiar sound of a bow string being pulled back. This prompted Max to shut his eyes and let his ears guide him. "My parents run a weapons shop, I know the sound of most weapons by heart!"As he heard the arrows begin to fly, Max quickly turned his body separate from the board towards the noise, jumped up with his board and used his foot to kick it through the air like a projectile. Max didn't know how many arrows there were but he could tell by the sound of the wind that there was more then one so sadly all Max could do was focus on his aura and thicken it around him to block the lightning arrow as it bounced off his aura. The young hunter didn't escape without damage however, the shot of the arrow sent him flying back a few feet where he landed flat on his back with a groan. "Oh you think you're funny huh? Bring it on archer!"Max just grinned and hopped back to his feet and popped his neck. He then braced himself and broke into a fast run. While he ran, he quickly fetched an ice dust crystal out of his bag and made sure to keep it hidden under his arm. As the young duel weilder tried to move in close, he threw the dust crystal out in front of him and shot it with a round of his left pistol causing a combination Ice Ramp and small ice wall. As Max closed in on the ramp he quickly turned his body sideways so he slid up the ramp as if he were on his board. Once he was high in the air, he aimed both of his pistols down toward the ground and unleashed a heavy onslaught of rounds toward his foe until both clips were empty. As Max landed, he huffed and grinned and hoped that as the frost cleared his foe would be frozen still. "I don't need my board to win this fight frosty."(Both current clips emptied after using 1 shot in combo with an ice dust crystal to make a ramp.) Dusty Ghrian

Dusty cursed as his Water arrow ricocheted off of Max's board, falling uselessly off to the side, but still grinned as the younger boy was launched back by his Energy arrow. He straightened into a standing position, stretching his arms across his chest to keep loose. He adjusted his glasses as he studied the fallen fighter, a small smirk on his face. "Having a weapon is only half the battle, you know," Dusty said as Max jumped back to his feet. He kept an eye on the younger boy as Max ran towards him and created a huge icy ramp, prompting Dusty to pull two Glass bottles from his bandolier. As Max crested over the top of the ramp, Dusty lifted the bottles above his head and crushed them together, creating a thick glass barrier around him. Bullets flew into the half sphere around him, but couldn't break through the six inch Aura backed glass, embedding themselves into the barrier and causing cracks to spread around their entry points.
Dusty looked between the different bullets, then at the distorted image of Max on the other side of his barrier. "I do like to think of myself as a comedian," he replied, still smirking. He hoped that Max would be as equally unable to see him and wouldn't notice Dusty's shift to a pure black color. Slowly, a large hand began to rise up out of Max's shadow as the archer continued to talk. "I've been known to pull some pretty funny pranks that scare people. Want a little demonstration?"
As the young man finished his last sentence, the large hand moved to grab Max and hold him in place with a strong grip. Dusty let his Glass barrier shatter as he dashed towards his opponent, drawing a Kinetic arrow and breaking the head on his right boot as he did. The purple liquid spread across his foot as he twisted and delivered a high powered kick aimed at Max's chest, his shadow hand turning intangible as Dusty's foot approached its target.

Damn this guy was smart! Dusty had managed to use glass dust to create a protective barrier between him and Max's ice bullets which while annoying was rather smart which Max had to respect. As Dusty began to speak about being funny and being a prankster, Max just silently popped the empty clips out of his pistols and quickly replaced them with a fire clip in his left pistol and a lightning clip in his right. As Dusty spoke about a demonstration, Max looked down and saw a shadowy hand go to grab his leg. Thanks to the reflexes that he had acquired from being a skateboarder Max was able to do a quick back flip out of the hands reach, sadly that wouldn't save him from the kineticly charged foot which hit him in the chest sending him flying back. "Ooof!"After flying back a few feet, Max managed to curl his body into a ball and rotate it to where he landed on his feet and made himself skid to a stop. He then forced his body straight despite the pain he felt. Luckily his aura took on most of the hit but quite a fair bit of it, Max felt himself and he wasn't happy about it at all. Luckily the young hunter had a plan! His foe couldn't fire more of his blasted arrows if he was stuck on the defensive! Max just popped his neck to the side and then broke into a fast run. As he ran, he quickly dug a fire crystal and a lightning crystal out of his bag with a smirk. He then threw the flame crystal straight at his foe and aimed his left pistol at the crystal while it was in the air shooting it to cause an explosion. Right after that was done, Max chucked the lightning crystal as far as he could so that it would land behind Dusty as a sort of stun mind. Once it landed, Max shot it with a round from his right pistol to set off the trap that hopefully Dusty would have jumped back into to evade the explosion. "I am far from out of tricks!"As Max rushed for his now hopefully paralyzed foe, he fired three shots from each pistol to both further stun his foe while also doing fire damage. He needed to keep his foe stunned so that he couldn't focus on his shadow tricks or knock arrows! Max knew that his new friend was powerful so if he had too, he would unleash his Aura Cannons. Dusty Ghrian Actions: Clips replaced, a fire clip in the left, lightning clip in the right. Two crystals used, fire crystal and lightning crystal for a distraction and a stun. bullets used: 4/12 each.

Dusty watched Max fly back from the force of his kick, tapping away at his bracer and setting up his next set of arrows. This kid was a tenacious one and he needed to make sure that the kid wouldn't be able to get the jump on him. He watched the gunman closely as he dashed towards him, catching the motion of his hands towards his bag. The crystals just left the younger boy's hands when the archer made his own move. Dusty drew an Earth arrow from his quiver and spun it around in his hand before slamming it down into the ground and creating an large earthen wall between him and Max. The crystals and bullets smashed and bounced harmlessly off of the wall as Dusty drew a second Earth arrow from his quiver and stabbed it into the center of the wall, sending a column of stone towards the gunman.
"I think you should look into a new bag," Dusty replied as he rolled out from behind the wall and dashed towards Max. He pressed the button on Daybreaker's grip, snapping the bow into his twin knives, Ardu and Leagtha. He ran up to the boy, sliding on his knees and slashing at Max's bag strap with one blade and trying to trip the kid up with his other hand. "You're tricks are getting a little stale!"
