★ APPEARANCE
Standing at 5'2", Soma is not a physically imposing person. She weighs 155 lbs(thanks to her metal prosthetics) and has a modest, femenine figure. Her hair is black, and her skin is a light shade. She is quite muscular and toned from hard training with her heavy metal prosthetics. Her Faunus lineage has given her a somewhat strange dermal physiology, with patches of blue scales every here and there that blend seamlessly with her body, and dull orange eyes that have pupils like a lizard's. Her tail is entirely scaled with turquoise scales and black stripes.
When in her huntress garb, Soma wears a hooded, completely black garment similar to a gi, with a flexible breastplate made of layered kevlar and carbon fiber. She ties the ankles and wrists of her garment down to keep them out of her way, but it usually doesn't last long after she's fired a round from her leg or deployed the blade in her arm. She wears a mask made of the same material as her breastplate to protect her face, and usually keeps her hood up to make her head positioning ambiguous when she dodges and weaves. In a more casual setting, when not wearing her school uniform, Soma generally wears whatever is comfortable, normally leaning towards the shorts and tee shirt end of the spectrum.

Originally, Soma was born with no future, to a poor family living in Pinnacle. She has no memories of them, however, as a Grimm incursion took them from her before she was 3 years old. She was bundled up and taken by a relative to an evacuation area, and her parents were never seen again. Being an orphan in a refugee camp, Soma learned how to take care of herself. By the age of 5 years old she had already made friends with a well-to-do retired Hunter from Rift who kept her out of trouble and away from the wrong crowds. Eventually the kind Hunter adopted her, and she had found the parent that she had been waiting for.
At the age of 10 years old, her adoptive father began teaching her the basic concepts of Aura and Aura control. While she herself could not project her Aura just yet, the Hunter believed it was good to start early. One year later, though, her early training may have been what saved her life. On her way to see some of the more interesting parts of Pinnacle, the train she was on had a terrible accident. By the time authorities got to the site of the accident, she was unconscious from blood-loss, but barely alive because her Aura had already sealed the wounds where her left arm and right leg used to be.
Her adoptive father was wracked with grief when he saw her, but when she told him she wasn't willing to just give up, a new spark of hope filled him, and he was quick to pull every available resource he had to arrange for top-of-the-line prosthetics to be made for her in Legion. It wasn't ever easy, and she would grow out of them every couple years, but she trained hard and studied harder, eventually being accepted at a local combat school in Pinnacle.
When it was time for her to go to a more serious, higher-level combat school, her adoptive father had only one place in mind: Vytal. Having graduated from Vytal himself, he knew that she would love it there, plus it would be a great opportunity for her to see other parts of Remnant. Now, at Vytal Academy, Soma trains her absolute hardest to be the best at what she does.

WEAPONS
Swift Justice and Furious Recompense. Soma fights with a brutal hand-to-hand fighting style that revolves around her left arm and right leg, which are both prosthetics. Her arm, Swift Justice, ends with fingers that have very sharp titanium claws, designed to rip and shred. Additionally, a thin, 1 1/2 foot blade folds out of the back of her elbow that she uses to slash and stab. Occasionally, she'll charge the blade with green dust and send whirlwinds flying from her arm.
Her leg, Furious Recompense, is more traditional and ends like her left leg does, (as a human foot) albeit artificial. However, this limb also contains a surprise: a pair of twin .50 caliber rifle barrels are hidden in her thigh, and she can fire them at will by hitching her knee in just the right way, a move she has practiced from every position ever since she received the prosthetic. The cartridges are specially designed, and have to be loaded as a "strip-clip" into the side of her leg, holding a maximum of 8 rounds. She normally augments these rounds with red dust, to make her rounds carry that extra incendiary punch. Additionally, she carries a few emergency clips of purple dust-loaded rounds, for enemies with thicker armor.

Being a Faunus, Soma has a few animalistic traits that make her stand out from other fighters. Her right hand, the real one, has sharp talons. She also has a long, slender tail that she whips around and trips opponents up with, but usually uses this as a distraction. She also carries a few tertiary items of additional equipment, including her breastplate, face mask, and a brace of small knives that she can easily throw or wield as an impromptu melee weapon if the need should arise.
Soma's Aura is dark green, giving off a feeling of paranoia to anyone touching her while it is active. She has the Mending ability, and can heal a wide range of wounds, and the AP cost varies based on how severe it is. (2-7 AP per attempt, depending wound severity)

Under the shade of a tree, she can become hazy or mirage-like, making her a difficult target to track, especially when she's moving. In darkness, she is all but invisible, basically disappearing to all but the sharpest of eyes. The semblance requires at least 10 AP in her AP pool to activate, and consumes 5 AP per 15 seconds of continued use.
