So hey there, community!
Bet you’re wondering why there wasn’t an update towards the beginning of the month, huh? No worries, lemme tell you what happened!
What’s what? You don’t care and you just want an update? Well fine, then!
All joking aside, apologies for not keeping to my update schedule! Life has been hectic to say the least, and between work and site things I’ve found it a little difficult to keep up with some of the admin-ly things - like these updates! No worries, though. Things are finally clearing up, the muse is strong, and our current event is running smoothly despite some of those hiccups!
So what’s going on OOC? Well, not a lot actually. We’re continuing to see growth across the site as expected. New members are bringing in cool new characters, while the current community continues to pump out new characters of their own - either way, the plot is thickening and a lot of cool stuff is about to go down in-character! Before we get to that, though - a few announcements!
As some of you may know, and I believe it came up in the last update, there is currently a PLAN to move REMNANTS to a premium service host. When and if this occurs is currently up in the wind, but it is a plan! The caveat is, should we move, we CANNOT export data that currently exists on the site - so we might have to stay here for the sake of convenience!
Contests are also a thing that will be coming soon! These will range in category from character creation, to writing, to plotting. Prizes for the different contests will vary, with some things having monetary value and other things not. From site flair to things like gift cards, the finer details of all that are currently in the works!
Last but not least are OTMs! Similar to contests, OTMs are a thing I’ve thought about doing for quite some time - the opportunity to really dive into it has never come up. Categories for OTMs will include things like Member OTM, Couple OTM, Team OTM, Thread OTM, etc. It’ll be a cool little deal, I think, so we’ll see where it goes as planning progresses!
NOW FOR ROLE PLAY NEWS!
We are currently in the middle of Episode 5 - The Wings of Change - which sees several characters come together to celebrate the loss of Aisio Pendragon (played by ShadowBright), one of Legion’s best and brightest. Something foul is currently stirring behind the scenes - a darkness invoked by one of the event’s participants! Buckle up and hang out tight, because things are about to get intense!
After Episode 5, we will see preparations for the VYTAL FESTIVAL - and event many of you have been looking forward to! This will be a month-long event through all of November, with the Tournament taking up the first week or two and the Dance taking up the two weeks following. Any day in between, should you decide to partake in the festivities, can be used for wandering around the festival and building up your characters and their personal plots. If it lives up to the hype that’s been building, it’s sure to be a blast!
That about wraps it up for this update! This’ll be the only one this month, since I covered almost everything there is to go over. That said, at the very end of the month I will be posting an update AND sending an email out with regards to our Top Posters!
