[attr="class",izzy"] [attr="class",shizzy"] FRIENDSHIPS. Celia is easy to approach and easy to talk to. She might not be the best conversationalist, but she isn't particularly judgmental and is willing to give anybody at least a chance to get along with her. She's accommodating, to almost an unhealthy degree, and always put her friends and their problems before her own issues. Celia is incredibly forgiving and understanding, and is not a friend easily lost. That being said, it is also alarmingly easy to take advantage of her nature. HATESHIPS. These are few and far between for Celia, at least as far as she knows. She does her best to be kind and open-minded while also doing her best to be unintrusive, but she can easily come off to others as spineless or a suck-up. She is likely to make a few enemies thanks to who she is as a person, but as for hating people herself, she cannot often find it in her heart to outright reject someone in such a way. Even people she doesn't get along with or consider a friend, she does her best to maintain at least some level of decency and tact with them. LOVESHIPS. Romantic love is something Celia is woefully inexperienced with. While she loves her friends and family dearly, she has never given much thought to the idea of being in a relationship beyond the basic sort of fantasy that most people often dwell on. To truly capture her heart requires a great deal of time and effort, as Celia is a person who stakes all of her trust and affection for a person on how they treat her - but that isn't to say that lovey-dovey romanticism is the way to go. Celia needs someone confident, someone who will push her to work past her issues and become a better person. She needs the kind of person that is strong, independent, and secure in who they are - all the things she does not believe herself to be. Of course opening up to her, and allowing her to open up to them, is a big step in earning her trust. Celia doesn't really have a preference in terms of gender. | [attr="class",izzy"] Celia AbbottFemale - 17 - Freshman - Faunus profile |
[attr="class",izzy"] [attr="class",shizzy"] FRIENDSHIPS. Becoming "friends" with Agnès is relatively easy - just don't piss her off. Generally, she very easygoing and accepting, even towards people she doesn't often talk to, and is willing to at least tolerate most everybody. Just talk to her and don't say anything blatantly stupid or offensive. Becoming an actual, genuine friend is quite a bit more difficult. Agnès has an expansive internal world that not even her mother knows much about, in fact, the only one who currently knows anything going on in the girl's head beneath the surface is Celia - and even then it is only a basic understanding. To get Agnès to trust you, to really trust you, you have to show her that you are willing and able to understand her when she tells you something personal. You don't have to help her, you don't even have to comment, she just wants you to listen. HATESHIPS. As someone who constantly picks fights and just generally angers other people, Agnès has a lot of these - though very few that she can name off the top of her head. If you make her mad, you go right here. If she makes you mad, and you make it obvious that she made you mad, you go here - even if she's the one at fault. LOVESHIPS. To be perfectly honest, Agnès doesn't care much about "love" as she's come to understand it in her limited view of the concept. She's all for the whole "friends with benefits" thing, or even the odd fling every now and then, but dating is something she hasn't given much thought to in quite a while. Her life is a busy and stressful one, and she doesn't want to be weighed down by something like maintaining a relationship. Maybe she could be convinced, given time and patience. Agnès herself attracted to both genders, but has a preference for girls. | [attr="class",izzy"] Agnès BelroseFemale - 20 - Senior - Faunus profile |
[attr="class",izzy"] [attr="class",shizzy"] FRIENDSHIPS. Minette does her best to befriend most everyone she meets, be they friendly or unfriendly themselves. She is a kind and patient woman who radiates warmth and kindness in the way that only a stereotypical loving mother could. She takes the time to talk to anyone who comes to her, though she will rarely open up about herself to people who are merely her friends, but she is always willing to help others sort out their own issues. She will go out of her way for her friends no matter what, and will almost never ask anything in return for her many kindnesses. If you show her you're willing to do the same for her, she'll open up gradually and begin to really trust you. She'll confide in you, gradually more and more about her past, as current events have rarely gotten to her quite as much, but you should never push if she remains vague or indirect about certain things. Once you've lost her trust, it's gone. Forever. Be supportive, but not advisory. Her mistakes are her own to fix, and she doesn't need anybody getting themselves involved on her behalf. HATESHIPS. Minette has hated many people in her life, but few have remained so hated for very long. Once Minette returned from her first mission post-school, she was a very different woman than the riled-up Fang-raised child that had entered the academy. For Minette to truly hate anyone, they must breach her trust, or hurt what she loves. Both cases, while rare, have indeed been met on at least one occasion. The ones to breach her trust were her own parents. When she returned from her first mission, after she had almost died and then had her revelation, her parents told her that they had arranged a marriage between her and the heir of another clan, as they had done to her brother. She fled after that, and has held that hatred in her heart to this day - it is what fueled her to return to Menagerie and renounce her name. The second, was by the person who murdered the only man she ever loved - William Abbott. She would kill them with her own hands if she ever got the chance, but she doesn't know who or where they are. LOVESHIPS. In a shocking display that would embarrass her daughter, Minette is quite inexperienced romantically. The only real spark of anything beyond friendship was something she got from William, and with him gone, she has not felt it since. To be Minette's lover is to trust and respect her fully and completely and accept her for even her greatest flaws, but indeed concede that she is flawed. Do not offer to fix her problems for her, but remain stalwart in your stance when she rejects help entirely. Don't shower her with compliments and act all lovey-dovey with her - she doesn't want that. She wants someone who will push her buttons and pat her shoulder, someone who will help her on her way to becoming a better person and owning up to her mistakes. Minette is heterosexual. | [attr="class",izzy"] Minette BelroseFemale - 42 - Vytal Faculty - Faunus profile |
[attr="class",izzy"] [attr="class",shizzy"] FRIENDSHIPS. Being Alice's "friend" is very, very simple. If you have valuable information on something or someone, you're in. Granted, this friendship is mandatory, and that mandate is strictly enforced by her two underlings. The more you talk, and the more valuable the information, the higher up you are on her contacts list. If you want to be a real friend to Alice, though, you need to show her that you are her equal - or at least, can hold your own against her. She doesn't take weak, stupid, unskilled brats, she only takes those she hand-picks. And yes, take is the right word here. Much like "friendship," her friendship is not opt-in. Be prepared for a lot of touching and borderline-sexual remarks. HATESHIPS. Criminal, hero, and commoner alike, Alice hates most people in this world. She can tolerate many of them, and interact with a great deal of them, but make no mistake - this world is an ugly stain in the shape of what a real utopia should be. She sees people, humans and faunus alike, as horribly abominations that need to be purged from the earth so that the world may be born anew from the ashes. Basically, talk to her and show her that you have nothing of value to her, and you're on the list. Hell, even people that do have something valuable often make the list. Honestly, chances are she hates you and always will. LOVESHIPS. Hah! Good luck with that. | [attr="class",izzy"] Alice CornellFemale - 41 - Criminal - Human profile |

[attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Marcie Marcie Abbott [attr="class","denag"] Marcie (born Marceline Beaumont) is Celia's mother, a fox faunus hailing from Menagerie, elder of the Beaumont twins, who moved to a settlement east of Rift alone after fleeing from an arranged marriage. She is a master archer skilled with the use of aura, with very little formal combat training, who is still strong enough to keep safe from Grimm under her own power. She met William when he and his team were sent out on a mission to eliminate a nest of Grimm between the settlement and the outer limits of Rift, when William was in his Junior year at Vytal Academy. They got along fairly well off the bat, and William kept in contact with her until he returned after graduating. They got married and had a child, and a few years later she was introduced to Minette, who moved into the settlement with her own daughter. The two have been close since William's death.
Currently she's still an active hunter in the forest back in the settlement, but she lives alone while Celia attends Vytal. Celia's semblance, "Refract," is one of three genetic semblances that run in her mother's side of the family. Marcie, however, has one of the other semblances, "Reflect." Nobody is really sure how it works, as she never seems to actually use it. [attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Lilith Lilith Abbott [attr="class","denag"] Lilith is the older sister of the late William Abbott, a Hunter of great skill and discipline with a blade. At 54, her many decades of experience and training have molded her into a force to be reckoned with - not that anybody dares to challenge her. As all in the Abbott family are, Lilith is a member of the Legion Special Forces, and operates as an experienced soldier on solo missions and in command of units on campaigns. As of late, her loyalty to Barnett has waned. Tension in her family is high as people begin to quietly take sides.
She searches for the truth about her brother's death, using all of the connections she has made in an effort to build on the few details she was given surrounding his mission and how he was found. She suspects he was murdered. In more recent missions she has taken on a partner by the name of Koga, a warrior of equal skill specialized in such a way that they easily cover one another's weaknesses. Together, they take on hunts considered far too difficult for everyday Hunters, and operate outside of their nations as a pair of "ambassadors."
Her semblance is called "Twilight's Anguish", it is a destructive force of raw energy that she infuses into her blade to exponentially increase its power. With this immense power in each of her strikes, combined with her immense aura and own power, Lilith is able to carve through most enemies with swift ease.
[attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Ivory Ivory Rhodes [attr="class","denag"] Ivory is the second member of Team CRWM, a snow hare faunus. He is a cunning and brutal martial artist with incredible control over aura and raw dust - and a surprising amount of anger in his tiny frame. Originally hailing from Pinnacle, born the poor son of a con artist who used his illusory semblance to swindle people out of their money. He attended Vytal for his underclassman years, and refused to go back when he reached the age where he could become a freshman and continue his schooling to become a full Hunter. His father didn't care. "Good riddance," he said.
At Vytal, Ivory became friends with his team - in particular, his partner Catherine. After about a year and a half of constant bickering, that is. While she always dodged questions about why she decided to become a Huntress, Ivory was one of the few people she dropped her facade for. They were both people with strange and unfortunate origins, people who had decided to live this life to try and eke out a name for themselves in a world that had spat on them from the start. He respected her, and she respected him. The two of them operated on team CRWM, originally as part of partner counselling, but continuing as one of the few four-man teams formed at the Academy.
More recently, he joined the White Fang. When Minette returned to Menagerie to renounce her membership and her name, he confronted her.
Ivory now resides in Menagerie, pending a trial for aiding in the escape of a wanted fugitive. He has remained mostly out of contact with everyone for some time, other than the odd postcard or letter to Minette. His Semblance, "A Silent Film" is illusory in nature, creating a bubble of complete silence from himself, that mutes the color tones of everything in it to grayscale - leaving everything within it unable to exit for an amount of time. While not a particularly useful semblance in and of itself, Ivory uses it to terrifying effect.
[break] [attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Giselle Giselle Beaumont [attr="class","denag"] Giselle is a fox faunus hailing from Menagerie, a Huntress trained in the use of razor-sharp wire traps and throwing knives, and the younger of the Beaumont twins. Giselle was cast from her home after failing to prevent her sister's escape, and spent the subsequent decade of her life searching for Marceline. Her journey led her to Setek, where she met (and subsequently lost a fight to) Alice Cornell, becoming an unflinchingly loyal servant and a valuable asset to her cause.
In the service of Alice, she carried out personal and professional mission alike, finding her sister - but unable to convince her to return. Without her sister, and without a home to return to, she remains in the service of her mistress, Alice, along with her partner Lucia.
Giselle's semblance is one of three passed down through her family, and is coincidentally the same one her niece has. Giselle's "Refract" is a far more powerful and refined version of Celia's, enabling her to create three times as many clones and only using a fraction of the amount of Aura. In conjunction with her weapons and immense speed, Giselle is able to set up massive nets and other traps with her razorlike wires.
[attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Lucia Lucia Castellanos [attr="class","denag"] A human girl born and raised in the outskirts of Setek, to a dysfunctional family. While she tries her best to forget her past life, she nonetheless still carries the scars that it left her with. After fleeing her home, she was picked up by Alice and Giselle when she attempted several times to mug them with the gun she stole from her father's desk drawer.
Lucia fears and loves Alice, almost in the same way a psychologically damaged child would fear and love their abusive parents. She is loyal to her, not just in the name of the cause, but out of a desire to repay her for giving her life meaning and purpose. So she says.
Lucia's semblance is simply called "Draw", and allows her to see anything within a 20 yard radius of her, regardless of if she is looking at it. On a more active level, it allows her to "trace" single targets in order to extend the effect in a line of sight that ends at the mark, able to trace it up to 50 yards away. Paired with her high-power dust cartridge revolvers and the enhanced reflexes gained from years of gruelling training beneath her mistress, Lucia is a gunslinger of near-unparalleled skill.
[attr="class","moos"] [attr="class","vdfr"]Koga Koga Fujimoto [attr="class","denag"] The older brother of Kita Fujimoto, the last standing legitimate heir to the Fujimoto clan of Menagerie. Like his sister, he is large in stature and trained in the use of deadly martial arts techniques. At 54 years old, he is unmarried, and unwilling to be married - not after his parents tried to force him into a marriage with Marceline Beaumont after he had just graduated from Vytal Academy.
He is an active agent of the White Fang that operates on missions outside Menagerie, both in the name of his people and the name of his family. He searches for his lost sister, and for the Beaumont twins, all in an effort to answer his own personal questions and concerns. In conjunction with his recently acquired partner, Lilith, he has taken to operating on other levels as well, taking on difficult and demanding search and destroy missions and the like.
His semblance is called "Hanami", a vision-based ability that has two distinct forms and uses. The primary ability comes into play when both of his eyes are closed, Koga can feel the "flow" of things around him, and effectively predict how he should move in a given situation before the need to move has even arisen. This allows him to plan quick escapes and dodge seemingly unavoidable attacks. The second ability can burn and damage his eyes if it is used for too long, but allows him to take a look into the past of people and things when he looks at them with at least one eye open. The images do not play out in a consistent or understandable amount of time, a year of someone's life can take anywhere from ten seconds to two minutes for him to be able to process, depending on the gravity the events held for the subject. It is also worth noting that Koga can see events in the subject's past regardless of if the subject themselves actually remember said events. Koga lost reliable sight in his right eye as a child, and while he has never wanted a replacement, he has discovered that using it as a conduit is a safe and reliable way to use his semblance without the damaging effects its secondary function can bring to his eyesight - though it still comes with the pain.
