Huh? Where did you come fro- Erm, nevermind. What do you want? I'm kind of busy if you can't tell right now. If it's not important get what you came for and go- You wanted to talk to me? Okay… Start talking then. You want to get to know me? Heh, boy you must be desperate to do a thing like that. Alright, I'll bite, what did you want to know? Keep in mind there are some things that I won't talk about with you or anyone else. I have my secrets and fair share of bad memories that I don't like discussing, and that isn't about to change any time soon. That said, if it's about my past, you might as well walk out that door and forget about trying to be my friend cause we aren't gonna get along if you pry. If it's about school or idle chit chat though I suppose I could chat about that sort've stuff while I work, if I had to anyway. However, if it's about something more important please do tell. Depending on what it is you'll have my full attention. So what is it? Don't make me waiting. I don't like when people waste my time.
Friends? I guess I know a few people who can be called that. I'm really not much for others though so friends don't often come easily. Besides, more often times than not I've found they're more trouble than they are worth. I mean I'm not opposed to making them, sure, but I don't want their drama nor do I want to be their bosom buddy right out of the gate. If that happens over time then fine, yeah, but otherwise I'd prefer to keep any relationship like that at arm's length otherwise. I just feel I don't need someone attached at the hip as it were nor do I want to be attached to someone else in that way. All that ends up happening when that’s the case is you become complacent to the world around you and when it all falls apart it hurts that much more. Who would want that? I sure as hell don't.
Yeah, I supposed I've had and still have a few of those in my life. That said, becoming my enemy is the last thing that you'd ever want to do. I can be your bestest friend in the world, peaches and cream even, but if you become my enemy you'll find yourself on a special list reserved for those heinous enough to earn my gaze. In other words, if you become my enemy you also become my next target. I'll let you figure out what that means.
Eh? Well this conversation just went from awkward to weird now, didn't it? I guess if I have to talk about it I should simply say that romance isn't a thing I excel at. I'm, um, less than graceful and well, to put it bluntly, I like girls. A lot. Otherwise I feel much the same way about romance that I do about friends in that those kinds of relationships are often just more trouble than they are worth. It's not to say I'm opposed to a relationship, at all really, it's just that something like that would take a while to develop most likely it wouldn't go the distance. If I could find a nice girl though who I clicked with and against all of the odds she was perfect in every way maybe I'd have a chance of actually finding love, but I'm not counting on it. So yeah- Oh, hey, look at the time. I best be running off to my next class. This was just… super fun. Super fun. I'll catch you later? I guess? Anyway, later!
- • Amethyst's entire name actually ascribes to the naming convention that Monty Oum set out for fan-made characters as does all of the supporting characters in her history. In particular Amethyst name means "Purple Raven of Peace" being derived from Amethyst, which is dark purple, and Ingram which in German means "Ing's Raven", Ing being the Norse god of peace and fertility and his Raven being black in color. Etymology is fun, ain't it?
- • Amethyst's lineage I distinctly made the equivalent of German and Japanese as a means to pay homage to Neon Genesis Evangelion's Asuka Langley-Sohryu.
- • Amethyst's Official Soundtrack list can be found <here> which includes her theme song as well as other hand-picked favorites that might help to set the mood when threading with her.
- • Another fun fact is that Amethyst's theme song, "Re:Re:" by Amanda Lee, was chosen because of its symbolism and how it relates to Amethyst's life as she's grown over the years from the viewpoints of the major supporting characters in her history.
- • Paradise Lost, Amethyst's Semblance, is first and foremost based off of Shiki Ryougi's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception from Kara no Kyoukai, otherwise known as Garden of Sinners (which isn't accurate, but hey.) Additionally though, its name is also based off of a sister character to Amethyst's Face Claim Paradise whose name is Paradise Lost.
- • Aveline, Amethyst's flintlock pistol, was more or less based off of Evelyn from Bloodborne though the picture used as its example is of an actual gun that I've edited slightly.
- • Noire at one point was almost called the Ashen Blade as a means to pay homage to Dark Souls III and was a much older blade with some intense historical value. Although I decided against it opting for a newer blade instead.
- • Noire's example image is of the sword Crimson Blitz from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII which has had its color scheme slightly tweaked.
- • Amethyst's aura, when active, pays homage to both Ruby Rose from RWBY and Dark Souls III by giving off light flitters of blue-violet ember-like light as she moves around. I had always loved the embered appearance of Dark Souls III characters as well as Ruby's Rose petals so the idea to do this was more or less a no brainer given much of the influences and inspirations I was working with.
- • Provided you've read <Amethyst's Profile> you might be wondering what some of the faces from her past look like. So, without further ado let's introduce the cast:
- ◦ Airi Homura-Ingram, Amethyst's deceased biological mother and a former Special Operative for the Atlesian Military: <External Link>
- ◦ Heidelberg Rot Von Ingram, Amethyst's deceased biological father and a former professor at Vytal Academy: <External Link>
- ◦ Rufous Kuznetsov, Amethyst's adoptive father and a former friend of the family. He was the man who murdered her biological mother and who framed her biological father for the crime: <External Link>
- ◦ Blanche Gorman, Amethyst's deceased nanny and former teacher who had been working undercover as a special operative prior to her death to expose Rufous's operation: <External Link>
- ◦ Doctor Nilima Sarka, the doctor who cared for and treated Amethyst's wounds after she escaped Rufous's clutches: <External Link>
- ◦ Brigadier General Atlan Schwarzenmauer, the Atlesian General whom Blanche told Amethyst in her dying breath to bring the information she'd gathered to: <External Link>
- ◦ Cinereous Hargrave, Amethyst's god father who was a former friend of her parents and was on the same team as them when they were younger along with Rufous: <External Link>
- • Ironically, though it didn't happen this way, Amethyst's profile word cap was supposed to be 5,000 words which ended up coming to over 11,000 when it was all said and done. This much has officially convinced me that I can't make short profiles anymore. Oh joy.
- • And last, but certainly not least, I would like to say that Amethyst does have some surprises up her sleeve as well as Easter Eggs hidden throughout her profile alluding to them. So be sure to look forward to that and keep your eyes peeled. You never know where the hidden truth may lay.
