Rina Elowen? She knows her dad but as far as Daisy could recall he had not heard her name before. Would she maybe know her mother? Oh, if she could not think he would have settled down it is not like she is likely to know any more than Daisy already knew. “Last time we talked he was still doing ok. Gave up hunting several years ago, to take care of me after…. well he does occasionally help as an investigator in his spare time.” Daisy responded as she added a little sugar to Rina’s tea. She had not actually spoken to her dad since the start of the new year. Did not help dealing with her loneliness she had in Vytal. She could just tell that her father was keeping something from her and while she knew it must be the thing that he promised to explain when she turned 18 it did not make it easier to talk to him at times. “Are you applying to be a teacher here?” Daisy asked as her focus returned to the conversation at hand. Quickly changing her posture to make it look like she had not wandered off thinking about her father. “Wait! Does that mean I have made a terrible introduction!” Daisy sighed as her face quickly changed to look like this was just another time this has happened to her. Though would be the first time outside the classrooms or halls. “The skills that I have but always the same old story for me.”“I bet mum would be disappointed in me if she was here.” Daisy softly mumbles to herself, not sure if Rina could hear her, as her hands covered her face. She had to keep calm, not rush to judgment even if it is the easiest thing for her to do. She started to breathe slowly before slowly lowering her hands as she returned to normal. “I am sorry Mrs Elowen, just a person that likes to make life as difficult as possible for herself. Though you might not have to deal with me for long if you do join the teaching staff.”-------Tag: Rina Elowen

Rina listened to what Daisy said, listening closely to every word. This girl was interesting, definitely. Seemed to have a few self esteem issues though, from the way the words seemed to form themselves. Strange, she seemed confident enough when standing up to the bullies earlier. Oh well.
"Well, the old man finally gave up hunting, huh?" She chuckled a bit to herself. "Ni offense to your father. He was old when I had begun hunting. Was remarkable he was still going at his age. Look at me, in my mid 40's and already having to retire." She let out a sigh.
"I honestly thought he'd never quit."
Then Rina began thinking about the teaching position. It had actually already been granted to her. She just needed to wait until next semester to start.
"And yes, I am hoping to be a new teacher at Vytal. Though, I've never taught before. Hopefully I do an alright job..."
With this said, Daisy mentioned her Mom. It was the first time Daisy had actually brought up a mother. Was it too soon to ask? Maybe.
"The skills you have are fine, Daisy. The only thing I would ask for you to work on is to be a tad more confident. Don't second guess yourself in a fight. That can end up getting you killed."
She decided not to bring up the mother, instead opting for a bit of advice instead.
"And don't worry about apologizing to me."
With this, Rina took a sip of her drink, and waited for Daisy to respond.

Daisy sat with her cup clasped by both her hands. She put it back down on the saucer as she gave almost a slightly smirk smile to Rina’s comment about being more confident. “You might be one of the few people that has ever said I should be more confident.” Daisy said with a small chuckle but even that had some small hint of a sad undertone to it. She was different to other people that she had met before especially for someone that might become one of her teachers. “Normally I get told I am over-confident, trying to push above my weight. Getting into fights like today, though normally with a bit more punches thrown.”Though she was not going to say the fact that if it went down to numbers on the fights that she had won like that it was a lot closer than sometimes we would make it out to be. Last time she lost it was a broken nose. Her face red from the bleeding so looked like she was just wanting to match her hair. “Also, while my dad may have retired does not mean he till trains from time to time. Even if that is mostly to keep kicking me onto my backside.” Daisy said moving her hands to place them on her knees as she looked back up at the woman sitting across from her, “If it is ok can I ask you a personal question Mrs Elowen. What made you want to become a huntress?”Was that a bit too forward? It was a possible future teacher after all but it has been a thing that she had wanted to ask a huntress before. She was never 100% sure of her own reason and if it was ever right. Yeah there was part of it that just wanted to prove how good she was which is why she always pushed herself so hard but there were other reasons too. “I am sorry if that is too forward, don’t get to talk to many huntresses as an underclass student. Just still making up my mind if to stay for the next four years.”Tag: Rina Elowen

Rina listened carefully, sipping at her tea as she did. When Daisy had finished, Rina put the tea down.
"Now being overconfident is never a good thing, it means you misjudge those you're fighting. However, from the way you speak you lack confidence. Maybe not in your fighting skill, but in yourself as a person."
Rina took another sip before she spoke again.
"That's a weakness I would rather not have in one of my students. Find your inner strengths. Your fighting, you're confident in that, for example. Focus on that. Don't focus on, as you said, making other people's lives difficult. Simply focus on what makes you good. A saying I truly like, and I feel you could benefit from is this," she said, taking another sip and smiling. "We are too eager to talk about what makes us despair. Instead, we should focus on what makes us joy."
Rina cleared her throat, maybe having gotten a little too preachy there. Still, it was good advice to follow.
"As for what made me want to be a Huntress, I... Don't really remember."
Rina was fairly young when she had decided to become a Huntress. She had very little memory of it.
"I remember my father making me my first bow and teaching me how to use it before I went to the mandatory classes at the academy. When I was in there, I just remember being so fascinated by the world. I loved every bit of Hunting."
Rina took another sip.
"If I may, I would like to ask you the same."

Daisy stood up from her chair and walked back over to the sideboard. Her frustration on her face about the comment about not being confident. It was just like what her father would sit down and talk to her about. Are all adults like that? Are they just going to think she is not good enough because she is maybe a bit rash or rushes to judgment? She slammed her fist against the sideboard as a way of trying to vent her anger. Seemed to be her most effective method. “You sound like my dad! I know I may not be as calm or read the situation like her does. People could say we are sometimes like the exact opposite of each other. How I must be a damn disappointment!” Daisy vented as she took breaths to bring her anger back down. Her hand clenched up over her heart she managed to make her venting subside and return to her normal voice. “I am sorry, sometimes I do let anger get the better of me. Hardly a father’s daughter since my dad is such a calm and logical person.”Daisy opened one of the top drawers and took out a picture frame that had a picture of her and her father from around 4 years ago, the day that she first got her batons. Her father had an old friend help design them since she was fascinated with his police work. “Why I wanted to become a huntress was to protect people. Help maybe have people in the future now have to be dealt the hand I was given in my life.” Daisy said with a single tear that slowly ran down her left cheek but she kept a smile on her face, “I know my dad has not told me the real story about my mum but I know it is something that he seems scared to tell me.”Putting the frame up next to the jewelry box she placed her hand on top of it. “There are hardly any pictures of her and none of me and her. There is only one thing that I have that truly reminds me that she is connected to me still.” Daisy turned her head to look back over her shoulder at Rina. “I always felt Grimm must have been involved in some way. So, I have always wanted to try and make it so other do not lose their family or the ones they love.”-------Tag: Rina Elowen
