★ APPEARANCE
Helios is a rather enigmatic and intimidating-looking man with a tall stature, but if one lays eyes on him for the first time, then it is his amber colored iris' that people's attentions are often drawn to. They often describe it as a 'furnace', almost as if there is something is burning within him. Though they look somewhat somber, and angry to boot, one could actually still see the casual confidence that he exudes as a seasoned fighter.
The man stands at 6' 3", and sports a rather messy brown hair tied up to a long pony tail which reaches down to the end of his back, but because the style he sports tends to get in the way of his eyes in the midst of a battle, Helios is always seen wearing a red headguard etched with the words that say: 'ROCK YOU', which keeps his already unruly-looking hair from falling down towards his face. In addition to this, the man gives off a rather unwelcoming air to those that approach him due to the intimidating aura that he gives off. He is extraordinarily well-built for a knight to a point one could almost wonder what kind of things he'd gone through.
If not for the tattoo on his back which symbolizes his loyalty to the previous king of the Rift as well as his standing rank among his fellow Knights, one would almost never expect that Helios was indeed a Knight of the Rift. However, it is hardly ever shown because of the clothes he wears. While his clothes change depending on the weather, one could hardly ever see him coming out of anything other than the combination of red and black.

★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
It was a story like any other. A man falls in love with a woman, and the woman concieved a child, but as the times went by, the husband's love for his wife had gone cold. Life was harsh in Rift, and he'd become a slave of his own demise. Drinking, gambling and borrowing money from others to a point that he had a debt that he could no longer pay. The stress turned to frustration, frustration turned to anger, and anger turned to violence which he'd begun to express out on the woman that he once loved. Every night, she'd suffer for his rage and on one rainy evening before her child's birth, she ran from home, bloodied, broken and bruised, beaten from head to toe. Enraged, the woman's drunken husband chased her down the streets of the kingdom with a knife held in his hand, swearing curses that he'd kill her if she ran from him any further.
However, she couldn't run very far, and was forced into hiding. On that night, before her dying breath, she gave birth to a child and cradled the boy in her arms in hopes of keeping him alive long enough in hopes of keeping him alive long enough for someone to spare her child. As the arrival of dawn neared, a young heiress from a house of 'Albion', known to be a family of knights heard a baby boy crying. When she came across such a horrific scene of a bloodied corpse of the child's mother, the heiress' heart went out for her and decided to take the boy in as her own in her memory. From then on, the boy became named as 'Helios', because she saw him at the sunrise.
Because of his background, Helios was unable to become a Knight, or fully be part of the 'Albion' family. Instead, his place among them was something akin to an indentured servant, though his standard of living was obviously better compared to most. He was given a full education as per orders of the heiress who'd adopted him, a good meal, accomodation and even medical care by the best doctors of their family. However, in turn, Helios' daily life revolves around chores. Doing laundry for his fellow 'brothers' and 'sisters', cleaning the hallways, wiping the dishes with maids and butlers. However, in the distance, the boy couldn't help but envy the members of his family training to be knights for the Rift. There were times when he imagined having a sword of his own, swinging it along side his brothers-in-arms, but at the same time, he realized that it was an impossible dream. Even so, he picked up little bits of training whenever he could when he saw his brothers and sisters practice, even practicing them even in his own room.
At his eleventh birthday, when Helios was stopped by the oldest child of the Albion family. A next heiress, who was a year older than he. She accused of him seeing them practice, that he'd broken the family code that a servant can never hold a sword in their hand. In spite of his argument, the girl challenged the boy, and afterwards beat him senselessly as if he were no more than a dog to her with a training sword made out of wood. "There is no place for you among us at 'OUR' round table," She'd spoke to him, "You're born without a name, identity.... You don't even know where you are from. You're just some street rat that our mother simply happened to have picked up. Be grateful you are getting this much, ingrate."
Since that day, Helios was less like human being by his siblings. He was beaten, belittled and was often bullied because of of his background, because he wasn't like them. It wasn't all that strange to see him without cuts and bruises since that event, and it drove the boy on the urge of suicide. If it weren't for the heiress of the Albion watching over him, then perhaps he would've been long gone. She took notice of the boy's plight, and despite the punishments she'd given to her children for doing terrible things to Helios, the harassment became worse with each day. Therefore, she sent Helios off to Cela Monasteries to live with one of her older brothers living there as a monk for a time until she felt that he was ready to come home.
Though Helios was never directly indoctrinated - nor took part in the any of the classes, he did show an active interest in them. This was brought to an attention to the heiress' relative who started to investigate the boy to measure up his potential. Though the boy was unwilling at first, he was able to eventually open up to the man with much counseling and inner healing, and eventually to everyone else in the monastery. To him, the Cela felt more at home than it did with the noble family of Albion who treated him more as a furniture than a person (save for the heiress).
As the boy grew up in the monasteries, he showed a great deal of potential as a natural fighter, and his love for 'improvisation' and 'deviation' from their typical training regiments was noted by some of the instructors, but his violent tendencies that's been built up from the stress since the years he's lived under Albion was started to become a danger to the fellow monks-in-training. Thus, on any combat-oriented classes, he was always kept under a strict watch to make sure that he didn't go overboard, but with series of psychological treatments from the monks, Helios was eventually able to keep himself from going any further than he needed to. Though, his love for brawling seemed to remain.
However, Helios' training was cut short when the heiress of the Albion house called him back home once more. Unable to keep the boy from staying here under her sister's orders, heiress' brother sent him on the child on his way back to the Rift where his 'mother' awaited him. This resulted in his training being largely left incomplete. When he returned to his motherland, he was welcomed back with open arms by the head of Albions, though his foster siblings felt otherwise about their supposed return of their 'brother'. Thus, they began to plot out a way to bring disaster to his daily life as they had when he lived under them, but little did they know, Helios became a completely different individual than before.
When the siblings attempted to bully him the same way they did, Helios retaliated. Unlike before, he was able to best the siblings, who were fully trained to be knights - as well as the next heiress of Albion family. The head of Albion, who came across this scene saw the growing potential within the boy and immediately contacted her brother in the monasteries, asking him what he'd done with her son and she never intended for him to hold a sword in the first place. Unlike her other children, the heiress only intended Helios to live a normal life. Her brother, in return told her that the world would need people like him and told her that she should ask the boy what he truly wanted and let him make the decision in which direction he wanted his own life to take instead.
Thus, heiress did as she was told and asked Helios discreetly by meeting him in a one-on-one session. Helios, never forgetting his dream, told her that he wanted to become a knight like the rest of his siblings, but as the family traditions stated, she wasn't able to make him one. However, she told him that he could get close to it, and enrolled him into the Vytal academy where he'd be able to continue his training. There, he met three of his own fellow students that he managed to get especially get close to unlike everyone else throughout the years that he spent as a hunter-in-training. They became what seemed like an inseparable team, but after graduation, Helios broke away from his teammates to chase after the dream he'd sought after for so long and put himself on an active service in the Rift.
Small at first, Helios' feats were eventually spread far and wide throughout the kingdom as one of the most powerful hunters on their side. With successful hunts on both Grimm and notorious criminals in Rift by himself in all accounts, he was one day brought before the king, and became a knighted at long last, fulfilling his dream. However, without a last name, the king was not able to establish a noble house for him, and thus gave him a new name to go by in addition to the name that Albion had given him: Helios Argyris.
However, a trouble was brewing amongst the ranks of his fellow knights. A simple commoner, a nobody like him of all people with a questionably shady background becoming a knight of the Rift was an unthinkable thing to them. Throughout many of his campaigns, Helios exceeded his fellow peers, making many of the knights grow envious of his military-related successes, and the honors he'd received. They feared him, thinking that he'd only continue to rise in his rank and rule over them. Not only that, he'd already gained the trust of the king, as well as his friendship, even taking orders directly from the crown itself. Thus, they planned a ruse to strip him of his title and his rank as a Colonel. They'd use a noble lady, paid her well enough to seduce Helios and snatch him by surprise when the time came.
Then at the winter solace, the king of the Rift held a ball for the nobles. The knights saw this as an opportunity to finally trap their hated enemy. As ordered, the noble lady mesmerized him not only with her sweet talks, but also with the beauty that seemed to exceed the women of the Albion family. The brunette found himself quickly falling in love with her, that is - if he could call it one. The woman invited the man into her room, and at that moment, the knights burst forth through the doorway, framed Helios for crimes which he did not commit. At that moment, he was immediately stripped of his rank, the honor, and his status as a noble. The king passed the judgement, deeply angered and disappointed by his friend's actions, As a Knight, he knew the punishment had to be severe enough to set an example that nothing like this could happen again in his court. Thus, he stripped him of the name that he'd given, despite Helios' protests and exiled him. Though he could've thrown him into the prison and let him rot there, the king felt that letting him go free was the only kindness he could do for him.
Helios wondered through the wilds. Having lost his purpose, the badge of honor, his rank, his friend, as well as his name, he settled himself down quietly in a small town, outside of the kingdoms' protection. Nobody recognized him there, and to live, the former knight actively wondered from one place to another as a Hunter, taking up odd jobs just to simply get by. However, in one of the jobs he'd taken, he managed to meet his old teammates and reunite with them on their expedition to discover the remnants of the old kingdoms. It felt good to work with them again, and even if they offered a seat with them back, Helios couldn't help but refuse, telling them that he wanted more time to organize his thoughts first - though in reality, he was never able to let go of his dream that was snatched out of his hands.
While trudging through the old ruins, Helios came across a young indigenous faunus girl at the wilds surrounded by a flock of Nevermores, old creatures that he thought to have gone extinct. To be honest, he felt nothing at the time and never would've gone in to save her the way he did with his team if it weren't for the fact that the girl had an uncanny resemblance to the heiress who took care of him. Afterwards, he urged for his team to save the girl, even if she seemed to have a very slim chance of living, and in what seemed like a miracle, she recovered thanks to the time and care they put into her. By the time she recovered, Helios stayed with his team for a while in order to help the girl get into the Vytal academy, though again, it was something that he never would've done. The former knight never explained his reasons for staying after completing his job, vaguely stating that he was just 'simply bored', even though that was far from the truth.
Once the faunus managed to get into the academy, the team asked him to join them again, but once more, Helios refused and went off on his own way, back to the town that he settled down upon. However, during his trip back, he received an important call from a very distressed man, a former colleague, one of those that betrayed him told Helios that the Rift was under siege by the Legion. Hearing of this, the knight immediately participated in the war as part of the front line force, coming from the distant hills riding on a motorcycle, ferociously fighting off Legion's army with such fury and anger that those that saw him only described the crimson-clad hunter as a: Crimson Storm. Never in his life had he fought so desperately, killed so many to achieve victory. However, at the end of it all, despite his best efforts, the kingdom was ultimately lost, and his king, his former friend that he held so close, died at the treacherous hands of Barnett. Without a choice, Helios was forced to flee.
Though he was no longer a knight, and his king would never know that his old friend had come for him, Helios planned to slay Barnett and throw the treacherous king without honor off of his golden throne, but how he'd do it with a legion of soldiers, hunters and knights at his side, he didn't know. As he searched for a way to assassinate him, he heard whispers and rumors of a revolution coming to arise in the Rift and the news of a Prime Minister exacting war on the Rift itself came into his ears.... This perhaps, just might be his ticket exacting the revenge for his old friend. For honor, for his memory, and for loyalty. The former knight had no interest in the crown. Only justice.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
>Shout n' Burn< Shout n' Burn is a gauntlet that Helios had developed during his days as a Knight, though the technology itself seems to come majorly from the Legion's side than the Rift's, it's a technological engineered masterpiece designed by Helios. The gauntlet covers majority of his forearm as well as his fingers with an armored plate to protect him from harm. While its obvious intentions are for punching the opponents who happen to get close to him, there is actually more to its overall appearance than just simply using his muscle power to plow through his enemies.
The weapon's overall main component lies within the forearm plate, which have compartment to contain a cartridge of crystalized Dust embued with the element of fire. Due to its nature, the weapon gets very, very hot - and in order to keep it from overheating, another dust crystal reside beside it, which allows for rapid coolling if needed. During its active state, Shout n' Burn's knuckles glow in bright crimson, and seemingly at his will, Helios is capable of conjuring flames and use them in any way he wishes. However, much like a gun, it offers a different variety setting in its overall firepower: Single and Burst.
One of the ways he uses 'Shout n' Burn' is in melee combat, often engulfing his entire gauntlet on fire to set fire to any unfortunate opponent who happen to get hit by his fist. He can also concentrate the the flames into the knuckles themselves to trigger a small-scale explosions in its 'single' mode. If he sets it the gauntlet to the 'burst' option when using this sort of attack, the explosion becomes bigger and spreads out much like a shotgun wave, allowing him to strike at multiple opponents at once at a single punch. Melee options aside, as this is meant to compliment Hellion in usage, using it in combination with his sword allows for very devastating attacks, and amplifies their overall potency.
There is also a secondary function which Helios uses is its 'Reload on Fire' function. When utilizing it, firing off or performing any fire-based projectile attacks allows him to absorb it back into the gauntlet. This results its destructive capability being drastically reduced compared to the original, but the more fire the 'Shout n' Burn' absorbs, the more powerful his attacks become when he releases it all at once. There are different levels of charge when using this, and they are as follows:
The first level of charge actually requires him to absorb at least two fire-based attacks. Though releasing it only increases his fire-based attacks by a small margin, its increase in power is quite noticeable. The second level of charge requires him to absorb three fire-based attacks. When the gauntlet reaches its second charge level, the vents open up in order to vent some heat stored up in it, and upon release the vents shut themselves back into the plates. Its powers could easily raze a large fortified building. The third level of its charge is the final level that the 'Shout n' Burn' could possibly contain and requires him to absorb five fire-based attacks. At this stage, the gauntlet's vents pop open, causing flames to exhaust from its exposed ports, threatening to burn Helios and often harms him in turn. If not released in time, the gauntlet can potentially overheat and melt on him. Upon release, Helios' attack become so devastating that his entire surrounding turn into a savage firestorm, if he condenses it, he can form it into a spear of inferno to penetrate through the thickest of shields and armored plates.
>Hellion< Helios' style of fighting revolves around performing absolutely brutal power strikes, engaging multiple enemies at once in the battlefield and throwing them around with such fury that one would think twice before engaging him by taking advantage of his already monstrous strength. during his years as a hunter-in-training, his need for such weapon to fit his own style led to a development of a sword known-as: 'Hellion'. The weapon takes form of a double-edged 4ft. long sword that strangely resemble a gas lighter. It's rectangular in its overall shape and weighs a whopping 15 lbs due to the materials that it's made out of. Though it may look somewhat clumsy due to its strange-looking balance, weight and size, but the hunter wields it with such ease that one could only almost describe him as a 'Crimson Tornado' on the battlefield, as told by those who'd truly seen him in action.
The real reason why Helios is capable of swinging around such terrifying weapon with ease as if he has super human strength is due to the 'Gravity Core' system he'd inserted during its initial creation. While it's at its active state, the weapon creates an independent field of gravity due to violet dust crystal fixed into it. This increases its overall weight, but the weapon's true damaging potential solely depends on the wise usage of its system at a correct timing, making it extraordinarily difficult to use in inexperienced hands. Helios always turns it off during the start of his assault to build momentum behind his strikes, and then turns it on at the very last second before contact to deliver the a crushing blow down on his opponent(s) by multiplying its weight from: x10, x20, x30, x40, x50, and finally, x80. While the Hellion can be used as is, but the sword actually possesses a second form which is actually far more capable than previous.
In its combat-ready form, the 'Hellion's' blade is actually capable of splitting up length-wise to reveal its seemingly complex inner-workings which allow it to transform. This is its main battle mode, and is one that Helios is seen using most often in a battle. While this certainly results in powerful blows, the true intents and purposes of its transformation is to allow it to channel Dust into the main blade to perform powerful attacks. To use this feature, he must manually the pommel of his weapon, which causes the revolving compartment within the guard to spin. When turned, the compartment feeds the Dust into the blade by slamming his hand down at the end of his hilt, allowing his weapon to produce a wide variety of effects. Considering the fact that the revolving chamber is shaped much like a revolver is, it is therefore very quick and easy to load, allowing him to replenish dust in the midst of a fight faster than one might expect.
Some of the effects are as follows:
MISC.
Though somewhat unbecoming of a knight, Helios is always seen carrying around a sawn-off lever action shotgun with a kinetic-dust forged barrel. With it, he is capable of firing both buckshots and solid slugs at his targets. He usually carries around 20 shells around his belt for his gun. In addition to this, Helios' strength is absolutely monstrous, allowing him to almost easily overpower most hunters and Grimm (save for anything above Barghests) in a contest of raw physical strength.
Helios is also known to ride around in a motorcycle as his a main form of travel.
Much like a celestial body of a sun hanging in the heavens, Helios' aura has a tremendous presence that nobody could ignore. When manifested, it continously shifts in colors of burning gold and crimson and his cause his eyes to have slit pupils. If one is distant from him, it feels warm, and protective, but the closer they get, one could feel the volatile nature of it, threatening to burn anyone that get close. Though it wasn't originally like this, but after his exile, Helios began to push away those around him, and as fully seasoned hunter, the former knight as access to most abilities that his aura has to offer him:
Offensive enhancement [5 ap]: This is one of the very first abilities Helios learned at a young age during his days spent at Cela Monasteries and has been serving him quite well ever since. Enhancing his raw physical strength, as well as his speed, it is one that he is seen using very often in combat.
Defensive enhancement [5 ap]: When using defensive enhancement, the outline around Helios' body starts emitting embers as if his entire body is made of fire. At this point of stage, the former knight is capable of withstanding punishment like nobody else can.
Illumination [1 ap]: Need a light? With a snap of his fingers, Helios manifests a small flame on his finger tip to navigate his way through the dark. He could also summon multitude of them to float around his body. The knight never found much use for this ability other than a way to waste his time.
Mending [5-8 ap]: An ability that Helios learned out of desperation in midst of combat to save a fallen comrade. When touching others with his hand, he's able to heal their wounds, depending how big they are.
Rules of Engagement
"You fight by MY rules now."
Helios' semblance is the ultimate crystalization of the ideal that he'd reached - as well as the the one that he'd lost. Throughout his life, he always wanted to take on a role of a knight in a suit of shining armor, fighting against evil-doers and protect those around him. His semblance makes him very much like a knight charging into the battle on a horseback, challenging the enemy champion for a one-on-one combat, forcing them all to fight on his terms of engagement as long as they stay within 50 feet of his presence. The Rules of Engagement does exactly that: Force his enemies to fight on his own terms.
With this ability, Helios is capable to locking down certain aspects of his opponent's abilities, usage of any certain types of weapons, and certain types of attacks, but in turn, he is not able to use them either. If an enemy attempts to make usage of them, then they suffer a penalty. This can range from having an attack backfire on them, weapons malfunctioning completely, and even the defenses shattering on them due to the breaking of the rule that he'd set for the battle. If Helios also makes usage of them, he will also suffer the penalty, but as long as he has an advanced knowledge about his enemy's capabilties, Helios can put his ability into a very deadly use.
As powerful as this ability may sound, it is obviously not without its own limits, and weaknesses that go along with it. One, he cannot cancel an action or an attack that's been already set into motion before his semblance becomes active. Two, he cannot lock down any long term abilities that's been put into effect before his semblance has been put into place, and finally, he can only set only one rule at a time, but he is able to change it at any time he pleases. To change the rule, it only requires him to say: 'Shift: ____________________."

Considering the fact that the revolving chamber is shaped much like a revolver is, it is therefore very quick and easy to load, allowing him to replenish dust in the midst of a fight faster than one might expect.
Some of the effects are as follows:
- Fire;; The literal term: 'Kill it with fire' is usually Helios' typical approach as to how he deals with most of the opponents he encounters. This is actually the main reason why he'd become known as the 'Crimson Tornado' amongst the Riftian Knights was because of the way he'd utilized it along with 'Shout n' Burn', making him into a disaster on two legs on the battlefield. One of the main ways he utilizes it in melee combat is to heat up his blade to a point that it literally cauterizes as it cuts through an object. When it becomes engulfed in flames, the sword gets so hot that he can cut through high-grade military armor and threaten anything else that's behind it. He can also use it as a form of a projectile to launch powerful blasts of inferno enough to even easily raze and incinerate a small, fortified bunker. The power can be taken up further to devastating levels if he uses it in combination with 'Shout n' Burn', making him to one of the deadliest opponents that one could possibly encounter on the battlefield.
- Wind;; Using Wind and Fire effects of his weapon at once, he can create an enormous fire storm to consume multitude of opponents who happen to be within 20 feet of him and even extend the range and speed of his normal projectile fire attack from 50 feet to 70 feet. If it is used without fire dust, then Hellion is capable of dragging in the wind and the enemies from the surrounding area much like an effect of a black hole into a single point.
- Earth;; If Hellion uses a direct mix of the Earth and Fire Dust at once, the weapon is capable of making the ground in front of him erupt in both fire and lava up to 50 feet in front of him over a wide area. He can also use it in conjunction with Smaug to produce similar effects, though it is much more condensed in terms power, often allowing for usage at up close and personal without the need for worry of any sort of collateral damage. If the Earth dust is used without any form of combination, Hellion can cause tremors enough to shake small buildings and even use it to knock his any enemies off balance.
- Light;; When needing to fall back to a more defensive option, Helios brings about this particular Dust in the midst of battle. Though it is not capable of creating mixed effects like the previous, using it allow him to erect multi-sized barriers of solidified light ranging from a small shield to a one fully covering his entire body. However, they can easily be broken by strong attacks - if not, at least soften it.
