★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Ciaran grew up not truly knowing who exactly his parents were, but if there was one thing that was clear about them before their moment of death: In accordance to his 'foster father' who'd taken him in, they were both 'Hunters'. His father died trying to protect his mother from the monsters known as the 'Grimm', and his mother, gave birth to him in the woods before shortly dying of her wounds made by the beowolves. Growing up hearing this story, flames of anger have taken hold of his heart and soul. Noticing this, his foster father, Klavis, decided that he'd attempt to try and quell the anger within the boy by personally training him in the ways of the sword. All the while hoping that one day, he will use those same skills that he learned from him to protect those that he'd cared for.
At a young age, Ciaran had already began to show his talents as a hunter. His affinity for swordplay was extraordinary, but the boy's cockiness that was often on a borderline on a level of arrogance often got him into a lot of trouble in both training - as well as real sparring matches with his father. However, while training under him, the boy heard several news and heroics done by the hunters all across the globe, hunting down forces of darkness left and right, slaying Grimm upon their wake, and avenging innocents who'd been killed. In hopes that he'd be able to become part of them, he urged his father to let him leave, and use the skills he'd accumulated thus far to avenge his parents' death. His father, on the other hand, declined the boy's wishes, attempting to explain how he never taught him to use the sword skills he'd taught him for such selfish reasons, rather defend those that he'd cared about. For his student's sake, he urged to stray away from the path of becoming a hunter.
However, not heeding to single bit of advice his that his foster father had given him, Ciaran left for Vytal at the break of dawn to become a hunter, leaving his training as a swordsman incomplete. Without being said, he passed the test of physical, mental, and combat prowess with flying colors more so than a lot of the students who attempted to enter the academy, thanks to the training that he'd received. Being one of the top potential talents who entered the combat school, he came to attract the attention of several teachers. There, he was taught to wield his aura, and to hone his skills in combat even further, but the problems which belied within his behavior often got him into more trouble with the students than the faculty, often ending up in fights after another. Despite being a rising star within the Vytal, he'd gained an infamous reputation within the school by the end of his second year.
However, it wasn't long before Ciaran finally met his match against an opponent of a higher caliber. While sparring against the third year student, the boy found himself not only outmatched in terms of physical capabilities, but also, skills. Even though he'd put up a tough front and defense, the match was an inevitable loss. Having never tasted defeat, nor such humiliation before in front of every students within Vytal, anger swelled within his heart and swore to vow vengeance twice over against the one who'd defeated him. Since then, he upgraded the previous weapon he once wielded to suit his fighting style which utilized battoujutsu techniques. This led to the creation of the Jugulator.
Attempting to master his new weapon offered new challenges of its own. Not only the attempt at drawing the weapon from the scabbard as freely as he used to was impossible, Ciaran was also forced to catch up to the timing that it was fired out of its housing. This led to him specifically retooling most of his stances and techniques to utilize the advantages that his new weapon had to offer him, but upon three months after its creation, the boy quickly became familiar with its overall systems. With this newly forged sword in hand, he challenged the person who'd defeated him previously into a duel - but the outcome, this time, was different. Though at first, Ciaran gained the upperhand for the first few attacks, his opponent was again - overwhelming him not only with superior swordsmanship, but also in terms of physical performance. Feeling pressed, and recalling the anger that was stored within his heart, he roused the hidden ability that was sleeping deep within his soul from its long slumber. At an instant, the fight came to an end with a single blow. Not only did he slice through his opponent's weapon, he critically injured his rival to a point that he was hospitalized for the rest of the year.
Since that incident, Ciaran was expelled from Vytal, and his hopes of becoming a hunter, shattered. Though unable to become one of the heroes, he roamed through many kingdoms as a vigilante, slaugthering Grimm whenever it was needed, and dispensing 'justice' in his own way to those that deserved it. However, his work as a wandering, sword-wielding vigilante came to a complete halt after he met a woman named 'Ivory'. He fell in love with the woman, and put down his sword in order to settle down. A few years later, they had a daughter together. Everything was picture perfect for him. It was a peaceful life that anybody could ask for. His days as a vigilante, done, but that came to an end when old enemies found him and his family. They raided his home, and unable to properly defend himself - and his family, Ciaran was forced to watch as they defiled and killed the one he loved before his very eyes. Then, they tied him up and set fire to his home, but somehow, he was able to escape heavily wounded, and badly burnt all the while saving his son.
Ciaran was left in a critical state, and bordered between the line of life and death. It was only be his sheer force of will that he managed to survive - let alone be able to walk again. The Legion's best doctors even doubted that he'd be able to live his life normally, especially with the kinds of burns on his body. A few months later after the attack, the man woke up, only to find his body encsaed in a strange suit and room which isolated from outside world. Enraged by both pain and not being able to see his own son, the berserk Hunter broke free from his isolated medical ward, and went on a rampage, but it was quickly brought to a halt by numerous Police Officers and doctors who informed of him what had happened while he was in a medicine enduced coma. However, out of all the news which broke his heart the most, his son was slowly, but surely dying, and was only being kept alive by the medicine that was being pumped through his body.
Unable to find the right solution, Ciaran wondered through the streets aimlessly. However, it was then when a man who knew of his plights came up to him, saying that he could save his son. When the Hunter asked him who he was, the man said that he was from an organization called the 'Cult of Saint Ashes'. If he was willing to work for the man, the man said he could save his son's life. Deciding to take up on the offer, the swordsman dug through the ruins of his burnt home by hand and let his old weapon, Jugulator resurface.
For his son, he decided to become the demon.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
> Jugulator < Jugulator is a set of master-crafted weapons that Ciaran is known to carry around with him at all times. Suffice to say, it's difficult to see him without it on daily basis. He created this weapon during his years as a Hunter-in-Training, and has been serving him very well ever since the moment of its creation. Jugulator's main component is comprised of a long, curved blade that ends at a sharp point that's suited for powerful slashing and cutting blows, and it constantly emits an angry crimson glow thanks to the effects of the red-dust hammered into the blade during its difficult forging process. However, this serves as more than just a simple flair. It also allows the owner of this weapon to slice through objects that no normal blade can cut through, such as thick mid-to-high grade armored platings and thick bone armors that Grimms are known to have. When the blade cuts through an object, one could see bits of flames being emitted from the place it had cut through. This makes wounds extraordinarily difficult to heal as it cauterizes blood vessels, and it is especially effective against opponents who are capable of healing at extraordinarily high speeds. On the grip of the sword, there is a noticeable red button which could be pressed to activate its 'overdrive' stage.
The weapon's 'overdrive' mode activates a small dust compartment within the pommel of the blade, which contains wind dust. When pressed in midst of a battle, Ciaran can quickly activate the ability to eliminate all forms of atmospheric air-resistance of his weapon, allowing him to attack opponents with overwhelmingly blinding slashes and thrusts for quick dispatching of multiple opponents. In addition, he can also use this ability to send waves of inferno at his targets, allowing him to attack from faraway range even if needed.
However, the Jugulator is not truly complete without its secondary component, which is arguably by far the most important part of his weapon as well as within his practiced style: The sheath. The sheath is extraordinarily heavy, looking as if its external component is comprised of both a gun - as well as the housing for the sword itself. However, despite its obvious chunkiness, one could see the thought process in its design. When the blade is combined with the sheath, the weapon essentially 'locks in' making it virtually impossible to draw it out by any normal means. To release the weapon, Ciaran is required to pull the trigger. This activates the sheath's special ability, which essentially 'fires off' the blade at extremely high speeds to perform his lightning fast battoujutusu attack. Out of all the techniques, this is by far the deadliest and most lethal form of art he utilizes on the battlefield, and it is what made him so famous during his days as a vigilante.
This is further enhanced thanks to the 'gun' part of his scabbard, which essentially acts as a miniature railgun. Within it there are set of rails which surrounds the blade, and they lock it in place when the blade is housed. The rails, thereafter continuously charges itself with magnetic field due to the usage of the yellow dust cartridge, and when the trigger is pulled, the rails 'release' the sword and fires it off as a form of an extremely high-speed projectile. With the amount of kinetic energy that the weapon generates, combined with the dust ability of the weapon, and his semblance, there is almost nothing that the Jugulator cannot cut through.
> Crows Claw < Crows Claw is a prothesis arm made for Ciaran after losing his arm from the horrific fire that consumed both him and his family. The arm, as its appearance suggests, its main form of usage is to help him on his daily life tasks to cope with losing his right arm, but because it is made for battle, it's obvious that it has some tricky functions of its own. While it certainly enhances the overall swing force of his sword strikes, the forearm houses twin dust catridge of both red and green. Using the elbow-rocket, Ciaran can propell himself across battlefields at inhuman speeds to close in upon unsuspecting opponents and even utilize it tn some short bursts to enhance the power and speed of his sword strikes. On his wrist, it is equipped with a close range flame thrower, allowing him to spew fiery deaths upon his foes.
MISC.
> Wigar < With his body suffering almost over 70% having third degree burns, Ciaran was froced to be grafted with a suit that seals his body off from the external enivornment in order to sustain his life. Thanks to the Legion's technology, his suit features a full life-support system and injects him with pain medication should the pain from his burns be too much. In addition to this, it acts as a form of external muscle which further enhances his overall physical performance in battle. On the side of his face, there are a pair of plates which closes in to cover half of his face. While this acts as an additional protection in midst of combat, it also allows for a maximum oxygen intake while filtering out any toxic materials which may enter his lungs. This can be activated with a simple press of a button on the side of each plates.
The aura that's colored in jet black lined with red and gold that manifests around Ciaran is extraordinarily violent, constantly pulsating and continously distorting the air of his surroundings. One could feel his vengeful spirit, the anger when they go near it while it's active. The warrior is capable of using his aura to defend himself from incoming blows and even utilize it as a form of offense to increase the length of his sword (costs 5 aura points) my manifesting a much larger blade up to 4 meters in length around the Jugulator.
Three-Fold Vengeance
Ciaran has been a life of continual vengeance, a burning rage that he simply cannot let go of. His semblance, 'Three-Fold Vengeance' reflects this. The activation of this ability is actually unnoticeable, making it extraordinarily deadly as battles become prolonged. When activated, his semblance takes in and absorbs the kinetic damage that's been done to his body. By no means, however, does that mean he cannot be hurt. If he is struck by attacks while this semblance is active, it hurts him as much as any other guys and gals who fight against him. However, the more damage he absorbs through by either blocking, or by taking the full brunt of any incoming attacks, it only strengthens and feeds his semblance further.
However, when the semblance reaches its absolute limit of its charge, Ciaran gives off a burst of aura which seemingly distorts and shakes up the air around him. This ability allows him to release all of the pent up force that his semblance might have previously absorbed, and generate it into a form of an absolutely destructive blow(s) for devastation against single to multiple opponents. When utilizing this power, he has variety of ways to release it: From multiple simultaneous attacks, to a single, overwhelming power strike that could potentially end the fight once and for all. He usually uses it in conjunction with his weapon, the Jugulator. He has four named techniques which he utilizes with his semblance: Avalanche, Heavenly Path, Autumn Rain, and finally, the Swallow Return
Autumn Rain technique is by far the most widely used of all sword art that Ciaran utilizes on the battlefield against multiple to single opponents. This makes all of his strikes simultaneous, making it extraordinarily difficult to block - let alone, dodge. However, in exchange for raw speed and numerous attacks, lacks in power. The strikes often leave multiple gashes. Though they are usually non-fatal, it often strikes points which exposes his opponent's defenses. He can use this technique even when his semblance isn't at its fullest charge. [30 aura points per execution / Crisis Level 1]
Heavenly Path is a technique that is used in conjunction with his weapon's overdrive mode and his battoujutusu art. Drawing his weapon out from the scabbard in an upwards motion, the green dust that's been activated by the Jugulator displaces the air around him. In addition to this, the amount of power he'd gained from his semblance allows Ciaran to create a vaccuum which can suck in multiple opponents at once to send them flying through the air in a violent cyclone. This can affect opponents who are up to 25 feet away from him. [50 aura points per execution / Crisis Level 2]
Avalanche is a one-shot wonder. Often utilized when Ciaran finds himself in a tight spot that he cannot pull himself out from, and must force himself to gamble on a decisive blow - or finish the fight once and for all. When utilized, the force generated from his swing alone can easily slice through extremely high-grade military alloy and defenses which his sword would normally wouldn't be able to cut through. However, as its solely concentrated on power, the build-up time to execute the strike is tremendous, often forcing the fighter into a defensive posture and find an opening within his opponent's strikes. If it is propertly executed, at all, the Avalanche is by far the deadliest technique that the warrior could possibly execute, often ending fights in a single, decisive stroke. Not to mention, he could slice through objects that aren't even within remote contact of his blade. From the sheer force he generates from the swing alone, he can cut down opponents whom are up to 25 feet away from him. When used with his battoujutsu technique, the range increases twice as much. [150 aura points per execution / Crisis Level 3]
Swallow Return was developed as an answer for each points his technique, Avalanche and Autumn Rain has lacked in and named after a famous technique once used by a legendary swordsman who once lived in Remnant. Utilizing the both speed and strength of each two techniques in harmony, Ciaran is able to use both of them at once in balance. Though it is by far neither the fastest - nor the strongest, the Swallow Return is his signature technique that he's come to master over the course of the years. When executed, it doesn't have random strike patterns of the Autumn Rain, nor does it have a slow build-up like the Avalanche. It is precise, and is almost lightning quick to execute. Upon its execution, the warrior creates three simultaneous arcing slashes which imprisons his opponent, and closes upon them at such rates that leave little room for escape, or defense that even the master fighters find themselves hard-pressed to combat against. Normally impossibly by nature, it was only through sheer mastery of his semblance as well as the style he practices in which causes warping time-space to overlap his existence.(Essentially, the reality decided to give up trying to stop him from doing this due to his massive ego.)[90 aura points per execution / Crisis Level 3]
However, as powerful as these abilities sound, it is heavily reliant on Ciaran's semblance - and as such, they must have certain level of charge before being performed. He calls the level of charges 'Crisis', and they vary in different levels. Once a Crisis Level is used, the level depletes back to 0, forcing him to build it up again to perform another one of his techniques. .

Normally impossibly by nature, it was only through sheer mastery of his semblance as well as the style he practices in which causes warping time-space to overlap his existence.
However, as powerful as these abilities sound, it is heavily reliant on Ciaran's semblance - and as such, they must have certain level of charge before being performed. He calls the level of charges 'Crisis', and they vary in different levels. Once a Crisis Level is used, the level depletes back to 0, forcing him to build it up again to perform another one of his techniques. .
