Vytal Academy. A safe haven for Hunters and Huntresses in training. Houses over possibly 800 students and faculty combined. Teachers that have both patience and experience to explain how to fight Grimm. Dorms are(Fortunately) shared with both boys and girls. And as a pincher, has a various selection of after school programs! Housing District, 7:00 A.M.
Everyone was excited to see the Festival and tournament! Most people put bets on the strongest Hunters in training, hoping to win big! Some even thought that they had a chance and entered in the Tournament. Well...... Except one Freshman. One boy was sleeping up against the wall, even though they were already close to the school. A civilian, feeling that the kid might not be well, decides to get him up. "Hey kid. Wake up." No response. "Kid. it 7:00 in the morning. Time to get up." Again, no response. "OI K-" "I heard ya the first time, duder.." The boy yawns out. Kyle then got up, stretched out his muscles, straightening out Drava and Black-talons, puts his hands in his pockets, and starts heading to the Dorms. 'I'll check out the festival tomorrow.' Man it was so nice to have a fully healed left arm again! That's all Max could think to himself as he skated down the street on his skateboard. The young hunter had been down for the count for about a week until he kicked his aura into overdrive which sped up the bones healing process. To celebrate his recovery, Max got fully dressed in his black with white stripe suit,black tie and dress shoes. He then put on his ammo satchel and skateboard harness and then snuck out of his teams home for some fresh air once he tucked his twin pistols inside his inner jacket pockets. The young hunter then skated out into the crisp morning air to see what the day would bring him. "I should probably check in on the second round of the tournament later today just to see how my friends are doing."As Max skated down the street in long slow strides he felt someone nudge into him. This caused Max's hunter instincts to kick in instantly as he reached for his right pistol. The young hunter quickly turned backward on his board and pulled out the pistol upside down as he always did so that his pinkie was on the trigger and the chamber could be used as a guard. As he pulled it out it quickly found itself between the eyes of a white haired male who looked rather sleepy. Once Max knew that he wasn't under attack he slipped his pistol back into his suit coat pocket and sighed. "You gotta be careful man. If you startle the wrong person you could end up with a bullet between the eyes. I almost gave you a forehead piercing. You look rather tired, why aren't you still in bed? You look like your about to drop."Max just crossed his arms as he stood horizontally on his board with perfect balance. It was obvious that the young man would be able to skate on his board in even the harshest conditions without falling off. If things went wrong in this meeting, Max wouldn't mind a mobile fight. 'Is this guy serious? He bumped into ME.' Kyle thought to himself as the guy just threatened him. Kyle was thinking about drawing one of the talons to prove he wasn't a pushover. He then saw the guys face. Bowl cut hair, floats on a skateboard, two pistols.....
'Wait a minute.. Isn't this the same kid that-'After a few seconds, Kyle then just started chuckling. "Really? YOU are gonna put a bullet between my eyes? You lost to a single guy with friggin' CANNONS. Hitting him twice, POINT BLANK if I'm remembering correctly. Seriously, if you couldn't beat a single guy with those, I don't think that you'd be able to take me on, bowl cut."

Oh this guy was really asking for trouble. As the albino looking man began to mock Max for his loss, the young gunman just clenched his jaw before taking a deep breath. Max already felt bad enough for having fought his hardest and yet still lost. Without a single word, Max just pulled out his right pistol once more but this time much faster to the point that all that could be seen was a silver blur. Without hesitation Max pulled the trigger with expert precision and accuracy, aiming the bullet to fly past the boys ear so that it would send a cold chill and frost part of his hair as a warning shot. Once he fired the shot he twirled his pistol and held it up. "Everyone who challenges me gets one warning shot to back off and you just wasted yours. Before you open your mouth again I suggest that you think very carefully of who you are speaking to. I am second in command of one of the only four person teams on campus. Not only that but even though I lost the tournament, I still competed."As Max clenched his pistol, his aura flared to life in a powerful way. The scent of Vanilla filled the air as a thick, bright and smooth chrome aura covered him with such force that it seemed to thin the already shallow winter air. What Max lacked in brute physical strength he made up for in speed, accuracy and aura power. Unlike most hunters who could only use their aura for their semblance or protection in small amounts, Max had an almost overflowing supply which he was gonna show to his fellow classmate as his aura thickened and swirled around his body. "You get one chance to apologize. If you do I will forget what you said and will treat you to a coffee. Be warned that if you continue your current course of action, they will need to fly you to the nearest hospital on the ship you came in on."With that thread and a glare from his golden eyes, Max took aim once more. He didn't want to fight a fellow classmate right off the bat but he was done being disrespected. 'D-did he just.... Yep, he did. He actually fired a Ice dust Bullet at me.' Kyle thought to himself as he takes a double take at where the shot went. The chill on the other hand, was what he needed to fully wake up. His blood was a bit boiled at this point. 'This is just great. 7:00 in the morning and I'm already PISSED.' Kyle was about to put his hand on Talons, but decided to go against it. And in a moment, Kyles Aura start to change from a Lazy and uncontrolled state to a more Refined battle state. Not knowing that it switched to his combat mode, he sticks out his hand. "Really dude, I don't want to fight you. I respect your tenacity in your fight. You just seemed a bit like the Joking type. I apologize for what I said. How about I get ya some Crumpets to go with that coffee, then we'll be square. Cool?"Max Chromium |

As the boy apologized, Max let out a long breath as he let his aura fade. He then slipped his pistol back into his coat once more and then crossed his arms. He listened to the boy offer to buy some crumpets to go with the coffee. Honestly Max didn't know what a crumpet was but some food did indeed sound good. With a small nod, Max turned vertically on his board once more and pushed his right foot off the ground to propel himself forward toward the boy and quickly skated around in a quick and rather tight circle in a fashion to where he could examine the boy in his entirety while he was busy speaking. The boy seemed to have two pairs of daggers as well as a sword. The boy seemed to be a close range fighter who probably used his loud mouth to get his foes to rush him so he could get close. Once the quick circle was done, Max pushed off the ground with his foot again but this time it was away from the boy toward the restaurant district. "I apologize as well. I am normally not so quick to anger. The fight you so quickly brought up is a rather sore point. I unleashed all of my strength in an all out strike and yet I wasn't strong enough to take my foe. His aura..it was darker then the blackest void. It felt like he was sucking out all of my negative emotions and using them to grow stronger and make me weaker. That man..that monster is evil, probably more so then the creatures of grim that we are sworn to fight."Max spoke with an aggrivated and yet sad tone as he slowly skated down the street at a pace that his new companion could easily follow. It was rather rare to see Max actually walk anywhere for long periods of time and unlike most skateboarders who used hover boards, Max seemed to use an antique wooden board with four hard wheels. The reason for this was to counter act electricity based attacks using the wood. "I'm Max Chromium by the way. I'm the second in command of Team Smelt, SMLT for short. What's yours?"Kyle Alodis |

Seeing that Max has calmed down, Kyle takes in a deep breath, also calming himself down. After three breaths, he starts to walk after Max. "So, your name's Max, huh? But yeah, it seemed like you needed someone to joke with ya. Seriously, I've seen you in the hospital, looking miserable. But hey, as long as we're introducing each other, I'm Kyle Alodis. And if you think I'm just close range, you're wrong." After a few minutes, K yle's Aura starts to go back to normal, giving off a Slacker feeling. Then he looks over Max. 'The kid looks a bit...... Fragile. Seriously It's not even funny! Maybe that's why his Semblance is so strong.' "But yeah, let's head out! I'm hungry!"8:15 AM, Resturant DistrictTaking a closer look, he sees the board Max is standing on is wooden, so his Lightning Rounds wouldn't help there. 'Good choice on not fighting him. He'd cancel out the Bullet's effects by blocking with the board. But I would like to spar with him once he gets into a better mood. Wanna see what him and his team is capable of.'As they are walking down the street, Kyle asks, "Got a GF or thinking about having one? And if you do, how hot is she?" As they traveled, Max did his very best to keep his aura subdued and under control. He couldn't afford to lose his temper on someone who didn't deserve it. If he did that then he would be no better then the man who had defeated him and who wanted to take his life in ice cold blood. Max just listened to Kyle talk about how the boy had seen him in the hospital looking miserable. When Kyle said that Max needed someone to joke with him, this caused Max to stop in his tracks and actually step off of his board to look at Kyle. "Kyle, I lost more that day then just the fight. That man..that monster almost pushed me to cross a line that no person should in the name of victory. I was so close to crossing the unforgivable line. There is no joke that could fix that."Max's words didn't sound angry or filled with hate but yet those of a sad and slightly broken man. The young hunters eyes while still strong willed showed a deep sadness within them as if he had just lost something or someone close to him forever. It took a few moments but the young gunman once again turned away from Kyle and hopped back on his board to continue moving. As the subject of a girlfriend came up, Max just nodded and for the first time since their meeting Max seemed to smile the faintest of smiles. "I do in fact have a girlfriend. Her name is Ushio and she is also my partner and the leader of our team. She is the rock that helps our team stand against the harsh waters of the war we find ourselves in. She is the most beautiful being in all of creation."As the two entered the restaurant district, Max saw that right up ahead that a rather large looking boy was picking on a small what seemed to be Lizard faunus girl. This sight caused Max's fists to clench and without a word or a second thought, the young hunter sped up his board for a moment before jumping into the air with it and then kicking it with his foot sending it flying through the air and into the back of the boys head causing him to stumble giving the girl time to run away. As the board bounced off of the bully, Max quickly broke into a run and caught his ride before it could hit the ground. He then would hop back on and use it to jump onto the bully pinning the now afraid boy to the ground. "You make me sick. She was a CHILD! Next time you decide to pick on someone smaller then you, keep this in mind. Sometimes the small people have friends. You are twice my size and I knocked you flat on your back without the use of my weapons."Once the boy was shaking with fear, Max let him up to run off causing Max to scowl. "People who use their power to bully those smaller then them make me sick."Kyle Alodis |

Kyle just stopped. He knew what Max was feeling, but didn't want to say anything. But knowing if he doesn't say anything, it'll bug him for the rest of the week.
"*Sigh...* I'm not good with this type of stuff, but here we go. Max, I know that right now you feel like a.... Hollow shell of yourself because you felt like you can't do anything. I've felt that way too. I mean.....I lost my fair share of fights too when I've done my damnedest to win. I can tell you, it wasn't fun. But let me tell you, I sucked it up. Now I'm not trying to be mean, but YOU need to suck it up as well. YOU chose to learn become a Hunter. YOU chose to defend those who cannot defend themselves! But you don't need to lose yourself to it. I had a feeling that the guy's semblance messed with you. The way you carried yourself earlier this year, THAT was you. But this sad sack of emotions isn't.....So if you want to hang again or just talk, just come to my room. Room 48. I'm there most of the day. I may poke fun at you, but that's because I want to get to know you. I want you to shine like a Crazy Diamond." Kyle finishes, now knowing how Doctor Bill feels like. After hearing about Ushio, Kyle smiles at Max. "See? At least you have something to be happy about." 'But Ushio? Really? The timid girl? Huh. Good for her.'
Then, after the bully runs off, Kyle starts to talk in a Mock Surfer voice for the first two sentences. "Nice moves, Bro-seph! You totally did a gnarly number on him! But did you really need to make him run off like a girl? But yeah, those who want to control will use any tactic. Just the world we live in." Says Kyle, with hands behind his head as he walks. "But I've accepted it. A Hunter has to keep the balance 24/7."
After that, Kyle sees a bank up ahead, but something seems......Off. "Wait a minute. Something's up. Do you mind staying here? Cool thanks!" Kyle didn't even give Max time to answer. He rushes off, leaving a smoke clone of himself right beside Max. Four masked humans are Pinning up a Faunus-integrated bank that has both Faunus and Humans working together. "This is a message to all Faunus! We, the Anti Faunus, are tired of being treated like a joke! So until we get the respect we deserve, we will-" "Make other Humans seem like extreme Racists!" Kyle finishes, standing in the doorway. "Boss! There's a kid here!" One of the masked men says as they aim their weapons. "Hey kid! What're you doing here!?" "Stopping you so that you don't strain Faunus-Human relations any further." Kyle says, not even taking him seriously. "Listen! I'm going to give you until the count of three to get out of here! One-" The guy couldn't even get to two. As soon as he started counting, Kyle dashes toward him! The cronies, now know the 'Kid' is serious about stopping them, start firing. As they fire, a flash of Black and Silver was only seen as one of the soldiers. The dagger strikes one of the men and they fall down, unconscious. The three other men were surprised by the kid's speed! "One down, three to go. I recommend that you put down your weapons." The men then chuckle. "What're you saying? You're still outnumbered! Men, get him!" The henchmen aim at Kyle!
"Both at once? It must be my birthday!" Kyle sarcastically says as he puts his hands behind his head. The men start shooting, but Kyle seemed to know when they'll fire. Kyle weaved and bobbed in and out of the Barrage, some of them hitting his Aura and grazing his blue armored hoodie, tearing at it and Kyle's arm. After an embarrassing barrage of ammunition that was fired and missed him, they stop shooting. Not because they finally got some sense, but because they're out of ammo. "Done? Cool. Now my turn." Kyle says, now drawing the other dagger. Both Daggers were drawn, now showing the words "Black" and "Talons" on them. Kyle presses a button on them, making them both transform into Dual Machine gun Pistols. 'Don't kill. Stun.' Kyle thought to himself as he fires out a four round burst, for both men, shocking them. He then turns to see the boss and sees that he has a hostage..... A Faunus kid. "HEY!! Don't move a fucking MUSCLE! Otherwise...." He puts the gun into the boys temple, making the child whimper and start to tear up. The parents start pleading. "Shut it! Now, I'm walking, and you're allowing it to happen! Now I'm going-""Not today man." Kyle says as he presses the button on the Pistols and charges at the man. "H-hey I'm being serious! I'll Shoot-" The guy takes the gun from the kids temple, but it was too late. Kyle was already in the guy's face, and with a flash of black and silver, was taken out. After a few minutes, the boy ran back to his parents, now calmed down. Kyle just stares at him, feeling sorta......Sad. Max Chromium |

Max knew that his new friend was right. He needed to fight through the negative emotions and try to remember why he fought and who he fought for. Before Max got to respond to his friend point however, Kyle quickly rushed off to stop a bank robbery in progress and so even though he had been asked to stay put, Max silently strided after his friend with his arms behind his back while staying completely balanced on his board. Once the pair got to the scene, Max just silently observed his friend quickly deal with the many attackers while making a few mental notes. The guy had skill, that fact couldn't be denied though it as well as his aura were rough and unpolished which could lead to not only mistakes but someones death. As the fight finished, Max noted that Kyle rushed in while a hostage was still at risk which was a mistake. Once everyone was safe, Max strided over to Kyle and shook his head slightly. "You did well but you are rough around the edges. Your aura control needs some serious work and so does your battle tactics when fighting humans. You can't just rush in without a plan hoping that you'll be faster then your foe. It only takes a fraction of a second for the standard pistols trigger to cause the bullet to go through the chamber. You could have killed that child from lack of planning. If you would like, we can find somewhere private to spar and I can teach you how to become one with your aura."Max then just strode away on his board toward a small coffee shop. Once he arrived in front of the shop,Max hopped off of his board and then stomped down on the end causing it to flip into the air for him to catch. Once he caught it he slipped it into the harness that he wore on his back. Once he was done, he waited for his friend with his arms crossed. "I'll have a hot chocolate with a shot of expresso and some of those crumpet things whatever they are. Consider it payment for my training."Kyle Alodis |
