Born in a city of Legion, Raven lived a rather normal life as a child with his older sister, Jackie even if his family had a long legacy of being proud hunters and huntresses by tradition. However, living within the safety of the walls often his drew curiosity of what the outside was like. Beg as he might to his parents, they always told him that the Grimm were out there. They always told him that they were creatures without conscious, would mercilessly maim, and even kill any defenseless people upon their wake. Wanting to see and set his foot into the outside world, the boy aspired to be a hunter at a young age and enrolled into the Vytal academy as soon as he could even if his parents went against his decisions to do so.
Unlike many, however, Raven didn't have any particular talent to start off with. His overall academic and physical parameters came out all around average unlike his Jackie, but his ability to effectively hold his own in a fight considerably well gave him high enough scores from his tutors. Though he was a bit rough around the edges, he was noted as a strong fighter who was worth polishing. In time, he and his sister eventually graduated from the training and went off to forging weapons of their own. His parents, however, already had a design for the two in mind to suit their fighting style. His sister was given a blueprint of a multi-purpose long sword, suited for her style to power through the opponents.
Raven on the other hand was given a blueprint for pair of gauntlets: Hound and Hellhound. Though the majority of the materials were quite in abundance in Legion, certain metals, for the amplification device had to be found in the wilds where ruins of the old kingdoms laid waste in. For that, the boy had set off into the wild lands where it was teeming with Grimm. However, the he was not alone. With his parents accompanying him every step of the way, they taught him the ways to properly defend himself from incoming attacks, pointing out the faults in his stances, and how to close the breaches within his defensive guards. Though harsh, it was an enjoyable time for Raven.
However, on a particular night, the encampment that he'd set up was ambushed by a large group of Grimm. Though their numbers were many, Raven armed himself with a weapon, and engaged himself into a battle, ferociously defending himself in order to save himself. Without any real experience in a true life-or-death combat, Raven quickly found himself overwhelmed and was gravely wounded in midst of the fight. Unfortunately, his parents had stepped in a little too late, as they too, were occupied by the great number of Grimm that surrounded them. This resulted in the boy losing not only his arm, but also his ability to speak.
If it weren't for his mother's semblance putting him in a near suspended animation between life and death, Raven's life would've ended there. However, even to the experienced hunters such as them, the couple were overwhelmed by the Grimm's massive numbers. His father, however, managed to carry the boy off to a hospital before he too finally fell from the infection of his wounds.
After a year of careful and intricate procedures by the doctors, he finally came to - only to find that he was in a hospital bed, unable to speak. His sister was at his side, blaming him for the deaths of their family, spewing all of the pent up hatred and anger on him before she slapped him across the face. In turn, he too blamed himself for the deaths of his parents, but instead of letting his own despair derail him, Raven determined that he would never let something like this happen to him again - or anybody else. With his rage and hatred empowering him, the young man decided to get back up on his feet as soon as he could and continue down his fated path.
Though unable to speak and without a left arm that he could work with, his efforts to be a hunter himself didn't go unnoticed. It wasn't long before their aunt managed to catch the news of the deaths of their parents, and took the two under her wing as their legal guardian. By that time, his sister was already ahead of him by months. She had already developed her weapon, and was progressing rapidly.
Thanks to his aunt, and her connection within the kingdom of Legion, she put together a prosthetic arm for him. However, knowing that the prosthesis itself won't be enough to support him in combat, the young man took the blueprint of the 'Hellhound' and modified it considerably so that his arm itself would be the weapon that he long dreamed of, and later, created 'Hound'. With these two weapons, Raven reentered the academy with flying colors on his grades. Teachers were impressed, that despite his disabilities, he was capable of overcoming them - though, unlike before, he was much prone to anger even at slightest provocations from others since the day the only remaining family member grew to hate him. For that, he'd lost many friends, and without his ability to speak, the boy grew more and more isolated, longing to be with his older sister again, to be close to her and go back the times when they were a family.

Semblance:
An inherited semblance which passed down through Clovis' family through several generations, often gifting the ability to their first born. It took on different names, as well as shapes depending on the user. For Raven's semblance, the ability revolves around making a wide variety of bladed weapons from his imagination to devastate his opponents in battle, and it has an odd crimson glow that sometimes resemble blood. It includes, but not limited to: Swords, Great Swords, Lances, Spears, Polearms, Scythes, and Battle Axes. However, like any works, the quality of his forging differs depending on the usage of his aura:
Uncharged (10 aura points): The uncharged weapons, unlike its charged versions only have basic shapes of a weapon, but often ending in an effect that Raven calls the: 'hollowed interior' which causes it to shatter and disappear after a single use. Though it can easily cut, wound his opponents much like any normal weapons and cleave through most low-to-mid grade military metal with relative ease, it does nowhere near as much damage compared to its fully-charged counterparts. However, this ability allows him to immediately follow up with different kind of attacks, and its cost-effective solution makes it most commonly used by Raven.
Full-Charge (20 aura points): Unlike its much weaker brother counterpart, the fully-charged works often take longer time to form, but it does twice the more damage which allows him to cut, and even pierce through high-grade military armor plates. In addition, it doesn't disappear after a single use, allowing him to prolong its usage in battle if needed, and immediately change its shape in accordance to the situation he finds himself in.
Overcharged (10 + x aura points): The Overcharged weapons are by far the deadliest. They take on a form of any other normal weapons that he may produce, but he often calls these the 'monster killers', because - well, they are made to absolutely destroy the kinds of things or objects that cannot be destroyed by normal means, or with his fists alone. Surprisingly, the overcharged weapons can be formed almost instantaneously because it stems from its uncharged version of his weapons, but since it's essentially overloaded with his aura, it is actually an unstable mass of solidified energy and causes tremendous explosion after a single use. As such, he usually limits them to throwing weapons like spears or javelins in order to use it from a long range over hand-held weapons such as swords or axes (though it can be done, it is unlikely for him to form any overcharged weapons to use it at such close proximity).
Depending on how much aura he puts into the overcharged weapons, the damage of the explosions can vary from being able to easily leveling a street car to being able to easily demolish heavily fortified buildings.
If needed, Raven can tap into the deepest part of his soul in order to further amplify the damage done by his semblance-made weapons far beyond its normal capabilities [20 points for activation]. The 'Enhancer' causes a massive burst of aura to exude from his body, and turn his hair white as long as this booster is in its active state. but it will continuously sap away at his aura the longer it remains active [10 points per minute].
