PLAYED BY TWENTY ONE (21) SEPTEMBER (9) | MALE CAPTAIN OF THE WHITE FANG FAUNUS | |
Bai Hu |
★ APPEARANCE
Bai wears a jersey with an orange and black tiger pattern and a white fur collar. Over his sleeves, he wears his gauntlet-claws so that they don’t rip his clothing when activating. He has normal blue jeans and sneakers on typical days, and a black and white t-shirt underneath his jacket.
When performing operations as the White Fang Captain “Yin”, Bai wears a long white coat which has a tall collar flipped up to cover his neck with long and loose sleeves which hide his arms completely. His legs are armored and boots tipped with metal. His mask is rectangular and curved to fit his entire face, black design creating a large “王” symbol upon it, which hides his eye slits. This mask allows his hair to flow from above.
Physically, he’s of average height and a lean, yet muscular, build. His hair is normally orange with a few streaks of black, except under certain circumstances of his semblance turning it white. His eyes are light blue and his skin is pale. His faunus trait is an orange and black-striped tail.
★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Bai grew up in Rift for most of his life, in an orphanage. His parents died obscurely in the outskirts of the kingdom. Without the emotions toward some authority figure, Bai felt a deep sense of emptiness which he sought to fill, in time, with religion. He always felt something "greater than himself", but only defined it much later in life.
He was a studious sort, taking up educating himself with history and sciences while simultaneously making time for physical training and weapon design. The world, he learned, was a cruel place. He was fortunate, but for how long? He armed himself with knowledge and violence, awaiting his call to action with eager readiness.
At the age of 14, Bai noticed something in all the stories, histories, and religions he studied. A thread running through them all. Soon enough, he pieced the evidence together revealing the existence of an ancient civilization long dead and older than the discovery of Dust, the Sumite Empire, from which all of humanity derive their religion and government upon. More importantly, however, it spoke of the Origin of the Faunus, at least part of it:
Once, it was said, that there was a Sumite King blessed by the four goddesses with strength and stamina and magic. His City on the River was protected on the north by water, and on the south by him and his power. The King grew arrogant, believing himself equal to the goddesses and ignoring their laws, acting without their permission and trespassing their grounds when it suited him. Alas, the goddesses called upon the first Faunus and beaconed him to civilization, entering a champion of nature with which might hold a candle to the King. Faunus and King fought, the wildman and the human, until the King stood victorious, even if barely. Still, this humbled the King, taking the Faunus as his best friend, rival, and companion all while they now together trespass against the goddesses. To punish both the King and Faunus, the goddesses struck down Faunus such that the King be confronted with mortality and the Faunus dead.
That is the origin which Bai found and from which he had found his Faith. The Faunus, as he viewed it, failed the goddesses in his task to quell the arrogant King’s behavior, and thus the species was punished for it, never to rise to prominent power. What Bai saw, however, was an opportunity: If the faunus were being punished through their oppression, then the only solution is to resolve the original mission: Slay the Human “Pride”, and appease the goddess’s curse, and achieve true equality for his people. That was what his "greater than himself", the Four Goddesses, wanted from him.
Realizing his destiny, Bai joined the White Fang, quickly gathering prominence as a leader due to his semblance, tactics, and fervor which he utilizes to strengthen their numbers. Within the Fang, however, is some unrest toward this young up-start who's faction is more cult than army.

★ PERSONALITY
POSITIVE - Intelligent: Being strong means being flexible, and to rely on only a single strength is foolishness. Bai is much more tactically oriented than many others in his position, and has accomplished many great tasks with less-than-adequate resources. - Easy to Read, Hard to Understand: Bai wears his emotions on his sleeve. One can easily tell when he’s upset, or happy, just be looking at his face. Unfortunately many cannot interpret why, exactly, he may be feeling what he is. - Open-Minded: Bai does not hate humanity, as some might think with his White Fang association. In fact, he believes all are equal under the divine order. - Straight-Shooter: Bai doesn’t tolerate going around in circles. He cuts any cryptic message or misunderstanding and acts with immediacy. - Idealist: Whether it be peacekeeping or usurping, none can deny that Bai believes in a Grand Vision of Utopia. | NEGATIVE - Stubborn: Bai has a set of beliefs which he believes in absolute certainty. While morally flexible, he finds it hard to adapt or change his philosophy. - Arrogance: While Bai is flexible and efficient, he often believes he simply knows better than anyone else. When confronted with an obstacle that can halt his wit, he oft loses his temper. - Extremism: Bai’s views of the world are somewhat strange, yet stranger still is how far he is willing to act on those beliefs to endanger himself and innocents to achieve his ideals. - Apathetic Humor: Bai is the type to laugh at misfortune and crack a joke at a funeral. - Talkative: A sucker for compliments and bait, Bai is the kind of guy to spew out his evil plans to anyone who asks. |

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Technically defined as "Hybrid Shotgun Tiger Claws", Bai’s gauntlets have three weapons integrated: Quadruple-Barrel Shotgun, Tiger Claws, and hidden weapon. The shotgun is loaded atop the mid-forearm, and aimed to fire behind and out the elbow. This can fire singular or all shots on command via aura appliance. The tiger claws normally run along the back forearm, the shotgun slots fit between the three claws. On command, the claws can flip out and lock into the backhand piece of the gauntlet. A hidden function of the gauntlets is a hidden gun running along the inner forearm. While it is only as powerful as a small pistol, it can shoot a “flashbang” bullet created from Electric and Wind Dust to blind and deafen those near wherever it hits. These hidden guns each have 2 shots before needing a reload.
MISC.
Orange and unpredictable when normal, Bai’s aura is powerful and threatening with its focus and intensity. When White, however, it seems and feels omnipresent, as if it had spread throughout the air and touched every inch of one’s body and soul.
Bai utilizes his Aura offensively in various ways:
Great Diviner
The ability to manipulate Aura in himself and others. With this, the White Fang flourishes under Bai Hu with his Semblance maximizing his subordinate’s strengths to their fullest, as well as himself. Refining Aura into a stronger form, and adjusting its malleability to allow it to be more efficiently controlled means that anyone under his influence may as well be twice as powerful. More so than this, Bai has also learned to use his semblance offensively to degrade aura and increase its rigidity for opposite effects. Using this semblance on any single target for any single effect costs 15 AP per minute.
Small Note: When Blessing and Absolving himself, Bai’s orange hair and his aura turn pure white.

MISC.
- 20 packs of Gravity Dust shotgun rounds
- 20 “Flashbang” bullets
- 10 Void Dust bullets
- Suicide Vest: This vest is worn and can be activated via Scroll or, if wearing it, by Aura. It is fitted with twenty bars of Void Dust, and thus incredibly dangerous.
AURA
Orange and unpredictable when normal, Bai’s aura is powerful and threatening with its focus and intensity. When White, however, it seems and feels omnipresent, as if it had spread throughout the air and touched every inch of one’s body and soul.
Bai utilizes his Aura offensively in various ways:
- Aura Armor, which projects a denser amount of Aura over Bai’s body to halve the damage done to his Aura. This costs 5 AP per minute.
- Projecting Aura Attack, in which he launches his attacks over a distance. With his Tiger Claws, this manifests as three crescent projectiles which mimic the strength of the original. Costs 5 AP. Range is 50 Meters, covering this distance in around 2 seconds.
- Physical Augment, doubling his own physical abilities (Speed, Strength, Stamina, Reflexes). Costs 5 AP per minute.
- Mending, an ability he finds quite useful for looking after his subordinates and keeping his side combat ready.
SEMBLANCE
Great Diviner
The ability to manipulate Aura in himself and others. With this, the White Fang flourishes under Bai Hu with his Semblance maximizing his subordinate’s strengths to their fullest, as well as himself. Refining Aura into a stronger form, and adjusting its malleability to allow it to be more efficiently controlled means that anyone under his influence may as well be twice as powerful. More so than this, Bai has also learned to use his semblance offensively to degrade aura and increase its rigidity for opposite effects. Using this semblance on any single target for any single effect costs 15 AP per minute.
- Blessing: The aura of the target is refined, once an ore and now an alloy. Abilities which utilize this aura are now stronger by half (1.5x). This includes semblances and so forth.
- Absolvation: The aura flow is strengthened, giving the target greater control of their aura. The range/radius of their abilities is increased by half OR the cost in AP is reduced by half.
- Curse: The aura of the target is degraded, one a fine weapon and now turned to rust. Abilities which utilize aura are now weaker by half. This includes semblances and so forth.
- Condemnation: The aura flow is constricted, reducing the target’s ability to manipulate their own aura into abilities. The range/radius of their abilities are decreased by half OR the cost in AP is increased by half.
Small Note: When Blessing and Absolving himself, Bai’s orange hair and his aura turn pure white.
