★ APPEARANCE
Mikado is a very distinct man, that much is apparent from how he looks alone. Any who take the time to look at him would easily notice the odd colours of his skin compared to others. While it is mostly covered by a variety of garments, it could be noted that his legs are an extremely pale white and his arms and hands a slight shade of purple. These came about from him dabbling in the ability for one to infuse themselves with dust, and due to his choices in type his appearance was altered accordingly.
Apart from that, his body isn't a whole lot to boast about. He stands at 6'3", and has a rather unassuming amount of muscle mass to him. He's a lightweight, sitting at about 140lb, but he tends to put more value in calculated movement and quick action rather than brute force. His hair is a light blond, coming just down to his ears in a rats-nest of knots and tangles. His eyes are a deep hazel, leaning more on the green side. His abdomen, right shoulder, the right side of his neck, and lower right jaw all have faint burn marks from a fire dust accident from about a decade prior.
In terms of clothing, Mikado is extremely flashy. Due to his... disposition, he often dresses in a great deal of grand wares that are a bit over-the-top for his chosen line of work. First, there are the long strands of bandages that cover both his arms as well as his abdomen and legs. The thick cloth strips are bound in such a way as to not impede movement, though covering as much as possible at the same time.
Next, there is his selection of shirt and pants. The shirt itself is long-sleeved, the fabric a dark gray. Emblazoned upon it in golden decal is a series of complex patterns and symbols that give off a vaguely arcane feel to them. His pants which are a straight black are decorated in a similar fashion, his belt being the one thing that creates a gap between the two heavily designed pieces of clothing. The belt is a simple black, adorned with yellow opals in a simple dotted pattern.
Another part of his outfit is his grand black combat boots which extend all the way up to just below his knees. At the front is a long string of buckles that go from the base all the way up to the top of the boot. The soles of the boots are rubber in contrast to the rest being leather, however, they serve more than to just protect the bottoms of the feet. The soles also have small metal grips that can be extended to help navigate slippery terrain by digging into the ground's surface slightly.
To top it all off, Mikado wears a long cape that stretches down to his feet, it too having an ornate design. The black cape, with the decals the same gold as the rest, seems to have an arcane circle upon it. Different layers of the circle are marked with different runes, all culminating in the center in the image of a sun.

Mikado would most likely tell it differently due to his disposition, but his history is rather simple when spelled out in plain words. From a very young age, he was an avid fan of a lot of different action shows on T.V which sparked his interest in being a hunter. When he was old enough to join the underclass, he quickly sprang at the opportunity with huge amounts of support from his family.
During his time at Vytal, he developed an interest in the occult, magic, and other such things. With a flaring imagination, he began to connect his studies of the occult with his real life, blending the two together into one unified truth in his eyes. His interest in magic soared, and soon enough he began to claim it to be real, not just a fun idea to think about. His personality shifted slightly, becoming more extreme in his delusional state. By the end of his time at Vytal, he had given himself the name "Grand Emperor of the Shining Light, Mikado Huoyan!"
For the next ten years of his life, he roamed the continents as a hunter, sinking further into his mental state. He became obsessed with dust, something he believed to be the physical embodiment of magic itself. For those ten years, he learned all he could about the material and often used the money he got from jobs to buy more of it for research. During this time was when he decided to attempt to infuse dust to his body, him being rather pleased with the effects.
Finally, after those ten years, he decided to take up a quieter life where he could spend his time furthering his knowledge of the occult and of dust. He would still perform exercises on occasion to keep himself in the shape he had been as a hunter, though he stopped doing any active training. However, during this time he made a point of upgrading his weapon to keep up with his dust studies.

POSITIVE - Enthusiastic Never one to do less than perfect, Mikado always performs any task he attempts with full effort and an unbridled charisma that flows not only through his work but everyday life. It is a rare occasion to see him ever feeling down, and often when he is feeling out of it, he'll just mask it with a positive exterior. - Intelligent A scholar with an intense curiosity, Mikado keeps his mind in peak condition with the knowledge he has gained over his years of experience. While he isn't completely knowledgeable in every field, he has dabbled in nearly every study he could find and in the subjects, he is most interested in he is extremely well-versed in the material. - Confident With a strong sense of self worth and steadfast attitude, he is a bold and confident man. This is not to be mistaken with arrogance however, as he can tell when he is outmatched. In a sense, his ability to admit inferiority is probably the most courageous thing about him. - Caring Mikado is a very warm hearted individual despite what first impressions might imply. He deeply values friendships and other positive relationships and is willing to go out of his way for someone he holds dear to him. - Protective He is also very quick to come to the aid of those in need, wishing no harm to those he deems his companions. He is the type to sacrifice himself to save those he cares about, or even those who he doesn't know particularly well but believes to be of good nature. | NEGATIVE - Delusional A pivotal point about who he is, he is more than just eccentric. He has a deep belief in magic and mythology, to the point where he doesn't just follow it as a hobby, but as a truth. He often will weave tales about great and powerful beings, and often add a little spice to actual events in a similar manner. This creates a bit of a disconnect between him and the world around him, though it is a disconnect he doesn't notice at all. - Distant Despite his upbeat personality and caring attitude, he tends to keep a distance between him and those he cares for. While he certainly holds his relationships dear, he tends to feel that the best way to keep those people safe and happy is to keep them from interacting much with him. - Closed-Off In a similar manner to him being distant, he also tends to close himself off from those he doesn't know. Once again, he fears that letting people too close would put them in danger or harm them, so he tries to keep those he interacts with to a minimum in an attempt to "spare" them from his turmoils. - Repelling Depending on who he interacts with, his mix of being closed-off and a bit delusional can push people away from him, never giving them the chance to really know him. On the other hand, if he is in a poor mood he may intentionally act brash or difficult to keep people away. It once again stems from a want to protect others, but the idea gets a bit twisted in practice. - Grudging Mikado is also not one to let go of past disputes easily. He has a sharp memory about people who have hurt him or others he cares about, and as a result he bears grudges towards people for long periods of time before he drops them. The Triplet Demon Swords of Amuus Rydan, this is the name Mikado bestowed upon his weapons. Each of these swords are carried in sheaths, one at each side and the third on his back. The third is for use with his semblance, but all three share the exact same design. They are all a type of sword known as a flamberge, a blade specifically designed to send vibrations through the opponents weapon to make it harder for them to keep a solid grip on it. With the technology of the time, that aspect of the sword's design is increased by a mechanism in the thicker center of the double-edged blade. On top of that, the blades have been outfitted with guns (naturally). The part of the guard where the sword connects with the hilt opens up to reveal two nozzles (one on each side of the blade's broad dimension). These nozzles fire out one bullet at a time each, and the track feeding them hold up to ten bullets each (twenty bullets per sword).
MISC.
As his blades require a fair amount of ammo, he often carries a pouch containing enough bullets to restock all his swords three times over. As well, he wears a number of small sheaths along his belt that have throwing knives in them, the blades of these knives composed entirely of raw dust. Among these blades he carries five fire, five gravity, and five ice. His most interesting misc ability however, is the dust he has infused in his body. Using the energy dust infused to his legs, he can give himself a slight boost in speed, though not to the extent that a speed semblance would. The gravity dust in his arms make for more powerful downward strikes, though upward strikes become a bit more difficult. Infusion is good for ten uses before needing to refuel, though Mikado brings enough dust with him to refuel six times over if he is going anywhere.
