A few months ago....He shifted in his seat uncomfortably. If there was anything that made vehicles like these uncomfortable, it was the fact that the seats barely had any cusioning to support the weight of the driver and the passangers. It for the 'budget cuts', the chief said, so they designed cars like these for maximum protection of the officers while cutting any forms of luxury they had in it. Alburn couldn't complain. This metal beast saved him from being turned into one of those 'swiss cheese' that the other guys talked about more times than he could possibly count, even if this was a test model. He then turned the key to shut the engine off, but left the radio on. Lately, he'd heard a strange criminal called the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' was causing a bit of problem in the area. Some had allegidly claimed that she could be a member of a White Fang - a human sympathizer for an extremist terrorist group for Faunus' rights. However, after reading some of the reports, Alburn couldn't help but think that White Fang wouldn't take in humans. Their form of hatred towards humans at best was simply too much to take in any help from anybody else that wasn't part of them. The case of 'Red-Eyed Maiden' was something that Alburn read every once in a while with mild interest, but he focused on his daily duties to make sure there weren't any problems in the neighborhood. Daily patrols, making sure people weren't speeding, crossing on red lights, and all that. Being a police officer certainly wasn't the glory work that a lot of people were expecting. Most of the days, they were peaceful, so much so that the only thing that Alburn could possibly think of passing his time was simply staring at the white clouds passing by over his head while being held prisoner inside of his own car. The other days---"Radio to Jackson 255." That was his cue. Alburn picked up the radio, "522 Highway 20 and 50. Go ahead." "We have a report of a 10-50 at a cargo port 5km North East from your position. There is a report of an explosion from a civilian, two fatally injured on the streets. Expect the worst. We have other officers and ambulances enroute to the position." "10-4. Enroute." Alburn turned the keys and went full throttle with sirens blazing. --- Strangely, Alburn was first on the scene. He could feel the belligerent heat against his skin as he stepped out of his car after notifying the radio that he was in position. As per report, he also saw a man and woman injured with their life blood staining the once grey streets reds. The wounds on their bodies were enormous. Something big and sharp obviously ran through their bodies, and the location was precise enough leave a sort of wound that could kill a person within a few seconds. This was a work of practiced killer, one who held a weapon for the majority of their lives. In addition, the cargo port at this part of the city was known for exporting dusts. If that was the case then.... His eyes narrowed at the grim realization. With his hand wrapped around the gunblade's hilt, Alburn charged headlong into the forest of inferno alone. ▲

AND THE SCARS REMIND ME THAT THE PAST IS REAL 寂しい 。。。 This was exactly what she had been trained for. Day after day, month after month. Enduring a lifetime of torturous mind-washing methods had shaped Coquel into what was supposed to be the perfect killing machine. Unfortunately, the White Fang’s efforts were in vain. Training among the Cela Monasteries had allowed Coquel to endure whatever they - the people she had considered her best friends at one point - had to throw at her. They were Faunus, people she believed would never do her wrong. Adversity brought them together, but their hatred would be their undoing. It was only a matter of time. Once their time ran out… Coquel chuckled under her breath, looking around the armored van that carried her and a handful of other Fang operatives. These were her underlings, to say the least. People put under her charge, people that were counting on her to get them out alive. As the infamous Red-eyed Maiden, she was responsible for coordinating some of the most devastating attacks on Legion’s government. The name the media gave her quickly became her call-sign, with some who worked with her simply referring to her as “REM” or “Remmy” - neither of which bothered her. They didn’t know her true name, and giving them a distraction from digging was a necessity of sorts. Each of them wore all black, their faces covered by matching balaclavas that only revealed their eyes. This was a staple for the team, never revealing their faces - ever. Coquel preferred the sense of mystery, believing it the only thing truly keeping them all safe. If they didn’t know what each other looked like, what their names were, then no one could snitch. A younger recruit, fresh off the boat from Menagerie, was sitting at Quel’s side. An assault rifle in hand, he trembled nervously as the van bumped. “It’s just the port, kid. Relax,” She said under her breath, nudging the kid with her elbow. “We’ll make sure you get home in one piece.”The boy nodded, drawing in a sharp breath before slumping in his seat. Comfort was what some of these men needed. Unfortunately, Coquel wasn’t interested in comforting them. She just wanted to get this job done and get home. Elijah was waiting for her. He was waiting for her. She shook her head, trying to shake away the sudden urge to slip into a daydream. Good way to wind up dead, that daydreaming. Tugging leather gloves from her back pocket, Coquel slipped her hands into them and gripped the handle of her sword. It was time. The signal, an explosion, sounded. The foot soldiers within the van poured out, with Quel leading from the front. Two guards that had wandered by to inspect the van were her first targets. Part of her Semblance flared, pummeling one of the men down with a flurry of sonic blasts. Once he was down, her sword pieced through his back and pinned him to the ground. The other man ran, frantic at best. Quel’s head tilted to the side, watching the man curiously. Once he was far enough, she dashed forward at incredible speed. The last thing the man saw before her blade pierced his heart was smoke rising from the sky. With a flick of her blade, Quel sheathed Daedalus before turning towards the compound that was now in flames. ’Great.’ She thought, her eyes rolling. Signaling for her team to follow, the group entered the building and went to work gathering the spoils of their attack - Void Dust. I TEAR MY HEART OPEN, JUST TO FEEL MADE BY ★MEULK Alburn Redgrave

| TAKE ME TO VALHALLA WHERE MY BROTHERS WAIT FOR ME | |
The heat of the inferno stung Alburn's skin as he sprinted through the hungry waves of hellpyre that threatened to simply swallow him alive. In the distance, he heard silencing of potential witnesses in a form of series of thunderous gunshots that rang throughout the harbor. Those that were here weren't exactly afraid to make their presence known - in fact, it almost seemed as if they WANTED to be heard, make their statement loud and clear, that nothing could possibly stop them from wrecking havoc to do whatever is that they were doing. The devastation was clear, and the scale of the attack could only possibly lead to the work of White Fangs. A skilled hunter he may be, he knew going up against a large group of them would simply be a suicide. Still, he needed to buy time somehow until the backup got here. Tuning his radio, Alburn started report the situation: "Jackson 255 to radio. We've got multiple armed hostiles, number unknown. Sound is from Legion's military-grade assault rifles. Possible wounded civilians on the scene. Send in a SWAT team, now." "On it, Jackson 255. Calling SWAT." As Alburn turned to the corner, the hunter's eyes spied on two women, armed with assault rifles in their hands. He knew their uniforms, he knew the pale-white masks of grinning skulls that resembled a wolf. Before he could hide himself behind a wall, they took notice of his position and fired, calling the other members to join the frenzy. In response, black-clad hunter quickly rolled to the side and hid himself behind a cover, but not without feeling a line of pain slicing across his shoulder. Fortunately, it was no more than a light scratch, but it'd take more than that to faze him. With other members of the White Fang closing on his position, the man knew he couldn't stay hidden forever from their rain of lead that poured in his direction. He had to respond with deadly force. "Jackson 255 to Radio, hostiles are using deadly force! Requesting permission to respond." A second later. "Jackson 255, you're clear to use deadly force on hostiles." Pulling his thumb down on the hammer, the hunter took a deep breath and rested his finger against the trigger. When he heard the sound of their suppression fire running out, Alburn immediately stepped out of the cover, rested Second Sun's blade against his shoulder and pulled the trigger. The blast of cyclone suddenly propelled the hunter through the field of broken and twisted metal at high speeds, making him look as if he were literally 'flying' across the battlefield. The members of the White Fang had little time to reload their weapons, especially the one in the front. He seemed to have more trouble than the others in particular - so Alburn took it upon himself to land an easy kill. "Hah-!" The heavy blade passed through the soldier's mask much easier than he'd expected. The silver edge smashed into the top part of the skull like a what a sledge hammer do to an egg, passed through soft tissues and gray membranes. Before the White Fang member could possibly register what was happening, the blade had already done so much damage to the brain that the young man's heart simply stopped functioning. Lights out.Alburn then moved onto the next hostile, this one just finished reloading. It took no more than a second for the rifle's magazine to meet the feed, but by the time the bullet could possibly meet the bolt carrier, the hunter was already on top of her. The blade met against her body with absolute brute force like a driver of a drunken pickup truck slamming into a deer. The bloodied silver blade cleaved through her armor, shattering the bones and slicing the internal organs alike like a meat grinder. Click. Twisting on the ball of his feet, Alburn turned to the next target. Shots were fired, but the bullets only slammed against their still-breathing comrade, causing her to quickly stop breathing after a scream of pain and curses at Alburn. The officer then threw the sack of meat at the remaining member, the two fell and he finished the remaining foe with a quick, lethal impale through their bodies. Hostiles were clear, but there was still one in the area that he registered as a main suspect. A woman, her eyes were crimson, glowing in bewitching ruby color that shined in the angry inferno that surrounded them. Normal men couldn't possibly stare at those eyes without losing their rationality, simply because they were too beautiful. He could certainly see where she got the moniker of 'Red-Eyed Maiden' from. The woman was armed, and the blood on her great sword told him after a quick deduction that lasted no more than a second that she was the murderer of the two guards earlier. Quickly, the officer shifted his stance, his weapon raised upfront, his legs spread apart at an even length for stable footwork. It was a relatively balanced stance that he'd mastered after seemingly endless hours of drills and practice, well-suited for frontal guards. "This is LPD (Legion Police Department). Put your weapon down, now." It wasn't a request, it was a command, but somewhere in Alburn's mind, he had a feeling - no, knew that the Red-Eyed Maiden would not be willing to cooperate. -- Remaining Usage for Rounds in Chamber -- - 1x Red; (3/3) - 2x Green; (5/6) Active- 1x Black; (3/3) - 2x Orange; (6/6) ▲

AND THE SCARS REMIND ME THAT THE PAST IS REAL 寂しい 。。。 As the crew went to work stuffing Void Dust gems into their large packs, Coquel looked around at the inferno raging around them. It was a big explosion, one that would undoubtedly catch the attention of the authorities. Whether or not that was the upper brass’s intention, she did not know. Regardless of the case, it was a small factor that made her more than nervous. She hoped that everyone else would remain on edge as well. As she finished stuffing the last of the Dust into her duffel-bag, Coquel heard the sounds of her comrades being attacked. Unflinching, she watched as the unsuspecting visitor made quick work of the first foot-soldier. Disappointing, she thought, that this man was willing to cut a man down without giving him a fair chance to fight. Her eyes narrowed, analyzing the man’s movements as he passed from one target to the next. In fact, she almost smiled as she watched him tear through her allies with ease. As he cleared the room of all but her, Coquel couldn’t help but smirk. This was going to be fun. As he stood there, watching her, she sheathed her sword. He looked like he was ready for a fight. But all she did was stand there, staring back directly into his eyes. For a moment, she felt an odd spark between the two of them. This man was powerful, and brave to boot. Who was he, exactly? And why was he here? Quel remind silent as she pondered, soaking in every single second as the two of them stood and stared one another down. He was far more brave than the men she had fought in the past, even keeping his composure in her presence where others did not. It was…admirable, to say the very least. The order to drop her weapon came, despite the fact she had sheathed it beforehand. She had never been ordered to do anything before. Though hidden by the mask, she couldn’t help smirking at the order. This man truly was brave. “You’ll never be able to touch me, you know.” She said in a calm tone. “You’ll learn that soon enough.” Without a moments hesitation, Coquel pulled the mask from her face, her hair golden hair waving freely in the draft caused by the flames dancing around them. “I don’t want to hurt you, sir.” She said, slowly moving her hand to the hilt of her sword. “I don’t want to hurt anyone. I just want to leave.” Her gaze narrowed, becoming almost threatening as she stared at the man. A quick pull on the hilt of her sword, and Daedalus emerged in all its glory - a sword slightly longer than the red-eyed girl stood tall. A pommel was already equipped, of the Energy variety. She was ready to fight. She was ready to take this man down if need be. Was he ready to die…if need be? Neither fighters dared to give even an inch of their ground as their eyes met one another in a deadlock. It almost seemed as if the all form of time stopped for the two, even as the raging inferno surrounded them, hungrily consuming everything in its fiery maws within the deafening silence. Nothing could truly disturb them. Between a meeting of skilled warriors, all that truly mattered was the opponent in front of them - and for Alburn, facing down this so-called 'Red-Eyed Maiden' he'd heard so much about, felt something strange welling up inside him that he couldn't exactly... tell. However, this peculiar encounter made his heart beat faster than the time than the his first true combat experience. Then, the woman spoke, and broke the deafening silence between them. He wouldn't be able to touch her, she said, that he'd soon see why. Confident - if not smug Alburn thought. A slight smirk, almost as if to ask 'Oh really?' creased across his usual, stoic features before fading away just as quickly as it appeared. She then did something that wasn't so common of masked criminals that he had the privilege of bringing in. The 'Red-Eyed Maiden' removed her mask, showing her pale features. It was almost a shame that he'd have to bloody the woman, but was she that truly confident about taking him down? To think that she'd go as far as to remove the mask. The woman was interesting, to say the least. “I don’t want to hurt you, sir. I don’t want to hurt anyone. I just want to leave.”"You're a bad liar," Alburn spun the cylinder and cocked the hammer of his gunblade back, "And you're not leaving here until I cuff your hands so I can take you back for questioning. Now if you don't put down your weapon, then I will make you." He then would point the Second Sun directly in the direction of his foe - almost as if he was getting ready to shoot. Given that there was no barrel on the blade itself, many of his opponents misassumed that he couldn't attack them from longer range, but by the time they realized - it was too late. Would it be the same for the 'Red-Eyed Maiden'? Alburn didn't think so. He knew a skilled fighter when he saw one, and she certainly wouldn't make the same mistakes that many of his opponents have made in the past, but this was no more than a distraction. --- Click. The trigger was pulled, the hammer slammed into the Dust Bullet as it fed itself into the blade. Sparks flew where the feed was connected to the blade itself, causing it to turn red hot like the surface of the sun nanoseconds after the Red Dust was smashed into the heavy blade. It caught on fire, but it did more than that. Followed by a sound of gunshot, the belligerent inferno shot out of the odd weapon like a tidal wave, threatening to mercilessly burn away all existence of the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' and fill her world with fire. Using this as a cover, Alburn would jump, coming down directly on top of the woman with his blade swinging downwards with more than enough force to cleave her fragile skull in half with his flaming Gunblade. That marked the start of their battle. -- Remaining Usage for Rounds in Chamber -- - 1x Red; (2/3) Active- 2x Green; (5/6) - 1x Black; (3/3) - 2x Orange; (6/6) AP: 650/650 ▲

Don’t fall too far from who you are 寂しい 。。。 A bad liar, huh? Coquel smirked at the officer’s response. She had been called many things in her time, but a bad liar was not one of them. None of that mattered now, though. While watching him pull back the hammer of his weapon, Coquel’s mind went to work analyzing what her next move would be. She admired his courage, his resolve to take her in. Unfortunately, that was about to prove to be a far more difficult task than he probably imagined. There was a reason she was almost legendary in the streets. If he wanted to take her anywhere, he’d have to kill her first. Now that the man aimed his weapon towards her, Quel knew they had reached that point where it was too far to turn back. He had settled on his task, and was willing to see it thought. To die if he had to. Again, it was something Quel found admirable. Few, if any, displayed such resolve in the face of adversity. Even though she was small compared to her opponent, the chips were stacked against him. The likelihood that both of them walked away from this battle alive was, for the most part, slim to none. Maybe she’d have to go easy on him. Maybe. The click of the hammer dropping struck her ears, strongly contrasting the whipping of the fire. It seemed, to her, that he was expecting her to not see this kind of attack coming. Luckily, Coquel had watched as he made quick work of her team moments ago. Despite not knowing the exact functions of his weapon, Coquel was able to assume enough based on those crucial bits of time. She flexed her body to the side, moving away just enough to be out of the flaming wave’s path, but still close enough to feel its heat against her face. He was quick, but not quick enough. Coquel spotted him as he jumped into the air, intent on using the distraction of the wave as cover. ‘Not bad.’ She thought, smirking as she watched him descend. Raising her arm, the blade of Daedalus met his. The sound of the metal clashing rang like a bell, and for a split second Coquel’s red eyes peered into his. It was almost as if she were staring into her soul, a stare that some people had described as being intense much like the flames surrounding them. She had prepared for this, though. Immediately following their weapons meeting, Coquel activated her Semblance’s Second Void. Out of complete nothingness, a heavy sonic blast struck her opponent square in the chest. Taking this into account, the First Void flared up and pushed her backward with great speed, putting distance between them once again. Readying for a followup attack, Coquel began contemplating whether or not to unleash the next step to her Semblance. Gallows, as she called it, had driven many of her adversaries to insanity. Then again, she had never fought someone so focused on bringing her in before. There was a strange sense of humanity that disappeared when all you wanted to do was kill, but wanting to take an opponent alive? There were times where Coquel would think about home, about her father and how admirable he would find such qualities. “It’s not every day you’ll meet another person willing to give up so much for so little,” he would say. “It is those people that, despite being so small, will make the biggest difference.”Was that it, then? Was this officer trying to make a difference? Try to tear us apart but know that we’ll wear our scars MADE BY ★MEULK

Alburn felt the violent vibrations of metal slamming into one another in his arms. Sparks flew, the blades fought against one another, struggling to push each other back. For her size - and weight, she effectively managed to block the strike so easily. He was wrong to assume that he had advantage over her in terms of physique - but after clashing blades with her once, he knew his adversary was far stronger than he first imagined. They were even in strength, something that he found surprising. The 'Red-Eyed Maiden' was a legend in the underground world, the whispers of her name sent deathly tremors throughout the city like a end time's harbinger. There was definitely a good reason for that - he could feel it in his soul. His eyes narrowed, and shifted the strength in his arms to force her blade up to create an opening within her guard, but before he could truly execute his assault, something SLAMMED into his chest. It was like a sledgehammer. He could feel his rib creaking under the tremendous force that battered into him, and immediately, he found himself flying through the air, losing control of his body like a ragdoll before his back smashed against the concrete wall, causing a crater to form from the location he crashed into. Thankfully, his body seemed to take notice of the danger, and his aura was immediately brought out to mitgate the damage done to his body as much as possible. Even so, Alburn felt his world spinning as his lungs desperately gasped for air that it needed. "Ha - ha.... Damn it...." What was that? Alburn could only think as he attempted to get his bearings together. Was this the nature of 'Red-Eyed Maiden's' power? If so - then this was going to get more complicated than he'd expected. As he got up, the male could see the shift in woman's speed. She was faster than the first time he saw her swing that weapon of hers. Much faster. It made him question the nature of her abilities. When he felt something slamming into his chest, he heard something that he could only so much describe it as a 'loud bomb going off' in his ears. He had to figure it out. Whether he came out of this battle alive or not rided on this fact. However, since the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' was so kind enough to give a taste of her own ability, it was only natural that Alburn would show his own. After taking a brief stance, the male dragged his weapon down on the ground, its silver blade creating sparks and loud 'screech' as it sliced through the concrete and rocks. It was then when he activated his aura, The Railgun, Primary Barrel. His movements seemed to slow down for a fraction of a second, almost labored to a point that he wouldn't be able to fight anymore. But for the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' to judge that was the case would only lead to a fatal mistake. Then, Alburn disappeared - simply leaving afterimage of himself from where he once stood. Immediately, the male appeared right in front of her, with his gunblade raised in the air, smashing it down at such a speed that it could only be described as no more than a 'blur'. Whether it connected or not - he disappeared again, and continously darted around the woman in such a way that she'd simply have no idea where he'd come from - even with her unnatural speed Alburn would absurdly be too fast for her eyes, and body to keep up. The male seemingly assaulted her from multiple directions at once, all strikes deliberate and targeted at the vulnerable, open points of her body in whirlwind of slashes to imprison her on the very spot she stood. Slamming.
Chopping. Slashing. Grinding. Eventually, the male would then appear in midair, activating the Secondary Barrel of his Railgun. Inferno from all around gathered at a single point of his weapon in a focused angry orb of pure, unadulterated destruction. With a loud roar, he swung the blade at his foe. Then, like a tidal wave blasting forth, a large tsunami of red death rained down on the 'Red-Eyed Maiden'. It washed over the surroundings, consuming everything within its hungry maws. -- Remaining Usage for Rounds in Chamber -- - 1x Red; (1/3) Active- 2x Green; (5/6) - 1x Black; (3/3) - 2x Orange; (6/6) AP: 600/650 ▲

DON’T FALL TOO FAR FROM WHO YOU ARE 寂しい 。。。 A crooked smile formed as she watched her opponent fly back, struck dead on by her sonic blast. He handled it well, all things considered. Despite that, the aftermath of him slamming against the concrete wall stirred up a sense of worry within. She was all about this fight, ready to end him if she absolutely had to, so why worry about hitting a wall? Perhaps it was the motherly instinct she had developed from all her time at the Monasteries. Whatever the case, she quickly shook the thoughts out of her head before returning all her attention to her opponent. Hopefully he would not underestimate her a second time. As the battle unfolded, Coquel had formulated an idea as to how things would go from here on out. However, she hadn’t accounted for whatever the officer’s Semblance was, and to see it used against her put the young woman in the hot seat. As he charged at her, he seemingly disappeared. Going fast, obviously. ‘Damn!’ She cursed in her mind. Luckily for her, First Void was active and lingering invisibly in the air. This was the most dangerous aspect of her Aura’s true power, how impossible it was to track compared to many others. This was what made the Red-eyed Maiden such a dangerous adversary. She was, by most counts, a ghost. An afterimage lingering in her opponent’s place, Coquel braced herself for an unseen attack. First Void lingered in the air, her senses tuned to everything within its radius. If she was lucky, it would catch his movements and give her a cue. Regardless of that, she knew that he was moving too fast for her to respond with her sword. An advantage, had she ever seen one. It was a little exciting, to say the least. Her heart raced, her blood warm from the latter and the heat of the fire. She smiled, joyously, with anticipation for what was to come. Then she saw it, a flicker in the air. This was her opponent’s body moving through the medium that was her Void. Faster than she could ever raise her weapon, Coquel braced and channeled her Aura into a small barrier, a basic technique picked up during her time with the monks. Surely, whoever he was, he was familiar. Her formal Hunter training, and beyond, likely gave her an edge over this man. But that was inference, as she knew very little about his background. As he flashed between attacks, she responded with small barriers to defend her from the blows. They were strong enough to push her back, but she remained on her feet throughout. During all that time, she asked herself questions. Why were they fighting? What kind of person was he outside the battlefield? Things like that and more. Pretty boring stuff, in her opinion. A massive attack, a wall of fire, pulled her back to the fight at hand. With quick thinking, she switched out the Energy pommel with an Ice one before casting a massive wave of ice at the impending inferno. Ice and fire clashed, the latter melting the former before it fizzled out. Steam filled the battlefield, providing cover for either of them. In the chaos, pieces of the building began falling from the ceiling. Things were getting interesting. | TAKE ME TO VALHALLA WHERE MY BROTHERS WAIT FOR ME | |
Unknowningly, a small smile started to form on Alburn's face each time his foe blocked his strike. He'd had faced off against numerous opponents in his career not only as a Police Officer, but as well as a hunter; however, out of all the opponents, they didn't quite match up to the 'Red-Eyed Maiden'. The battle made his heart race, faster than any encounters he'd gotten himself into. He could feel his life at danger, and if he wavered - even just for a second, he felt like he'd be killed. The officer would have to pull out all the stops, all the knowledge that he'd accumulated from his experiences, but nothing could've possibly prepared him for an encounter like this. A long time ago, he remembered what his father had once said to him: 'All things that happen in your life, and the people you encounter, there is a reason. Never forget that'. It was a rather fatalistic view point, but at times like these, Alburn couldn't help but think that this encounter, this strange meeting was perhaps fated.
Then, as the waves of inferno raced towards her, the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' suddenly shifted something at the end of her weapon. A pommel? Alburn's eyes narrowed as his mind snapped itself back into the conflict at hand. The woman's weapon seemed to be able to change its property - rather its ability by switching out the end of her sword for something else. How troublesome, Alburn couldn't help but think as he saw powers of nature clashed into each other for dominance - but in the end, the two effectively cancelled each other out, causing a large steam to appear on their battleground. Not only that, their battle seemed to have done so much to the building that it simply decided to collapse on itself.
"Shit,"
One of the cardinal rules of the battlefield: Never take your eyes off of the opponent. The steam, effectively not only provided his opponent with an annoying visual cover, but also him with enough to think things through before he made his next move. Using the moment he had to his advantage, Alburn shot himself out of the hole that the structure had during the process of its destruction and landed on top of the large, loading crane which gave him an effective bird's eye view of the entire battlefield. The building was right below him, burning, then finally exploding after taking so much damage from their battle. For now, he had time to think, reoganize his thoughts, formulate some sort of... strategy. Anything that could help him overcome this ferocious opponent.
For one, she was skilled. He could see that much - but she couldn't be skilled enough to block all the attacks that he'd landed on her, but she did. Nobody could do that without a form of external aid or strange abilities he had no idea about, especially when he had upped her in terms of both speed and strength after activating The Railgun. In addition, he remembered the strange, invisible blow that landed squarely in his chest earlier - which still hurt after this much time passed. The only sound that he heard was a loud bomb going off next to his ear. It was invisible. It certainly couldn't be tracked, but heard. He had a few theories about the 'Red-Eyed Maiden's abilities, but it was too early to form anything solid about her.
Alburn gritted his teeth. If she was able to manipulate what he THOUGHT she could control, he had a feeling that bringing her in would be a lot more difficult than he'd first anticipated. She'd know about his position, the way he moved. However, it wouldn't be impossible take her down. The officer jumped down below, landing down hard on one of the cargo crates before jumping to another. He wanted to fight on a more open ground, surely the 'Red-Eyed Maiden' wouldn't let her prey go that easily. She'd have to accept his invitation for this dance.
She had to. -- Remaining Usage for Rounds in Chamber -- - 1x Red; (1/3) Active- 2x Green; (5/6) - 1x Black; (3/3)- 2x Orange; (6/6)AP: 600/650▲

DON’T FALL TOO FAR FROM WHO YOU ARE 寂しい 。。。 Coquel wasn’t going to waste any time loitering in the crumbling warehouse. Without paying much attention to her opponent, she walked out of the crumbling building without batting an eye in his direction. Smoke and fire danced in the night sky, lighting up the horizon enough for people miles away to make note of the soft light in the distance. Sooner or later, emergency personnel would respond. It was likely that backup would show up for the officer, at which point she would have to decide whether she would live or die. Going peacefully wasn’t an option she was willing to consider. That’s not what she was about. Standing at the edge of the pier, Coquel stared off towards the ocean. Off in the distance, islands. Everything was capped white, either covered in snow or frozen over. The permafrost was one of her favorite things about the northern Kingdom, something that stood out among all the other places she had the opportunity to visit. With a heavy puff, she released tension that had built up during the brief encounter in the warehouse. Her lungs burned, an obvious side-effect of the smoke and fire. Dehydration was a very real possibility for her to consider, as well. Odd, though, how she had been caught by surprise. Never before had she been so ill-prepared for combat. Her ears on the battlefield, Coquel’s attention was grabbed by the sound of her enemy dropping onto a cargo crate not too far from her location. She turned her head in the direction of the sound, locking her eyes on the man as he ran for more open ground. Probably for the best, in her opinion. Closed quarters would benefit neither of them. Clearly, they both were the type of fighters that thrived on being in an open area. It worked to both of their advantage, more than likely. Good. Coquel loved the idea of being faced with a real challenge. She had spent so much time fighting small-time Hunters that she almost forgot what a true fight was like. Smiling, she raised her sword in his direction. “You’re a pretty good fighter. What’s your name?” She inquired. Her tone of voice was calm - almost comforting, in fact. Had the circumstances been different, there was the possibility that the latter could have been true. She lowered Daedalus, keeping it ready at her side in case the need to use it returned. For now, Coquel was going to enjoy a little Q and A. Whether or not this man - this officer - was willing to cooperate and be civil, however, she did not know. Part of her hoped so. She had never met such a formidable opponent. She had never met someone that stood their ground against her. Not like this.
