Aleah takes after her Faunus heritage quite well, marked by her slender 5’4” figure, slightly long neck, and very long legs - built for pure agility and short-distance sprinting, of which she can reach an impressive 40mph at full tilt - upon a petite 100lb frame, but most notably for the slender, black, 5” horns poking out from just below her hairline and extending up and slightly back with a twist that makes them look S-shaped from almost any angle.
Her skin is a dark tan, almost fawn brown, and immaculately smooth and soft - her whole body in fact is quite deliberately sculpted to the perfection demanded by a paying crowd - with the pique physical fitness to match, a pleasant side effect of a life of dancing. Her eyes are a deep auburn brown that appear red in certain lights, and almost black where there isn’t enough light, even so far as to stay dull (and thus invisible) where other human or predator faunus eyes might shimmer in the dark, or flare under the flash of a camera. This biological process leaves her with understandably poor night vision due to a greatly reduced number of rods, but acute, highly detailed, tetrachromatic daytime vision from the increased and varied number of cones. Accentuating her soft, curvy features, wide hips, and small chest, is a head of wavy raven black hair flowing all the way down to the small of her back, most often braided and wrapped up in the very ribbon she fights with.
It is a rare, strictly formal occasion where she isn’t showing more skin than clothing, favoring sashes, loose, flowing, and see-through garments of various salacious quality. Though she isn’t above a more modest formal dress, nor the suggestively short skirts many school uniforms provide, she is more often seen with little more than boy shorts and sports bra when classes are out. Jewelry is a sight, though less common. Anything more than studded earrings would cause problems or even pain with her style, and bracelets, anklets, and necklaces are pretty but quickly discarded and even quicker stolen. One could say ‘old habits are hard to break’, but these habits are still quite young and nubile.

The tale of how the half-starved, beleaguered, ten year old faunus ended up on the streets of Rift has never been told, nor would the woman that girl has become today be all that eager to recount how she clung to her dead brother’s body while her family smuggled her out of the plantation where they were being kept as slaves, and ultimately handed off to a traveling merchant while everyone she knew and loved was left behind. Nor would she be all that excited to explain how the merchant got cold feet and simply dropped her off at the edge of the slums instead of bringing her to her family contact. The rest of the story, however, isn’t nearly so depressing.
After a week of trying to survive on her own, she was taken in by a concerned citizen. One that happened to own a popular night club. Ever an eye for new talent, the Madame was more than happy to let the young girl watch the dancers in action, and sit in on their practices. Before long she was joining in on those practices, slowly and subtly groomed to entertain the highest paying customers with the finer arts of sensual, suggestive display. Ever the natural dancer, she took to the training with single-minded passion, and by the age of 16 she was already starting to dance professionally. She saw great success in her early career, earning enough money to start pursuing other hobbies. The ever curious girl started buying books on dust, aura, and hunters.
With practice and dedication, she quickly learned how to unlock her own aura, and began incorporating its use into her dances, controlling her signature ribbons with the expert grace of a hunter, and earning her many admirers. With popularity, however, came the harassment and assaults; men lacking in self control and filled with too much lust and booze. It was during her first assault that she discovered her semblance. She wasn’t sure why memories of her time spent ‘dancing’ with her uncle came to mind. Moves and attacks that seemed utterly worthless at the time, simply family tradition. But when raw instinct kicked in those moves and her dancing was all she had, infused with a bit of her aura to shocking effect. Soon thereafter she forged her weapon, and grew more and more acclimated to the city’s seedier elements.
But random drunks and criminals were hardly a challenge, leaving her completely unprepared when fate finally put her in the path of a real hunter. Despite thoroughly schooling her, the man known as Altimeda Fontine saw a great amount of wasted potential, and quickly arranged for her to take the hunter academy entrance exams. Inspired by the vast gap between their strengths, she ultimately accepted the offer, and passed the exams with ease. The road ahead would be long and hard, but Aleah can only look to the future with excited hope, and for the first time in her life, a purpose.

WEAPONS
Starting with one and later adding another after learning to control the first with great precision, Aleah’s weapons are incredibly simple in looks but deeply complicated by design. The 15 foot long, 3 inch wide satin ribbons are woven with super lightweight, non-ferrous metal, as well as the best lightning dust weave money could buy. This allows her to manipulate the fabric at any point, hardening it into a desired shape, or sharpening an edge for cutting power. Due to its inherently flexible nature, this allows her a near-infinite range of options, limited only by her creativity. Unfortunately it requires regular repairs and renewals to keep the dust weave in combat-ready condition.
MISC.
Due to her complete lack of long-range capabilities, and general interest in the finer arts of dust control, Aleah keeps herself supplied with as much dust as she can get her hands on. At any given time her belt will contain 2 air crystals, and containers holding 10 charges of lightning dust, with 1 earth crystal and 4 charges of fire dust on standby in her dormitory.
Dust Spells!
Lightning Bolt - 5 aura for a decently powerful ranged attack.
Lightning Storm - 10 aura to summon clouds in a 30ft diameter than rain down bolts of lightning on the area.
Qinggong - 2 aura for 1 minute of featherlike feats, able to run across water or the tops of trees, and leap long distances as if gliding.
Flamethrower - 5 aura for a gout of flame.
Earthshaping - 3 aura to shift the earth, creating fissures or pulling a slab up from the ground to block projectiles.
At times, her aura can support her erotic efforts, sparkling a pure white and giving off the faint scent of incense burning a mix of spices with a hint of vanilla, exuding that heady, electric charge that can only be arousal. When her mood turns, however, the electric surge shifts from heady to numbing. Not much to speak of at her current level, but it’s not hard to tell it has the potential to be suffocating.
Due to her complete lack of formal training, Aleah has yet to master any traditional Aura Abilities, save for her dedicated focus to the manipulation of her ribbons and other flexible objects.
DIANXUE
Where most hunters are able to infuse Aura into their limbs to harness an Enhanced Attack, Aleah is able to take it a step beyond. Named Dianxue by a civilization long past, those few that remain in the bloodline are able to inject a needlepoint surge of their electric Aura into precise acupressure points using an unarmed melee strike to disable limbs and invoke numb and sluggish muscles. At the cost of 5 aura, this pinpoint attack is capable of piercing through even the thickest Grimm hide, but is completely blocked by metal armor and the white carapace sported by nearly all Grimm due to the dispersion of electricity the materials provide (or in the case of some armors and carapaces, simply too thick to pierce through). All effects are temporary, lasting 30-60 minutes depending on how much aura went into the attack, and leave no wounds or permanent damage.
The number of nerve centers and acupressure points are many, but Aleah knows only a few. The pressure points at each major joint (elbows, shoulders, knees, and the tops of the thighs) to disable the victim’s control over the limb from that joint down, and the torso at each major organ (heart for intense pain, lungs for constricted chest and difficult breathing, stomach for… loss of meals… and the adrenal glands above each pancreas to shut down the release of adrenaline, cutting energy and reaction speed). Above all the neck and back are most vulnerable, sporting the brachial plexus nerves at the points between neck and shoulder, a Dianxue strike to which can disable the entire respective half of the victim’s upper body, and while the lower intercostal nerves, subcostal nerve, and lumbar plexus nerves only paralyze the body’s lower half, the upper intercostal nerves, and especially the stem at the back of the neck, can paralyze the body whole, from the neck down.
As with most semblances, using dust to change the element of the attack can drastically change its effects. While most elements don’t mesh well with the particular nature of Dianxue, the newly discovered elements have particularly powerful kicks. The deep-tissue and aura flow healing of Divine dust can save people from mortal injuries where just using the dust alone might fall short, and Void dust turning those strikes into devastating wounds, destroying nerves and rotting joints from the inside.
Finally, she is also capable in certain central acupressure points of unlocking the body’s normal limits, increasing strength and speed at the cost of muscle fatigue and a constant 5 aura bleed that cannot be stymied. This is activated in 5 stages, each costing 20 aura to “unlock” and increasing her speed and strength by 30%, as well as increasing the strain on her body with each stage.
