Reap My Heart
Charming. She thought quietly to herself as she finally found herself upon the island that Vytal rested. Her ebony eyes scanned the area once over, and then twice. It was everything she hoped for... and it was quite disappointing. She heaved a sigh as she stood at the gates entrance. Flowers popped up here and there across the sidewalks. She reached down and plucked one from the ground, her tall figure bending into a crouching position as her long slender arm outstretched, small fingers grasped the plant and plucked it with a simple tug. She grunted before pulling her hand to her face with flower in-tact. It was something of a small thing, a tiny yellow flower with purple speckles all over. She sniffed lightly and made a face, while pretty, the flower had no scent that was worth smelling. Stuck with it now, I suppose... She thought in silence before standing and tucking the flower like a pin into her scarf. She groaned weakly and looked down at her attire. Leather jacket with a hood to hide easily, check. Weapons, both Soul and Reaper were present. She carried a small backpack slung over one shoulder that carried her extra dust, magazines, and a few extra clothing pieces in case she got into a fight that ruined her outfit. She stared at her hands, finger-less gloves covering scars that were quite ugly. Today she wore a button up shirt as if she had to impress someone.
Which, she didn't. She looked towards the path that led to the school and sighed heavily. She had a debt to pay, and a dream to follow and she almost couldn't take the first few steps to doing so. She was a decent fighter, though she knew others could easily best her. Her sharp glance was thrown to where the activity of the school seemed to be. There would be a good starting place, a place where she could watch students interact and get a feel for the place while she kept her distance. She started walking, her steps large in comparison to some people. Her stride was smooth and graceful for someone so impatient and unwilling to be ladylike. She inhaled sharply as the crisp spring air hit her with a warm breeze. She grunted lightly, not quite a fan of the spring. She enjoyed Autumn most, but alas she couldn't have everything her way. She sneezed lightly, ducking her head into her arm before looking up and tripping over a student. "Sorry" She muttered before darting away slightly by taking larger steps than before. She didn't want some dumb student getting in her way and arguing with her about how she wasn't looking where she was going.
Even the thought of arguing with another student was both amusing and annoying. She scrambled into the crowd of students, seeing some as her height and others... not so much. Seemingly she wouldn't be able to fully disappear in the crowd. She made her way past small shops in the courtyard, some catching her attention but quickly she would remind herself that she wasn't there to shop. She wandered around until she spotted an empty bench with a small black bag beside it. Oh ho, whats this? She walked forward and bent down to pick up the bag. On second thoughts, better not be considered a thief on my first day here. She set it back down, curious to meet the owner and to guard it from potential thieves, she sat down on the bench awkwardly crossing her legs and leaning back slightly. She was tired and her body was aching for sleep, she hadn't been able to get some actual rest for the past few days mainly because she was anxious to start her work to become a Huntress.
She sighed, letting her head settle into a comfortable position as students passed by and squealed over shops and talked about fights and subjects they had struggled to learn. Seniors picked on Freshmen and it seemed to be a normal school. She smirked lightly, Terra was highly amused by the actions of students that would one day be Hunters and Huntresses. Enjoy life while you can, cause it won't last long. Trust me, I know that much. I have fought all my life and I know it's not peaches and cream. She thought bitterly to herself, her eyes narrowing into an angry stare. Some girls that passed spotted her and instantly started whispering. As if instinct, Terra hissed under her breath at them.
She shook her head bitterly and crossed her arms tightly against her chest. Black eyes scanned the area once more, taking in the site of the students. Some carried their weapons, others must have stored them elsewhere for safety. Her slender hand touched the hilt of one of her weapons as if to make sure she had protection in case of a random attack. She slid her hand back up to rest on her other arm. She was very impatient and was growing tired of waiting on the owner of the small black bag. Deciding it wasn't worth her time, she picked it up and opened it, not finding anything interesting she figured finding a lost and found would be her best bet. She breathed in silence as she stood up and asked the nearest tiny shop where she could find a lost and found. She got a few odd stares at first but finally was given an answer. Across the courtyard was a small place people put lost things in order for their owners to find them. Terra nodded her thanks and turned, walking in the direction she had pointed.
It took a few moments to push past students and stumble her way across the courtyard. She made it to what looked like the shop-keeper had described to her. She grimaced in anger. It was a dump that was obvious a place they sent newer students as a joke. She was angry to the point she punched a trash can and stormed back to the bench she had been seated at. She dropped the black bag where it had originally been found and she snorted in anger. How could she fall for something like that? Of course the students would pull a prank on her. That's how it went. She gritted her teeth and breathed heavily in an attempt to calm herself. She kicked the ground slightly with her boots, anger filled eyes glaring at students that passed her.
Walk. Talk. Think.
