The Vytal library. A huge room full of books on everything ever. A place for studying for tests in class, getting entertainment, or just plain hanging out. Kyle is one of the people that hangs out, even though that there's a test tomorrow in one of his classes. "I already have a B+ in Zari's class. What's one test gonna do to my grade?" The white haired slacker says as he walks towards one of the shelves filled with books. He sees, 'Aura Control for Dummies' available for check-out! "Finally! It's back! Maybe I can get some control over my defensive Aura and maybe boost my reserves for the future." Kyle says as he reaches for the book. And as he gets his hand on it, he sees a familiar face seated far away from all the other students in the library. "Hmm.... Wait a minute. Isn't that...Better make sure." Kyle whispers to himself as he gets near the kid that's by themselves. As Kyle gets closer, he's 100% sure that the person that's sitting alone is one of the Tournaments competitors, but couldn't remember what's their name. 'I'll feel like quite the douche if I just walk up and not know their name.' Kyle thought to himself. Now close to the lonesome sitter, he plops down and begins conversation: ".......So, how're classes?" Jeremy Aatxe

Jeremy was having a rough week. His fight in the tournament had not gone at all the way he would have liked, though the outcome worried him very little. In truth, he wasn't that invested in winning or losing, so the thing that was getting to him was the actual contents of the fight. Being nearly clawed to death was uncomfortable, causing a small fire-storm on the arena had been reckless, showing off his heavily scarred body to thousands was just something he was trying not to think about. What had really made that fight a hard time for him to digest was that during the bout, his back tattoo had reacted strangely with... something, and because of that his semblance nearly activated in full force. While for most, their semblance activating was no big deal, many even using theirs for fun half the time (he knew a classmate who enjoyed swinging around campus from an aura chain and grapple hook) his was something to avoid at all costs. For this very particular reason, he had nearly a dozen books on the table varying in subject from 'Divine dust and it's application in weapons' to 'forcible aura awakening – a study in personal rights'. He was about half way through a book called 'Adverse effects of aura suppression' when somebody sat across from him and asked how classes were going.
Jeremy didn't look up right away actually, he kept on reading since, well, he didn't know anybody and it sounded like this person was addressing a friend of theirs. When he didn't hear a response from somebody else, he stopped to peer over the edge of his book. There was, in fact, nobody else at the table aside from himself, and a young man with an 'aura control for dummies' book. The boy seemed to be looking straight at him, which made Jeremy instictively look behind him to see if their was some other person that this fellow could be talking to. With nobody behind him or around him, Jeremy had to come to the conclusion, however unlikely, that this white haired young man was actually talking to him.
A-alright, I, uh, I s-suppose. He stuttered awkwardly, not really sure what to do in this situation. Was this how people generally introduced themselves? Was this guy just being friendly, making small talk? Jeremy had absolutely no idea, socializing was far and away not his strongest skill. Uh, I, uh, my name is J-Jeremy. W-what's your name? He asked, still unsure of really what to do or say.

Oh god, this is going awry already. Ok, maybe he can salvage this! Just got to break the ice by telling Jeremy his name, make him feel comfortable. "Nice to meet ya Jeremy. My name's Kyle Alodis. I see that you have some books similar to the one I have now. Mind if I join you in your reading session?" Kyle says as he opens up 'Aura control for dummies.' After 30 minutes, the room starts to fill with a awkward silence. Normally at this time, he'd be talking up a storm, but this bull kid had a cloud of uncertainty around him. 'Cool. You made him a bit more uncomfortable with you. Just got to avoid sensitive subjects.' Kyle thought to himself. 'Might as well ask a question.'
"So uh......" Kyle begins, unsure how to forward the conversation with Jeremy. He then gets an idea! Might as well get to know each other since they're going to be classmates for another three years. "How about this? We each ask a question about the others life or interest. You can start." Kyle finally forms the idea into words and lets them fly out of his mouth. Jeremy Aatxe

Um, a-alright. Hello Kyle, I don't see why not. Jeremy said with a weak smile, returning to his book and where he left off. While generally unfamiliar with the idea of a 'reading session' he assumed it was just the two of them sharing space to read silently by themselves. It was actually kind of nice, he appreciated that Kyle was being polite enough to ask before sitting down. At first, Jeremy didn't connect what Kyle was looked at in his Aura Control for Dummies book with his own selection of reading material, but he supposed to an outside observer it seemed similar enough despite his reasons for looking into the subject matter.
Regardless, Jeremy enjoyed the next thirty minutes as he went through the remaining chapters of interest with the book. He didn't learn anything he didn't already know really, he went in to the school physician regularly for the conditions described in the book. Nothing seemed to relate to the issue he had in his tournament bout, so he closed the book and set it aside with a disappointed sigh. He looked over the mound of books he still had to go through, thinking the next best bet for him was a fairly thin book called “Hunters and Empathy – Trusting your Feelings from Others' Aura.” He picked up the book and started to flip through it when Kyle spoke up again which made Jeremy look up. He mentioned something about them asking each other questions about their respective lives and likes, which caught Jeremy quite by surprise. The idea that he was supposed to start this whole... questioning process seemed even more alien a concept.
It would be rude to just... not do this I think. Uh, what do I ask then? What kind of thing is appropriate? He began to question and run through topics that may be taboo, what was okay, what may be insulting. He didn't know where to begin, and what was worse, he was sure that Kyle was even now looking at what had to be an absolutely dumb struck face as he tried to come up with some idea as to what he could possibly ask.
Uh, what is, uh... He was about to ask what the point of this was, but thought better of it, that would almost definitely be insulting. What uh, are you doing here reading about uh, aura? He asked, eyeing Kyle's book.

Alright! Got the ball rolling, just gotta keep it rolling. Though, he could have asked ANY other question.
He then inhales and explains why he has this book. "I struggle with controlling my Aura, as embarrassing as it sounds. I cannot get it to obey me like other students can." Kyle says, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I mean, I can use it as a shield, but it barely protects me sometime." He says, now feeling quite.......Stupid. He looks down and starts to wonder what to ask Jeremy. He then gets one off the top of his head and asks his question.
"Soooooo......What're your parents like?"

It's not embarrassing to only have a rough control of your aura. Jeremy said in what he was hoping was a reassuring tone, though it more than likely come off a bit flatly. He unbuttoned his right sleeve and rolled it up a bit revealing the tawny brown/yellow tattoo, and an unfortunately large amount of scarring on his arm. Not everybody needs intense aura control. Somebody who is better at sword fighting, or hand to hand combat, really only needs basic aura control. I use dust tattoos, which need very precise aura control. He said, flexing his aura slightly, powering the tattoo which lit up warmly. Glass seemed to swirl up and away from the tattoo, coming to form a small sphere of glass in his hand. The sphere twisted and undulated, cresting and falling until it was in the shape of a palm sized cat, which he placed on the reading table as the glow of his aura faded from the amber glass. So I'm pretty darn good at it. If you want, I could show you some tips and tricks to help you get a better handle on your aura. As Jeremy spoke those words he realized that he had just invited somebody out to meet at some point. This was actually a fairly notable achievement for him on a personal level. The question about his parents was a bit of a surprise, his immediate reaction was to cover up the scars on his hands, buttoning up his sleeve again.
M-my mother is n-nice, sh-she works here in the V-Vytal cafeteria. We moved here j-just before I enrolled as a-an u-underclassman. He said, his stutter coming back in full force from the topic at hand, though he was struggling to keep it under control. She's a doe faunus, she's been e-encouraging me to r-reach out more and t-talk to p-people. He said, ending the topic for himself there. He didn't feel the need to mention his father, he honestly didn't feel like he could, not to somebody he just met anyway.
So, f-for my question, w-why are you s-so interested i-in me? Jeremy was very curious to know what had prompted him to sit at this table and ask him questions.

"Well, that's nice. Good on ya." Kyle couldn't believe that this kid is actually opening up to him. He seemed so timid, but actually shy! But he didn't mention his dad.
"As for why I came over here......" Kyle stopped. He wasn't rally sure why he came here. Was he interested in the guy? No. Did he know him? Could barely remember his name! "Just that we have something in common." Kyle decides on that as an answer. "Also, you seemed really nice compared to some major league D-bags that're at other tables. Third, your loneliness was crying out."
"Man. It actually feels good to talk to another calm minded person. Y'know at first glance I thought you were just a Jock. No offense. And sure, I'd love to have some help with controlling it."
"So, where are those scars that you're hiding from?" Kyle points out the obvious tugged part of Jeremy's shirt.
