精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. WORDS count here NOTESStay Sad! | Looking back at Minette, Zari was at first confused. What did she mean there were students there? He glanced around expecting to see some of Vytal's finest. Yet none were to be found. That is when he remembered the topic at hand. Ser Ash and the funeral at which he disappeared. Damn I feel stupid. He thought before nodding towards an approaching Minette. The moment the Assistant Headmaster approached his ear Zari retracted. It was a reflect he developed over the years. Not from special training or technique. It was just normal to keep your space when around people your aren't close to.
Zari would glance to Minette in confusion but was only met with a whisper. Realizing her wish to keep whatever it was private, Zari leaned in. With Minette's whisper her warm breath danced onto Zari's skin. At first his hairs stood on visible ends as the sensation brought back some color into his long-since paled completion. It was almost childish how it felt to him. But the serious nature of her question caused the Professor to slow his pace and downcast. For a few more steps the man remained silent. Once they hit the next landing Zari turned to Minette and nodded. "I'll explain in your office." The man looked to his gloved hand and rubbed his thumb against the side of his index finger. The sound of cotton came from the motion.
At this point the Professor was becoming contradictory. His movements seem slower and yet Zari started to climb the stairs quicker. "The situation is..." He fought to find the words to best describe Lily's condition. How do you explain that one of your students has basically be cursed? It wasn't an easy task. "She is not in danger." His voice was kept to a whisper aimed towards Minette. There was also a look in Zari's eye; one which screamed urgency and worry. The way he looked between Minette and the stairs rapidly and the tightening of his facial muscles.
It was also a lie. A lie Zari had to repeat and chant like a mantra to himself any time Lily was mentioned. His experience with her condition and with Void Dust forced the man to think otherwise. He'd been fine for years; a decade even. Now with Lily's fresh curse his own markings had flared awake. The feeling was akin to revisiting an ancient prison in which you chained your darkest demon. Only to find it had run off to terrorize another person. How was he going to help the young woman with a problem he ran away from? That he needed outside assistance with? Zari supposed he'd have to do the best he could.
With a long moment of silence going uninterrupted, Zari finally broke it with a sigh. He'd look straight forward up the stairs and towards the next flight. "You ask so many questions that can't be answered, Miss Belrose. It isn't bad. Just reminds me you care. Which is good."

► Minette Belrose 775 words time for sad | His voice was even, and his posture straight, and his pace unbroken - but she saw the trepidation in his eyes. There was more to say on the matter, that was plainly obvious, but discussing things out in the open like this was a bad idea. She straightened herself and continued to follow behind him. She wanted to pry, both about the students, and about the event itself, but she would be patient. This was the sort of thing discussed behind closed doors, out of sight and sound from the eyes and ears of those who wished to spread rumors - not that they had been stopped. She'd heard quite the stories down the grape vine, about what had happened at the basilica. Some of them were easily brushed off as obvious falsehoods. Some of them churned her stomach with anger, insulted by the nature of the claims and allegations. Others still...
Void Dust had been tossed around as a possible culprit of some kind in the aftermath. Loathe as she was to admit it, she knew much about the cursed material. William had used it in his prosthetic, Catherine had used it once or twice on missions and had done extensive research, and both of them were very eager to share their thoughts and facts. It horrified her to think that people so young, people already sagging under the emotional weight of loss and grief, could have been subjected to such a caustic thing.
"You ask so many questions that can't be answered, Miss Belrose. It isn't bad. Just reminds me you care. Which is good."
Was that really it, though? Was she really concerned about her students, or was she just hunting for information, upset after being left in the dark once more? Her movement up to her current assistant position had been almost as sudden as her temporary reassignment to Headmaster - and that was certainly alarming and suspicious. The previous headmaster had been killed, the current headmaster was missing...what was next? Was she marked as a target by some unseen force as well now? She bowed her head and silently marched onward, beside the man who she hoped held answers to her questions.
The journey up to the office from then on was long and strained, filled with only quiet breathing and the loud echoes of footsteps against marble. It was easy to find though, very easy. In fact, it was the only room on the floor it occupied. A single pair of ornate double doors made of oak and gold, flanked on either side by a wide berth and a set of stairs that lead to the floors above. The doors were unlocked, as they were meant to be during the day so students could come in to speak if need be. She stepped forth and pushed them open, and let herself in.
The room itself was massive, easily half the size of a lecture hall, with a smooth wood floor and a far wall made entirely off windows, with the other three walls contrasting the normal white of Vytal's halls with a more even tone of warm oak paneling. Immediately in front was a furniture set, two white leather sofas and a wooden coffee table with a neat, white vase sitting on it, curiously absent of flowers, all sitting atop a decorative rug in warm colors. Further back, she could see two simple wooden chairs sitting in front of a large wooden desk that had some kind of monitor sitting atop it. It had a welcoming atmosphere, but at the same time it held that same sort of stifling menace that any large office had, in that one usually found themselves sitting in it because they had done something wrong. It was a bit childish of her, she felt, but Minette was a little intimidated by the whole affair. Especially the dense-looking stack of papers sitting beside the monitor.
"So this is...where I'll be working for now?" She stepped in, and ran a hand along the back of one of the sofas, slowly making her way towards the desk. "It's very...um..." Her eyes roved over the room as her mind attempted to finish the sentence with something that wouldn't be taken as an insult. "Spacious."
She rested her hand against the cool glass top of the desk, idly tracing a circle. She turned towards the window, and raised her head to look out over the courtyard. Few people roamed about, of course, with it being the weekend and all. The landscape was colorful, bright, and peaceful. It really was a beautiful day outside. It was truly a shame. "We should get started."

精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. WORDS count here NOTESStay on Target! | In general Zari felt the office to be an impressive and well-deserved accommodation for a Vice-Headmaster. The large room filled him with a greatness that can only be obtained by superiority. It fit perfectly for the larger woman. A towering authory with an open chamber to conduct her business. Not the mention the earthly tones and colors picked for the decorum was to Zari's liking. It reminded the man of his time with the Monks. His time was not full of joy in Cela. However being closer to nature aided greatly in his rehabilitation. And the oak paneling brought back the familiarity he once felt.
As the pair walked in Zari would close the door behind Minette. It had been only a few months ago that the Professor thought about having an office such as this one. In fact it was this very office he inquired about. To his dismay Sir Ash said it wouldn't be possible. Given his past it would be a political nightmare for Zari to gain such a seat. A part of him had minor envy, but it was covered up when he saw Minette standing behind her desk. As she fought to find her words, Minette became an enchanting figure.
"We should get started." She said to snap Zari from his mild trance.
A cough later the man nodded and came up to the desk, placing his hands on the stack of paper. "In deed. All these are most likely forms that need your attention. However before, and since we are behind closed doors, lets finish our first thought. Shall we?" The pale haired man turned around and began disrobing; hanging his red coat over the white sofa. Taking a slow seat Zari would cross his legs and placed an arm over the cushions. "On the subject of Lily Wilde. There have been some reports of a young-looking woman that assaulted the church. At the funeral Lily was attack. The weapon was not found or recovered. However the girl has been touched by Void Dust. Sad to say I know the effects and she is at a vulnerable state right now. And before you ask I am already taking measures to aid her. I might not be an expert in Dust. But this is a field I have some experience in." Reaching into his chest pocket he would pull out a small black pouch woven with white markings. "My yearly allowance of Divine Dust. Only get a few grams of it every twelve months. Since we are here I might need some more. I am taking personal care of Wilde's training. She is a freshmen but full of potential. To ensure we don't lose this potential I am making her my disciple. In addition to normal school classes she will join me for private tutoring in the fields of physical and mental preparation."
