★ APPEARANCE
Schwarz is a 6'4" male German Spitz faunus, matching his parents. He has long spiky black hair going down his back and a similar length broad tail coming out from the back of his clothes with a white tip. Schwarz is built dense rather than large, meaning he's fairly heavy compared to his thin appearance. Excluding his only scar, the four slash marks along his chest, he also has red tattoos near his eyes specifically made for intimidating others.
His clothing is built to reinforce that idea, his clothing completely centered around black and red. He normally walks around with black tripp pants with a variety of chains and red strips of fabric dangling off of it, a black t-shirt with the four-slash scar in red on the front and a family logo on the back, a dark gray overcoat with the image of a Krahe on the back and two Grimm masks matching Nim's on the sleeves, simple black boots, and his weapons on his arms.
If he is dressing particularly casual, though, he would go around in black jeans and striped red and black sweater.

It was difficult, being raised in a police family within a border city of Setek that is. It was particularly difficult because the city was just small enough for everyone to know who the Himmels were.
The Himmels were the police family.
While extensive, the family of Himmel had a difficult time handling the fairly absurd number of criminals within their relatively small chunk of Setek, and it only got harder when they started hunting members of the family down.
In an effort save their child from most of the threats involved with it, Rotor and Blauer Himmel start training their son, Schwarz, in how to be a hunter.
He was only 4 when his aura was awoken, and boy was it something. It felt like the world had suddenly become clear and his presence was making the whole world go around.
That feeling carried him through only six years of his training before it started getting ridiculous. I mean, how many 10 year olds are supposed to take down a Barghest with a sword?
He lost that day, but he didn't die. Unfortunately, he was scarred: not mentally, but physically.
That day forward, the four slash marks on his chest existed as a constant reminder that the world doesn't care about you or your beliefs.
Over the following years, up and until he got into a trainer school, for the qualifications required of Vytal Academy, he would continue training in much the same manner...
And then the Grimm decided to ruin all of that.
Around a month before he graduated, he was vacationing back home with his parents. It was going fairly well, even if they considered Monopoly a good game for bonding (like, Monopoly is the greatest game in the world for ruining friendships), until explosions and gunfire started being heard in the distance.
What they thought was just some more work for them, and therefore more money, was actually a massive Grimm incursion.
They found that out a little too late, when a veritable army of Giant Krahe and Grayliches was charging into the town and tearing it to pieces.
Several days passed, the town being broken apart while Schwarz kept killing and rending more and more of them, looking for his parents whom he'd lost around 5-6 hours into the mission.
They were never found.
Distraught, he fled the city and took a much needed break from the world, including the school he was supposed to go to.
They graduated him anyway, much to his surprise, and they even sent his transcripts to Vytal Academy for him.
So... He went there. No reason to waste his teachers efforts.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS - Vier Klaue
Schwarz wears a pair of black bracers everywhere he goes, including to sleep. Within the arms pieces of these bracers lie 4 claws, each razor sharp and reaching a length of 9 inches. When these are pulled out, they extend directly from the edge of his fingers. Additionally, these claws can be ejected from the glove to leave it behind. This has multiple uses, but primarily is done to free himself from the blade in case it gets caught in something. Lastly, the blades can combine into one large blade that would stem from the back of his hand. This form is largely used for final blows as the multiple blades allows for more complex attacks.
MISC.
Schwarz minimizes the amount he carries around in order to prevent any form of movement impairment, but he has a set of gear he calls 'Kriegsbär'. It includes a set of full body armor made of rectangular blast resistant armor plates along his arms, front, back, and side of his legs which are coated entire in red dust. Whenever they are struck, the red dust explodes, hopefully deflecting the attack. While Schwarz is protected from the explosion itself, he's still knocked away by the force behind it. The explosive effect can only occur once, but it's once per general area of the armor set. Due to the limitations provided by having a full suit of plate armor on you, he doesn't typically go around in it, but if he has time to prepare to fight against strong but none-agile enemies, he'll definitely take it with him. Additionally, this outfit includes a black and blue Krahe mask.
Schwarz's aura is, as his name would suggest, black, but red and blue/purple splotches slowly move around it. Whenever it is active, his emotions are displayed perfectly, and this can actually cause you to feel them as well, though this is strongest with rage. Additionally, people close to him can smell the burning of wood.
Schwarz doesn't rely that heavily on his aura in combat, but if he needs to, he's learned to create a barrier both around himself as a whole and directly in front of his hands. The cost varies based on which he's doing, from 10 for a full body barrier to 2 per hand. The full body barrier surrounds his body exactly, but the hand one can be projected slightly off of his hand in a disk shape or left as a general cover of the extremity.

Whenever Schwarz kills a Grimm, he can choose to absorb the smoke rather than let it deteriorate. This allows him to summon it in the future, though there are a few stipulations to that. First off, the summoning takes around 10 seconds of casting, although he is able to conduct basic movements during the ritual. Additionally, while the mere act of summoning it with his Aura prevents others from controlling it, the ability doesn't directly put it under his. As such, he needs to also be able to bond and train with said Grimm.
This is what led him to his current side-occupation: animal training, after a much needed vacation, anyway. Waking up to a Krahe trashing your house is not the most pleasant of experiences. At this moment, Schwarz is still running with that Krahe. It has been with him a few years and, while it's a bit of a dickhead at following his directions, it still will follow him. While multiple Grimm can follow him at once in this way, only one can be within his body at a time, so he only has Nim at the moment.
Summoning: Schwarz's aura has to already be glowing to be triggered, but it gets far more vibrant and chaotic as it flows around him and spreads upward. The smell of burning is completely removed during the 10 second duration it takes to bring out the absorbed Grimm. The summoning doesn't look like he's actually doing anything until it ends, where his shadow becomes pitch black for around a second before the Grimm flies/launches directly out of it. Summoning a Grimm costs only 25 Aura right off, but whenever it takes significant damage (a bone breaking or the like) it costs an additional 25 Aura to maintain its form, but the damage is fully prevented. If Schwarz is unable to pay this price, it is affected as normal, and must be reabsorbed as smoke or else it vanishes forever upon death.
Krahe - Nimmermehr [Nim]: Nim is a Krahe with 13 feet in length and 19 feet in wingspan. It can lift around 600 pounds on its back and has survived plenty of beatings. Obviously, a Grimm wouldn't just be able to walk around Beacon or Haven, but Nim gets around that by using Schwarz's ability to absorb it's being. The only visual difference between Nim and the other Krahe is the very thorough reversal of red and white on the Grimm mask through paint and, if he had time to actually put it on since it can't be absorbed, a rope to make hanging onto it easier.
