GETTERMAN TWENTY-EIGHT (28) MARCH 16 (03/16) | MALE CRIMINAL HUMAN | |
GETTURIAS SABLIER |
★ APPEARANCE
Get could be described as something that was once seen as princely. He is 5'11" and weighs about 200 pounds, although he doesn't know this. His build is fairly muscular, seeing as he has to be to keep up with the grimm that follow him around. His dark black hair, once kept short and silky was now long(for a male) and ragged with the only use of the brush used to part it to the side. Get's eyes are atypical, in that unlike most of his siblings, he inherited vibrant yellow eyes from his mother. However, these eyes of his are plagued by a red outline predominant around the edges of the eyelids, one of the physical side effects of his continued use of Void Dust. He is also a proud owner of his father's somewhat apparent jawline.
His attire is typically that of more neutral colors, with no real specific style to how he goes about dressing casually, however whenever he does deviate from his normal colors, Get tends to pick a standard green. His battle attire shows this affinity for this, as it bares continuous green highlights across the chest piece and bits of leg armor, which sport a metallic black coloration. The under armor that Get wears in tandem with this spans across his whole body, albeit in upper and lower body segmentations, which is a dull grey, supported by a yellow belt full of small items.
Also on his person at all times is a miniaturized ventilator, something that was required after his initial use of Void dust.
★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Growing up, Getturias Sablier had a life that many could only dream of. He was raised in a large home, with a loving and doting doting family of Royalty. His father, Percival, not being the one to inherit the throne due to being younger then Eisen, was instead one of the members of the local ruling council of Rift and grew up fairly close to his brother, Eisen in his eyes. Getturias's mother was that of a typical upper class stay at home mother, helping the maids with both Getturias and his four other siblings as they grew up in a warm, loving home.
As time passed, Getturias had a typical childhood. He was trained in manner, and how to carry himself. Also as per family rituals, he was trained how to fight with swords in a style that was both effective, but also filled to the brim with finesse, while also learning how to be a leader at a young age. He met other council members at parties that his immediate or extended family hosted, but he also had a plethora of best friends. They were his siblings and cousins. After all, the closest to the heart were the family, so it made sense. However, it was because of his royal upbringing that he'd never really made friends with anyone outside of his family. There had been efforts made, such as the time a well renowned astronomer who was expecting a child soon. It was awkward, and Get didn't know how babies worked at the time.
As he turned 13, Percival enrolled Get into Vytal as he figured first hand experience with the real world would do the boy some good. This was not with a series of intense debates from between Get's parents, which occasionally involved his aunts and uncles, but eventually his father's side prevailed. What good would a future leader be, if he just grew up sheltered and knew nothing about the world he'd be leading? It was this that won the others over for the most part, and then he was sent off happily to a world which he'd never experienced before, after being told, either seriously or jokingly not to fall in love with the commoners, as they needed future heirs of the to be pure. About a week later, Getturias Sablier had his first crush.
His time at Vytal was a wonderful experience for him to learn, but it was also incredibly eye opening. Get learned that people wouldn't make his bed or fetch him for class. Teachers would ignore him if he was late, and aside from the intrigue earned from being part of the Rift royal family, and a few seemingly forced attempts to court him, no one really cared that he was royal. Needless to say, it was a huge culture shock, and after about two years of gradual change, Get had managed to fix all the problems that seemed to be before him. This was not including the fact that he was not the best at everything; yes, he was well learned in most subjects, but some people just seemed to bear a higher aptitude for certain subjects than he.
The rest of his years at Vytal were fairly uneventful. He'd had a few crushes, two girlfriends that he didn't tell his family about (they knew), fairly simple missions that did occasionally require a large amount of courage. Now, it was also during these years that he did develop a weapon to rely on outside of his personal Eisenheim Arsenal. It was light gatling gun that featured four revolving barrels and was about the size of a large shotgun. It's main type of fire used Purple dust, while the alternate fire was that of pink dust. Getturias had named the weapon Hermes, and it was probably his favorite thing in the world.
After graduating from Vytal, and becoming a full fledged hunter officially recognized by the four kingdoms, Get had come to love the life of a hunter, and while he did enjoy the occasional dabble into royalty, he preferred the simpler, less complicated life of a hunter. And then he came up with a compromise with his parents after they were seemingly rigid in their position. What if he became an Public Relations Official for the Rift Royal Family? Yes, they had their public speeches, but from what he had seen, aside from those speeches of grand renown, the family was mostly left alone and occasionally left bad impressions on those they ruled over. This loosened their stance, but it still took several months to get their official approval. And at the age of twenty-two, Getturias Sablier became an officially active hunter to act directly on behalf of the royal family. The four years following were mostly uneventful. Over time, he'd been given the nickname "Prince". There were a few big fights, and his mother did get scared, but he never had to come back to the hearth.
Now, after those four years, that is when his life changing mission as a hunter had occurred. It started as a typical White Fang breakup mission, but when they got to the building where the Fang were supposedly hiding, it turned out to be much more than what was initially stated. As it were, it turns out HQ had been misinformed about what all was transpiring. It turns out the Fang, or at least this particular sect, was dabbling in Void Dust Trade, and involved with this were several highly wanted Fang members, whom the hunters were told to approach with the utmost caution. They didn't, and that is where almost everything went south; two of Get's group had been killed, two more were injured, and the last two or three scattered, with the medic being one of them. It was at this moment, that Getturias Sablier's actions would cause him to unknowingly fall from Grace approximately 6 hours from now. It was in this moment of need, a need of power for a pure and noble cause, that Getturias had called out to the crystallized embodiment of darkness and corruption. It was here that he blacked out, and when he came to several hours later, the bodies of the Fangs around him were a mangled, bloody mess, and his comrades were nowhere to be found. Get later figured out that they all had ran after seeing what he had done. Get had physically felt horrible, and it was hard to breathe. Everything came out ragged and he was constantly struggling to breathe. Luckily his car was nearby and he could get back home, or so he thought.
On his way home, despite feeling horrible, he had felt proud about what he had done, not thinking about the repercussions the use of the forbidden dust would have. He had prevented criminals from largely hurting the populace. It was one of those things a proud son called home about. On the phone, his father came off as happy with what had happened. When Get got home, he found all of his belongings outside with a note that simply said, "We're sorry! You're actions, if the word spread, will tarnish the family's name." About an hour later, he'd received his last paycheck as a hunter. A day later, he watched his own funeral. It was unbelievable, he'd been...abandoned for saving his comrades. Yes, he dabbled into something he shouldn't have, but it was better than letting those criminals get away with it, and killing those hunters he had with him, wasn't it?
It was this wedge that turned Getturias to a path of hate, and that of a criminal, but it was his actions as a hero that led to him becoming the thing that he strove to strike down. By being exiled by his own flesh and blood, he steadily progressed into a self sufficient madman who had been left with an untreated corrosive condition that would only worsen by his addiction to power, and his desire for revenge, or maybe it was acceptance. It could've easily been one or the other, but now it was hard to tell, as all that was in this "dead man"'s heart now, was hate.
*As he is officially labelled dead, despite continuing to go by his first name, no one aside from bloodline relatives would know Get's true identity.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Aside from his Eisenheim Arsenal, Get has one other weapon that he relies on for combat, and that is his customized, highly portable Gatling Gun named Hermes. Hermes is a quadruple, revolving barreled gatling gun that is a bit larger than the size of a large shotgun, something that served as the original base component for the weapon. It features a large ammo drum that contains about 600 rounds, and is loaded underneath the gun. This form of the gun features an inovative use of dust, although it can only be practically be used with Violet Dust. Get doesn't load up bullets filled with Violet Dust to propel them at speeds faster than normal. No, that would be far too costly for the weapon of choice he uses. Rather, for the gatling gun, he has the firing mechanism lined and imbued with Violet Dust that triggers the bullets to propel themselves faster with a light touch of his Aura, without having to expend so much dust in the process.
However, the gun is owner to an even more destructive, yet lesser known mode of alternate fire. The transformation between the modes of fire is subtle, and largely internal, forcing an eject of whatever ammo might currently be loaded up as the loading mechanism shifts from the bottom of the gun to the guns top. The transformation that is seen outside, aside from the loading mechanism shift, is that the front body of Hermes shifts forward a few inches, hiding the barrel, preparing itself as an amplifier for what will soon come to fire. This form of Hermes uses both Pink Dust Cartridges that are super heated when the trigger is pulled and Violet dust to create a destructive beam that emits from the gun. However, this can only be used once every three minutes, as the gun has to cool off from the heat of the blast. As a result, the entire gun would typically be rendered unusable for those three minutes, unless Get felt like building a new one from scratch.
MISC.
This section should include all everything your character uses that isn't explicitly tied to their weapon. This can include, but is not limited to; extra Dust, sidearms, miscellaneous equipment, and more. You do -not- need to include anything that isn't generally carried on their person (for example, a winter cloak would not have to be included here, and in that case it should probably go in your APPEARANCE section).
In regards to equipment, Getturias always has his ventilator on his person, constantly pushing oxygen in keeping his breathing steady at all times, meaning despite his body tiring, his breath will never properly become ragged. Also on his person is a bullet proof, and somewhat dust resistant cloak, made of a material that spreads energy upon contact; coincidentally, it also serves as a wonderful blanket. Lastly, usually on his person, he keeps and extra drum or so of ammo, and 3 pink dust ammo cartridges. Though he doesn't immediately resort to it's use, Get
Getturias's aura now is much like it was previously, save for a few seemingly minor differences in color and feeling. His aura by itself is a bright cyan that flows from his body in an amorphous shape, although the color is collected and apparent, however, black, flickering sparks that look like electricity are often seen fluttering throughout the span of his aura. The feelings given off by his aura are initially cheery and happy, but close attention to them reveals a dark, overwhelming sense of dread and despair.
Also with the activation of Get's aura is the Witch's Mark that manifests on his right hand, apparent through any armor he wears to cover it, a signal of the pact he had made with the darkness for power, almost like he made a deal with the grimm themselves.
Throughout his years of training as both a student and on the job as a hunter, Get's managed to manifest some fairly effective aura based abilities, which were Mending, and both the Offensive and Defensive Enhancements.

SEMBLANCE NAME
Here is where you will describe your Semblance. This should be several sentences in length, and include any and all details pertaining to this power. Include the cosmetic details (if it causes your character's Aura to glow, causes a physical change on their body, stirs up different feelings in its presence, etc), as well as a detailed explanation as to what the Semblance does. The more detailed you are here, the better!
Getturias Sablier's semblance which is that of the Sablier von Eisenheim bloodline: the Eisenheim Arsenal, an almost mystical semblance which has been passed down from generation to generation. It manifests itself as a series of hovering weapons that look to be made of glass but in actuality, are far from it. Get was lucky to inherit the four weapon limit that the bloodline had only recently managed to develop.
The four weapons that have manifested themselves in Get's aura simple in design, and each serves a different use. Coincidentally, each one also represents a key aspect of being a leader of sorts that Get was groomed to be. The first of the weapons is a scythe, long and once elegant, potentially even describable as beautiful, is now twisted along it's handle and grip, gnarled at the base and head; it represented and alluded to the leader being a farmer, and the people his crops, one must harvest what was given to them, lest it all be put to waste. The second weapon of his arsenal is that of a battle axe, large and powerful, which told of how the leader needed to be aggressive when he needed to. Now it simply told a story of a barbarian. The third weapon that resided within the semblance was a straight lance, thin and refined, much like a leader should be, but also inflexible and rigid until it might break. The last weapon is the broadsword, and Get's least used part of the manifested semblance. The sword stands for the true defender, for one can only truly defend if they are willing to take. Both the sword and the lance are the least corrupted manifestations of Get's aura.
Unlike his cousin's and sibling's manifestation, Getturias's Arsenal never developed the "Eisenheim Jump", leading the family, along with himself to believe that his version of the semblance is that of a weaker strain due to the lack of such a resourceful ability.
Weaker strain or not, the excessive contiguous use of the Arsenal still induces what is simply called throughout the family as "Arsenal Stasis", which is a brief period of extreme fatigue, a feeling, which for Get at least, is akin to having all of his aura drained. Now, this can be immediately dispelled, if but for a small price proportional to the ever expanding drain that the stasis induces per time being triggered in the same scenario of combat.
