Schwarz collapses on the ground, his duffel bag landing heavily upon the ground by his side. He was late... That much could not be overstated. His vacation from life had made him skip most of the first semester, and his decision to hike to Vytal Academy rather than take the available airship to save on cash certainly didn't help either.

But he made it anyway, the towering spires and courtyard of the school surrounding him. He had no idea what time of day it was, but that mattered little. If he missed a few months of school, he could miss an extra day. It's not like the headmaster, whoever it was, was gonna punish him any more based on what must only be a few hours based on the falling sun.

Well, I got here at least.

He wasn't going to get up anytime soon if not for the sound of a bell, whatever it meant. After all, he had places to be, people to meet.

After spending so long mostly by himself or with Nim, he could use a little human company. If he was gonna be stuck here for a few years, might as well get to know everyone now.

So, with a spring in his step, Schwarz slams directly into the wall next to one of the broad openings to the school.
