★ APPEARANCE
Drake has pale skin and black hair that reaches to his eyebrows. His eyes are black with a red streak in his right eye. A scar lines up with the streak and is set across his eye and nearly five inches long. Drake has lost any interest in looking like celebrities and famous hunter's and does not care if he looks stupid and poor. This has led to his clothes looking ratty and stained. Drake normally wears modified street clothes, a long-sleeved dark-red shirt underneath a black hardened leather jacket. The jacket also has a hood that effectively hides Drake's face whenever he needs to stay hidden. The leather was hardened to provide maximum flexibility and speed while still giving some protection. On the arms of the jacket, metal armor protects Drake's arms as he does not use a shield and so frequently uses his arms to deflect incoming blows. He wears jeans and leather hiking boots. On his back, over his left shoulder, are the sheaths for Black Shadow. Around his waist is a black tool belt that stores Drake's extra magazines and his Dust supplies. As well, from his Faunus heritage, Drake has a single large black bats wing over his right shoulder. He has a muscular build and is tall, giving him an imposing presence. His face is also always set into a serious expression and no trace of humor is ever found in it.
★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Drake was raised in a village within the borders of the Kingdom of Legion and with the teachings of his father, became convinced that equality, force and practicality would create peace and happiness in the world. He also had an older brother that was rather detached and separated from family life and argued with their parents frequently. He was Drake's opposite in many ways. Where Drake was solitary and shy, his brother was social and out-going. Drake was also emotional, letting common sense go in favor of doing what he felt needed to be done, though he tried to rein himself in. His brother on the other hand was rather emotionless, not showing much and causing those nearby him to have little humor and be serious and stony-faced.
For ten years, Drake lived an uneventful life, broken up by brief periods of excitement as newcomers came and provided new entertainment for the villagers. Then a bandit clan attacked the village. Drake's father had been part of the kingdom Legions army and so attempted to stop the bandits. However, he had grown old and the bandits had high-grade equipment, letting them cut him down quickly. Drake and his brother witnessed his death and simultaneously unlocked their Aura's and semblances. Drake’s very inexperience with aura was what made him powerful in the moment, as he was suddenly exposed to a massive amount of negative emotions and he was unable to filter it out. And when he charged the Bandits, all they saw was a child, not a warrior. The mistake cost them their lives. He continued on his rampage, ambushing bandits throughout the town, all making the same mistake, until Drake saw the bandits gathering together and setting up defenses. By then, an hour had passed and he was covered in shadow, with his eyes glowing red. But he was exhausted and losing power quickly. As Drake stepped forward, he blacked, unconscious.
When he awoke, he had no memory of what happened and much of his life's memory was also gone. He found himself in a camp, surrounded by injured men. The leader came and explained that the Grimm destroyed the village. They could only save him, but not his parents. Drake erupted in tears, but was comforted by the leader of the group, whose name he said was Severus. He took Drake under his wing and trained him himself for a year as they traveled the kingdom of Legion. Drake had a deep seated anger of Grimm and sought any opportunity to fight them, now able to stand a chance with his new training. As they traveled, their party grew. Severus explained that they were a mercenary group, sending out small parties to take on jobs, then be paid through equipment. But then Severus decided that they were going to Rift, as they were lacking in jobs. During the traveling, Severus began to train Drake in using his Aura and semblance more effectively and as they arrived in Rift, the training took on a more vigorous tone. For four more years Drake stayed with Severus and trained, becoming deadly with all types of weapons. But he also became darker, angry, more negative.
Drake, now 15, was allowed to go on a mission with a group by Severus. Excited and eager, he awaited the thrill of whatever they were doing, only to find they were raiding a village. Disturbed by this turn of events, Drake does not participate until he finds one of his allies threatening a family. Anger swelled in him and he attacked and killed the man. Confused and conflicted, he retreated back into the main group, only to get a feeling of uncompletenesss. He used his Aura to isolate the feeling and felt a man he had never seen before and before he could think of who he is, he was plunged into familiar emotions. His emotions. The emotions told his story, explained all of his memories to him. Drake was paralyzed by the feedback and only just regained control of himself when they arrived back at camp. Then he felt rage. This was the bandit clan that burned his village, killed his father. That man had taken his memory. As Severus stepped forward to welcome him, Drake let loose. Drake, now filled with power again, killed the bandits just like the first time: taking them by surprise. He moved faster, hit harder and the first one to feel his wrath was his mentor, Severus. The rest were too stunned to react immediately, so many were cut down before they charged Drake. But this time, Drake had control. He backed up, fighting a defensive battle until someone slipped up, then he would cut them down. Drake had made sure to kill the main leaders first, so the rest could not organize effectively and soon enough, exhausted and drained, Drake stood in the remains of the camp and looked at the bodies sprawled around him, before turning around and leaving, never looking back.
Drake was frustrated though. He still had no memory, only his own emotions that had been associated with the memories had been given to Drake. Knowing there was nothing to do and assuming his brother had died in the attack, Drake roamed the wilderness for a year, hunting down various bandit groups, releasing his emotions on them. The constant exposure to the bandits negative emotions had a lasting impact on him, causing him to still feel their emotions today. He released them in battle and fought fiercely. He became feared by criminals and he drove them into the underground, where he followed and adapted his tactics to suit the new situation. It was during one hunt that he met a girl, equal in age, that was studying to go to Vytal Academy. For the first time in his life, he felt an attraction and met with her several times after their first meeting. He began to look into the academy and finding that it was one-of-a-kind and famous as neutral ground, Drake began to believe that it would be a benefit to enroll. Spending another year studying and traveling abroad, continuing his hunt of criminals, he is now ready to expand his learning and gain new techniques for taking out criminals.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Drake has two identical single-handed longswords named Black and Shadow. They have black blades and only half a cross guard; a single bats wing. In the middle of the cross guard is a ruby. The pommels of the swords are lids, keeping long vials of Dust safe in the handle of the sword to usually light the swords in fire by coating the sword with fire Dust in liquid form through several tiny holes near the center of the sword. These are connected to a hollow space that runs along the very center of the sword and into the handle. The dual swords give Drake speed and flexibility and allow him to overwhelm an opponent quickly with a fast flurry of attacks at the start of the fight.
The swords can also combine when in the sheath by the press of a button in between the sheaths. A metal sheet goes in between the blades to increase the width and length and make the two swords into a single, wide broadsword called Black Shadow. This gives the blade more power and less speed and maneuverability, but also doubles a kind of shield to block heavier attacks. The handles also stack onto each other to merge Dust storage and give Drake more room to wield the bigger sword with two hands. Black Shadow is much slower than the individual swords, but also more powerful and provides better defense.
Drake also has two vambraces on his arms as part of his armor. On the left is an ejectable blade that allows Drake to make a silent kill and to fight in extreme close quarters. A miniature crossbow has also been fitted as a long-range stealth weapon, with twenty bolts, separated into four groups of five by thin, flexible plastic casings stored just under the top armour of the vambrace. One of the packages bolts are just bolts, but one other one has a deadly poison coating it and the other two lack sharp heads and instead have fragile cylinders on the end of them, each containing a gas that either gives the affected person euphoria and an unrush of positive emotions or creates massive amount of negative emotions. This gas can seep into the skin, but this takes longer for the effects to appear, unlike the quicker way of getting the opponent to breathe in the gas. On the right vambrace, a collapsible rifle has been built onto it, allowing for longer range and better penetration of armored targets. As well, it features a rather unusual ammo set and power capability. It's magazine is a revolver style, with 8 slots for bullets and three chambers, giving the rifle 24 bullets. But instead of using traditional metal bullets, it uses rocks, shaped aerodynamically in the chambers as they are fired, that are made stronger and harder-hitting than normal by a rather long earth Dust crystal set into the rifle just above the magazine. The massive availability of rocks in the wilderness makes this modification to a standard weapon invaluable when one is away from civilization for long periods of time.
MISC.
Drake's leather bots have a metal compartment on the back of the boot and a cylinder that connects to the heel. This allows Drake to fire Dust from his feet, usually the wind variant, to gain maneuverability and push enemies back.
Drake's Aura gives those nearby him an impression of what he is feeling at any time, making him a kind of open book. He can also sense the emotions of those around him and can even feel impressions of memories through the emotions they invoke. As he has spent so much time with bandits, he has their lingering negative emotions still influencing him and so usually has a black Aura, though when he has positive emotions, his Aura is white. This same concept applies to his semblance. It gives off no smell. Drake is able to enhance his offensive capabilities through his Aura and frequently does so. To use this ability, Drake only needs to use up 3 points, as his experience with the bandit clan and their training allowed him to minimize the area that he applies the ability to and only improves small areas, such as his wrist instead of his whole arm or just the shoulder to speed movement of weapons and deal more damage.
Emotional Conversion
Drake is able to 'feed' off of others emotions and his own and then convert those emotions into energy that can be used to enhance his bodies attributes. His 'feeding' is taking the emotions from those around him out of them and and into himself. This feeding of emotions is a passive ability and is always happening, letting Drake create store of emotions with which to create into energy. The action of then converting these emotions to energy and then using them is where the Aura is used up. However, the type of emotion that is absorbed determines what type of energy it becomes. Positive emotions get turned into Positive Energy, which increases Drakes durability and endurance. By taking negative emotions, he gets Negative Energy, which increases his speed and strength. He can only use one type of energy at one time and though he can usually decide which to use, if a large amount of people around him are feeling a certain type of emotion, his semblance will use that energy, regardless of he wishes to, as the overload of those emotions going into him block out the other side. As well, whichever energy he uses usually depicts his mood/influences it, causing him to seem either euphoric or insane in extreme situations, due to the overwhelming rush of emotional energy. Theoretically, since the semblance is converting emotions into energy and then using it, Drake could eventually learn to not just use it within himself, but also project it outward. To use the semblance costs 25 Aura points, then a continuous drain of 10 points each post after the semblance has been activated.
