★ APPEARANCE
Undoubtedly, the best words to describe Jackie are gangly and furtive. Her eyes are a muddy hazel, and usually lie half hidden behind her fringe of limp brown hair, while her face wears an almost perpetual expression of uncertain worry. Her skin is naturally tan, but tinted with a faint paleness that gives it a clammy appearance, not helped by her tendency to nervously sweat. On her better days, she might convince her shoulder length hair into a pony tail, but it's usually not long before it works its way out despite its inherent, lifeless-limpness.
Though she is only a little shorter than six feet, Jackie slouches constantly, and is almost always drawn in upon herself as if in expectation of some kind of attack. Her movements are clumsy and uncoordinated, like she doesn't quite know the proportions of her body, which is narrow and plain. Her fashion sense is demure and unassuming, with Jackie preferring practical blouses and, whenever possible, knee length skirts. When she can be convinced to wear something a little less conservative, she doesn't tend to get much bolder than a simple top and loose-fitting pants. If she can manage it, Jackie will never wear anything that could be considered eye catching, and she tends to stick clear of all but the most washed out and faded colors.

★ PERSONALITY
★ HISTORY
Jackie's life has been rocky one. Born in Legion, her parents were both acclaimed and skilled huntsman, the latest in a long line of skilled and acclaimed huntsman. A quiet girl by nature, Jackie showed herself to be sensitive and inquisitive, who was both fascinated and frightened by the dangers that lay upon the fringes of civilization. It was these dangers which her parents frequently alluded to. It was their attempt to impress upon her both the perilous nature of the outside world and that world's need for hunters. Unlike her older brother, Jackie never entertained the thought of becoming a huntress like her ancestors before her, for her's was a gentle and timid nature, ill suited to the rigors of a huntsman's life. She was content for a quiet, normal life, where the hardship and fighting was left to those more capable than her. Seeing their daughter's inclination, Jackie's parents raised her gently, or at least as gently as could be expected from a family with a pedigree such as theirs.
It was when Jackie started school that the first cracks formed beneath the quiet, peaceful life she wanted for herself. Having not inherited her mother's comely aspect, nor her father's confidence and self respect, Jackie was an awkward child, one easily frightened and even more easily coerced. Adding to her difficulties was a certain precociousness in her character, which set her apart from children her own age. She found it difficult to connect with others, though not through want of trying. By the time she first started school, Jackie had only managed to make and retain a single friend who was not her little brother. Things only grew harder from there. Jackie found it hard to relate to her peers, and they found it equally hard to relate to her. To them, she was a cravenly and brattish know-it-all, while she found them brutish and incongruous in their behaviors. Naturally, she was singled out as different and, lacking the eloquence to use such novelty to her advantage, Jackie was frequently bullied for her eccentricities. This set the tone for Jackie's adolescence, wherein she found herself incapable of excelling in any area which her peers much value, and the one field where she was exceptional managed only to earn her scorn and derision. Naturally, she grew even more reluctant and withdrawn, and would seldom even interact with children her own age if she was not forced to do so. Which she quite frequently was. Seeing their daughter's isolation, Jackie's parents naturally tried to intervene. They made her join sports teams and clubs, set up play-dates and just generally tried to break Jackie out of her shell. Their efforts were in vain, however, as it seemed that everything and anything could be a source of anxiety and dread for the awkward girl. She was too infirm and frail for organized sports, and her strange ideas and precocious tendencies proved just as great a barrier to friendship there as they had everywhere else. Clubs turned out to be even more disastrous for, though technical and intelligent, she was even more self-defeating in areas where her specific talents might have let her excel. Jackie shied from every opportunity to set herself apart from her peers, and was ever fearful of drawing attention to herself. Her anxieties were made all the worse by the presence of her brother who, despite being a scant ten months her elder, showed great promise and confidence in just about every area where she was lacking. She grew used to living in his shadow, while at the same time seeking him and him alone for comfort, as he was the only child her age who seemed to understand her. Then, just after she turned twelve, Jackie's life took a strange turn.
Due to the closeness of their age, Jackie and Raven both began attendance at Vytal Academy in the same year. It was thanks primarily to the aura training they both received in the first year that Jackie's life eventually took the course it did. Each student was encouraged to tap into their inner strength, to feel the power within them, but Jackie had found the task to be quite beyond her. She struggled to so much as brush her own power, while other students were learning to express theirs. She likened the experience to trying to hold a ball of ice with numb hands. She knew something was there, but felt as though something hard and slippery had been wrapped around it, something which she could not break. Desperate as she was to tap into her aura, for doing so was a requirement to so much as pass the first year at Vytal, Jackie would spend as much as an hour after each class trying to overcome her block. During one such session, she was accosted by a group of girls who had included Jackie on the list of fellow students they might torment whenever the mood struck them. With the trivial cruelty which so classically characterizes children of a certain age, they mocked Jackie for everything from her gangly aspect, to her awkward nature, to her inability to so much as sense her own aura. Quiet a she was, Jackie tried to fly rather than endure the abuse which she'd grown so accustomed to. Only this time, her escape was barred and, upon trying to shove her way through, she was knocked violently to the ground. What happened next remains the subject of some conjecture among the staff and students of Vytal. What is generally agreed upon is that, though Jackie was the one knocked to the floor, it was not Jackie who picked herself up off of it. And none present ever dared to bar her way again.
From that day forward, whenever Jackie attended any sort of training, she did so with uncharacteristic confidence and self-assurance. What was more, such episodes were accompanied by a substantial increase in not only Jackie's physical strength, but her overall resilience and stamina, making her more than a match for any student her own age. Her abilities with aura were still sub-par but she supplemented her lackluster defense with unparalleled resilience to much the same effect. This sudden change was immediately ascribed to Jackie's emergent semblance, which most presumed to be some permutation of the Clovis family's hereditary semblance. Except that, where most Clovis directed their semblance outward, Jackie's somehow directed itself inward. This conclusion was supported by the fact that Jackie's eyes took on the characteristic golden hue of her brother's and parents whenever she used her semblance. Despite these developments, Jackie's confidence outside of training remained unchanged and, in fact, actually seemed to suffer. Despite now excelling beyond even her older brother's rapidly increasing skills, she was more anxious than ever when not directly pitting her abilities against other students.
In the years that followed, Jackie engaged in whatever tournament or contest she could, hungry for any opportunity to pit herself against her peers. As she grew however, the dichotomy of her unbelievable strength and incorrigible anxiety grew with her, as did the apparent strain of her dual existence. Jackie the student grew more reserved, fretful and withdrawn, while Jackie the fighter reached ever greater heights with respect to any physical challenge set before her. Then, before school and parents alike, Jackie did something truly unprecedented. During the closing ceremony for a tournament in which she had performed especially well, Jackie had raged at being called up to the podium to accept her award. She had shouted with incredible volume and vehemence that Jackie didn't deserve any awards. With frightful ferocity, she seized her medal from the stunned orator's hand and shouted to anyone that would listen that she was not Jackie. It wasn't until she was forcibly removed that she ceased in her tirade, at which point she promptly collapsed into inconsolable tears. After that, it came out that Jackie's semblance didn't work quite the way anyone had thought it did, and that she'd been trying to hide its true nature ever since first using it. It wasn't, as everyone had assumed, an enhancement in the style of other semblances her family had exhibited. Instead, Jackie explained how she had cracked the shell she'd perceived surrounding her aura the day she'd first used her semblance, and how she'd found something utterly alien within. This alien presence had overwhelmed her, shoved her to the back of her own mind, taken absolute control of her body, and then risen up in her defense. Every time since that she has touched her aura, she has perceived it as being the same icy surface, except one webbed with minute cracks. What was more, though she hadn't conscious, she could remember every moment when her consciousness had been supplanted. The pair forged an uneasily alliance after that and, for a time, the Other was happy to tackle the challenges which Jackie could not. Years of watching all her achievements be ascribed to Jackie, however, had soured her on their present arrangement. Now she wanted not only to be challenged, but to be credited for her accomplishments.
Calling herself Heidi, the Other demanded that she be recognized as an individual, and refused to continue under the pretense that she and Jackie were the same person. Though it was strange at first, Jackie's family soon came to accept this new added strangeness that their daughter had introduced into their lives, and Heidi was free to forge a relationship of her own with her parents and brother. Confident and bold as she was, she grew much closer to all three than Jackie had ever been. Her parents, for their part, happily mentored this newest addition to their family, and were more than happy to encourage her burgeoning desire to become a huntress. Jackie for her part, also enjoyed some relief from thsi revised arrangement. Though she could no longer take credit for Heidi's accomplishments, it was worth no longer have to hide what her semblance actually did. After that, things pretty much continued as they had before, except now Heidi was given the acknowledgement she so desired while Jackie was allowed to slip wholly from the spot light. And things were good for the unusual pair. For her part, Heidi's strength and skill promised an exceptional career as a huntress, and none doubted that would be the path the pair inevitably pursued.
Then tragedy struck, and Jackie's parents were taking from her, while her brother was left barely alive and in a coma. All at once, the stability and security which had ever been a fixture of Jackie's life fell out from under her, and she was left utterly alone in the world. Without friends nor family, and with no other escape, it was only Heidi whom she could turn to. Meanwhile, Heidi responded in the only way she knew how. She searched for someone to blame for the tragedy. When the details of the event came to light, and how their parents had all but sacrificed themselves in order to save Raven, Heidi naturally held her brother responsible. Had Raven been able to defend himself, or provide his own account of the terrible events that shattered their family, perhaps things would have been different.
Of the two of them, it was Heidi whom that following year changed the most. Stricken with grief as she was, Jackie frequently sought escape through her sister, leaving Heidi ample time to grow bitter and cold to the world that had betrayed them. Her thoughts, a darker and more passionate reflection of Jackie's, turned spiteful and angry. She began lashing out at anyone and anything, and grew brutal and unrestrained in her fury. Heidi earned a reputation as, if not the strongest, then the most violent and dangerous freshman of her year as a result.
Jackie, for her part, has only grew more isolated after losing her parents and, were it not for Heidi's increasing instability, she might have withdrawn from the world entirely. Where once her sister might have been trusted not to jeopardize them both, Heidi lashed out more and more as her bitterness and resentment grew, forcing Jackie to allow her fewer liberties, which just intensified the greater sister's wroth. As a result, Jackie spent her freshman year knowing that escape was but a thought away, but that things would only be worse when she once again had control over her body. It was only for the sake of stability and security that Jackie remained at Vytal. With nowhere familiar to her which might not also incite her sister's rage, it was only at the academy where Jackie could feel safe and Heidi's anger might be defused.
After a year of this balancing act, neither sister was glad when their brother miraculously recovered. Jackie resented him for abandoning her and leaving her to struggle as she had with no one else but Heidi to support her, while Heidi hated him for his weakness in allowing their parents to die. Thus, they cut ties with Raven altogether. Jackie because seeing him was too painful for her and Heidi because she was sure she might kill him if given the chance.
That is how the start of their second year at Vytal found the curious pair, and they continued much in that same way. Jackie has all but given up on fitting in, and simply tries to keep her head down, that she might avoid any backlash for the things her sister does. Heidi, for the most part, has not given up on her training, though what drives her now is less a desire for more strength and more an irrational loathing of all Grimm. It is this seething hatred, more than Jackie's own desires, which keeps Heidi from risking anything which might see them kicked out of the Academy. She does not, however, feel any compulsion to make things any easier for Jackie, and her antics have rendered the lesser sister a complete pariah
It seems certain that their relationship can only continue to deteriorate, but things are at least stable for now.

Heidi
Heidi is broad and powerful where her sister is slight and unassuming. Her eyes glitter, bright and golden, while her hair bounces with vitality and life. Though the approximate arrangement of their facial features remains the same, there is a laughing and dangerous quality to Heidi's countenance, which tends to be bold and expressive.
Standing a full six inches taller than Jackie, Heidi towers over most girls her age and delights in looming imposingly over those shorter than she is. Her body comes as close to conventional beauty as any single person might get, with well defined muscles and alluring curves evenly proportioned across her alluring frame. Her skin is evenly tanned and unblemished, and she likes to show off as much of it as she can get away with. Her preferred outfits seldom consist of much more than a tank-top and pair of work out shorts, though she also likes sporty attire and has an especial fondness for leather. When forced to cover up, she will usually pick something eye-catching and preferably form fitting, which draws as much attention to her attractive figure as possible.
Heidi likes most bright colors, but tends to stick to those that contrast well with one another, and is especially fond of blue on red.

★ COMBAT NOTES
WEAPONS
Orthus
Resembling a long sword and scabbard, Orthus is almost unremarkable in its generic design. The sword itself is composed of an unadorned hilt and simplistic cross guard, both wholly utilitarian in their design, with the only notable trait being that the hilt's length accommodates both one handed and two handed usage. The blade is thing and two-sided, and tapers to a sharp, diamond headed point. Ideal for thrusting attacks, it is light enough to be wielded in one hand and sturdy enough to pierce armor, provided the opportunity and force enough to do so. A little over a meter in length, Jackie employs Orthus as an estoc, using its dense point and sturdy length to land deep, piercing blows with very little in terms of flair or style. Such a mobile style taxes her greatly, and Jackie is barely coordinated enough to make use of its deadly point, but she is at least competent in its use. Like Jackie herself, the sword of Orthus is understated, unadorned and practical.
The sheathe of Orthus is another story entirely. Intricately decorated to the point of extravagance, Orthus' scabbard is constructed from dense, interlocking steel plates of deepest black, fringed in intricate golden filigree. Though prohibitively heavy, Jackie carries the scabbard upon her back on a specially designed release. Unsurprisingly, its bulk and density encumber the slightly built girl considerably, but she is seldom seen without it.
It is when Orthus is within its scabbard that the estoc's more esoteric functions become available. Should the blade be twisted in a rapid clockwise-counterclockwise sequence while sheathed, the two pieces will become interlocked and the release holding it to Jackie's back will let go. Rapidly, the many plates composing its scabbard will spread out to twice their original width and extend the swords overall length by an additional third. The two bladed estoc is thereby traded for a single massive cutting edge which more closely resembles a steel paddle than a sword. Assuming anyone ever made a ore from obsidian and gold leaf. Huge, heavy and unwieldy, it is in this form that Orthus is most lethal. With a blade nearly two meters in length, it affords its wielder incredible and indiscriminate reach, with enough weight behind each swing to hew all but the densest armor plates. Unsurprisingly, it is this configuration which Heidi prefers, and she wields Orthus as equal parts greatsword and club, using its superior weight to slash and crush with equal abandon. Given her inhuman strength, Heidi may wield Orthus as easily as most huntresses would wield a conventional blade, and she has been known to shatter stone and cleave larger Grimm in two with but a single swing. Equally unsurprising, given its excessive weight and uneven balance, Jackie lacks both the strength and stamina to wield Orthus in its greatsword form.
MISC.
Diprosopus
There's nothing very remarkable about Diprosopus, outside of its mouthful of a name. Its polished wood grip attaches to twin barrels, affixed in an over under design, with a simple muzzle break on one end and a single hammer at the other. A sleek, lightweight pistol, it is capable of chambering only two cartridges at a time, and does so via a break system between handle and barrels. It incorporates a double and single firing action, but is otherwise unremarkable in its function. Light enough to be carried in one hand, it can be aimed and fired with relative alacrity, though its comparatively small cartridges don't pack much of a punch. Its compact size and ease of use make it the ideal firearm for Jackie, who tends to offhand with Diprosopus on occasion when she actually fights with Orthus. Heidi has nothing but contempt for the small pistol, however, which is far too lacking in stopping power for her to even consider its use. More often than not, she will forget Jackie even carries it.
-Flash Rounds: Loaded with a dust mixture of Jackie's own devising, Diprosopus' flash rounds are completely non-lethal and mostly incapable of dealing any sort of long-lasting injury. Their only function is to emit a sudden flash in the general direction which they are aimed. Though ineffective at ranges beyond a couple meters, the flash is so intense as to cause blindness and disorientation at close range.
Given that they are small and lightweight, Jackie carries about twenty flash rounds.
-Rifled Rounds: Custom milled to suit Diprosopus' unique proportions and loaded with a potent dust mixture for added punch, rifled rounds can travel great distances with neither loss of stopping power, nor drop off. The only catch is the gun they are fired from is ill suited to long distance shots. With an effective range of twenty meters (65 feet), rifled rounds can be fired as much as ten times that distance and still be effective, though the skill of their user is another story entirely.
Being a bit heavier than Flash rounds, Jackie only carries around ten rifled rounds.
Given Jackie's near total lack of aura control, not much less than mortal threat could compel her to express it. If pushed to such extremity, what is revealed is a barely visible shell of light blue convalescence, which Jackie wears like a protective cloak. It's surface is a network of fine fissures, giving the whole shell a beaten and worn appearance, with new cracks forming nearly as quickly as the eye can follow. Those close enough to feel it will gain a sense for the turmoil of its owner and find themselves filled with a great deal of doubt and uneasiness. Whatever scent it may have is barren and cold, like the sterile wastes of the deepest, most desolate tundra.
Strangely enough, Heidi's aura bears some characteristics that set it well apart from Jackie's. Rather than being singular and withdrawn, it bursts out from her in all directions. As uncontrolled as a tidal wave, it pours out, overrunning and drowning anything in its path. It feels strongly of confidence and power, and suffuses the air around her with the scent of vast, unimaginable expanses of deep, dark water.
Offensive Enhancement: 5 Aura
Chimera
Though even Jackie doesn't wholly understand the mechanics of her semblance, it seems clear that it's purpose is to allow her to overcome challenges which she would normally find overwhelming. It accomplishes this feat by making her exponentially stronger and tougher as well as markedly faster and more resilient, all while freeing her from anything so much as resembling doubt or hesitation. The change is so drastic, in fact, that it is enough to render Jackie nearly unrecognizable. Her muscles swell, her senses sharpen, and her expression hardens, all while her attitude and posture fill with a sense of vitality and confidence. Eyes, usually a soft hazel, begin to burn like molten gold. Even her hair, usually lank and thin, grows full-bodied and voluminous, more given to flowing in the wind than hanging down before her face, as it typically does. The end result is an almost complete subversion of Jackie's normal appearance, such that even those who know her well may not think she is the same person. Then again, given the ultimate effects of her transformation, perhaps that's not so surprising. After all, while her physical changes are certainly pronounced, they can hardly hold a candle to the other effects her semblance has. Namely, those it has on her physical capabilities.
While 'transformed', Jackie's overall physicality either matches or far exceeds those of her peers. Her strength grows exponentially beside the small amount of muscle mass she gains, such that she is capable of truly inhuman feats of physical power. These include, but are far from limited to, the ability to lift near to a thousand kilograms, punch hard enough to crack concrete, and crush rocks to powder in between her hands. Jackie also becomes considerably tougher, to such a degree that she can shrug off nominal attacks with little to no usage of her aura. Furthermore, her stamina increases such that all but the most preternatural exertions can not tire her out. Finally, a combination of sharpened senses, refined reflexes and a total absence of inhibition conspire to make Jackie considerably faster, though this heightened speed hardly reaches the super human capacity of her strength and endurance.
With all that said, it may come as a surprise that Jackie isn't always eager to activate her semblance. For, while Chimera does provide a substantial boost in both power and confidence, its most apparent effect is also its greatest drawback. That drawback's name is Heidi. Strong, confident, conventionally attractive and wickedly effective in a fight, Heidi is the epitome of everything Jackie wishes she could be. She is also arrogant, petty and pragmatic to a sociopathic degree. So far as she is concerned, nothing matters more than her own comfort and continued survival, and she will meet challenges to either with disproportionate levels of violence and aggression. Actually, violence is Heidi's default solution to any problem, and she gleefully doles it out with the reckless abandon of someone who has never dealt with consequences. Because while Jackie can activate her semblance, only Heidi can deactivate it. Which means that every time Heidi has gone too far, it's Jackie who has had to deal with the fall out. And considering just how strong her alter ego is, there is no real limit to how terrible that fallout could be. In fact, Heidi has only grown more malicious and cruel in her outbursts as the pair have grown up.Left to their own devices, there can be little doubt that Heidi could and undoubtedly would be the source of some great catastrophe. At least by surrounding herself with other strong fighters, Jackie has been able to reign her big sister in.
As previously noted, the exact mechanics of Jackie's semblance are indistinct, even to herself, and it's effects are more complicated than simply making her stronger and tougher while giving her personality an overhaul. As much is observable in the fact that Heidi has grown stronger, tougher and markedly more abrasive over the past few years. Given her already prominent capacity for destruction, any ability to actually grow more powerful is worth noting, and keeping a careful eye on. It's really no wonder that Jackie tries to avoid surrendering control to her big, bad sister.
Transforming into Heidi requires a considerable investment of aura [25 points per activation], but the transformation itself may be maintained for a considerable length of time[1 point per hour of use]. She can be forced to revert prematurely, but this requires either extreme overexertion or nearly fatal degrees of injury. What is more likely is that Heidi will get bored and decide to give control back to Jackie of her own free will. This can take as little as five minutes and as much as three weeks. As a result, Jackie is taking a great risk whenever she calls on her 'big sister' for aid. Reverting requires no investment of will or stamina, though the transformation does tend to leave Jackie feeling weak and disorientated.
WEAPONS
