★ APPEARANCE
A lesser noble from Rift, one might imagine Forest to look far more aristocratic and posh, and as such comparing his actual appearance and his background makes it hard to believe he's really who he claims - Clad not in fine silks but in assorted fabrics and a long, green hooded-cloak, he seems someone who'd be far more at home with the scoundrels of the underworld that plague the four kingdoms.
With shoulder-length auburn hair and piercing verdant eyes, there's something about the man that could be considered conventionally attractive. Sadly, it's laced with a large amount of sceptic glances and arrogant posturing that seems to undercut the entire aesthetic. It seems from the way that he stands and the way he looks at others that he doesn't like other people getting too close.
Beside the cloak, Forest's clothes are extremely simple. A woolen shirt underneath a leather harness specifically dyed a dark green to blend in with the cloak. His trousers are similarly simple, a pair of green tights that lead into large leather boots. The entire outfit is designed to reduce the sound of armour and clothes, and even his boots are designed to muffle the sound of his footsteps. Thus, the first thing most of his victims hear is the twang of a bow string.
As for tattoos and the like, his skin is completely bare apart from a rather unpleasant scar that runs up the entirety of his left arm from the back of his hand up to his elbow, implying some sort of stab wound that healed badly. Still, as this is hidden by his glove (specially designed to help him fire his bow without too much strain) it is very unlikely anyone would see it.

★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Forest is a man who doesn't like talking much about his past, so whilst the basics are on the Academy database for those interested to read, it contains as little information as he was physically able to give to the professors without raising suspicion.
Eighteen years ago, he was born in Rift to the Roberts family - a noble family that was well-connected and who used their amicable personalities to blend in well with other tiers of society. Their family was well known for knowing the right place to be and the right time to be there with the right people. A few negative rumours were spread because of this, but nothing especially harmful.
Forest, for the most part, seemed to take after his father - a polite, well-mannered but quiet young man who seemed to want nothing to do with others. This was, however, until he met a man called Leo Richardson. A middle-class man from a family of hunters and warriors, able to trace his lineage back to one of the great generals in the War. The two quickly became fast friends, and Forest's personality grew to resemble his friend and role model.
Going from respectful and quiet to boisterous and flirtatious, he became quite popular in his home village even if not in his actual home. His father and mother kept chiding him for "chasing skirts" and even tried to wed him off to some noble bint that he had never seen in person. The only way he was able to put them off was by promising to do it only if he could enlist as a hunter, wanting to pair up with Leo and see the world, and only after he completed Vytal academy. His parents begrudgingly agreed, and so he began to be specifically tutored to be the best hunter he could be.
For most of his childhood from the age of 8 to the age of 12, he was put through his paces again and again by the tutor who his parents had picked, and thus he became a polyglot. Knowledgeable about science, weapon-making, herbology, and especially combat. Seeing his friend grow far more capable than him made Leo slowly begin to seethe, and Forest offering to teach him what he had learned seemed to be the final nail in the coffin - At some point after the two enlisted in the Underclass, Leo came in contact with some agent of the White Fang.
His years of preparation put him above his fellow classmates, or at least in most cases. and it just seemed to rub the difference between the two of them in Leo's face. Any attempt at mollifying him was lost by the time their underclasses were almost over from years of unaware mockery. In the summer before they were due to graduate to Vytal, Leo ran away from home.
Tracking him down himself, Forest stumbled upon a small chapter of the white fang. Believing Leo to be salvageable, he entered the building and tried to pull him out, but found himself attacked. That was how he gained the scar upon his right arm. Horrified at what his friend had become and believing him to be lost, Forest found himself completely unsure of what to do.
After weeks of deliberation, he used his contacts to buy the knife and hid it as part of his luggage as he entered Vytal academy. He would go on to be an infamous student, somehow at once on top of his classes and constantly getting in trouble with the professors. It seemed he had grown distrustful of others after not seeing his friend's betrayal coming, and he seemed to use his flirtatious attitude to push people away.
With few friends and few long-term plans for the future (at least plans he looks forwards to), who knows where the future will take the young lord?

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Forest, like most people who went through the requisite schooling, is someone who designed his own weapon. However, unlike a lot of the other students, he had been trained in the art from a very young age and so had a lot more time to craft ideas and realise what his fighting style was than most people. As such, he created his perfect weapon - Ivanhoe.
In its carrying state, Ivanhoe would appear to be a pair of blunt sticks of adjustable length. Wielded like a pair of batons or tonfa, these are created for most weapon-against-weapon situations, allowing him and his overwhelming agility and acrobatics to overwhelm his opponent through sheer speed and ferocity. Even without a blunt edge, the force of his strike and the blunt heaviness of the weapons allows him to kill humans by breaking their bones or grimms through breaking their mask. However, by stretching them to their fullest length and attaching them together, they can be wielded as a quarterstaff.
However, it is in neither of these forms where they are the strongest. The strongest is when they are connected through a string that's stored inside the right stick, turning it into a bow. Said wire connects to the bottom half of the bow, and upon declipping will zip back inside and restore their shape as a sword or a staff with ease. The wire itself is as tough as steel, making it extremely hard to cut but requiring Forest's glove to avoid him cutting his fingers off by accident. His arrows are created out of the projections of orange dust, with each dust tube being stored safely in a small pouch on his belt. Each tube is good for ten small arrows, or one yari arrow, and he can have five tubes at once.
The speed of fire and power seem to grow inversely as the weapons size increases. In its smallest bow form, it appears to be a recurve bow, firing as rapidly as a gun and doing about as much damage. In its strongest state, at the full extent of its length, it seems much more like a yumi, a gigantic bow that's larger than he is. It's extremely difficult to wield and takes a large amount of time to load and fire, but upon firing the arrow is said to be able to "pierce through anything", including walls, body armour, extremely large grimms (like nevermores and golliaths) and even supposedly tanks.
However, like all bows, it still relies on accuracy and awareness of biology to know where to land a lethal hit. A hit passing through a nevermore's wing might cripple it's flying ability but would do little to kill it.
MISC.
- Boots | A pair of hard-wearing leather boots that reach up to just above his ankle. Whilst this might not immediately seem to be a "weapon", the shoe has been altered by some of his family's contacts to maintain the protection of leather armour whilst also reducing any and all noise of his footsteps via rubber soles. This allows him to remain stealthy without losing any armour.
- Glove | A leather "glove", more accurately referred to as a bracer, that covers his hand and only three of his fingers, leaving his thumb and little finger uncovered. Specifically used to stop his bow string hitting his hand and allowing him to heavily reduce the strain on his arm muscle despite the extreme power of his bow, it acts more as a supplementary item than a weapon or piece of armour.
- Smoke bombs | Another facet of his stealth specialisation, Forest fills his cloak's pockets with smoke bombs at almost all times. His right pocket contains simple smoke bombs suffused with aura, creating a smoke screen that also blocks out smell and supernatural sight like that of many Grimms. The only senses undisturbed are hearing and touch. The other pocket is filled with similar-looking bombs, only differing through the small red ring around its centre, specially designed to knock out those who breath in the gas for too long.
- Poisoned Knife | A little more malicious than his other weapons, especially as the poison seems more tailor-made for humans than for Grimms, revealing a certain level of his true intent. Cloaked beneath a layer of his semblance that makes it appear to not be there, the knife was something that he picked up after his companion abandoned him for the White Fang. He actively struggles to sleep at night without it somewhere near him. The poison is tailor-made to be strong enough to even kill a lion faunus with but one hit, hence why he keeps it wrapped in protective cloth
A large part of Forest's early training was about controlling his mana and its usage. As such, at most times it seems transluscent and scentless, like a truly dangerous poison gas in the air. However, should he overexert himself and try to do too much at once, the natural scent and colour will appear, potentially undercutting the use of his semblance.
When not held back, his aura gives off a scent very like petrichor - the smell of earth after rain. It also has a light green shade, seeming much more innocent and happy than his usual choice of dark greens. The two make a beautiful contrast, even if very few people will get the opportunity to see its true shade and smell.

T H E K I N G OF THE MAY
The King of the May is a powerful semblance of Forest's, the thing that originally led him down the path of stealthy and concealed warrior rather than flat out front-liner combatant. It is something that would be very controversial among his peers, something that could easily get him accused of cowardice - the power of illusions.
Specifically, this semblance allows him to create illusions based around visual stimuli. Whilst a very vague definition, the way that it affects people is something that is a lot more specific. By seeing something soaked in his aura or even Forest himself, a part of that energy latches onto the opponent's mind and alters their visual cortex to his whim, creating what would be referred to as "hallucinations."
Whilst this power is very dangerous to Forest as it requires they see him or something connected to him before being manipulated at will, once the energy is inside their mind he is able to keep the hallucinations up as long as there is aura left within their system, or more specifically 24 hours from the first injection. This can be refreshed through adding more mana, but 24 hours without visual contact of Forest is enough to end the effect permanently (at least until they are attacked with it again).
Inside combat, Forest tends to use this in two major ways. The first is to create clones of himself, making people unable to know where he's coming from or even to trick people into thinking he's somewhere he's not to give him time to line up a shot. The second typical ability he uses this for is for invisibility. He removes the image of himself from people's perceptions, literally disappearing from view. This is how he conceals the knife within his bag, filling the cloth surrounding it with his aura at least once a day.
The main weakness of this power is simple - it only affects the sense of sight. People with powerful alternate senses, like bat grimm or dog faunus, are capable of tracking him through other methods (hence why he uses other items and abilities to supplement his stealth). It also doesn't work on people who are already blind, though they should be plenty vulnerable already.
