Cheiri sports long, flowing pinkish-orange hair, reaching down to her waist. More often than not, this is tied up in a manner that most do not suspect that Cheiri’s hair is truly that long. Cheiri’s eyes are a sky blue (unlike the depicted FC). In most cases Cheiri tends to wear a long flowing light scarf over robes reminiscent to Eastern designs or a ribboned outfit not too different from a school uniform. Cheiri’s Faunus trait is a rather fluffy tail with the same colour as her hair for its fur, she takes great pride in her tail and often grooms it.
As a side note, Cheiri's first name is pronounced 'Shay-Rhee'.
★ PERSONALITY
Cheiri is somewhat of a handful, much like the animals she takes traits from, Cheiri can be rather sly and cunning in her own manner, good with subtlety, though surprisingly often forgoing it for her love of attention, be it from grandeur or from her pranks. Whilst she has spots of laziness from simply disliking boring things, Cheiri’s had her priestly duties ingrained into her, and these duties remain one of the few things Cheiri consistently maintains, although, she won’t hesitate to point out how boring it is. Quick to say what’s on her mind, Cheiri can be rather rash, though she’s just as quick to apologise when she realises she’s done wrong.
★ HISTORY
The Mizutsune family has been one of the longest standing families in the settlement of Cela within Pinnacle’s mountain ranges, with the head of the family being their representative amongst the elders of Cela. The teachings of the Mizutsune family are most reminiscent of Taoism, with a particularly larger focus on naturality and with heavy symbolising involving flowing water. Within the clan, the youngest descendant, was a newborn Faunus girl, quickly christened Cheiri by her father, who was married into the clan. The Mizutsune Head had always been female, with a particular hereditary Semblance born only in the women of the lineage.
Cheiri was… an odd child to begin with. Gaining her Faunus traits from her father, she was born with a fox-like tail, and was the first Faunus amongst her bloodline. She had an unusual amount of spunkiness to her since as far as she could remember, often getting into accidents or accidentally insulting the other families within Cela and their beliefs. Cheiri’s early childhood was… rambunctious to say the least, though she’d learnt to quickly apologise and make amends for her improper actions as a result.
Around the age of 8, the young kit had uncovered her Aura and Semblance, in a rather fearsome encounter with the local wildlife in which she had fended off a dangerous… goat. Cheiri had discovered her ability to create bubbles and from that point onward had dedicated her Semblance to mischief. Of course, the kit had been quickly scolded by her parents for this misuse. Both her mother and father and the priests and monks dedicated to the Mizutsune’s teachings were quick to teach Cheiri how to properly conduct herself with her Semblance.
Cheiri had begun practicing for her duties and eventual role as the next Head Maiden at the age of 12, and alongside that had begun to learn martial arts and spirituality by the monks of her family. For better or for worse, this never had that large of an impact on the girl’s mischievousness, however she was happy to learn and adhere to her family’s duties.
At the age of 18, it had been decided that the kit had learnt as much as she could from her teachings, and was expected to set out on a pilgrimage, practicing her beliefs and furthering her understanding of her duties on her own through this journey. Trained in several forms of martial arts focused on pacifism, Cheiri isn’t exactly one to look for fights, of course, she’s perfectly willing to jump into the fray if it means to aid another, but most certainly admonishes fighting for the sake of brutality. However, her childishness and sly playfulness tends to land her in hot water. In any case, Cheiri’s most particularly focused on two forms, swordsmanship and unarmed combat. Both of which, Cheiri prefers to remain pacifistic about, however is certainly skilled enough to do what’s necessary. Her style of fighting is most reminiscent of Aikido, using her opponent’s strengths against them, and preventing injuries in both herself and her opponent. Instead, in a mix of the usage of her Semblance, redirection and misdirection, Cheiri prefers to simply tire out the ones who refuse to listen, usually saving her more dangerous weapons for the Grimm. Rather skilled at her rather unorthodox form of Aikido, Cheiri utilises her fox-like agility and reflexes as well as her Semblance skillfully to dodge her opponents and playfully subdue them. In terms of armed combat, Cheiri’s Aikido also gains some inspiration from Iaido, utilising swift strikes alongside her nimbleness to overwhelm her foes.
Cloudburst is the name given to her weapon of choice, considered an ornamental heirloom by her family, Cloudburst is a Katana of sorts fully kitted out for combat. In design, the blade itself is a metallic blue, with symbols representing water etched into the blade, on the end of the hilt several bells are attached by a ribbon, shingling quite frequently. The sheath of the katana is rather oddly shaped, whilst designed to fit the blade within it, the sheath itself appears to be the stock and barrel of a rifle. Cloudburst has three main forms to be utilised for combat, its basic form is obviously that of a katana, with a dust-based firing mechanism designed to bolster the swinging force and thrusts of the weapon. The first of its ranged forms is represented when the weapon is sheathed, locking into place, the weapon becomes a highly accurate iron-sighted rifle, complete with a separate dust-ammunition system from her Katana, fired by the same mechanism built into the hilt of her blade.
The final form is another ranged form, more primarily focused on skirmishes and mid-close range combat, whilst sheathed, the hilt of Cloudburst can be detached to transition into the shape of a revolver, holding 6 shots, the ammunition system of this is the same as the one in the sword form, and is reloaded by reholstering the weapon. Taking a rather short amount of time to do so.

At all times, Cheiri carries with her a bottle of water, roughly able to contain 800mL at a time. Cheiri’s outfits consist of a water-proofed inner lining on her undergarments, as well as specialised boots and gloves so as to not inconvenience herself with her own Semblance.
Strange as it may be, Cheiri’s Aura has a twofold appearance, with the feeling of a relaxing hot bath tied in with it, as though one were soaking in a hot spring. Appearance-wise, upon any extreme movement, such as a dodge or an attack, on top of her own semblance, cherry-blossom shaped pieces of her Aura flow along the movement and fall, taking 10 seconds to dissipate as soon as they hit the floor. Usually a pastel pink or sky blue in colour, Cheiri’s Aura is reminiscent of her place of childhood, the Monasteries in Pinnacle.

Cheiri’s Semblance is the ability to create bubbles. At first this may sound rather odd and very passive and weak in the battle against the Grimm, but Cheiri’s resourcefulness often utilises it as a core component to outwit and defeat her opponents. At its most basic form, Cheiri can generate swaths of bubbles within a 5m area around herself. These basic bubbles are not ordinary; particularly durable and absurdly slippery, where even Cheiri has trouble walking over her Semblance-made bubbles without slipping, despite wearing boots made to do so.
Cheiri most commonly uses these bubbles to slide across the battlefield and disorient and trip up her foes.
Cheiri can manipulate the properties of her bubbles to have all sorts of various effects. At the cost of a minimal amount of extra Aura expenditure, Cheiri can form bubbles that are extremely sticky and rather heavy. However, these bubbles can only be secreted from her hands, and must make physical contact with another living being to stick to them; unless it has already made contact with another individual, the bubbles do not stick to anything. However, once they do, they will stick to just about anything bar Cheiri herself. Most notably used to immobilise her foes or exhaust them.
Another skill is to create bubbles filled with an extreme amount of either a smokey substance or simple water, often blown out of her hands by her breath, and flying an odd distance in association with the real weight this would hold. Cheiri can burst these particular bubbles at any distance from herself at the cost of extra Aura. In terms of the water-filled Semblance bubbles, the amount of water created by this is absurd, a cloud of these bubbles bursting would be akin to pressurized water bomb, whilst not powerful enough to kill someone, taking one to the face is… disorienting, if one were to put it nicely. The smoky cloud bubbles have a similar effect, but rather an impacting force of water, create an effective smokescreen for her to obstruct vision with.
Usage of this semblance is directly tied in with her hydration levels, however, Cheiri can create bubbles much greater in amounts of water to her actual body’s worth of water. However, it’s not uncommon to see Cheiri drinking often both inside and outside of fights to compensate for the loss of water. All of Cheiri’s bubbles have an aromatic scent, and due to their link with the body, Cheiri’s body unconsciously utilises her Semblance as an alternative to sweat.
