PLAYED BY LILY EIGHTEEN(18) November (11) | FEMALE Freshman FAUNAS | |
WILDE, LILIAN |
★ APPEARANCE
Lily is a young Faunus girl. She has dark features, gunmetal grey eyes, and black hair that reaches down to the middle of her back. Black cat ears sit atop her head. She's a fairly shot girl, only about five foot six inches tall. She owns a tattered black shawl that she'll wear in the privacy of her own room, but other than that sticks to a plain black dress. This is how her parents had always taught her to dress. The styles were very plain outside of the safety of the kingdoms.
★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Lily was raised outside of the protection of man. Hers was a tribe of Faunas that believed the only true way to live was in the wild. They were a foolish tribe. In her younger years, the tribe was large enough to protect itself. But with each fallen ally, they weakened. Life was harsh outside of the protection of the Kingdoms. They had to contend with other tribes, the Grimm, and food. Winters were the hardest to survive during, and none of those who numbered among her tribe were particularly fond of assisting in the care of a child who was hardly capable of taking care of herself. By the time she was eight, the rest of her tribesmen had been scattered and only her parents remained to protect her and provide for her. They taught her how to fight when they couldn't be there, showing her how to embrace her bestial heritage and to fight using instinct and cunning. She was trained in the ways of aura, having access to it from a young age, it's use seemed second nature to her. She was capable of using her semblance at about the age of twelve, and could use aura to enhance her attacks by age ten. They also taught her how to forage for food, hunt, and set traps. Mostly though, they just taught her to run. The creatures of Grimm were too dangerous to take lightly, and they understood that well. When they found safe haven, either in a relatively defensible cave, her parents would take turns guarding the camp and training Lily respectively. While one would guard, the other would train. Her mother excelled in hand to hand combat, and taught her everything she knew about where to strike against Grimm, and how to move in order to throw the beasts off.
Her father's focus was on Aura. He was incredibly talented with it, and could use it to heal, bolster his defenses, his attack, and for all sorts of other useful things. He taught her the basics of bolstering attack and defense using Aura, and taught her various meditations and exercises that would help her to refine her Aura over time, should she remain diligent in the practice of these exercises.
When Lilian was about fifteen her parents were lost to her in a fight with a pair of Beringel. They were already weakened after a long journey to recover Lily, who had been separated from them when she'd climbed atop a nevermore to prove that she could handle herself. They'd sacrificed themselves so that she could escape, and that sacrifice has haunted her ever since, and she firmly believes that had she not been so foolhardy that they would still live.
After her parents deaths, she spent three years alone in the wilds. She alternated between self-loathing for having caused her parents deaths, to fleeting hope that she might be accepted into one of the other tribes. She had nothing but her claws to defend herself with, but she used them with deadly precision to cut apart any Grimm that got in her way. She did however avoid nevermores like a plague. It's not that she didn't think she could handle herself, but instead she just couldn't face the gigantic birds after what happened to her parents.
The three years were a dark period for her. She learned what it meant to be alone in a harsh world that does not forgive even minor mistakes. She forgot what it was to be a part of a family, a part of a tribe, a part of anything. She was instead, just used to being apart. She honed her own skills, seeking greater and greater challenges, and very nearly dying several times. While she had plenty of talent, she lacked direction. Every day was a cycle of finding food, killing Grimm, and searching for any remnants of her old tribe, or a safe place to spend the night. Her intense negative emotions drew the Grimm to her though. No place remained safe for long. She was always on the move, always seeing more of what the world had to offer. She explored caves, forests, ancient ruins, and all sorts of other areas that could be found in south westernmost corners of the wilderness surrounding Rift. Almost equidistant from Rift and Setek.
She had very little luck finding her old tribe members. The only times she'd ever managed to even track one down, they'd already taken on a new tribe. She longed for the safety of those numbers, but after all she'd been through she was unable to allow herself to grow close to a new set of strangers.
She was later found, and brought into society, by a group of hunters who found her on an expedition to learn more about the world outside of the kingdoms. They found her surrounded by a flock of six nevermores, and slew the gigantic birds in order to save the girl. This was the first time she'd felt happy to see other people in a long time, and the fact that they'd saved her from her hated enemy was all enough for her to trust in them. When the suggested she enroll in the academy, she listened. When filling out the paperwork however, they ran into a minor snag. Her tribe had never given her a second name, as she'd not grown old enough within the tribe to have earned it. So, the Hunters and Huntresses bestowed upon her the name "Wilde" to indicate both where she was found, and the nature of her personality. She then was enrolled in the schools as a sophomore because of her age.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
She doesn't own a weapon, though she would be interested in obtaining one to lessen the burden on her aura.
Lily fights very reflexively. When the initiative is on her side, she fights like a cat stalking it's prey. Attempting to strike lethally before her opponent even knows she's there. When she's fighting defensively, she tries to outmaneuver her opponent until they either tire enough to present a weak point, or if that seems unlikely, making many feints and difficult to read movements until she opens a weak point up that way. She uses her incredible agility and speed to keep her distance when she's unsure of how an opponent will move, and always tries to understand an opponents basic capabilities before engaging. When she does move in to attack, it's always viciously, with intent to do serious damage.
MISC.
Nothing to start with, her fighting style relies on speed and aura, not equipment.
Her aura is a blinding white light, which contrasts with her dark features to great effect. People who are bathed in it's light tend to feel a little more at ease. She can use her aura to increase the effectiveness of her claws which she uses to attack her enemies, or she can use it to harden her skin and prevent damage.
LIGHT SPEED - 10 Aura
Her semblance is a standard speed semblance. When employed, time almost seems to stand still for her as she moves. To an outsider, all that they can see of her while she employs her semblance is the white glowing streaks of light that mark the path she took. Most commonly she uses this ability to land a few attacks against her opponent. Even fighters with amazing reaction times or similar levels of speed might have a difficult time blocking her when she's moving this quickly, but she has difficulty controlling her turning when she's using her semblance. Mach 2 seems to be her top speed when moving with her semblance, but it'd difficult to maintain this speed for too long without being drained by it.
