There was nothing more relaxing then a lazy afternoon at home! That's one of the facts that the young freshman hunter Max Chromium lived by as he walked around the team SMELT household. Their home wasn't the most fancy in the world but considering it was big enough to fit four growing hunters in training it seemed to get it's job done. The small home only had two floors to it. The upstairs contained the four bedrooms and a single bathroom. The upstairs was basically a long hallway with two bedrooms on each side of the hall and the bathroom on the end in the back. Max and Ushio's bedrooms were on the left side of the hall while El's and Shins were on the right. Despite Max having his own room, since he and his partner Ushio had become a couple he had begun spending his nights with her in her room and only using his room for storage, games or studying.
Each bedroom was up to the occupant to decorate as they saw fit but Max made sure that each bedroom did share one item in common. Each bedroom inside of their closets had a metal key pad enabled weapon and ammo locker so that the teams weapons were not spread all over the house in chunks. Max's room itself was left rather sparse. He had a wooden desk and rolling chair sitting by his room widow on the left side of the room, his twin sized bed sitting on the right side of the room, his closet in the back side of the room and a small bookshelf by the door with a small dart board above it. On the back of the door itself hung a coat hook which Max draped his ammo bag when it was empty as well as his skateboard harness containing said board when it wasn't in use.
The home's downstairs was rather simplistic in it's design. One half of the main room was used for entertainment so it had a circular love seat like couch so that the whole team could sit together with a hologram television in front of it with scroll connectivity with two shelves of movie disks on each side. On the other half of the room was the kitchen which had a large double door freezer/fridge combo with a built in ice maker with a Month long chore chart pinned to the front of it. The counter tops were a nice light brown hard wood color. The counters came in two pieces, the first piece sat against the wall where the sink was connected. On the left side of that counter sat the microwave, cutting boards, cooking knives as well as a couple cook books. The bottom of that section of that corner of the counter was where the cooking utensils and silverware were kept.
The right side of the main counter's bottom was where the oven and stove top were connected. It was a rather simplistic set up but considering it was only either Max or Ushio that used that part of the counter it seemed to get the job done. The second section of counter top was located just on the boarder of the kitchen area and was just a smooth flat surface which contained several small cabinets for cooking supplies or canned food or things that were non-perishable. It also served as a dining area of sorts with four chairs sitting on either side.
Since Max seemed to have the afternoon off from class, he decided to spend the day in the kitchen making pancakes for his team while smooth Jazz played from the TV. Max often made his pancake batter from scratch so it took slightly longer to make his pancakes though they were worth it. As Max flipped his final pancake, he caught it in the pan and sat it on a large stack of 20 pancakes on a platter plate. He then sat the platter on the dining counter with a bottle of maple syrup as well as some diced strawberries and blueberries. He then got out four plates and sets of silverware in case his team showed up.
Once his work was done, the young hunter looked himself over and sighed. He was wearing black and white striped pajama pants, black slippers, a white t-shirt and a white apron that said "kiss the cook" . He then sat down at the dining counter and grabbed himself three pancakes and put some syrup on them with some strawberries. As he cut them up he sighed and smiled.
"I wonder where everyone is."
