★ APPEARANCE
Leif is someone that stands at about five foot seven inches, weighing in around one hundred and twenty-five pounds. Leif's personal color choice are autumn colors: Black, White, Brown, Orange, Red, Yellow, sometimes a faded Green.
In the warm seasons he can be found wearing hoodies with monochromatic patterns stithced into them, with the pattern mirroring itself on the inside and outside. Under the hoodie is a t-shirt normally, followed by pants with zippers along the knees around a horizonal line that let's him convert them into shorts if it's too hot. In the cold seasons he can be found toting jackets with warm fuzzy cuffs hanging out of the sleeves and along the hood of the jacket. Sweater vests under the jacket and full length pants or even slacks sometimes. His choice of footwear is what you would expect of someone, going for sandals, shoes or boots depending on the temperature.
Of course Leif has a Vytal Academy uniform, and his pajamas consist of flannel full length pants and t-shirts with different pop culture references such as needing Elbow Grease from a store or Headlight Fluid. He also owns formal wear for fancy nights out and proms.
His huntsman attire has yet to be delivered but he has stated he wants a monochromatic coat with one half white and the other half and hood a darker color, paired up with dark pants that gradate to a light color toward the bottom and shoes that match.
He can always be found toting around a red scarf given to him by his older sister.
★ PERSONALITY
Leif is often described as someone that is hard to read, despite his proclivity for books and writing, combined with his love for wandering about and making maps. A lot of people that he meets on first impression find him to be coy, naive even. Though they can soon discover that he knows a lot more than he let's on, enjoying the reaction people get when they realize it.
Leif has developed a sarcastic 'why me' outlook on the world as a result of his own actions, words, and sheer dumb luck. He is prone to getting in over his head as a result of his trying to prod people and get a rise out of them (such as pointing out to a portly patron that the restaurant's chef made a comment about said patron's weight and shape). While people might find it immature, Leif does it so he can experience emotion first hand to get inspiration for.
When it comes to those he is close to and his friends, he is more than happy to give them a gentle chiding, playing along with jokes and socializing like a 'normal person' would. Though his loyalty and desire to keep those he deems "book worthy" safe from harm is a cut above. He will forgo any personal conflict he is facing in order to provide support because the death of a character before their story is compelte is a thing that shouldn't happen in his book.

Leif comes from a family that has established themselves as explorers of sorts, the people who are willing to explore the dangerous places in order to continually update the maps of the world. Leif didn't get to associate with his parents too often as a result. The profession kept them traveling constantly, and Leif in the hands of his capable big sister and grandparents.
He would spend his time in his younger years caring for his grandparents and socializing with his big sister and friends from school. Passing time with games and TV like any normal kid, but Leif had something that he enjoyed so much more: the library, filled with books written by his grandfather. He would be read these stories by the man himself, getting Leif interested in just how many different worlds and sagas there were to hear about. It's what inspired Leif to want to become a Huntsman.
He would steel his nerves and decide to go down the dangerous life, forgoing the slightly-less dangerous explorer's life so that he could get into the action first hand! He wound up applying to and getting in to Vytal Academy's Underclassmen Curriculum. From there he graduated on time despite the instructors feeling that someone with the attention span to read books not related to class was admirable but to ALWAYS read the books was foolish thing to do. Still, Leif got off to Vytal's Upperclassmen Curriculum after enough time and effort.
Now he is attending Vytal academy as an upperclassman like many would-be Hunters! Still with his goal in mind: wind up getting great inspiration and writing his own book, to show to his grandfather one day! Making some great friends along the way is a nice bonus too..

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Grand Sleight, a weapon crafted by Leif himself during his time in Vytal Academy. The technical name for it is "Variant Carbine Crooked Cane", Grand Sleight sounds much better no? It is a weapon that has three forms aside from its inactive form: the base form and the carbine (which could be counted as two guns in one)
Inactive form - In this state, the weapon is stored into a brown metallic walking cane that comes up to Leif's hip. It is thin enough for him to wrap his hand around and swing with one hand, leading many to believe it is an over extended police baton.
Base form - In its base form, the thickness of the cane extends outwards, allowing a single hand to grip around it completely, but with more girth to it akin to a staff. The length extends out about three feet before a brass colored bladed hook comes out of it for a foot. The hook starts going up for an inch and a half before jutting out at an obtuse angle only to be complimented at five and a quarter inches, along the angle of the cane to double back to itself so that the two inch hook can point down straight to the shaft of the cane. The brass colored section is capable of being used as a bludgeon or chopping head or for grappling and tripping things up. (think one thieving raccoon's cane in case I didn't explain it properly)
Carbine form - Everything's a gun. So Grand Sleight of course has a gun form. Though this one is more of a fusion between two different guns. Taking its model design as a fusion of the M1 Garand Carbine and the M3 Gewher Bolt Action Rifle, the gun form is capable of sustained single shot fire or more powerful bolt action shots. There is a slot in the bottom of the gun for basic ammunition cartridges. Grand Sleight's gun form boasts a double ammo function. Where one is inserted into the bottom for basic bullets and a slot in the back for garand style ammo packets laden with dust. Inserting one of these into the back forces the gun to be fired in a bolt action mode, though the shots are stronger, the rate of fire is diminished.
MISC.
Leif favors the use of ice dust, earth dust and occasionally fire dust. He always keeps with him a few ration blocks. Leif also carries around a blank sheet of map paper to start mapping out an area if he finds the time.
Leif alsocarries around a half dozen dust grenades on each mission.
Leif gives off an orange colored aura mixed with a brown undertone. It gives off a feeling of ambiguity, those exposed to it unable to tell just what they are feeling unless they are emotionally close to Leif, under which case they feel a sense of security.
Leif's first shown Aura Ability is an ILLUMINATION which he uses for flash attacks and lighting up dark areas to keep up with his Faunus classmates.
Balance Break
Leif's unique semblance comes from his desire to explore the world and make his own someday, even if in his mind only. Originally discovered while trying to explore and falling from an otherwise dangerous height, Leif was saved by grabbing onto a glowing platform.
The technical aspects of Leif's semblance as it stands now are that he is capable of summoning up solid platforms of light in the air beneath his hands or feet or at a distance of up to ten feet away of varying sizes. It's also been seen that he is able to stand on walls or even upside down in the air with this semblance. Using this, he is able to maneuver around the field of battle with great finesse and accuracy, never truly being off balance. Leif can use these platforms for his allies too!
The drawbacks to using it for prolonged periods make it nauseating to reorient to the ground for one. And another is the platforms can be described as fragile depending on the amount of stamina that Leif has.
Leif uses 10% of his aura to use his ability and 25% for prolonged periods.
