The way was quite nice, bright, sunny, not too hot but just warm enough to be lulled into a nappable state to anyone who was idle enough or just had nothing too do. It wasn't like her home. A young woman slowly made her way around the school she had dreamed of going too, although the pangs of homesickness had set in almost immediately. No sound of waves on the shore, no smell of sea spray, it felt so...different to her, so foreign. But then that's why she was here then wasn't it? It was new, it was an adventure! Still, she did miss the small things of home that made her feel cozy and safe.
Aislin sighed as she stopped strolling through the courtyard, rubbing the back of her neck and looking around. She knew virtually no one here, to be honest she didn't really have many friends growing up. Social skills were not her strong suit, yet she did crave the companionship of others. She needed to make friends in other words, the question was, how? The short answer was just striking up a conversation, but how does one do that? Hello? good Day? Nice jacket? There were so many different ways to talk and yet so few of them were known to her. She sighed in anxious frustration, looking around for someone, anyone she could talk too.
