CBOX RULES
- Be respectful of your fellow members. Messages intended to be hurtful, instigating, or otherwise rude will be deleted without notice. Staff members - indicated by the teal-ish background for mods or orange for admin - will practice diligence in policing of the cbox. If you see anyone breaking the rules, please let them know immediately.
- Activity makes friends! The more time you spend in the chat, the better your public image is sure to be on-site (assuming you follow the rules, of course). Being on one's best behavior not only looks good on a personal level, but it also helps build the site's credibility as a friendly community. If you know the answer to a question, feel free to try and help the person asking! If you're not able to, but you have a method of communicating with absent Staff, try to get their attention! These are but a few examples of how you can contribute to the site without being a member of the staff team.
- Please do not roleplay in the cbox. We have an IC-cbox for plotting in-character without running threads, and it is the only place where RP is acceptable out of the forums. Indirectly related is PDA (Public Display of Affection) when it become excessive. An occasional “*hug*” or any other “*insert action here*” is fine, just don't overdo it, as it risks creating an uncomfortable environment for other users.
- Drama is strictly forbidden in the cbox. The community is not made of a group of therapists, and therefor should not be your one-stop shop for venting. If you wish to discuss matters that might fall into the realm of “Drama”, please keep it to PM or private messaging via Skype or other IM service. Topics such as religion, politics, and “social injustice” rants (e.g. ____ism, _____ Lives Matter, etc.) will also not be tolerated in the cbox due to varying opinions and the possibility of those opinions getting out of hand. If these subjects are things you wish to discuss, start a thread for them in the General Discussion forum.
- Absolutely zero advertising other sites is allowed in the cbox. This includes things as blatant as link-dropping or frequently/subtly bringing up a site in passing. Yes, you are allowed to participate on other sites - no one is going to stop you from doing that. However, consistently discussing another site (especially in cases when it’s almost always the same one) is in poor taste. Wouldn’t want us doing that in your cbox, right?
- Pertaining to new RWBY episodes: With the exception of RWBY Chibi, which is officially non-canon, the cbox is to remain spoiler-free for seventy-two (72) hours following the episode’s release to YouTube. Once the latter occurs, the episode will be posted in a dedicated thread in the General Discussion forum.
- Don't spam the chat. This includes dropping spammy links or posting in broken sentences. If you don't know what that means, then just don't be annoying and irrelevant We have a section for that, too.
Here’s an example of posting in broken sentences.:18 Jul 16, 10:35 AM
