The Vytal Festival --May 8, X01

It happens every year - the Vytal Festival. This time, however, things are different.

Marking the two hundredth year of the Academy opening, this year’s Festival not only serves as a bicentennial, but also marks the day of Legion’s collapse. Following the events at St. Ivy’s Basilica - and the deaths of 143 individuals, the northern Kingdom has erupted into chaos. With no formal leadership due to the Chairwoman’s disappearance, the people of the north are left to fend for themselves - resulting in riots and battle between those more than capable and Legion’s police force. These events draw in not only the hearts of crooked men seeking to take advantage, but also set the Kingdom in the eyes of the Grimm. Amidst the chaos, those loyal to the cause of bringing Barnett to justice remain vigilant, patiently waiting for the time to come when they can make their move.

To the south, in the Kingdom of Rift, news of the Basilica Tragedy has reached their once pearly shores. The Usurper King, Aldous Barnett, has cut all ties with those knowing his part in the plot uncovered by Saint Ash - going so far as to execute them in the guise of committing high treason against his new Kingdom. Meanwhile, lurking in the shadows of the once brilliantly ivory Kingdom, the flames of revolution are being fanned. Seeking to reclaim their home, and to help secure the throne once more, brave men and women of Rift - with the help of international interests - prepare themselves for what is likely to be a bloody battle ahead.

To those wishing to escape this madness, to those wishing to forget about the troubles of day to day life - at least for now, there is still the Vytal Festival. For one month’s time, the island is to be completely transformed into a hub of neutrality and peace, a place of good will between citizens. This is how it has been since the Academy first opened its gates with the signing of the Vytal Accords, when the four great Kingdoms of Remnant took back their homes from the creatures of darkness. Together they have flourished, together they have trained some of the most powerful warriors Remnant has ever seen.

And it all begins with a show of strength.

Castleton sees five things improtant to him in his friends. Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty, Honesty, and Compassion. None of them stand out above the others. It was something started by his parents and really built upon by the crew of the Smoky Mars. His team and his crew are all that he considers family now. Team C_ _ _ List item 1 List item 2 List item 3 Other Friends	Despite not really caring about people other than his friends and family, he does recognize that he may have enemies just by nature of his occupation. This usually came in the form of Pirate hunters, Naval Crews, and others who lived on the other side of the law. List item 1 List item 2 List item 3	He has lived with 30 guys on a ship with vey few port stops. So, not only does he not know about relationships, he doesn't even know his type or how to approach that subject.
